[Active prospective monitoring of pharmacotherapy safety in outpatients: practical value].

Safety of outpatients pharmacotherapy was studied with active prospective monitoring. The procedure was shown efficient in investigation of the structure of drug adverse reactions, estimation of the pharmacoeconomic aspects and risk factors in development of drug-associated complications. The data provided by the monitoring could be used as a basis for pharmacoepidemiological and pharmacoeconomic studies and mega-analysis. Therefore, active prospective monitoring of outpatients pharmacotherapy should be considered useful in improving the Russian system of pharmacosurveillance.
