INTRODUCTION: The histological transformation (HT) of follicular lymphoma (FL) is a crucial biological event. The study aimed to evaluate the incidence, clinicial characteristics, prognosis and impact of HT time on survival of FL transforming to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in population-based large-scale cohorts. METHODS: A retrospective cohort study of FL with HT was performed in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database. The Hematological Malignancy Research Network FL cohort and Aristotle study FL cohort were used to assess the external validity. RESULTS: Among 44,127 FL cases from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database, 1311 cases were pathology-proven recorded to transform to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The cumulative rates of HT at 5, 10, and 15 years after FL diagnosis were estimated to be 1.19%, 2.93%, and 5.01%, respectively. Significantly worse overall survival and cancer-specific survival were exhibited in patients with HT than those without HT. Early HT (transformation of FL within 48 months after FL diagnosis [TOD48]) was an independent predictor for adverse overall survival of HT patients, regardless of treatment modalities before transformation. The adverse prognostic effect of TOD48 was validated in the Hematological Malignancy Research Network cohort and Aristotle study cohort. Older age (>75 years) and B symptoms within FL at diagnosis were the independent risk factors of TOD48. Furthermore, a novel prognostic model combining TOD48 with Follicular Lymphoma International Prognostic Index (TOD48-FLIPI) was constructed and validated for risk stratification. CONCLUSION: TOD48 was a risk indicator of HT, and the novel prognostic model "TOD48-FLIPI" for HT patients was proposed.

Incontinentia pigmenti (IP) is a rare X-linked dominant neuroectodermal dysplasia that primarily affects females. The only known causative gene is IKBKG, and the most common genetic cause is the recurrent IKBKG△4-10 deletion resulting from recombination between two MER67B repeats. Detection of variants in IKBKG is challenging due to the presence of a highly homologous non-pathogenic pseudogene IKBKGP1. In this study, we successfully identified four pathogenic variants in four IP patients using a strategy based on single-tube long fragment read (stLFR) sequencing with a specialized analysis pipeline. Three frameshift variants (c.519-3_519dupCAGG, c.1167dupC, and c.700dupT) were identified and subsequently validated by Sanger sequencing. Notably, c.519-3_519dupCAGG was found in both IKBKG and IKBKGP1, whereas the other two variants were only detected in the functional gene. The IKBKG△4-10 deletion was identified and confirmed in one patient. These results demonstrate that the proposed strategy can identify potential pathogenic variants and distinguish whether they are derived from IKBKG or its pseudogene. Thus, this strategy can be an efficient genetic testing method for IKBKG. By providing a comprehensive understanding of the whole genome, it may also enable the exploration of other genes potentially associated with IP. Furthermore, the strategy may also provide insights into other diseases with detection challenges due to pseudogenes.

This study aims to optimize the composite excipients suitable for the preparation of concentrated water pills of personalized traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions by the extruding-rounding method and investigate the roles of each excipient in the preparation process. The fiber materials and powder materials were taken as the standard materials suitable as excipients in the preparation of personalized concentrated water pills without excipient. Water absorption properties and torque rheology were used as indicators for selecting the materials of composite excipients. The ratio of composite excipients was optimized by D-optimal mixture design. Moreover, to demonstrate the universal applicability of the optimal composite excipients, this study selected three traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions with low, medium, and high extraction rates to verify the optimal ratio. Finally, the effects of each selected excipient on the molding of personalized concentrated water pills were investigated with the four parameters of the pill molding quality as indicators. The optimized composite excipients were dextrin∶microcrystalline cellulose(MCC)∶low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose(L-HPC) at a ratio of 1∶2∶4. The composite excipients were used for the preparation of personalized concentrated water pills with stable process, good quality, and a wide range of application. Dextrin acted as a diluent and accelerated the speed of extruding. MCC mainly served as an adhesive, increasing the cohesion and viscosity of the pills. L-HPC as a water absorbent and disintegrating agent can absorb and hold the water of the concentrate and has a strong disintegration effect.

