Objetivo: analisar o nível de estresse percebido e sofrimento psíquico em gestores de saúde na pandemia da Covid-19. Método: estudo descritivo, transversal com abordagem quantitativa. A coleta ocorreu de abril a setembro de 2021, com 40 gestores de serviço de saúde. Utilizou-se para a coleta de dados um instrumento para caracterização sociodemográfica e ocupacional e as escalas "Perceived Stress Scale-14" e "Self Reporting Questionnaire" para avaliação do estresse percebido e sofrimento psíquico. Os dados coletados foram analisados no Statistical Package for the Social Sciences versão 22.0. O presente estudo faz parte de um projeto intitulado "Trabalhadores dos Serviços de Saúde Frente à Pandemia de Covid-19", aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa sob CAAE número 35260620.9.0000.5231. Resultados: a maioria dos profissionais eram do sexo feminino (90%, N=36), casados (70%, N=28), com filhos (80%, N=32), com média de idade de 45 anos e com pós--graduação (47,5%, N=19). A média dos escores relacionados ao estresse percebido foi 31,13 pontos (DP=3,77) sendo o mínimo 24 e máximo de 42 pontos. Com relação ao sofrimento psíquico, (40%, N=16) os gestores apresentaram prováveis casos de transtornos. A prática de atividades físicas e de lazer (p<0,05) tem papel importante na diminuição do estresse percebido e do sofrimento psíquico. Conclusão: os gestores em saúde apresentaram, durante a pandemia, estresse e sofrimento psíquico, resultados esses que devem ser considerados para promoção de autocuidado aos gestores de saúde, enfatizando a necessidade da realização de atividades físicas e de lazer.
Objective: to analyze the level of perceived stress and psychological suffering in health managers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: descriptive, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The collection took place from April to September 2021, with 40 health service managers. An instrument for socio-demographic and occupational characterization and the "Perceived Stress Scale-14" and "Self Reporting Questionnaire" scales were used for the assessment of perceived stress and psychic suffering. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 22.0. The present study is part of a project entitled "Health Service Workers in the Face of the Covid-19 Pandemic", approved by the Research Ethics Committee under CAAE number 35260620.9.0000.5231. Results: most professionals were female (90%, N=36), married (70%, N=28), with children (80%, N=32), with a mean age of 45 years and with a postgraduate degree. -graduation (47.5%, N=19). The average score related to perceived stress was 31.13 points (SD=3.77), with a minimum of 24 and a maximum of 42 points. With regard to psychic suffering, (40%, N=16) the managers presented probable cases of disorders. The practice of physical and leisure activities (p<0.05) plays an important role in reducing perceived stress and psychological distress. Conclusion: health managers presented, during the pandemic, stress and psychic suffering, results that should be considered for promoting self-care to health managers, emphasizing the need to carry out physical and leisure activities.Keywords: Health manager; Occupational stress; Covid-19; Coronavirus infections.

Métodos: estudo quantitativo, analítico e transversal, realizado com 93 enfermeiros, utilizando um questionário sociodemográfico e ocupacional e o Questionário de Condições de Eficácia no Trabalho II. Os dados foram coletados entre fevereiro e março de 2023. A análise dos dados deu-se por meio de estatística descritiva, teste de Kolgomorov-Smirnov, teste do qui-quadrado e regressão de Poisson. Resultados: os enfermeiros apresentaram nível moderado de empoderamento estrutural, com média de 20,67 (p<0,000). O componente mais pontuado foi a oportunidade (4,22 dp±0,80). Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas nos níveis de empoderamento estrutural relacionadas às unidades de trabalho (p-Valor 0,381), vínculo empregatício (p-Valor 0,352) e grau de instrução (p-Valor 0,839). O modelo de regressão de Poisson indica que tanto pode haver altos ou baixos níveis de empoderamento a depender do setor. Conclusão: os enfermeiros demonstraram possuir níveis moderados de empoderamento estrutural.
Objective: to analyze the structural empowerment of nurses in a high-complexity hospital. Methods: a quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out with 93 nurses, using a sociodemographic and occupational questionnaire and the Questionnaire of Conditions of Effectiveness at Work II. The data was collected between February and March 2023. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Kolgomorov-Smirnov test, the chi-square test, and Poisson regression. Results: the nurses had a moderate structural empowerment level, with a mean of 20.67 (p<0.000). The highest scoring component was opportunity (4.22 sd±0.80). No significant differences were found in the structural empowerment levels related to work units (p-Value 0.381), employment relationship (p-Value 0.352) and education level (p-Value 0.839). The Poisson regression model indicates that there can be either high or low empowerment levels depending on the sector. Conclusion: nurses showed moderate structural empowerment levels.

