OBJECTIVE: To explore the impact of routine management compared to case management on social support and self-efficacy of patients with chronic diseases and assess the new nurse-led healthcare collaborative model. METHODS: This is a prospective study which was approved by the Biomedical Ethics Committee of Anhui Medical University. A total of 100 patients with chronic diseases who received treatment and care in Hefei First People's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the study subjects and divided into a control group and an observation group according to the numerical table method, with 50 cases in each group. In the control group, conventional management was implemented, while the observation received a nurse-led healthcare collaborative care, which included community doctors providing treatment services and family doctors contracting to manage care. The patients in the two groups were compared in terms of self-efficacy, self-management ability, social support, and their attendance. RESULTS: Before the intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in self-efficacy, compliance and quality of life scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After the intervention, self-efficacy, compliance and quality of life scores were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). A statistical assessment of the transfer of patients from the community to the hospital was also conducted for both groups, and it was found that the proportion of patients transferred from the community to the hospital was significantly higher in the observation group compared to that in the control group after surgery, with statistically significant differences in hospital costs, hospital days and readmission rates between the two groups (P<0.05). The proportion of patients transferred from the hospital to nursing home increased by 72.2% in the observation group compared to only 35.5% in the control group, and the discharge rate (home care) was significantly higher in the observation group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: This study provides some references for the effective management of patients with chronic diseases. By comparing the data from the conventional and case care management models, it can be found that the use of a nurse-led healthcare collaborative model meets the acute medical and nursing service needs of older people, improves timely access to medical and nursing resources, and effectively improves self-efficacy, compliance and quality of life in patients with chronic diseases.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of cognitive and behavioral interventions for caregivers of children undergoing interventional surgery for congenital heart disease (CHD) during COVID-19. METHODS: A prospective study was conducted on 140 children with CHD who were hospitalized in the Department of Cardiology in a children's hospital from March 2020 to March 2022. The children were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group, with 70 cases in each group. In the control group, caregivers gave routine care, and in the intervention group, "Internet+" cognitive and behavioral interventions were given. The psychological status of caregivers before and after intervention, day care ability on the operation day, readiness for hospital discharge of the caregivers, sleep quality, and postoperative complications of the children, the medication compliance, review compliance and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the anxiety and depression scores of caregivers in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the caregiving ability and readiness for hospital discharge of the caregivers in the intervention group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The sleep quality of children in the intervention group was significantly better than that in the control group during the first week after operation (P<0.05). Postoperative complications were significantly fewer in the intervention group than in the control group (χ 2=24.433, P<0.001). The medication compliance, review compliance, and satisfaction were higher in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: During the pandemic period of COVID-19, "Internet+" cognitive and behavioral intervention has a good effect and should be promoted in clinical practice.

Background: Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is the most common serious pulmonary morbidity in preterm infants with high disability and mortality rates. Early identification and treatment of BPD is critical. Objective: This study aimed to develop and validate a risk scoring tool for early identification of preterm infants that are at high-risk for developing BPD. Methods: The derivation cohort was derived from a systematic review and meta-analysis of risk factors for BPD. The statistically significant risk factors with their corresponding odds ratios were utilized to construct a logistic regression risk prediction model. By scoring the weights of each risk factor, a risk scoring tool was established and the risk stratification was divided. External verification was carried out by a validation cohort from China. Results: Approximately 83,034 preterm infants with gestational age < 32 weeks and/or birth weight < 1500 g were screened in this meta-analysis, and the cumulative incidence of BPD was about 30.37%. The nine predictors of this model were Chorioamnionitis, Gestational age, Birth weight, Sex, Small for gestational age, 5 min Apgar score, Delivery room intubation, and Surfactant and Respiratory distress syndrome. Based on the weight of each risk factor, we translated it into a simple clinical scoring tool with a total score ranging from 0 to 64. External validation showed that the tool had good discrimination, the area under the curve was 0.907, and that the Hosmer-Lemeshow test showed a good fit (p = 0.3572). In addition, the results of the calibration curve and decision curve analysis suggested that the tool showed significant conformity and net benefit. When the optimal cut-off value was 25.5, the sensitivity and specificity were 0.897 and 0.873, respectively. The resulting risk scoring tool classified the population of preterm infants into low-risk, low-intermediate, high-intermediate, and high-risk groups. This BPD risk scoring tool is suitable for preterm infants with gestational age < 32 weeks and/or birth weight < 1500 g. Conclusions: An effective risk prediction scoring tool based on a systematic review and meta-analysis was developed and validated. This simple tool may play an important role in establishing a screening strategy for BPD in preterm infants and potentially guide early intervention.

