RESUMEN

Maximizing treatment efficacy and forecasting patient prognosis in cancer necessitates the strategic use of targeted therapy, coupled with the prompt precise detection of malignant tumors. Theutilizationof gaseous systems as an adaptable platform for creating nanobubbles (NBs) has garnered significant attention as theranostics, which involve combining contrast chemicals typically used for imaging with pharmaceuticals to diagnose and treattumorssynergistically in apersonalizedmanner for each patient. This review specifically examines the utilization of oxygen NBsplatforms as a theranostic weapon in the field of oncology. We thoroughly examine the key factors that impact the effectiveness of NBs preparations and the consequences of these treatment methods. This review extensively examines recent advancements in composition schemes, advanced developments in pre-clinical phases, and other groundbreaking inventions in the area of NBs. Moreover, this review offers a thorough examination of the optimistic future possibilities, addressing prospective methods for improvement and incorporation into widely accepted therapeutic practices. As we explore the ever-changing field of cancer theranostics, the incorporation of oxygen NBs appears as a promising development, providing new opportunities for precision medicine and marking a revolutionary age in cancer research and therapy.

RESUMEN

Here, we present a rare case of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) with eosinophilia harboring both BCR::ABL1 and PDGFRB rearrangements, posing a classification dilemma. The patient exhibited clinical and laboratory features suggestive of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and myeloid/lymphoid neoplasms with eosinophilia and tyrosine kinase gene fusions (MLN-TK), highlighting the diagnostic challenges associated with overlapping phenotypes. Despite the complexity, imatinib treatment swiftly achieved deep molecular remission, underscoring the therapeutic efficacy of tyrosine kinase inhibitors in such scenarios. Furthermore, the rapid attainment of deep remission by this patient in response to imatinib closely resembles that observed in MLN-TK patients with PDGFRB rearrangements. Further research is warranted to elucidate the underlying mechanisms driving the coexistence of multiple oncogenic rearrangements in MPNs and to optimize therapeutic strategies for these complex cases.

RESUMEN

Objectives: The online behavior of online users has taken on complex and diverse characteristics, and posting product reviews on e-commerce platforms is no exception. In fact, reviews contain rich and multi-dimensional discrete emotional information, and whether there is a relationship between the expression of these different discrete emotions and the time interval between product purchase and review posting as well as their related characteristics are the issues that this study needs to analyze and solve in depth. Methods: Based on the OCC model (named after three proposers) of psychological emotional cognitive evaluation theory as the basis for emotion classification, the study used the massive amounts of Chinese reviews of mobile phones on the Chinese e-commerce platform Jingdong Mall as the research object, applied supervised machine learning methods to classify discrete emotions, and constructed a large corpus containing satisfaction, disappointment, admiration, reproach, love, and hate; then the study delved into the distribution and behavioral dynamics characteristics of consumers' comments containing the different discrete emotions at different "purchase-comment" time intervals. Results: The results showed that the first peak of the distribution curves of the six discrete emotions at different "purchase-comment" time intervals occurs on the first day after purchase and then decreases gradually but at different rates. The three curves for satisfaction, love, and hate emotions also show a second peak on the eleventh day, which is more similar to the bimodal distribution, implying that the corresponding product reviews are more objective. In addition, the distribution of reviews containing the six discrete emotions at different "purchase-comment" time intervals follows a power-law distribution and has the temporal characteristics of human behavioral dynamics, that is, "strong paroxysms and weak memory". However, the reviews containing the admiration and reproach emotions were most intensively written by consumers after the purchase, indicating that the service provided by the seller, logistics, and e-commerce platform stimulates more consumers to give quick responses and detailed reviews. Conclusion: This study is not only of great significance for exploring the internal mechanisms of consumer discrete emotional expression but also provides important decision-making references for potential consumer purchasing decisions, product updates for developers, marketing strategy formulation for marketing teams, and service improvement for sellers, logistics companies, and e-commerce platforms.