RESUMEN
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease with significant global impact and a challenging diagnosis. The utilization of adequately validated rapid tests is relevant for the opportune identification of the disease and for reduction in fatality rates. The present study analyzes the accuracy and reliability of the Dual Path Platform (DPP) assay -produced in Brazil by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz)- for diagnosing leptospirosis. Firstly, a serological panel was constructed in the Brazilian Reference Laboratory for Leptospirosis using samples routinely handled by reference laboratories of six Brazilian states. It consisted of 150 positive (according to MAT and IgM-ELISA) and 250 negative samples for leptospirosis. Subsequently, the panel samples were distributed to the reference laboratories for the performance of DPP assays in triplicate. Different measures were used in the assessment of diagnostic quality. Predictive values were estimated for different pre-test probability settings. Sensitivities varied between 67.33 % and 74.00 % and specificities between 93.20 % and 98.40 % in the states, and there were adequate agreements between them. Accuracies were lower for the samples of patients with less than 7 days of symptoms. In contexts of prevalence values up to around 25 %, positive and negative predictive values were around 90 %. However, in situations of high pre-test probabilities, NPVs were low. This study improves understanding of the use of DPP in diagnosing leptospirosis, particularly its application in healthcare settings. As long as the time of symptoms onset and clinical and epidemiological contexts are adequately considered for the interpretation of results, DPP is a valid option to be used in the leptospirosis diagnostic routine.

Responsible companion animal guardianship (RCAG) covers aspects that are relevant to both animal and human health. Understanding the factors associated with adherence to RCAG principles can guide accountability, animal welfare and disease control. The present observational study describes the level of adherence to RCAG by guardians living in a medium-sized Brazilian municipality and identifies the factors associated with inadequate guardianship. Questionnaires were administered to randomly selected guardians of 704 dogs. The binary outcome of the study, namely more and less adequate compliers to RCAG principles, was analyzed using a score list comprising eight variables relating to the care provided to the dogs, namely provision of veterinary services, vaccination against rabies, deworming, no access to the streets without supervision, walking with guardian, dog freedom at home, registration (microchipping) and satisfactory food supply. Factors possibly associated with less adequate adherence to RCAG by the guardian, such as socioeconomic and cultural features of the guardians, characteristics of the dogs and attributes of the guardian-animal interactions, were analyzed using multiple logistic regression models. The RCAG actions least adopted by guardians were animal registration, provision of veterinary care, walking with the dog and preventing access of the dogs to the streets without supervision. Individuals who cared for a single dog, a mixed breed dog or had previously lost a dog were less likely to show adequate adherence to RCAG. Conversely, guardians who owned cars, acquired dogs as puppies, lived in households with a maximum of four residents, cared for a sterilized dog or thought that caring for a dog was easier than (or as) expected, had a higher chance of showing adequate adherence to RCAG. The results verify that the socioeconomic and behavioral characteristic of guardians must be taken into consideration for understanding the adherence to RCAG. In addition, it is important to facilitate access to veterinary services and to raise awareness about the significance of a safe and healthy environment for companion animals.

Objective: To investigate the use of medicines by women deprived of their liberty in a municipality in the east of Minas Gerais. Method: The research was conducted in three stages: (I) documentary investigation, (II) analysis of medical records, and (III) application of semi-structured questionnaires. Women deprived of liberty who were part of the prison system evaluated participated in the study. The research was carried out between June 2020 and June 2021. Result: Seventeen women deprived of their liberty participated in the study, most of them black and brown (88.24%), between 30 and 49 years old (n = 9; 52.9%), and who used a total of 56 different medications, with the psychotropic class being the most prevalent (n = 28; 50%), followed by cardiovascular system drugs (n = 15; 26.8%). Conclusion: The medications most used by study participants belonged to the class of antidepressants and antiepileptics. Furthermore, the women's medical records lacked crucial information regarding medication use. These data, combined with difficulties in access, highlight the importance of complying with public policies in favor of comprehensive health care for women deprived of their liberty, especially the right to access and rational use of medicines.

