RESUMEN
Only spot bronchography, and if its results are negative, transthoracal puncture permit a correct diagnosis of blocked or partially blocked pulmonary abscess in 2/3 of cases. This result is of importance for the choice of the treatment strategy in such patients. Use of thin or super-thin needles for puncture helped to do without serious complications and obtain reliable diagnostic information in 90% of cases.

The paper is concerned with clinical and x-ray analysis, performed in 10 patients (9 women and 1 man) aged 40 to 50, with meningocele, a congenital abnormality. The final diagnosis of this disease was made possible only by means of transthoracic needle biopsy of cerebrospinal fluid, which was effectively performed in 5 patients.

Basing on roentgeno-morphological correlations, three morphological types of pulmonary sequestration (PS) were singled out: intrapulmonary, intrapleural (peripulmonary) and extrapleural (mediastinal). PS signs on a skiagram can be of two types: spherical and cavitary. Reliable clinicoroentgenological diagnosis of PS is hardly possible and of hypothetical nature. Transthoracic puncture is the most effective and common diagnostic method.

Possible errors and complications are analyzed basing on the experience with microsurgical autotransplantation of 87 tissue complexes fulfilled in 81 patients with traumas. Various complications were established in 25 out of 82 patients (30.4%). Acute disturbance of the transplant blood circulation was noted in 17.2%. Reoperations on the vessels reduced the incidence of failures to 8% of all the transplanted complexes of tissues.