RESUMEN

Background Arsenic is a human carcinogen. Arsenic and its metabolites affect the expression of p53, but whether there are any changes of p53 phosphorylation and ubiquitination levels in human bronchial epithelium cells (BEAS-2B) are not clear after exposure to arsenic and its metabolites. Objective To study the effects of arsenic and its metabolites monomethylarsic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) on the expression of tumor suppressor gene p53 in BEAS-2B cells. Methods Different concentrations of sodium arsenite (NaAsO2) were used to infect BEAS-2B cells, and the cell viability was detected with CCK-8 reagent to determine the dose and time of NaAsO2 used for the following study. Based on the results of cell viability, the cells were divided into two panels: a sodium arsenide panel and an arsenic methylation metabolite penal. The doses of sodium arsenite were 0, 2, 4, and 6 μmol·L−1 NaAsO2; the arsenic methylation metabolite panel consisted of 0 μmol·L−1 NaAsO2 group (control), 6 μmol· L−1 MMA group, 6 μmol· L−1 DMA group, and 6 μmol· L−1 NaAsO2 group. The cells were collected after 48 h treatment, and the total protein and total RNA were extracted. The relative levels of p53 mRNA expression were determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), the relative expression levels of p53 protein, p53 Ser9 and Ser15 phosphorylated proteins were determined by Western blot, and the level of p53 ubiquitination was detected by co-immunoprecipitation (CO-IP). Results Compared with the control group, the cell viability rates in all BEAS-2B cells treated by NaAsO2 were significantly reduced (P<0.05), and the 50% cell viability was observed at 6 μmol·L−1. Compared with the control group, the relative expression level of p53 mRNA gradually decreased after NaAsO2 (2, 4, 6 μmol·L−1) treatment (P<0.05), the relative expression levels of p53 protein and Ser9 phosphorylated protein induced by NaAsO2 also decreased gradually (P<0.05), and the relative expression level of p53 Ser15 phosphorylated protein induced by NaAsO2 followed the same pattern, but it was only lower than that of the control group in the 6 μmol·L−1 NaAsO2 group (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, there were no significant effects on the relative expression levels of p53 mRNA, p53 protein, Ser9 and Ser15 phosphorylated proteins in the MMA group and the DMA group. Compared with the control group, the expression level of p53 ubiquitination was significantly decreased and the expression of K48 ubiquitination decreased significantly after NaAsO2 infection. Conclusion Arsenic causes a decrease in the expression of the p53 protein in BEAS-2B cells, largely due to inhibition of the phosphorylated pathway and a decrease in mRNA expression, and protein changes caused by a decrease in p53 ubiquitination do not play a dominant role. MMA and DMA do not affect p53 gene expression.

RESUMEN

Objective:To investigate the efficacy and safety of daratumumab (Dara) - combination regimens for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM).Methods:A retrospective case series study was conducted. The clinical data of 34 patients with NDMM receiving treatment regimen including Dara from Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital, Huangdao Branch of Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University and Taian City Central Hospital between April 2020 and March 2022 were retrospectively collected. The efficacy, survival and adverse reactions of patients were analyzed. Cox proportional risk model was used to analyze the factors affecting overall survival (OS) and minimal residual disease (MRD) turning negative. Results:Among 34 patients with NDMM, there were 19 males and 15 females, with 21 cases aged < 65 years and 13 cases aged ≥65 years. The median follow-up duration [ M ( Q1, Q3)] was 22 months (19 months, 26 months), the median of Dara treatment cycles was 7 (5, 11), and the overall response rate (ORR) reached 97.1% (33/34). There were statistically significant differences in the optimal efficacy of patients stratified by receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or not and receiving different treatment cycles (all P ≤ 0.05), while there were no statistically significant differences in patients stratified by other clinical features (all P > 0.05). The 1-year progression-free survival rate was 79.4% and the 1-year OS rate was 94.1%. Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that the cycle number of treatment regimens containing Dara was an independent influencing factor of MRD turning negative (6 cycles vs. 2 cycles, HR = 0.267, 95% CI: 0.076-0.935, P = 0.039); age ≥ 65 years was an independent risk factor for OS ( HR = 35.313, 95% CI: 1.709-729.669, P = 0.021). The incidence of hematological adverse reactions grade 3 or above was 20.6% (7/34), and the non-hematological adverse reactions primarily included infection [44.1% (15/34)] and edema of extremity and trunk [41.2% (14/34)]. Conclusions:The Dara-based regimens for NDMM exhibit a high ORR. The remission depth accelerated with the increasing number of treatment cycle, and the adverse reactions are mild.