Objective: To analyze the fibers and porosity of Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond and Non-Woven Fabric materials used to manufacture sur-gical masks for respiratory protection of healthcare workers exposed to chemical and biological occupational hazards. Method: Descriptive analytical study, using scanning electron microscopy to analyze the materials. Conducted at the Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis Laboratory. Masks made with Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond wraps for sterilization and Non-Woven Fabric surgical masks were used in this research. Result: The mask made with Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond presents fibers distributed randomly the inner filtering layer has fine fibers ranging from 1 to 5 µm and are well tangled. The Non-Woven Fabric mask has the filtering layer consisting of fine fibers and is less dense. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate vari-ation in pore size and fibers of Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond and Non-Woven Fabric, which may result in improper filtering of chemical particles by fabric fibers. Microorganisms can vary from 1 to 5 µm, making these analyzed materials act as a protective barrier against biological risks. (AU)
Objetivo: Analisar as fibras e a porosidade dos materiais Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond e Tecido-Não-Tecido utilizados para confeccionar másca-ras cirúrgicas para proteção respiratória de trabalhadores da saúde expostos a riscos ocupacionais químicos e biológicos. Método: Estudo analítico des-critivo, utilizando o microscópio eletrônico de varredura para analisar os materiais. Realizado no Laboratório de Microscopia Eletrônica e Microanálise. Foram usadas nessa pesquisa máscaras confeccionadas com envoltórios de Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond para esterilização e máscaras cirúrgicas de Tecido-Não-Tecido. Resultado: A máscara confeccionada com Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond apresenta fibras distribuídas de forma aleatória a camada interna filtrante possui fibras finas, que variam de 1 a 5 µm e bem emaranhadas. A máscara de tecido-não-tecido possui a camada filtrante constituída por fibras finas e apresenta-se pouco densa. Conclusão: Os resultados deste estudo indicam que há variação no tamanho dos poros e das fibras do Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond e do Tecido-Não-Tecido, o que pode acarretar a não filtragem de forma correta de partículas químicas pelas fibras do tecido. Os micror-ganismos podem variar de 1 a 5 µm, fazendo com que esses materiais analisados se apresentem como barreira protetora relacionada a riscos biológicos. (AU)
Objetivo: Analizar las fibras y la porosidad de los materiales Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond y Tejido-no-Tejido utilizados para la fabricación de máscaras quirúrgicas para la protección respiratoria de trabajadores de la salud expuestos a riesgos ocupacionales químicos y biológicos. Método: Estudio analítico descriptivo, utilizando el Microscopio Electrónico de Barrido para llevar a cabo los análisis de los materiales. Realizado en el Laboratorio de Microscopía Electrónica y Microanálisis. Se utilizaron en esta investigación máscaras fabricadas con envolturas de Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond para esterilización y máscaras quirúrgicas de Tejido-no-Tejido. Resultados: La máscara fabricada con Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond presenta fibras distribui-das de forma aleatoria. La capa interna filtrante tiene fibras finas que varían de 1 a 5 µm y están bien entrelazadas. La máscara fabricada con el material de Tejido-no-Tejido tiene la capa filtrante constituida por fibras finas y presenta una densidad baja. Conclusión: Los resultados de este estudio indican que hay variación en los tamaños de los poros y las fibras del Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond y Tejido-no-Tejido, lo que puede provocar que las partículas químicas no se filtren correctamente a través de las fibras del tejido. Los microorganismos pueden variar de 1 a 5 µm, lo que hace que estos materiales analizados se presenten como una barrera protectora relacionada con los riesgos biológicos. (AU)

