RESUMEN

Described are the results of computer-based X-ray interpretation of images of long-bone fractures made immediately after trauma. The difference between roentgenograms made on the day of trauma and on the next day is demonstrated. A new soft, which was used by the author for X-ray interpretations, is depicted.

RESUMEN

The authors suggest signs of repeated attacks with blunt objects to be used in forensic medical expert evaluation of skull vault bone injuries. These signs are based on analysis of variants of combinations of injuries and individual fissures on the inner compact plate in cases when it is impossible to establish the order of fractures occurrence from the type of destruction on the outer surface of the bone.

RESUMEN

Regularities of the lower limb bone destruction in consecutive attacks with blunt objects were studied in experiments on corpses and in the course of forensic medical expert evaluation. Morphologic criteria of additional traumatism were established permitting the diagnosis of the order of development of multiple fractures.

RESUMEN

Genome "dactyloscopy" (DNA fingerprinting) is a principally new way of personal identification based on analysis of human genetic material (DNA); the difference in DNA structure of different subjects is the scientific basis of this method. This ensures opportunity to estimate biological relationship of persons positively. The authors were the first to demonstrate using certain expert material the adequacy and potentials of DNA fingerprinting by M 13 probe for medicolegal expert practice in most complicated cases of relationship determination requiring positive identification of paternity and maternity.

RESUMEN

In this article the authors give a scientific evaluation of genetic dactyloscopy method in which the sites of human chromosomal DNA, possessing structural polymorphism, act as genetic markers. Technology of genome "dactyloscopy" including both the series of standard conventional methods and new methods is presented. The method is highly sensitive and requires small amounts of material for investigation. A practical case is described when genome "dactyloscopy" gave positive results which led to a conclusion on suspect's involvement in the crime.

RESUMEN

The issues of intensification of medicolegal expert work on the basis of financial stimulation of competition between experts are considered. A new system of work distribution between experts, control and financial stimulation is developed. Three groups of objective indices are singled out and algorithms for different kinds of investigations are worked out. The system is approved in Medicolegal Bureau in Voronezh. Its use enlarged the volume of expert activities, increased the quality of expert investigations and shortened time of investigation performance.
