RESUMEN

Fabricating battery-type electrode materials with large specific surface area and mesopores is an efficient method for enhancing the electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. This method may provide more active sites for Faradic reactions and shorten the ion-diffusion paths. In this study, the CoNi layered double hydroxides (LDHs) with the morphology of nanoflowers and nanoflakes were prepared in solutions with pH values of 7.5 (CoNi LDH-7.5) and 8.5 (CoNi LDH-8.5) via a simple sonochemical approach. These CoNi LDHs possessed large specific surface areas and favourable electrochemical properties. The CoNi LDH-7.5 delivered a specific capacity of 740.8C/g at a current density of 1 A/g, surpassing CoNi LDH-8.5 with 668.1C/g. The hybrid supercapacitor (HSC) was assembled with activated carbon as the anode and CoNi LDH as the cathode to assess its practical application potential in the field of electrochemical energy storage. The CoNi LDH-7.5//AC HSC achieved the highest energy density of 35.6 W h kg-1 at a power density of 781.1 W kg-1. In addition, both HSCs exhibited little capacity decay over 5,000 cycles at a high current load of 8 A/g. These electrochemical properties of CoNi LDHs make them promising candidates for battery-type electrode materials. The current sonochemical method is simple and can be applied to the preparation of other LDHs-based electrode materials with favourable electrochemical performance.

RESUMEN

A gem-dinitromethyl group was successfully introduced into the TNBI·2H2O structure (TNBI: 4,4',5,5'-tetranitro-2,2'-bi-1H-imidazole) to obtain 1-(dinitromethyl)-4,4',5,5'-tetranitro-1H,1'H-2,2'-biimidazole (DNM-TNBI). Benefiting from the transformation of an N-H proton into a gem-dinitromethyl group, the current limitations of TNBI were well solved. More importantly, DNM-TNBI has high density (1.92 g·cm-3, 298 K), good oxygen balance (15.3%), and excellent detonation properties (Dv = 9102 m·s-1, P = 37.6 GPa), suggesting that it has great potential as an oxidizer or a high-performance energetic material.

RESUMEN

3D printed metal crowns can be used for dental restorations. The main quality control challenge of these dental metal is the method of quality inspection. Electronic quality is a process by which the quality of the process and the parts produced can be checked online, thereby improving the process and reducing the time it takes for the entire process. Here, we propose a combination of 3D scanning and 3D measurement for 3D inspection of metal crowns. The data extracted from the 3D printed metal crowns were used as case studies to prove the proposed methodology. The obtained results confirm that the new method has very high classification accuracy compared with the traditional inspection methods, and thus yields excellent results. Moreover, the proposed approach is capable to archive 3D models of the parts and achieve rapid quality control. This paper forms the basis for solving many other similar problems that occur in 3D printing related industries.