Introdução: Os trabalhadores do setor administrativo do agronegócio estão susceptíveis a riscos ocupacionais em seu processo de trabalho, como: físicos, químicos, de acidentes e ergonômicos, biológicos e psicossociais como fadiga, tensão e pressão no trabalho. Essas condições influenciam na saúde física e mental desses trabalhadores interferindo no desempenho das atividades laborais e na qualidade de vida no trabalho. Em decorrência destes fatores, nota-se a importância de encontrar meios para proporcionar uma melhor qualidade de vida e satisfação no ambiente ocupacional bem como, promover uma saúde mental entre os trabalhadores do agronegócio. Objetivo: Refletir as estratégias organizacionais do enfermeiro do trabalho para a promoção da saúde mental no ambiente laboral de trabalhadores do agronegócio. Método: Estudo reflexivo, do tipo descritivo, que reflete as experiências no desenvolvimento de ações de uma equipe multidisciplinar de uma empresa de agronegócio localizada em mais de três estados brasileiros e conta com 1200 trabalhadores. A ideia do cuidado com a saúde mental dos trabalhadores do agronegócio surgiu a partir da observação da enfermeira do trabalho na busca recorrente dos trabalhadores ao departamento de gente e gestão, com relatos de problemas vivenciados dentro e fora da empresa. Frente a essa problemática surgiu a necessidade de disponibilizar para os trabalhadores um cuidado com foco na saúde mental, por meio de acolhimento e direcionamento para atendimento especializado dentro da própria empresa. Diante disso, foi estruturado dentro do Programa de Qualidade de Vida no Trabalho, já existente na empresa, um pilar denominado cuidado com a saúde emocional, com modalidades de atendimentos individuais, grupos de rodas de conversa e no formato on-line. Resultados: Com a divulgação do programa os trabalhadores estavam mais à vontade para buscar atendimentos com a psicóloga do programa e mostram-se interessados pelos grupos de rodas de conversas. Durante um ano, 238 trabalhadores buscaram pelo atendimento. A partir de então, a promoção do cuidado com a saúde mental dos trabalhadores ocorreu por meio da manutenção dos grupos de atendimentos individuais. Conclusão: O cuidado com a saúde mental no contexto corporativo é essencial para promover a integridade física e psicológica do trabalhador. Contudo, é necessário que a empresa invista mais em campanhas informativas com cuidado com a saúde mental, pois durante um ano, apenas 19,83% dos trabalhadores buscaram pelos atendimentos propostos pela empresa, além de que, a implementação de um programa para a saúde dos trabalhadores, valoriza a profissão do enfermeiro do trabalho e lhe traz subsídios para a continuidade e qualidade de assistências àqueles que o mesmo assiste.
Introduction: Workers in the agribusiness administrative sector are susceptible to occupational risks in their work process, such as: physical, chemical, accident and ergonomic, biological and psychosocial such as fatigue, tension and pressure at work. These conditions influence the physical and mental health of these workers, interfering with the performance of work activities and quality of life at work. As a result of these factors, it is important to find ways to provide a better quality of life and satisfaction in the occupational environment, as well as promoting mental health among agribusiness workers. Objective: To reflect the organizational strategies of occupational nurses to promote mental health in the work environment of agribusiness workers. Method: Reflective, descriptive study, which reflects the experiences in developing actions of a multidisciplinary team from an agribusiness company located in more than three Brazilian states and has 1200 workers. The idea of caring for the mental health of agribusiness workers arose from the observation of the occupational nurse in the workers' recurring search for the people and management department, with reports of problems experienced inside and outside the company. Faced with this problem, the need arose to provide workers with care focused on mental health, through welcoming and directing them to specialized care within the company itself. In view of this, a pillar called care for emotional health was structured within the Quality of Life at Work Program, already existing in the company, with individual assistance modalities, conversation groups and in an online format. Results: With the publicity of the program, workers were more comfortable seeking assistance from the program's psychologist and were interested in conversation groups. During one year, 238 workers sought assistance. From then on, the promotion of care for workers' mental health occurred through the maintenance of individual care groups. Conclusion: Mental health care in the corporate context is essential to promote the physical and psychological integrity of workers. However, it is necessary for the company to invest more in informative campaigns with care for mental health, as during one year, only 19.83% of workers sought the services proposed by the company, in addition to the implementation of a health program of workers, values the profession of occupational nurses and provides support for the continuity and quality of care for those they assist.

