RESUMEN

This report is the product of investigation to review the result of Micro-fat graft (MFG) for upper eyelid rejuvenation compelled by Dr. Mark Codner and discusses the variety of suboptimal outcomes and rationale for their occurrence. METHODS: This retrospective review included 1047 patients who underwent upper eyelid rejuvenation between 2001 and 2016. RESULTS: The follow-up ranged from 3 to 190 months. Twenty-one patients were judged to have bad outcomes, and on four patients, the results were categorized as "ugly". These undesirable outcomes are categorized and discussed. CONCLUSION: This report documents a variety of poor outcomes and the rationale for their development over a long-term follow-up and discusses the way in which these can be minimized.