RESUMEN

ObjectiveCongenital heart disease (CHD) is a common birth defect in children, with its incidence increasing annually. Because of their special health status, the vaccination situation for children with CHD has become a focal point of attention. This paper systematically reviews the current status of vaccination among children with CHD in China to identify existing issues in vaccination efforts for children with CHD, provide guidance for increasing vaccination rates among children with CHD, reduce the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases, and provide ideas for subsequent research. MethodsLiterature on the vaccination of children with CHD in China was searched in both Chinese and English databases, including CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, VIP, Chinese Biomedical and Web of Science, PubMed, EmBase, and the Cochrane Library. Relevant literature was identified based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and data extraction was carried out to summarize the research results. ResultsA total of 15 studies were included. Three articles focusing on expert consensus (guideline recommendations) for vaccination of children with CHD in China all agreed that vaccination is both feasible and necessary for children with CHD. Systematic analysis found that the overall timely vaccination rate for children with CHD was between 34% and 50%, with a notable delay in vaccination. However, after professional outpatient assessment, the vast majority of children with CHD were advised to be vaccinated according to the national recommended schedule, with only about 2% of them being advised to delay vaccination. The proportion of children with CHD who reported suspected adverse events following immunization (AEFI) was low and not significantly different from that of healthy/control children. ConclusionThe safety of vaccinations for children with CHD in China is relatively high, but the total timely vaccination rate is currently low. In order to improve the coverage and timeliness of vaccination in children with CHD, it is recommended that relevant departments provide vaccination policy support. There is a lack of research on the effectiveness of vaccination in children with CHD, so further studies are urgently needed to further improve the vaccination strategy for children with CHD in China.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE To investigate the neuroprotective effect of curculigoside (CUR) on rats with spinal cord injury (SCI) based on phosphatase and tensin homologue deleted on chromosome ten gene-induced putative kinase 1 (PINK1)/E3 ubiquitin ligase Parkin signaling pathway. METHODS Taking male SD rats as subjects, 15 rats were randomly selected as sham operation group; the rest rats were chosen to establish SCI model by spinal cord impact method, and then were divided into model group, CUR low-dose group (36 mg/kg CUR, gavage), CUR high-dose group (72 mg/kg CUR, gavage) and CUR high-dose+3- methyladenine (3-MA) group (72 mg/kg CUR, gavage+20 mg/kg autophagy inhibitor 3-MA, intraperitoneal injection), with 15 rats in each group. Rats in each group were given corresponding liquid/normal saline, once a day, for 28 consecutive days. Basso- Beattie-Bresnahan (BBB) score and Rivlin inclined plate experiment were performed on the 14th and 28th day after administration; the pathological changes of spinal cord tissue in rats were observed in each group; the apoptosis of spinal cord tissue, the levels of oxidative stress factors [malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH)], and the protein expressions of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), PINK1, Parkin, p62 and microtubule- associated protein light chain 3 (LC3) were all determined. RESULTS Compared with the sham operation group, obvious edema and bleeding in the spinal cord tissue of rats were observed in the model group, accompanied by a large number of inflammatory cell infiltration; BBB score and inclined plate angle, SOD and GSH levels, the protein expressions of BDNF, PINK1 and Parkin, and LC3Ⅱ/Ⅰ ratio were significantly reduced; the apoptosis rate, MDA level, the protein expressions of GFAP and p62 in spinal cord tissue were significantly increased (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the edema, bleeding and infiltration of inflammatory cells in the spinal cord tissue of rats were reduced in the administration groups, and the above quantitative indicators had been significantly improved (P<0.05); 3-MA could significantly reverse the improvement effects of the above indexes by CUR (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS CUR can promote the recovery of neurological and motor functions in SCI rats, improve the pathological injury of the spinal cord and inhibit apoptosis, which may be related to mitochondrial autophagy mediated by activating the PINK1/Parkin signaling pathway.