Como resultado de estos factores, es importante encontrar formas de brindar una mejor calidad de vida y satisfacción en el entorno ocupacional, así como promover la salud mental entre los trabajadores de la agroindustria. Objetivo: Reflejar las estrategias organizacionales de las enfermeras ocupacionales para promover la salud mental en el ambiente laboral de los trabajadores de la agroindustria. Método: Estudio reflexivo, descriptivo, que refleja las experiencias en el desarrollo de acciones de un equipo multidisciplinario de una empresa agroindustrial ubicada en más de tres estados brasileños y que cuenta con 1200 trabajadores. Ante esto, se estructuró un pilar denominado atención a la salud emocional dentro del Programa Calidad de Vida en el Trabajo, ya existente en la empresa, con modalidades de atención individual, grupos de conversación y en formato online. Resultados: Con la publicidad del programa, los trabajadores se sintieron más cómodos buscando ayuda del psicólogo del programa y se interesaron por los grupos de conversación. Durante un año, 238 trabajadores buscaron ayuda. A partir de entonces, la promoción del cuidado de la salud mental de los trabajadores se dio a través del mantenimiento de grupos de atención individuales. Conclusión: El cuidado de la salud mental en el contexto empresarial es fundamental para promover la integridad física y psicológica de los trabajadores. Sin embargo, es necesario que la empresa invierta más en campañas informativas con cuidado de la salud mental, ya que durante un año, sólo el 19,83% de los trabajadores buscó los servicios propuestos por la empresa, además de la implementación de un programa de salud de los trabajadores. valora la profesión de enfermeras ocupacionales y brinda apoyo para la continuidad y calidad de la atención a quienes asisten.

Abstract Objective: to analyze quality of life and factors associated among public university employees retired due to disabilities. Method: a cross-sectional study conducted with a sample of public university employees retired due to disabilities. A characterization questionnaire and the World Health Organization Quality of Life - Disabilities instrument were applied via telephone or online contacts from November 2019 to September 2020. The associated factors were verified through multiple linear regression. Results: of the 80 retirees due to disability, 15% were professors and 85% had a technical-administrative career. As for the factors associated with Quality of Life, continuous medication use (βadj: -0.25; p=0.02) and problems in the nervous system (βadj: -0.21; p<0.05) were associated with the Overall domain; continuous medication use (βadj: -0.23; p=0.04), to the Physical domain; smoking (βadj: -0.21; p<0.05) and mental and behavioral disorders (βadj: -0.21; p<0.01), to the Psychological domain; smoking (βadj: -0.46; p<0.01) and respiratory (βadj: -0.21; p=0.03) and circulatory (βadj: -0.21; p=0.03) problems, to the Social domain; smoking (βadj: -0.33; p<0.01) and problems in the nervous system (βadj: -0.22; p=0.04), to the Environmental domain; mental and behavioral disorders, to the Disabilities module (βadj: -0.29; p<0.01) and to the Discrimination domain (βadj: -0.21; p<0.05); and smoking (βadj: -0.32; p<0.01) and problems in the nervous system (βadj: -0.20; p<0.05), to the Inclusion domain. The Autonomy domain did not present any association. Conclusion: the retirees under study presented impaired Quality of Life.
Resumo Objetivo: analisar a qualidade de vida e os fatores associados entre servidores de universidades públicas aposentados por invalidez. Método: estudo transversal, com amostra de servidores aposentados por invalidez de universidades públicas. Um questionário de caracterização e o World Health Organization Quality of Life - Disabilities foram aplicados por contato telefônico ou online no período de novembro de 2019 a setembro de 2020. Verificaram-se os fatores associados por regressão linear múltipla. Resultados: dos 80 aposentados por invalidez, 15% eram docentes e 85% da carreira técnica-administrativa. Resumen Objetivo: analizar la calidad de vida y los factores asociados de empleados de universidades públicas jubilados por invalidez. Método: estudio transversal, con una muestra de trabajadores jubilados por invalidez de universidades públicas. Se aplicó un cuestionario de caracterización y el World Health Organization Quality of Life - Disabilities mediante contacto telefónico u online desde noviembre de 2019 hasta septiembre de 2020. Los factores asociados se verificaron mediante regresión lineal múltiple. Resultados: de los 80 jubilados por invalidez, el 15% era docente y el 85% era técnico-administrativo. OBJECTIVES: to describe a technological innovation in the development of an individual, ergonomic, sustainable and effective occupational respiratory protection mask for workers exposed to surgical smoke. METHODS: applied, exploratory, quantitative research, using design methods and tools: Sense Intent, Know Context, Know People, Frame Insights, Explore Concepts, Frame Solutions, Realize Offerings, in addition to the Product Development Process tools. It was developed from March 2019 to December 2021. RESULTS: from the prototyping mold, it became possible to represent the abstract to the physical, where all the concepts created in the methodological steps were implemented and the necessary adjustments were made to create the model as a technological innovation, which will have the concept for product commercialization. CONCLUSIONS: a mask for protection against surgical smoke (HeLP) was developed, from the design step to the prototype development, being a technological innovation.

