RESUMEN

Anisakiasis is an arising zoonosis induced by parasitic nematodes belonging to the family Anisakidae. Anisakiasis is often caused by the ingestion of larval nematodes in uncooked or minimally processed seafood dishes, which are regularly consumed by humans. Significant potential sources of infection are raw fish (e.g., sushi and sashimi) that can be found in traditional Japanese cuisine and can be part of the culinary tradition of consumption of raw or marinated fish that is particularly diffused in European countries. During the last five decades, the global prevalence of human anisakiasis has been rising, becoming an emergent major public health problem. Thus, there is an unmet need for well-defined and cost-effective methods aimed at killing Anisakis larvae, thus reducing the incidence of anisakiasis. In this mini-review, we discuss the clinical features of anisakiasis as well as the effectiveness and mechanisms of action of the main methods employed for increasing seafood safety and killing Anisakis larvae, including freezing, heating, use of high hydrostatic pressure, salting process, pepsin digestion method and use of garlic oil.

RESUMEN

Abstract: Out of 38,282 passengers entering Italy at a major seaport, submitted to SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigenic test, 272 (0.6%) resulted positive and 212 (93.4%) were confirmed positive by qRT-PCR, leaving a 0.6% of false positive. Those resident in the area under control of the same Local Health Authority of the seaport were immediately submitted to isolation and investigated for contact tracing, the others notified to their Local Health Authority which did the same in the following day. This procedure was made possible by a full-time dedication of the local healthcare workers who managed all the passengers disembarking around the clock along the months of the emergency.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: The study in question starts from a general analysis of Law n. 219/2017 and then to deepen the patient's right to self-determination, which is exercised through the expression of an informed consent to medical therapy. The analysis refers in particular to the patient's decision-making autonomy, the professional autonomy of the doctor and his consequent responsibility. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This study examines the art. 5 of the Law n. 219/2017, where the Legislator has defined the theme of shared planning of care. The authors compare the Advance Treatment Provisions (Article 4 - Law No. 219/2017) and the Shared Care Planning, to then examine the emerging relationship of care between doctor and patient. RESULT: The relationship of care must be related to the patient's willingness to decide on his future and to the technical and scientific information that the doctor is required to give. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, the Authors highlight the innovative content of the shared care plan, emphasizing the importance for a patient suffering from a chronic and progressive disease to be actively involved in formulating their own therapeutic plan.