In recent years, as people's living standards continue to improve, and the pace of life accelerates dramatically, the demand and quality of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) services from patients continue to rise. As an essential supplement to the existing forms of TCM application, such as Chinese patent medicine, decoction, and formulated granules, presonalized TCM preparations is facing an increasing market demand. Currently, manual and semi-mechanized production are the primary production ways in presonalized TCM preparations. However, the production process control level is low, and digitalization and informatization need to be improved, which restricts the automated and intelligent development of presonalized TCM preparations. Presonalized TCM preparations faces a significant opportunity and challenge in integrating with intelligent manufacturing through research and development of intelligent equipment and core technology. This paper overviews the connotation and characteristics of intelligent manufacturing and summarizes the application of intelligent manufacturing technologies such as "Internet of things" "big data", and "artificial intelligence" in the TCM industry. Based on the innovative research and development model of "intelligent classification of TCM materials, intelligent decision making of prescription and process, and online control and intelligent production" of presonalized TCM preparations, the research practice and achievements from our research group in the field of intelligent manufacturing of presonalized TCM preparations are introduced. Ultimately, the paper proposes the direction for developing intelligent manufacturing of presonalized TCM preparations, which will provide a reference for the research and application of automation and intelligence of presonalized TCM preparations.

In the process of preparing presonalized concentrated watered pills, the decoction needs to be concentrated by heat and mixed with medicinal slices or powder to prepare a wet mass. However, some of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) components are easily decomposed or transformed by heat. In order to optimize the preparation process of presonalized TCM concentrated watered pills and reduce the loss of heat-unstable components in prescriptions, this study uses five compound TCM prescriptions containing heat-unstable components as model prescriptions, namely the Linggui Zhugan Formula, Xiaochengqi Formula, Sanpian Formula, Xiaoer Qixing Formula, and Xiaoyao Formula. Based on the two kinds of preparation process of presonalized concentrated watered pills previously established by our research group, whole extract concentrated watered pills and concentrated watered pills without excipients are prepared, respectively. Characteristic maps are measured and compared with those of the corresponding decoction. The results show that the characteristic maps of the concentrated watered pills without excipients of the five model prescriptions are very close to those of the decoction, and the number of characteristic peaks and peak areas are higher than those of whole extract concentrated watered pills. In addition, the peak area of some peaks is higher than that of the corresponding decoction. Thus, it is recommended to select the preparation process of prescription-based concentrated watered pills without excipients based on the "unification of medicines and excipients" to preserve those heat-unstable components more effectively when the prescription contains a heat-unstable component of TCM. This study provides a basis for the subsequent reasonable development and application of presonalized TCM pills.

BACKGROUND: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is an important health concern in the society. Previous studies have suggested that necroptosis occurs following TBI. However, the underlying mechanisms and roles of necroptosis are not well understood. In this study, we aimed to assess the role of receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 3 (RIP3)-mediated necroptosis after TBI both in vitro and in vivo. METHODS: We established a cell-stretching injury and mouse TBI model by applying a cell injury controller and controlled cortical impactor to evaluate the relationships among necroptosis, apotosis, inflammation, and TBI both in vitro and in vivo. RESULTS: The results revealed that necroptosis mediated by RIP1, RIP3, and mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein was involved in secondary TBI. Additionally, protein kinase B (Akt), phosphorylated Akt, mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), and phosphorylated mTOR potentially contribute to necroptosis. The inhibition of RIP3 by GSK'872 (a specific inhibitor) blocked necroptosis and reduced the activity of Akt/mTOR, leading to the alleviation of inflammation by reducing the levels of NOD-, LRR- and pyrin domain-containing protein 3. Moreover, the inhibition of RIP3 by GSK'872 promoted the activity of cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-8, an enzyme involved in apoptosis and inflammation. CONCLUSIONS: These data demonstrate that RIP3 inhibition could improve the prognosis of TBI, based on the attenuation of inflammation by switching RIP3-dependent necroptosis to cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-8-dependent apoptosis.

