RESUMEN

In the paper there are presented the basic principles of the organization of activities for the assurance ofthe sanitary- epidemiological welfare in the period ofpreparation and hosting of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in the Resort City of Sochi. There are considered features of the organization ofepidemiological surveillance in the pre-Olympic period, the period of the games and the state of the morbidity rate in the region after the Olympics. There are presented data on certain directions of the work of organs and institutions of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare on the disease control of the event.

RESUMEN

The article presents data on the implementation of a set of preventive activities to ensure sanitation and epidemiological welfare during the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi. The importance of monitoring and evaluation of epidemiological risk, as the basis of formation of preventive measures is noticed. The questions of specific, and nonspecific prevention of infectious diseases, especially the work done during the pre-Olympic period are considered. The importance of specifically developed regulatory basis, and health education are emphasized. The conclusion about the effectiveness of the measures taken, which led to a significant reduction of infectious diseases in the region is made.

RESUMEN

The paper generalizes the experience of formation of protection system against biological threats and ensuring sanitary and epidemiological welfare during preparation for the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi. The basic steps for creating this system, since 2007, participation and role of Rospotrebnadzor in this process are shown. The paper deals with such questions as the governmental and administrative structures with federal agencies interaction, development of a regulatory framework governing the safety system of the Olympic Games, development of algorithms of information exchange and management decisions, biological safety in developing infrastructure in Sochi.

RESUMEN

To assess the epidemiological risk of introduction of serious infectious diseases in the pre-Olympic period defined list of dangerous and exotic infections and held assessment of potential danger threatening. Initial external information to assess the potential risk of skidding were reports, forecasts, posted on the official websites. The risk of skidding and epidemiological complications conditionally designated as high, moderate and minimal risk importation of measles virus-Rate was considered as high. In confirmation of the forecast for the period of the Olympic Games in Sochi have been registered about 100 cases of measles. Moderate risk of importation was determined for poliomyelitis due to wild poliovirus, Lassa fever, cholera, plague, and the minimal--for Dengue fever, yellow fever, the Middle East and respiratory syndrome, diseases caused by viruses Marburg and Ebola. Based on of analysis of previous Olympic Games and subsequent co-events related to the activity of the infectious diseases in the world, mate-cluded that even a slight risk of importation of infectious diseases requires maximum alertness and readiness to conduct adequate epidemiological issues incorporated.

RESUMEN

AIM: Development of a cadaster of stationary unfavorable by anthrax points in Krasnodar region by using GIS technologies. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Ageographical information system (GIS) of ESRI program--Arc GIS 10.1 was used for the composition of an electronic cadaster of stationary unfavorable by anthrax points. Topographic basis--electronic maps of Krasnodar region (M 1:200 000). RESULTS: An evaluation of safety by anthrax of Krasnodar region areas bythe amount of stationary unfavorable by anthrax points situated in its territories, by their activity during the 76 year observation period was given. Spatial adjoint analysis of ecological timing of stationary unfavorable by anthrax points to soil and landscape zones in Krasnodar region was carried out. CONCLUSION: Electronic cadaster of stationary unfavorable by anthrax points in Krasnodar region may serve as a basis for purposeful implementation of prophylaxis measures.

RESUMEN

Problems of the perspective of geoinformational systems (GIS) use for improvement of epidemiologic control of infectious diseases including during mass events are examined. A scheme of creation of the decision making support system (DMSS) is proposed, the system is based on GIS, has general primary data and analytical-prognostic tool base including subsystems: real-time primary information intake, information analysis, epizootic and epidemic activity prognosis on the certain territories and the federal level. Specialized personnel training, creation of infrastructure for DMSS functioning in primary Federal Service of Surveillance for Protection of Consumers Rights and Human Welfare units are designated as priority tasks.

RESUMEN

Data from literature and results of epizootological examination of the territory of Republic of Abkhazia in 2011 and 2012 that confirm the presence in the republic of natural foci of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, West Nile fever, Crimean hemorrhagic fever, tick-borne encephalitis, Q fever, tahyna, inkoo, bhanja, sindbis fever, anaplasmosis, tick-borne borreliosis, tularemia and leptospirosis are presented. Rabies and anthrax are actual for Abkhazia. Spread of Aedes aegypti mosquitos in the republic may become a threat to the epidemiological welfare of the region in case of introduction of dangerous arbovirus infections.

RESUMEN

Experiments were carried out to determine the persistence of a plague microbe with varying praline labeling (isolated in the Central Caucasian mountain focus of plague in the fleas Citellophilus tesquorum of a mountain subspecies) in the contamination of the mixed culture of the plague microbe and Listeria. Inoculation of fleas with a suspension of a plague microbe and Listeriae demonstrates the manifest signs of antagonism between both species of microorganisms. This is evidenced by the reductions in the time of cultivation and in the number ofthese bacterial species in the experimental group fleas co-infected with Yersinia pestis and Listeria monocytogenes as compared with the control fleas (infected with monocultures of the causative agents of plague and listeriosis). Inhibition of one bacterial population by another is pronounced temperature-dependent: + 4 degrees C is preferable for a proline-auxotrophic plague agent strain and environmental temperature elevation up to 18-20 degrees C ensures the preponderance of Listeria in C. tesquorum. Co-infection of fleas with plague bacteria and Listeria (which cannot be excluded in co-infections in mountain sousliks under natural conditions) may predict the suppressed vector activity of fleas and hence the limited circulation of the causative agent of plague by the rodent-flea-rodent scheme in the Central Caucasian mountain natural focus at an environmental temperature of + 18-20 degrees C.

RESUMEN

The emergency situation caused by inundations and high floods on the rivers in the affected regions exerts no direct influence on brucellosis morbidity among humans. Still the urgent evacuation of agricultural animals in connection with the natural calamity, their displacement and regrouping give grounds to prognosticate the deterioration of the epizootic situation in this infection in a number of regions of the territory where no sufficient veterinary surveillance has been ensured.

RESUMEN

Brucella pathogens are highly susceptible in vitro to pefloxacin, lomefloxacin, meropenem and azithromycin. High efficacy of these drugs was demonstrated for experimental brucellosis treatment, azithromycin being the most active. Meropenem and azithromycin implementation resulted in more rapid and full normalization of the bactericidial and energy systems of the experimental animals peripheral blood cells.