RESUMEN

Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics and current situation of pertussis in Hubei Province from 2016 to 2021. Methods Data on the incidence of pertussis and immunization history of cases in Hubei Province from 2016 to 2021 were collected and descriptive epidemiological analysis was conducted. Results From 2016 to 2021, a total of 1 236 pertussis cases were reported in Hubei Province, with an average annual reported incidence rate of 0.35/100 000. The average annual reported incidence of pertussis in the age group ≤ 5 years old was 6.22/100 000, and the age group <1 year old reported the highest annual incidence rate (21.51/100 000). The proportion of pertussis among preschool children and students had increased significantly since 2020. Among the 1 111 cases with a known immunization history, 17.55% were under the age of vaccination , 41.85% were not vaccinated, and 17.46% had completed the whole course of vaccination. Conclusion Since 2016, the incidence of pertussis in Hubei Province has been on the rise. The risk of pertussis is higher in infants and young children who have not reached the age of vaccination and who have not been vaccinated in time according to the immunization program after reaching the age of vaccination. The timeliness and vaccination rate of DTP vaccine should be improved to reduce the risk of pertussis in infants and young children. In addition, more attention should be paid to the prevalence of pertussis among preschool children and students.

RESUMEN

Three carboline fluorescent probes F1-F3 were designed and synthesized, based on lead compound JYJ-19, an antifungal compound discovered previously by our group. The antifungal activity in vitro results showed that compound F1 had moderate antifungal activity (MIC80 = 32 μg·mL-1). The stokes shift of F1 is 70 nm. The fluorescent probe F1 has good optical properties and can be used for fluorescence imaging research. Subcellular localization experiments results showed that F1 was enriched in the mitochondria of fungal cells. The detection of intracellular reactive oxygen species levels shows that JYJ-19 enhances intracellular reactive oxygen species levels. The above results indicated that carboline compounds could exert antifungal effects by acting on fungal mitochondria.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the clinical application of three-dimensional CT angiography (3D-CTA) in repair of limb wounds with free lateral thoracic perforator flaps. Methods:A retrospective study was conducted to analyze the clinical data of 61 patients with limb soft tissue defects who had been treated at The Third Department of Orthopedics, Xingtai General Hospital of North China Medical and Health Group from January 2018 to September 2022. There were 37 males and 24 females with an age of (43.9±12.0) years. Thirty-three left and 28 right sides were injured. Soft tissue defects ranged from 4.0 cm × 3.0 cm to 17.0 cm × 8.0 cm, and flap areas from 5.0 cm × 4.0 cm to 18.0 cm × 9.0 cm. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to the different preoperative vascular exploration methods: an ultrasound group of 30 cases subjected to ultrasound Doppler examination and a 3D-CTA group of 31 cases subjected to 3D-CTA examination. The preoperative findings were compared with those of intraoperative exploration in the 2 groups. The operation time, flap survival rate, patient satisfaction with trauma repair, sensory recovery of the flap area, and the excellent and good rate of the donor area were also compared between the 2 groups. Results:The differences in preoperative general data between the 2 groups were not statistically significant, indicating the 2 groups were comparable ( P>0.05). In the ultrasound group, the inraoperative classification of the lateral thoracic perforator flaps showed a low concordance with preoperative classification (Kappa coefficient of 0.104, P=0.088). In the 3D-CTA group, the classification of lateral thoracic perforator flaps was consistent with the preoperative 3D-CTA examination (Kappa coefficient of 1.00, P<0.001). The preoperative measurements in the 3D-CTA group found that the diameter at the origin of the lateral thoracic artery was (1.2±0.3) mm, the vascular pedicle length (8.1±2.1) cm, and the diameter at the perforator exit (0.6±0.2) mm; the preoperative surface positioning at the perforator exit found that the perforator exit was (1.6±0.3) cm above the horizontal line of the subscapular angle and (5.3±1.4) cm outside the vertical line of the subscapular