RESUMEN
A high-spin nucleus coupled to a color center can act as a long-lived memory qudit in a spin-photon interface. The germanium vacancy (GeV) in diamond has attracted recent attention due to its excellent spectral properties and provides access to the ten-dimensional Hilbert space of the I=9/2 ^{73}Ge nucleus. Here, we observe the ^{73}GeV hyperfine structure, perform nuclear spin readout, and optically initialize the ^{73}Ge spin into any eigenstate on a µs timescale and with a fidelity of up to â¼84%. Our results establish ^{73}GeV as an optically addressable high-spin quantum platform for a high-efficiency spin-photon interface as well as for foundational quantum physics and metrology.

El granuloma eosinófilo (GE) es una forma benigna y localizada de histiocitosis de células de Langerhans. Es la forma menos grave de histiocitosis y se caracteriza por lesiones osteolíticas en uno o varios huesos. Las lesiones del hueso temporal, normalmente ocurren en asociación con enfermedad multifocal; sin embargo, lesiones aisladas pueden ocurrir sólo en mastoides o en todo el hueso temporal, sin afectación sistémica. Eosinophilic granuloma (EG) is a localized, benign form of Langerhans' cell histiocytosis. It is the least severe of the histiocytosis syndromes and characterized by lytic lesions of one or more bones. Temporal bone lesions usually occur in association with multifocal disease, but isolated lesions may occur in either the mastoid bone alone or in the entire temporal bone affecting other sites in the body. Two cases of EG of the temporal bone are reported and the literature is reviewed (AU)