Objective: The aim of the research article is to explore the significance of continuous nursing of the Omaha system in children after hypospadias surgery and its influence on infection complications. Methods: From April 2019 to April 2021, Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital treated 76 children with hypospadias and they were selected as the research objects. In the light of the random number table method, children were classified into the control group and the study group, with 38 cases in each group. The control group applied routine postoperative nursing intervention, while the study group received Omaha system continuous nursing intervention based on the control group. The Omaha system outcome evaluation, complication rate, quality of life, and nursing satisfaction were recorded and discussed in all children. Results: The levels of physiological and psychological environment and health behavior in both groups after intervention were significantly higher than those before the intervention, and the levels of all dimensions in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05); the complication rate in the study group was 10.53% significantly lower than that in the control group (28.95%). After intervention, the physiological function, psychological and social function, emotional function, social interaction, and school status of the two groups were significantly higher than before intervention, and the score of each dimension in the study group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05); the overall satisfaction of nursing in the study group was 94.74% significantly better than in the control group (81.59%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The continuous nursing intervention of the Omaha system for children with hypospadias can significantly improve the clinical condition of children, reduce the risk of infection complications, improve children's physical and mental health status, and improve nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical practice.

Background: The traditional indwelling needle catheter is hard and can only complete one puncture at a time. The safety and indwelling needle catheter is soft, with a large lumen, with high success rate of blood collection, and one puncture completes two operations, so it is of important value and significance to study the new safety and indwelling needle. To explore the clinical utility of a novel blood collection device with indwelling needle for blood collection among pediatric patients. Methods: A total of 300 children who were admitted to the children's hospital from March to June 2020 were selected and randomly divided into the control group (148) and the observation group (152). The control group received venipuncture using regular needles for infusion and blood collection. For the observation group, a modified indwelling needle device was used for the procedures. Comparisons were made between the two devices in five aspects: blood sample quality, operation time, needlestick incidence, related complications, and patient satisfaction. Results: There was no significant difference in coagulation rate between the two groups, but slightly lower overall hemolysis incidence in the observation group. The unqualified rate of blood specimens collected in the observation group was 10.0% lower than that in the control group (P < 0.05). Shorter operation time, lower incidence of needlestick injuries, and improved satisfaction were observed in the group using the novel blood collection device. Conclusions: This modified blood collection device is superior to the regular venipuncture needle, in terms of safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction; thus, it has potential for broad clinical applications for infusion and blood collection.

Growing evidence has indicated the association of clinical antibiotic use with abnormal blood lipid levels; however, no epidemiological study has examined the relationship of antibiotic exposure, probably derived from food chains, with blood lipid levels. This study investigated the relationships of urinary antibiotic levels with blood lipid levels and dyslipidemias in the older population. Baseline data of 960 participants from the Cohort of Elderly Health and Environment Controllable Factors were used in the present study. High-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) was performed to detect antibiotic residues in the urine samples of the participants. Our findings revealed that each 1 µg/g increase in enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin levels was associated with an increase of 0.084 (95 % confidence interval (CI): 0.030, 0.139) and 0.049 (95 % CI: 0.012, 0.086) in triglyceride levels, respectively. Enrofloxacin was associated with an increased risk of hypertriglyceridemia. Each 1 µg/g increase in the enrofloxacin level corresponded to an increase of 0.052 (95 % CI: 0.006, 0.098) in the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol level. Furthermore, florfenicol exposure increased the risks of both hyperbetalipoproteinemia and hypoalphalipoproteinemia. By contrast, each 1 µg/g increase in sulfaclozine and doxycycline levels was associated with a - 0.062 (95 % CI: -0.111, -0.020), and - 0.083 (95 % CI: -0.160, -0.007) decrease in total cholesterol levels, respectively. Sulfaclozine was closely related to a decreased risk of hypercholesterolemia. Stratification analysis revealed specific differences in the correlation between antibiotic exposure and lipid levels based on the waist circumference (WC) values of the participants. Except for sulfaclozine and doxycycline, other antibiotics exerted adverse effects on lipid levels and increased dyslipidemia prevalence. The older participants with higher WC values were vulnerable to antibiotic exposure. Therefore, an appropriate understanding of the epidemiological attributes of antibiotic residues is indispensable to prevent abdominal obesity in the older population.