angle. These measurements were similar to the intraoperative ones [(1.1±0.3) mm, (8.3±2.4) cm, (0.7±0.2) mm, (1.5±0.4) cm, and (5.2±1.5) cm], showing no significant differences ( P>0.05). In contrast, the preoperative measurements of the above indexes in the ultrasound group did not coincide with the actual intraoperative measurements, and the differences were all statistically significant ( P<0.05). The operation time, flap survival rate, rate of patient satisfaction with wound repair, rate of sensory recovery in the flap area, and the excellence and good rate of the donor area in the 3D-CTA group were (52.9±16.7) min, 100.0% (31/31), 96.8% (30/31), 83.9% (26/31), and 87.1% (27/31), respectively, which were significantly better than those in the ultrasound group [(76.3±21.4) min, 86.7% (26/30), 76.7% (23/30), 60.0% (18/30), 63.3% (20/30)] ( P<0.05). Conclusions:As preoperative 3D-CTA examination can clarify the types and anatomical characteristics of the lateral thoracic artery and its perforators, it helps the design and harvest of the lateral thoracic perforator flaps. Compared with the ultrasound Doppler examination, preoperative 3D-CTA examination shortens operation time, raises survival rate of the flaps, and facilitates recovery of the appearance and function of the limb wounds, and leads to little impact on the donor site.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the correlation between grip strength promotion and improvement of body composition and metabolic disorders in health examination population of different genders. Methods:In this retrospective cohort study, clinical data of 600 people who received health examination and grip strength check-up two times or more in the Medical Examination Center of Peking University Third Hospital from January 2018 to November 2022 were selected. The general data, physical examination, biochemical parameters, body composition and grip strength results were collected. After the first physical examination, the grip strength test was conducted, appropriate resistance strength exercises were given based on individual evaluation results. A health lecture was held, and the information related to health exercise was pushed through WeChat official account every week. The grip strength test was completed at the same time at the second physical examination, and the difference between the two test results was calculated before and after the second physical examination. The generalized estimation equation was used to analyze the correlation between the improvement of grip strength and the improvement of body composition and metabolic disorders in different gender health-check population. Results:In man and women, the body mass index [(25.50±3.66) vs (25.33±3.74) kg/m 2, (22.41±3.55) vs (22.25±3.46) kg/m 2] and grip strength [(42.71±7.30) vs (41.77±7.36) kg, (25.28±5.30) vs (23.98±4.87) kg] at the second health check-up were all significantly higher than those at the first time, and the diastolic blood pressure [(72.79±10.30) vs (74.47±9.85) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), (66.93±8.90) vs (68.92±9.42) mmHg] and serum homocysteine [(17.96±14.09) vs (19.27±14.26) μmol/L, (9.47±3.91) vs (10.26±3.90) μmol/L] were all significantly lower than those at the first time (all P<0.05). Among man, the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) at the second physical examination was significantly lower than that at the first time [(2.94±0.78) vs (3.00±0.69) mmol/L] (all P<0.05). Among women, the systolic blood pressure and uric acid at the second health check-up were both significantly lower than those at the first time [(109.34±12.85) vs (110.54±12.32) mmHg, (276.91±62.46) vs (287.16±68.78) μmol/L], and the waist-hip ratio was significant higher (85.8%±5.1% vs 85.4%±5.0%) (all P<0.05). In males, the decreased aspartate aminotransferase ( OR=0.932, 95% CI: 0.888-0.978) and the increased skeletal muscle index ( OR=75.370, 95% CI: 29.012-195.806) were both positively correlated with the elevation of grip strength (all P<0.05); and in females, the decreased homocysteine ( OR=0.876, 95% CI: 0.782-0.982) and glycosylated hemoglobin ( OR=0.423, 95% CI: 0.222-0.805) and increased skeletal muscle index ( OR=22.918, 95% CI: 11.114-47.256) were all positively correlated with the elevation of grip strength (all P<0.05). Conclusion:There is a positive correlation between the improvement of grip strength and the improvement trend of body composition and metabolic disorders in in health examination population of different genders.