OBJECTIVE: To verify the factors associated with the type of work activity performed by university technical-administrative staff retired due to disability. METHOD: Cross-sectional research with 68 workers, conducted using an electronic questionnaire between November 2019 and September 2020. Data were collected on sociodemographic, occupational characterization and causes of disability. Data were analyzed descriptively and by multiple logistic regressions. RESULTS: Health professionals were more likely to have mental and behavioral disorders, associated with females and regardless of age. The chances of the nervous system diseases were higher in workers who performed administrative work, being associated with higher education. Operational employees were more likely to have musculoskeletal diseases associated with primary and secondary education and were male, regardless of age. CONCLUSION: There was an association between work activity performed before retirement and the diseases responsible for disability, with differences between gender, age, and educational levels.

Objetivou-se identificar as estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas pelos gestores da Atenção Primária à Saúde durante a pandemia da Covid-19. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, realizado com 10 profissionais da Atenção Primária à Saúde do município de Ibiporã, localizado no Norte do estado do Paraná. Foram realizadas entrevistas individuais, semiestruturadas, audiogravadas, transcritas na íntegra e submetidas ao Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo, adotando como referencial teórico a Teoria das Representações Sociais. As questões que permearam a identificação das estratégias de enfrentamento adotadas pelos gestores abrangeram quatro ideias centrais: questionamentos acerca dos sentimentos frente à experiência em ser gestor durante a Covid-19; tomada de decisões sobre a reorganização dos serviços frente à Covid-19; principais dificuldades e limitações durante o processo de trabalho; e estratégias pessoais e profissionais que auxiliaram no enfrentamento da Covid-19 enquanto gestor municipal de saúde. Verificou-se que a busca pelas estratégias de enfrentamento deu-se pelos sentimentos de desconhecimento acerca da Covid-19, o que desencadeou medo, cansaço e estresse nos gestores e equipes de saúde, com a necessidade de planejamento e readequações no processo de trabalho. As principais estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas pelos gestores foram: diálogo com a equipe, escuta ativa, apoio dos familiares e momentos de oração.
The objective was to identify the management strategies used by Primary Health Care managers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a qualitative study, carried out with 10 professionals from Primary Health Care in the city of Ibiporã, located in the north of the State of Paraná. interviews, semi-structured audios, transcribed in full-recording and presented for individual Discourse Representations, transcribed in integral theory and presented as Social Discourse Representations were referenced. The questions that permeate the identification of the four management strategies planned by the managers cover central: questions about the feelings facing the experience of being Covid-19; decision-making on the reorganization of services in the face of Covid-19; main difficulties and guarantees during the work process; and personal and professional strategies that help face Covid-19 as a municipal health manager. It was found that fear seeks coping strategies, due to feelings of ignorance about Covid-19, which triggered fatigue and stress in managers and health teams, with the need for planning and readjustments in the work process. The main coping strategies used by the managers were: dialogue with the team, active listening, support from family members and moments of prayer.

Método: Protocolo de revisão sistemática segundo o Manual Cochrane, onde utilizará o anagrama PICOS para Patient, Intervention, Comparator, Outcomes e Study design no desenvolvimento da pesquisa. Serão consultadas as plataformas: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, banco de dados produzido pela Associação Americana de Psicologia, banco de dados da Elsevier, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials e a base da Clarivate Analytics. Resultados: Serão apresentados em forma narrativa, com esquemas, tabelas e quadros. Conclusão: O protocolo de pesquisa garante o rigor metodológico do processo de revisão. Introduction: The human body expresses the injuries resulting from psychic workloads by the occupational diseases, mainly in health workers, who are directly linked to the patients. Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence available in the literature about the use of digital resources to promote the mental health of health workers who will be then considered for this study (all who had had direct contact with patients). Method: this is a systematic review protocol that follows the Cochrane manual and that will use the PICOS anagram for Patient, Intervention, Comparator, Outcomes and Study design during the development of the research. The following platforms will be consulted: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, a database produced by the American Psychological Association, Elsevier's database, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (a foundation of Clarivate Analytics). Results: The results will be presented in narrative form, with graphs, tables and charts. Conclusion: The research protocol guarantees the methodological rigor of the review process. In this way, it is expected to find evidence of interventions through digital means that promote the mental health of the worker.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate a comic book for the adult population about prevention and first aid for burns. METHOD: Applied quantitative research conducted at a university hospital, guided by the Social Cognitive Theory. A comic book was developed, followed by Content Validation with 12 experts and Semantic Validation with 30 adults. The Educational Content Validation Instrument in Health and Suitability Assessment of Materials were used for data collection and the analysis was carried out by Content Validity Index, with a minimum of 0.8. RESULTS: The final version has ten pages, both printed and virtual form. The overall agreement rate was 0.963 in content and 0.987 in semantics. The main adjustments were in the language and layout of the cover. CONCLUSION: The levels of agreement were satisfactory, determining the validity of the Comic Book, configuring it as a simple and accessible resource for health education about burns for adults.