Although antibiotic exposure in the general population has been well documented by a biomonitoring approach, epidemiologic data on the relationships between urinary antibiotic burden in the elderly with blood pressure (BP) are still lacking. The current study revealed thirty-four antibiotics in urine specimens from 990 elderly patients in Lu'an City, China, with detection frequencies ranging from 0.2 to 35.5%. Among the elderly, the prevalence of hypertension was 72.0%, and 12 antibiotics were detected in more than 10% of individuals with hypertension. The elderly with hypertension had the maximum daily exposure (5450.45 µg/kg/day) to fluoroquinolones (FQs). Multiple linear regression analyses revealed significant associations of BP and pulse pressure (PP) with exposure to specific antibiotics. The estimated ß values (95% confidence interval) of associations with systolic blood pressure (SBP) in the right arm were 4.42 (1.15, 7.69) for FQs, 4.26 (0.52, 8.01) for the preferred as human antibiotics (PHAs), and 3.48 (0.20, 6.77) for the mixtures (FQs + tetracyclines [TCs] (tertile 3 vs. tertile 1)), respectively. Increased concentrations of TCs were associated with decreased diastolic BP (DBP; tertile 3: -1.75 [-3.39, -0.12]) for the right arm. Higher levels of FQs (tertile 3: 4.28 [1.02, 7.54]), PHAs (tertile 3: 4.25 [0.49, 8.01]), and FQs + TCs (tertile 3: 3.99 [0.71, 7.26]) were associated with increased SBP, and an increase in DBP for FQs (tertile 3: 1.82 [0.22, 3.42]) was shown in the left arm. Also, higher urinary concentrations of FQs (tertile 3: 3.18 [0.53, 5.82]), PHAs (tertile 3: 3.42 [0.40, 6.45]), and FQs + TCs (tertile 3: 3.06 [0.40, 5.72]) were related to increased PP, whereas a decline in PP for TCs (tertile 2: -2.93 [-5.60, -0.25]) in the right arm. And increased concentrations of penicillin V (tertile 3: 5.31 [1.53, 9.10]) and FQs + TCs (tertile 3: 2.84 [0.19, 5.49]) were related to higher PP in the left arm. By utilizing restricted cubic splines, our current study revealed a potential nonlinear dose-response association between FQ exposure and hypertension risk. In conclusion, this investigation is the first to present antibiotic exposure using a biomonitoring approach, and informs understanding of impacts of antibiotic residues, as emerging hazardous pollutants, on the hypertension risk in the elderly.

Although exposure to antibiotics at a critical developmental time window has been implicated in mental health in observational and experimental studies, very limited bio-monitoring data are available for exposure to antibiotics associated with child mental disorders. The goal of our study was to examine the association between urinary exposure of children to antibiotics and mental health. The participants were 278 children from 256 eligible families in the urban-rural fringe of Fuyang city in China since June in 2017. A single-point urine sample was collected to measure the antibiotic concentrations to characterize the exposure levels. A total of 45 antibiotics from nine classes and their two metabolites were monitored through liquid chromatography electrospray tandem mass spectrometry. We used multivariable regressions to estimate the covariate-adjusted associations between urine-antibiotic concentrations and mental impairments, as assessed using the parent version of Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire. Among the participants, ciprofloxacin was associated with an increased risk of mental disorders at both lower concentrations (OR = 4.06; 95% CI 1.69-9.78) and higher concentrations OR = 6.04; 95% CI 2.59-14.08). After categorizing the detected antibiotics, the positive associations were observed between abnormal score in total difficulties and higher levels exposure to fluoroquinolones (OR = 2.83, 95% CI 1.38-5.80) and antibiotics preferred for veterinary use (PVAs) (OR = 3.20; 95% CI 1.41-7.27), respectively. Our findings suggest that ciprofloxacin, fluoroquinolones and PVAs, probably from contaminated food or environment, may be associated with child mental disorders.