RESUMEN

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has the potential to benefit visual perceptual learning (VPL). However, previous studies investigated the effect of tDCS on VPL within early sessions, and the influence of tDCS on learning effects at later stages (plateau level) is unclear. Here, participants completed 9 days of training on coherent motion direction identification to reach a plateau (stage 1) and then continued training for 3 days (stage 2). The coherent thresholds were measured before training, after stage 1 and after stage 2. In the first group, anodal tDCS was applied when participants trained over a period of 12 days (stage 1 + stage 2). In the second group, participants completed a 9-day training period without any stimulation to reach a plateau (stage 1); after that, participants completed a 3-day training period while anodal tDCS was administered (stage 2). The third group was treated the same as the second group except that anodal tDCS was replaced by sham tDCS. The results showed that anodal tDCS did not improve posttest performance after the plateau was reached. The comparison of learning curves between the first and third groups showed that anodal tDCS decreased the threshold at the early stage, but it did not improve the plateau level. For the second and third groups, anodal tDCS did not further enhance the plateau level after a continued 3-day training period. These results suggest that anodal tDCS boosts VLP during the early period of training sessions, but it fails to facilitate later learning effects. This study contributed to a deep understanding of the dissociable tDCS effects at distinct temporal stages, which may be due to the dynamic change in brain regions during the time course of VPL.

RESUMEN

Objective:To explore the effects of online supportive disclosure therapy on the self-expression level, professional identity, dimission intention, and turnover rate of pre-dimission nurses, in order to provide a reference for nursing managers to stabilize the nursing team. Methods:A quasi experimental research method was used, and a convenient sampling method was used to select 192 pre resigned nurses from Shandong Provincial Third Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University, and Shandong First Medical University Affiliated Provincial Hospital from October 2021 to December 2022 as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group and an experimental group by random number table method, with 96 nurses in each group. The control group received routine exit interviews, while the experimental group received online supportive disclosure therapy intervention based on this. The self-expression level, professional identity, dimission intention, and turnover rate of two groups of nurses before and 1, 2 months after the intervention were evaluated. Results:Finally, 94 nurses in the control group and 92 nurses in the experimental group completed the study. There were no significant differences in the self-expression level, professional identity, dimission intention before the intervention between the two groups ( P>0.05). After 1 and 2 months of the intervention, the scores of the Pain Self Disclosure Index, Nurse Professional Identity Rating Scale, and Resignation Intention Scale of the experimental group were 36.33 ± 5.13, 73.88 ± 8.72, 14.18 ± 1.12 and 34.22 ± 6.78, 98.26 ± 11.29, 6.16 ± 1.19, respectively, and the control group were 28.06 ± 8.23, 64.72 ± 10.39, 17.82 ± 1.37 and 44.26 ± 7.62, 79.82 ± 8.66, 9.18 ± 1.06, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups ( t values were -13.54 to -2.11, all P<0.05); there were statistically significant differences in the inter group effects, time effects, and interaction effects of the scores on the Pain Self Disclosure Index, Professional Identity Rating Scale, and Resignation Intention Scale between the two groups ( F values were 5.12 to 14.82, all P<0.05). The turnover rate of nurses in the experimental group was 1.09% (1/92), lower than 8.51% (8/94) in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( χ2=1.59, P<0.05). Conclusions:Online supportive disclosure therapy can improve the self-expression level and professional identity of pre-dimission nurses, and reduce their willingness to resign and turnover rate.