Melanocyte differentiation is orchestrated by the master regulator transcription factor MITF. However, its ability to discern distinct binding sites linked to effective gene regulation remains poorly understood. This study aims to assess how co-activator acetyltransferase interacts with MITF to modulate their related lysine action, thereby mediating downstream gene regulation, including DNA affinity, stability, transcriptional activity, particularly in the process of shell pigmentation. Here, we have demonstrated that the CgMITF protein can be acetylated, further enabling selective amplification of the melanocyte maturation program. Collaboration with transcriptional co-regulator p300 advances MITF dynamically interplay with downstream targeted gene promoters. We have established that MITF activation was partially dependent on the bHLH domain, which was well conserved across species. The bHLH domain contained conserved lysine residues, including K6 and K43, which interacted with the E-box motif of downstream targeted-genes. Mutations at K6 and K43 lead to a decrease in the binding affinity of the E-box motif. CgMITF protein bound to the E-box motif within the promoter regions of the tyrosinase-related genes, contributing to melanogenesis, and also interacted with the E-box motif within the TBX2 promoter regions, associated with melanocyte proliferation. We elucidated how the bHLH domain links the transcriptional regulation and acetylation modifications in the melanocyte development in C. gigas.

Marine bivalves are economically important and exhibit a remarkable diversity in shell color. The Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas stands out as an important economic species, with the successful development of four distinct color strains through selective breeding. While previous studies have shed light on the genetic mechanism underlying color segregation, the precise molecular regulatory mechanisms responsible for shell coloration in oysters remains elusive. In this study, we confirmed that the golden phenotype is primarily attributed to pheomelanin by histological and ultrastructural observations. Additionally, we conducted a comparative transcriptome analysis of the black and golden shell color oysters to explore the potential genes and pathways contributing to the golden phenotype in C. gigas. Our results revealed a significant increase in differentially expressed genes in the golden phenotype associated with pathways such as glutathione metabolism, and calcium signaling pathway, suggesting a potential role in the synthesis of pheomelanin. Of particular note, we highlighted the potential role of two-pore channel 2 (TPC2) in modulating tyrosinase activity and melanosomal pH, ultimately determining the shade of pigmentation. Our study in this work provided a preliminary exploration of the mechanism, shedding light on the melanosome microenvironment and shell color.

Montmorillonite (MMT) is known as an ion-exchangeable material, and cations between MMT nanosheets are easily exchanged by other cations. In this work, Ca2+, Fe3+, and Al3+ intercalated two-dimensional MMT membranes were developed by ion exchange of pristine MMT membranes (Na+-MMT), and their ion and dye removal abilities were investigated. The d-spacings of hydrated Fe3+ intercalated MMT membrane (Fe3+-MMT) and Al3+ intercalated MMT membrane (Al3+-MMT) were decreased compared with hydrated Na+-MMT membrane due to the stronger electrostatic attraction between Fe3+/Al3+ and negatively charged MMT nanosheets. Ion and dye sieving performances were improved significantly after the intercalation of Ca2+, Fe3+, and Al3+ into MMT membranes. Al3+-MMT membrane with a thickness of 1.17 µm could exclude 94% of Na+, and its ion sieving performance remained stable during a 120-h ion sieving experiment. Moreover, the rejection rate for rhodamine B (RB) reached 94% using an Al3+-MMT membrane with a thickness of 500 nm, and a water permeance of 73 L m-2 h-1 bar-1 was achieved. The excellent ion and dye sieving performances make it promising in the application of desalination and nanofiltration.

OBJECTIVE: To interpret the key contents of the guidance of Personalized Medical Device Regulatory Pathways issued by the IMDRF, and provide reference for the improvement of China's medical device regulatory system. METHODS: The regulatory requirements of personalized medical devices and point-of-care manufacture of medical device were described respectively, and the feasibility of implementing the regulation of point-of-care manufacture of medical device in China was analyzed. RESULTS: The different regulatory pathways of medical devices produced at point-of-care are feasible and have different regulatory risks. CONCLUSIONS: In combination with the recommendations provided by the IMDRF guidance and the clinical and regulatory realities in China, we should accelerate the improvement of the regulations and supporting documents for point-of-care manufacture of medical device in China.

One new lycopodine-type alkaloid (1), one new natural product (2), and eight known analogs (3-10) were isolated from the whole plants of Lycopodium japonicum Thunb. The structures of 1-10 were determined based on extensive comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, including UV, IR, NMR, and HRESIMS. Moreover, the isolated alkaloids were evaluated for their neuroprotective activity against Hemin-induced HT22 cell damage. Notably, compounds 1 and 10 exhibited potential neuroprotective activities, with 21.45% and 20.55% increase in cell survival at 20 µM, respectively. Moreover, compounds 1 and 10 revealed protective effects on Hemin-induced apoptosis in HT22 cells.

Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a serious diabetic complication and the performance of serum Klotho in DKD's prognostic evaluation is controversial. Objective: To assess the association of serum Klotho with adverse kidney and non-kidney clinical outcomes in patients with DKD. Design: Clinical studies regarding the relationship of serum Klotho with DKD were included. Study quality was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa scale. Subgroup and sensitive analyses were performed to search for the source of heterogeneity. Data sources and methods: We comprehensively searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane library databases up to 27 September 2022. The associations of Klotho with albuminuria, such as the urinary albumin creatinine ratio (UACR), kidney outcomes such as persistent albuminuria, estimated glomerular filtration rate decline, and non-kidney outcomes such as diabetic retinopathy, cardiovascular morbidity, and mortality, were evaluated. The indicators, such as the correlation coefficient (r), odds ratio (OR), relative risk, and hazard ratio, were retrieved or calculated from the eligible studies. Results: In all, 17 studies involving 5682 participants fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were included in this meta-analysis. There was no significant association of serum Klotho with UACR in DKD patients [summary r, -0.28 (-0.55, 0.04)] with high heterogeneity. By contrast, a strong association was observed regarding serum Klotho with kidney outcomes [pooled OR, 1.60 (1.15, 2.23)], non-kidney outcomes [pooled OR, 2.78 (2.11, 3.66)], or combined kidney and non-kidney outcomes [pooled OR, 1.96 (1.45, 2.65)] with moderate heterogeneity. Subgroup analysis indicated that age, study design, and the estimated glomerular filtration rate may be the sources of heterogeneity. Conclusion: A decreased serum Klotho level is possibly associated with an increased risk of developing kidney and non-kidney clinical outcomes in DKD patients; thus, Klotho may be a possible biomarker to predict DKD clinical outcomes. Additional studies are needed to clarify and validate Klotho's prognostic value.

A rare subtype of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) has been reported to be accompanied by elevated immunoglobulin M (IgM) paraprotein in the serum at diagnosis, called as IgMs-DLBCL. The monoclonal IgM paraprotein disappears soon after treatment in most of these patients. Here, we described a DLBCL patient with continuously elevated IgM following therapy. A 59-year-old male was diagnosed with DLBCL (GCB subtype per Hans algorithm, stage IA) with involvement of the right cervical lymph node. After six cycles of immuno-chemotherapy with the R-CHOP regimen, complete metabolic remission was achieved, but an elevated level of serum IgM persisted. To investigate the origin of elevated IgM, pathologic, immunophenotypic, and molecular analyses of lymph node and bone marrow (BM) samples were performed pre- and post-treatment. BM infiltration of lymphoplasmacytic cells, and a typical immunophenotypic profile by flow cytometry supported the diagnosis of Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM). The MCD subtype of DLBCL was identified by next-generation sequencing of the lymph node at initial diagnosis characterized by co-occurring point mutations in MYD88 L265P and CD79B. Additionally, two different dominant clonotypes of the immunoglobulin heavy chain (IGH) were detected in the lymph node and BM by IGH sequencing, which was IGHV 3-11*06/IGHJ 3*02 and IGHV 3-11*06/IGHJ 6*02, respectively, speculating to be two independent clonal origins. This study will provide a panoramic understanding of the origin or biological characteristics of DLBCL co-occurring with WM.