BACKGROUND: Experimental and epidemiological studies have linked antibiotics use to gut dysbiosis-mediated risk of chronic metabolic diseases. However, whether adiposity is linked to antibiotic exposure in elderly remains inadequately understood. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the association between internal exposure of antibiotics and adiposity in elderly by using a biomonitoring method. METHODS: We included 990 participants (≥60 years) from the baseline survey of the Cohort of Elderly Health and Environment Controllable Factors in Lu'an city, China, from June to September 2016. Forty-five antibiotics and two metabolites in urine were monitored through liquid chromatography-electrospray tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS). Creatinine-corrected urinary concentrations were used to assess antibiotic exposure levels. Body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC) and body fat percentage (BFP) were used as indicators of adiposity. Multiple linear regression and binary logistic regression analyses were used to analyze the association of antibiotic concentrations with obesity-related indices. Subsequently, a gender-stratified analysis was performed. RESULTS: Of the included elderly, 50.7% were defined as having overweight/ obesity, 59.8% as having central preobesity/obesity, and 37.5% as having slightly high/high BFP. Linear regression analysis revealed that a 1-unit increase in the logarithmic transformation of norfloxacin concentrations was related with an increase of 0.29 kg/m2 (95% CI: 0.02-0.04), 0.99 cm (95% CI:0.24-1.75), and 0.69% (95% CI:0.21-1.17) in BMI, WC, and BFP, respectively. Compared with the control group, exposure to doxycycline (tertile 2: odds ratio, 2.06 [95% CI: 1.12-3.76]) and norfloxacin (tertile 2: 2.13 [1.05-4.29]; tertile 3: 2.07 [1.03-4.17]) had BMI-based overweight/obesity risk. Additionally, ciprofloxacin (tertile 2: 2.06 [1.12-3.76]), norfloxacin (tertile 3: 2.95 [1.34-6.49]), and florfenicol (tertile 3: 1.84 [1.07-3.14]) were related to WC-based central preobesity/obesity risk. Norfloxacin (tertile 3: 2.54 [1.23-5.24]) was positively associated with a slightly high/high BFP risk. Gender-stratified analysis demonstrated an increased adiposity risk in women compared with men. CONCLUSIONS: Our research provided an evidence that exposure to specific types of antibiotics (tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones) probably from the food chain contributed to obesity in elderly. Prospective cohort studies with larger sample size are warrented to explore the causation.

This study aimed to evaluate the association between aluminum (Al), arsenic (As), barium (Ba), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn), selenium (Se), strontium (Sr), thallium (Tl), and vanadium (V) levels in whole blood and the cognitive ability of people over 60 years old. A total of 1217 eligible participants were enrolled in our study in Lu'an city, Anhui province, China. The inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was used to determine the concentration of nine trace elements in the whole blood, which reflect their exposure levels. Mini-mental State Examination (MMSE) scale was employed to screen the cognitive function of the elderly. Logistic regression was applied to assess the associations of nine whole blood trace elements with cognition. In the work, it has found that high levels of whole blood As and Se are risk factors for cognitive dysfunction. As and Se quartile were correlated with increased risk of cognitive dysfunction, and with the odds ratio (OR) of 2.06 (95% CI 1.30-3.25; p-trend = 0.002), 1.947 (95% CI 1.20-3.17; p-trend = 0.007) in the highest quartile. However, high concentration of Al, V, and Ba in whole blood were protective factors for cognitive function [OR = 0.63 (95% CI 0.40-0.98; p-trend = 0.040), 0.549 (95% CI 0.36-0.85; p-trend = 0.007), 0.460 (95% CI 0.28-0.75; p-trend = 0.002) respectively]. The study suggested that the exposure of some trace elements (As, Se) were associated with the increased risk of cognitive dysfunction; on the contrary, other elements (Al, V, Ba) could be protective factor for cognitive function. These findings need to be confirmed in additional research of a large elderly population.

