RESUMEN

The behavior of sputtering yield and the surface roughness of monocrystalline silicon of orientations ⟨100⟩, ⟨110⟩, and ⟨111⟩ under the ion-beam bombardment by neutralized Ar ions with energies of 200-1000 eV is studied. The significant dependence (modulation) of sputtering yield on incidence angle due to crystalline structure is observed. It is shown that a sharp increase in the sputtering yield and a decrease in the effective surface roughness at energies above 400 eV occurs. At energies of more than 400 eV for orientations ⟨100⟩, ⟨110⟩, and ⟨111⟩ at normal ion incidence, smoothing of the effective roughness in the range of spatial frequencies ν∈[4.9⋅10-2-6.3⋅101µm-1] up to a value of 0.17 nm is observed. This makes it possible to use the ion-beam etching technique for finishing polishing, aspherization, and correction of local shape errors of single-crystal silicon substrates, which are of the greatest interest for synchrotrons of the 3rd+ and 4th generation and x-ray free electron lasers.

RESUMEN

The combination of inherited and acquired factors of increased thrombosis complicates establishing the cause-effect relationships between mechanical injury and death during forensic medical examination. Morphometric parameters of the lung tissue and pulmonary vessels in isolated mechanical trauma under conditions of moderate hyperhomocysteinemia were studied in an experiment on laboratory animals. A regularity in changes of the morphometry parameters of the pulmonary vessels was found. Morphometric changes in the wall of pulmonary parenchyma veins can be used as an additional marker to assess the causal relationship between isolated mechanical injury and fatal complication in the form of pulmonary embolism.

RESUMEN

Nowadays, a lot of people need in reconstruction of the teeth in connection with their loss. Before prosthetics or any other manipulations, a person wants to quickly see the aesthetic appearance of his future tooth. At the moment, many dentists use the option of verbal explanation to the patient, what will look like a smile or a front row of teeth after treatment, but the visual representation of the person remains aside. But now this can be achieved with the help of "Digital smile design", which shows the person the final result of the dentition. This technology has a number of advantages. Some of them are the rapid creation of a prototype model and high accuracy in the manufacture of work. Thanks to these technologies, communication between the specialist and the patient has been facilitated. The digital smile design has simplified the doctor's work process and reduced patient data processing time. From now on, achieving aesthetic results in the reconstruction of teeth for the dentist is not a problem.

RESUMEN

We studied the effect of IL-1ß on the permeability of brain capillaries in healthy mice. Intravital microscopy demonstrated that parenteral administration of IL-1ß was followed by an increase in vascular permeability ensuring passage of free Alexa488 fluorescent label through the capillary walls, but not sufficient for penetration of liposomes. In addition, experiments on mice with intracranial M6 glioma showed penetration of liposomes through the walls of tumor capillaries after parenteral administration of IL-1ß in a concentration of 2 µg/ml. Thus, the use of proinflammatory cytokine IL-1ß in the therapy of brain tumors can significantly increase the therapeutic efficacy of drug delivery systems, in particular, for drugs poorly crossing the blood-brain barrier.

RESUMEN

We studied internalization of vector nanocarriers loaded with plasmid DNA into C6 glioma cells. For improving selectivity of plasmid delivery, the liposomes were conjugated with monoclonal antibodies to VEGF and its receptor VEGFR2. Flow cytofluorometry and laser scanning confocal microscopy showed more intensive (more than 2-fold) internalization and accumulation of antibody-vectorized liposomes in C6 glioma cells in comparison with the control (liposomes conjugated with non-specific antibodies and non-vectorized liposomes). Using quantitative analysis of fluorescent signal, we showed that cationic immunoliposomes significantly more effective delivered pCop-Green-N plasmid DNA and ensured effective transfection of C6 glioma cells.