AIM: To investigate the research trend on refractive cataract surgery, compare the contributions of different countries, institutions, journals, and authors in the past 20y, and explore its potential research hotspots. METHODS: All publications were extracted relating to refractive cataract surgery from 2003 to 2022 from Web of Science. Document types were limited to original articles and reviews, and the language was limited to English. Quantitatively and qualitatively of the publications were analyzed through Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism. VOSviewer and CiteSpace were used for bibliometric and visualized analysis. RESULTS: A total of 2090 publications were enrolled. The United States contributed the most publications (434, 20.8%), followed by China (345, 16.5%) and England (163, 7.80%). Publications from the United States were cited more frequently (9552 citations) with the highest H-index of 48. China ranked second in the total number of publications, the papers were not cited that frequently (3237 citations), and the H-index ranked sixth (H-index=29). Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery published the most papers (333, 15.9%), and the University of London had the highest number of publications (75, 3.59%). Dick HB from Germany published the most papers. Corneal astigmatism-related research, cataract surgery method-related research, postoperative visual-quality relate to research, and postoperative complications-relate research are the hotspots in this field. The most significant limitation was that the database was updated frequently and the latest publications were not included. CONCLUSION: The bibliometric analysis shows a brief summarization of the contribution of the authors, institutions, countries, and journals. Corneal astigmatism, cataract surgery method, postoperative visual-quality and postoperative complications related researches have become the emerging hotspots, which can give a direction in the future researches.

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic and progressive disease with limited therapy. Renshen Pingfei Formula (RPFF), a classic Chinese medicine derivative formula, has been shown to exert therapeutic effects on IPF. AIM OF THE STUDY: The study aimed to explore the anti-pulmonary fibrosis mechanism of RPFF through network pharmacology, clinical plasma metabolomics, and in vitro experiment. METHODS: Network pharmacology was used to study the holistic pharmacological mechanism of RPFF in the treatment of IPF. The differential plasma metabolites for RPFF in the treatment of IPF were identified by untargeted metabolomics analysis. By integrated analysis of metabolomics and network pharmacology, the therapeutic target of RPFF for IPF and the corresponding herbal ingredients were identified. In addition, the effects of the main components of the formula, kaempferol and luteolin, which regulate the adenosine monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPAR-γ) pathway were observed in vitro according to the orthogonal design. RESULTS: A total of 92 potential targets for RPFF in the treatment of IPF were obtained. The Drug-Ingredients-Disease Target network showed that PTGS2, ESR1, SCN5A, PPAR-γ, and PRSS1 were associated with more herbal ingredients. The protein-protein interaction (PPI) network identified the key targets of RPFF in IPF treatment, including IL6, VEGFA, PTGS2, PPAR-γ, and STAT3. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis acquired the main enriched pathways, and PPAR-γ involved in multiple signaling pathways, including the AMPK signaling pathway. Untargeted clinical metabolomics analysis revealed plasma metabolite variations in patients with IPF versus controls and before versus after RPFF treatment for patients with IPF. Six differential metabolites were explored as differential plasma metabolites for RPFF in IPF treatment. Combined with network pharmacology, a therapeutic target PPAR-γ of RPFF in IPF treatment and the corresponding herbal components were identified. Based on the orthogonal experimental design, the experiments showed that kaempferol and luteolin can decrease the mRNA and protein expression of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), and the combination of lower dose can inhibit α-SMA mRNA and protein expression by promoting the AMPK/PPAR-γ pathway in transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-ß1)-treated MRC-5 cells. CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed that the therapeutic effects of RPFF are due to multiple ingredients and have multiple targets and pathways, and PPAR-γ is one of therapeutic targets for RPPF in IPF and involved in the AMPK signaling pathway. Two ingredients of RPFF, kaempferol and luteolin, can inhibit fibroblast proliferation and the myofibroblast differentiation of TGF-ß1, and exert a synergistic effect through AMPK/PPAR-γ pathway activation.

There are significant differences in the susceptibility of populations to intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R), but the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we show that mice exhibit significant differences in susceptibility to I/R-induced enterogenic sepsis. Notably, the milnacipran (MC) content in the enterogenic-sepsis-tolerant mice is significantly higher. We also reveal that the pre-operative fecal MC content in cardiopulmonary bypass patients, including those with intestinal I/R injury, is associated with susceptibility to post-operative gastrointestinal injury. We reveal that MC attenuates mouse I/R injury in wild-type mice but not in intestinal epithelial aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) gene conditional knockout mice (AHRflox/flox) or IL-22 gene deletion mice (IL-22-/-). Collectively, our results suggest that gut microbiota affects susceptibility to I/R-induced enterogenic sepsis and that gut microbiota-derived MC plays a pivotal role in tolerance to intestinal I/R in an AHR/ILC3/IL-22 signaling-dependent manner, revealing the pathological mechanism, potential prevention and treatment drugs, and treatment strategies for intestinal I/R.