Extensive antibiotic exposure in the general population has been documented by bio-monitoring, but data regarding antibiotic burden across three generations in families living in the same household are lacking. We investigated the distribution of antibiotics and the potential health risk among the three generations by selecting 691 participants from 256 households in Fuyang city, China. A total of 45 antibiotics and two metabolites were screened in urine samples through liquid chromatography electrospray tandem mass spectrometry. In total, 34 antibiotics were found in the samples with an overall detection frequency of 92.0%, and the detection frequencies of individual antibiotic ranged from 0.3% to 28.7%. Specifically, the concentrations of seven antibiotics (azithromycin, amoxicillin, oxytetracycline, levofloxacin, norfloxacin, trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole) were extremely high (i.e., above 10, 000 ng/mL). The detection rates of tetracyclines were significantly different among the three generations, with parents having the highest detection rate. Penicillin V, chlortetracycline, doxycycline, enrofloxacin, and ciprofloxacin showed a higher detection frequency in parents, whereas tetracycline, danofloxacin, and ofloxacin were more likely to be found in grandparents. The proportions of the sum of the daily exposure dose of VAs and PVAs more than 1 µg/kg/d in children, parents, and grandparents were 31.6%, 39.5%, and 26.5%, respectively. A hazard index (HI) greater than 1 was observed in 14.7% children, which was less than the 23.6% in parents and slightly higher than the 11.8% in grandparents. Ciprofloxacin was the biggest contributor to HI among the three generations. Collectively, these findings indicate that households are widely exposed to various antibiotics in Fuyang city, where parents had the highest health risk associated with the disturbance of gut microbiota.

Extensive evidence has been obtained that supports an association between an attentional bias (AB) toward negative stimuli and vulnerability to mental and behavioral problems; however, diabetes self-management (DSM) behavior in type 2 diabetic patients has not specifically been assessed. The current study investigated whether type 2 diabetic Chinese patients who had different levels of self-management behaviors showed different patterns of AB toward either positive or negative stimuli. A sample of 195 patients completed questionnaires measuring DSM and a modified dot-probe task measuring AB. Patients with low levels of DSM had an avoidance bias for positive stimuli, the regression showed that negative orienting index significantly predicted lower DSM; patients with medium levels of DSM had difficulty in disengaging attention from negative stimuli, the regression showed that negative disengaging index significantly predicted lower DSM; while patients with high levels of DSM had an avoidance bias for negative stimuli and difficulty in disengaging from positive stimuli. An implication of this finding is that the understanding of information processing bias affects DSM and therefore suggests a novel target for prevention and treatment interventions.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to investigate resilience factors that helped Chinese breast cancer patients adapt to the trauma in the traditional Chinese cultural context. METHOD: Checklist-guided in-depth interviews were conducted on 15 Chinese breast cancer patients recruited from two affiliated teaching hospitals. All had adapted to the illness successfully. All interviews were guided by checklist-guided interview guidelines based on the social ecosystem theory. They were recorded digitally and transcribed verbatim. Data analysis was performed using published content analysis approach. FINDINGS: The main themes found to be relevant included hope for rehabilitation, hardiness, confidence in situation, optimistic attitude to the disease, gratitude to supporters, mastery of life. Each level of these individual resource interacted with each other, which was consistent with the micro system of social ecosystem theory. CONCLUSION: This study showed that individual resource played a significant role in helping the Chinese breast cancer patients deal with the illness. There is a clear need to develop a comprehensive evaluation system to help clinical nurses assess patients' individual resource and promote better adaption to breast cancer.

