RESUMEN

We studied the content of neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in 69 paired samples of blood serum and seminal plasma from men with azoospermia (n=11) and oligoastenozoospermia (n=10) and from men with fertile ejaculate (n=48). NSE concentration was determined by ELISA (Vector-Best kit). The median concentration and the interquartile range of the NSE content in seminal plasma were 65.7 (47.9; 83.4) ng/ml and 24.33 times (р<0.000001) exceeded those for blood serum 2.7 (1.45; 4.0) ng/ml. There were no differences in the content of NSE between the groups for both seminal plasma and blood serum. The content of NSE in seminal plasma did not correlate with the content of NSE in blood serum, and also did not depend on the content of spermatozoa. A weak negative correlation (r=-0.341; p=0.0057) was found between the age of the examinees and the level of NSE in seminal plasma, but not in blood serum.

RESUMEN

Modern methods of diagnosis of chronic viral hepatitis used in the practice of the military-medical examination. The article presents current views on the classification of chronic viral hepatitis. The characteristic of methodical diagnostic approaches is presented: The attention to the etiological pathology verification is paid. The results of study on clinical characteristics of patients with chronic viral hepatitis are used as the basis for the developed criteria for evaluating fitness for military service.

RESUMEN

The authors showed that at the present time military much more servicemen, suffering from obstructive pulmonary disease, may receive medical examination in outpatient conditions. Series of researches allow us to perform a medical examination on an outpatient basis. The calculation of the cost-effectiveness of health services to such patients during a military medical examination in the hospital and clinics was made. Savings during the examination in the clinic for 1 patient was 2829 rubbles.

RESUMEN

Introduction of the multilevel system of medical care to the patient with stroke in the Tatarstan Republic for 2008-2012 and formation of vascular centers are analyzed. There is a positive trend in some indices (stroke morbidity, treatment efficacy, fatality, number of functionally independent patients etc).

RESUMEN

The typical changes of hemostasis indicators in different periods of gestation are described. The analysis of blood plasma in pregnant women with menace of miscarriage and compromised anamnestic record on spontaneous or attempted abortion was made. The valid hypercoagulation deviations are detected. They are manifested in the decrease of international normalized ratio indicators and index of activated partial thromboplastin time, the increase of level of soluble fibrin-monomeric complex against the background of mild hyperfibrinogenemia and decrease of activity of plasminogen, antihtrombin III and protein C. The lupousus anticoagulant and Leiden mutation occurred more often. The evidence of changes differed depending of presence of complications in the anamnesis and current menace of miscarriage. The established thrombofilic shifts can play certain pathogenic role in development of noncarrying of pregnancy.

RESUMEN

The article deals with efficiency of the course of O2-Xe inhalation for correction of the functional state of deck aviation pilots in a long march. The course was shown to stabilize vagosympathetic balance in organism, to compensate functioning and to retain reserve of the cardiovascular system that resulted in significant psychoemotional animation attested by self-appreciation, amelioration and cheerfulness, and weakening of reactive anxiety. These observations point to applicability of xenon-based gas mixtures to correction of the pilot's functional state in the most intensive periods of service. Guidelines for broad adoption of the method by military medicine have been developed.

RESUMEN

The efficiency of applying precision devices and multiple laboratory methods devised to reveal the causes of bleeding and thromboses significantly depends on whether a wide range of rules of the preanalytical stage of the study is observed. The paper gives detailed information on conditions for taking blood samples, their transport, and preparation for examination of the hemostatic system. The given information is based on the worldwide recommendations and many years' experience gained by the authors at the laboratory of hemostasis.

RESUMEN

Statistical analysis has established the importance and adequacy of determination of the levels of circulating immune complexes, leukocytes, and HLA-DR+ lymphocytes for the prediction of the outcome of treatment for surgical sepsis. A model of prognostically best clinical outcome of the disease was used to calculate the ranges of values of immunological parameters in which it is expedient to use immunovenin, imunofan, inferon, roncoleukin, and ceruloplasmin in order to have an optimal clinical effect; moreover, there was a 76% agreement of the actual results of treatment with calculated ones.

RESUMEN

The investigation determined whether there was a relationship of thyroid diseases with the geology of the place of residence and its associated spectrum of trace elements (iron, chromium, selenium, manganese, cobalt, copper, nickel, arsenic, and zinc). The geologo-geomorphological factors of the habitat, such as geological formations (mineral composition, structure, the degree of rock metamorphism), tectonics, the history of geological development, relief, paleorelief, were found to be of considerable importance in the formation of the human trace element status. Both deficiency and excess of trace elements was shown to be of pathogenetic value in the development of thyroid diseases. Residence in the area wherein carbonate rocks are predominant contributes to an increase in incidence of thyroid diseases.

RESUMEN

We studied the functional and metabolic changes of erythrocytes in systemic vasculitis (SV). The below was detected: an increasing intensity of blood chemiluminescence, a higher concentration of TBA-positive substances in erythrocyte membranes, inhibited Na+, K+ - and Ca2+ -activated and Mg2+ -related ATPases in erythrocytes and a reduced osmotic and acidic resistance of erythrocytes. An enhanced aggregation ability of erythrocytes and their inhibited desagregation were observed in hemorrhagic vasculitis an especially in microscopic polyangiitis. The revealed changes characterize the significance of the erythrocyte pathology in thrombosis and development of hemorrhagic disorders in SV patients.

RESUMEN

Data on the impact exerted by industrial products, i.e. pyromellitic dianhydride, on the acidic and osmotic resistance of erythrocytes in workers are described. The influence of hazardous factors of the oil-and-chemical production was found to result in a changing erythrocytes' resistance (of workers) to the osmotic and acidic hemolytics with regard for a labor record and duration of contact with toxicants. The shifts in acidic and osmotic resistance can serve as an early marker of changes in the functional erythron's status in workers occupied under hazardous industrial factors.