Background: This study aimed to explore the prevalence of elder neglect (EN) and its associated factors among community-based Chinese older adults. Methods: We used data from the 2018 phase of a nationwide cross-sectional study, the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS), which recruited 15,854 older adults to complete the study interviews that incorporated six dimensions of EN, namely, life neglect, social isolation, medical neglect, poor living situation, family neglect, and social neglect. Multivariate logistic regression was used to explore factors associated with EN. Results: We included demographic factors, chronic diseases, cognitive function, and daily activity function in our comprehensive analysis and showed that they had different effects on the six EN dimensions. Different demographic factors such as gender, age, marriage, education, occupation, residence, and household income were included in the comprehensive analysis, and the results showed that these factors had different effects on the six dimensions of EN. Next, we found that older adults with chronic diseases are prone to life neglect, medical neglect, and residential environment neglect. Older adults with better cognitive abilities were less likely to be neglected, and a decline in daily activity capacity has been linked to EN in older adults. Conclusion: Future studies are needed to identify the health effects of these associated factors, develop prevention strategies for EN, and improve the quality of life of older adults living in communities.

The Skutterudites CoSb3 material has been the focus of research for the conversion applications of waste heat to electricity due to its ability to accommodate a large variety of ions in the cages that have been proven effective in improving the thermoelectric performance. Although the co-doped CoSb3 bulk materials have attracted increasing attention and have been widely studied, co-doped CoSb3 thin films have been rarely reported. In this work, Ag and Ti were co-doped into CoSb3 thin films via a facile in situ growth method, and the influence of doping content in the thermoelectric properties was investigated. The results show that all the Ag and Ti co-doped CoSb3 thin films contain a pure well-crystallized CoSb3 phase. Compared to the un-doped thin film, the co-doped samples show simultaneous increase in the Seebeck coefficient and the electrical conductivity, leading to a distinctly enhanced power factor. The high power factor value can reach ~0.31 mWm-1K-2 at 623 K after appropriate co-doping, which is two times the value of the un-doped thin film we have been obtained. All the results show that the co-doping is efficient in optimizing the performance of the CoSb3 thin films; the key point is to control the doping element content so as to obtain high thermoelectric properties.

BACKGROUND: Citrus grandis 'Tomentosa,' a fruit epicarp of C. grandis 'Tomentosa' or C. grandis (L.) Osbeck is widely used in health food and medicine. Based on our survey results, there are also rich essential oils with bioactivities in leaves, but the chemical compounds in this part and relevant pharmacological activities have never been studied systematically. Therefore, this study was to preliminarily decipher the pharmacological activities and mechanisms of the essential oil in leaves of C. grandis 'Tomentosa' by an integrated network pharmacology approach. METHODS: Essential oil compositions from leaves ofC. grandis 'Tomentosa' were identified using GC-MS/MS. And then, the targets of these oil compositions were predicted and screened from TCMSP, SwissTargetPrediction, STITCH and SEA databases. STRING database was used to construct the protein-protein interaction networks, and the eligible protein targets were input into WebGestalt 2019 to carry out GO enrichment and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis. Based on the potential targets, disease enrichment information was obtained by TTD databases. Cytoscape software was used to construct the component-target-disease network diagrams. RESULTS: Finally, 61 essential oil chemical components were identified by GC-MS/MS, which correspond to 679 potential targets. Biological function analysis showed 12, 19, and 12 GO entries related to biological processes, cell components and molecular functions, respectively. 43 KEGG pathways were identified, of which the most significant categories were terpenoid backbone biosynthesis, TNF signaling pathway and leishmaniasis. The component-target-disease network diagram revealed that the essential oil compositions in leaves of C. grandis 'Tomentosa' could treat tumors, immune diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and respiratory diseases, which were highly related to CHRM1, PTGS2, CASP3, MAP2K1 and CDC25B. CONCLUSION: This study may provide new insight into C. grandis 'Tomentosa' or C. grandis (L.) Osbeck and may provide useful information for future utilization and development.