Extensive evidence has been obtained that supports an association between an attentional bias (AB) toward negative stimuli and vulnerability to stress-related psychopathology, little is known regarding the characteristics of individual AB in different posttraumatic growth (PTG) levels. The current study used a modified dot-probe task to investigate if individual differences in AB towards either positive or negative emotional stimuli, are related to self-reported PTG. A sample of 202 patients completed the experiment. Patients with low levels of PTG did not exhibit AB toward negative or positive stimuli, patients with medium levels of PTG had difficulty disengaging attention from negative stimuli, patients with high levels of PTG had difficulty disengaging attention from positive stimuli. And the AB towards positive stimuli was only predictive for PTG. An implication of this finding is that there are different characteristics of implicit cognitive processing in patients with different levels of PTG, suggesting the necessity of psychological intervention on the accidentally injured patients.

The literature on posttraumatic growth (PTG) is burgeoning, with the inconsistencies in the literature of the relationship between PTG and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms becoming a focal point of attention. Thus, this meta-analysis aims to explore the relationship between PTG and PTSD symptoms through the Pearson correlation coefficient. A systematic search of the literature from January 1996 to November 2015 was completed. We retrieved reports on 63 studies that involved 26,951 patients. The weighted correlation coefficient revealed an effect size of 0.22 with a 95% confidence interval of 0.18 to 0.25. Meta-analysis provides evidence that PTG may be positively correlated with PTSD symptoms and that this correlation may be modified by age, trauma type, and time since trauma. Accordingly, people with high levels of PTG should not be ignored, but rather, they should continue to receive help to alleviate their PTSD symptoms.

BACKGROUND: Lymphedema (LE) is recognized as a common complication after axillary lymph node dissection (ALND). Numerous studies have attempted to identify risk factors for LE. However, it is difficult to predict the probability of LE for an individual patient. The purpose of this study was to construct a scoring system for predicting the probability of LE after ALND for Chinese breast cancer patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS: 358 breast cancer patients were surveyed and followed for 12 months. LE was defined by circumferential measurement. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to screen risk factors of LE. Based on this, ß-coefficient of each risk factor was translated into a prognostic score and the scoring system was constructed. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) and calibration were calculated as an index for the predictive value of the scoring system. The model was internally validated using bootstrapping techniques. RESULTS: The incidence rate of LE was 31.84%. Variables associated with LE and their corresponding score in the scoring system were: the level of ALND (level I = 0, level II = 1, level III = 2), history of hypertension (yes = 1, no = 0), surgery on dominant arm (yes = 1, no = 0), radiotherapy (yes = 2, no = 0), and surgical infection/seroma/early edema (yes = 2, no = 0). The probability of LE was predicted according to the total risk scores. The system had good discrimination, with an AUC at 0.877. If a cut-off value of 3 was used, the sensitivity was 81.20% and the specificity was 80.90%. An individual whose total risk score was higher than 3 was recognized as being at risk for LE. On internal validation, the bootstrap-corrected predictive accuracy was 0.798. The model demonstrated excellent calibration in the development set and internal validation. CONCLUSIONS: Our scoring system could be a simple and easy tool for physicians to estimate the risk of LE.

Human embryonic stem cells (ESCs) can form neuroectoderm (NE), providing a platform for in vitro dissection of NE formation. However, human ESCs can differentiate into all three germ layers. It thus is crucial to develop efficient methods for differentiation of human ESCs into NE cells. Both plating cell density and localized cell density (LCD) affect NE differentiation. Here, we developed a cell cluster-based NE differentiation method, in which both plating cell density and LCD are under control. Using our new method, high plating cell densities promote expression of PAX6, a NE marker protein. Two SMAD signaling blockers, SB431542 and NOGGIN, downregulate OCT4 and upregulate PAX6, while does not affect mRNA expression of GATA2 after 5 d of differentiation. Moreover, IB analysis showed a time-dependent upregulation of PAX6 and beta-III-tubulin together with a downregulation of OCT4 during the neural differentiation. Coexpression of both TH and beta-III-tubulin in the H9-derived cells was also detected, proving the NE cells have an ability to differentiate into one of the specific neurons. Together, we established a simple method for generating NE cells from H9 cells, which might contribute to develop high efficient method for neural differentiation.
