RESUMEN

Summary. Breast cancer has a high potential for metastasis, usually to the lungs, bones, liver and lymph nodes. Metastases in the holow organs of the digestive system are rare and mainly affectes the stomach and colon. They are characterized by very different clinical and radiological manifestations. We have warned that the initial unrecognized breast cancer can appear as a primary tumor of the stomach and colon, and onlya histopathological analysis reveales that it is a metastatic breast cancer. Metastases to the stomach or intestine involve deep layer of the mucosa and pathohistological findings of standard biopsy sample can be falsely negative, despite positive imaging technique (abdominal ultrasound and MSCT, endoscopic ultrasound) that indicate the tumor process. That's,why we emphasize the importance of endoscopic mucosal resection in the detection of malignant process of deeper layers of the gastric mucosa and deep intestinal mucosal biopsies with postoperative analysis of its walls.

RESUMEN

We report a case of a complete, ectopic blind-ending ureteral duplication in a 26-year-old man who presented with the symptoms of an acute urinary tract infection for the first time. Since anamnestic data and clinical examination indicated a complicated urinary infection he was referred for further examination. On the left side, the imaging studies revealed a normal ureter draining the lower pole of the kidney and a blind-ending ureter with ectopia in the seminal vesicle. The patient recovered completely following surgical removal of the blind-ending ureter.

RESUMEN

Fast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has revolutionized our ability to image the fetus by using fast scanning techniques. Individual images are obtained in 300-400 s allowing fetal imaging without sedation due to reduced fetal movement artifacts. MRI is most useful for evaluation of the anomalies of fetal nervous and urinary system which are not fully clarified by ultrasound. The influence of magnetic resonance depending on gestational age on perinatal management nowadays is certain. This review discusses its current application and future developments.