Understanding the distribution of dogs in the environment is relevant for establishing human and animal health actions. In the present study, we analyzed the influence of community feeders and commercial food outlets on the spatial distribution of free-roaming dogs in an urban area of a municipality in Southeast Brazil. The dogs were identified via photographic capture and recapture performed over five sampling efforts. The spatial densities of dogs were determined using the Kernel method. Spatial correlations between the distribution of free-roaming dogs and the locations of community feeders and commercial food outlets were analyzed using the K function. During the study, 1207 captures/recaptures were performed encompassing 554 dogs, the majority (62.6%) of which were males. Agglomerations of male and female dogs were observed in the areas where food was present. Positive spatial autocorrelations were detected between the distribution of dogs and food sources. The median distances between dogs and community feeders or commercial food outlets were 1.2 and 1.4 km, respectively, and the difference between these two was statistically significant. The presence of community feeders and food outlets demonstrates the influence of human activity, on the spatial distribution of free-roaming dogs. These results will be useful for developing strategies aimed at the improvement of animal welfare and the prevention of zoonoses.

OBJECTIVE: to analyze quality of life and factors associated among public university employees retired due to disabilities. METHOD: a cross-sectional study conducted with a sample of public university employees retired due to disabilities. A characterization questionnaire and the World Health Organization Quality of Life - Disabilities instrument were applied via telephone or online contacts from November 2019 to September 2020. The associated factors were verified through multiple linear regression. RESULTS: of the 80 retirees due to disability, 15% were professors and 85% had a technical-administrative career. As for the factors associated with Quality of Life, continuous medication use (ßadj: -0.25; p=0.02) and problems in the nervous system (ßadj: -0.21; p<0.05) were associated with the Overall domain; continuous medication use (ßadj: -0.23; p=0.04), to the Physical domain; smoking (ßadj: -0.21; p<0.05) and mental and behavioral disorders (ßadj: -0.21; p<0.01), to the Psychological domain; smoking (ßadj: -0.46; p<0.01) and respiratory (ßadj: -0.21; p=0.03) and circulatory (ßadj: -0.21; p=0.03) problems, to the Social domain; smoking (ßadj: -0.33; p<0.01) and problems in the nervous system (ßadj: -0.22; p=0.04), to the Environmental domain; mental and behavioral disorders, to the Disabilities module (ßadj: -0.29; p<0.01) and to the Discrimination domain (ßadj: -0.21; p<0.05); and smoking (ßadj: -0.32; p<0.01) and problems in the nervous system (ßadj: -0.20; p<0.05), to the Inclusion domain. The Autonomy domain did not present any association. CONCLUSION: the retirees under study presented impaired Quality of Life.

Bioreactors can perform biochemical conversions mediated by biocatalysts, such as enzymes, animal cells, plants, and microorganisms. Among several existing models, airlift bioreactors are devices with the low shear environment and good mass transfer with low energy consumption, employed in several biochemical processes. The fluid flow is enabled through air injection by the sparger located at the bioreactor base. Despite its simple geometry compared with the conventional bioreactors, airlift performance can be optimized via geometrical modifications. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of the addition of helical flow promoters, positioned in the riser and/or downcomer regions of an airlift of concentric tubes measuring the volumetric oxygen coefficient (kLa) and gas holdup. The results obtained by varying the gas flow rate from 1.0 to 4.0 vvm allowed the system evaluation of oxygen transfer and gas holdup. The inclusion of helical flow promoters increased the kLa, reaching up to 23% in oxygen transfer compared to tests without helicoids and up to 14% increase in the gas holdup. The inclusion of helical flow promotors was beneficial for all gas flow rates. Thus, including these flow promoters is an effective strategy to increase the oxygen transfer rate for bioprocess optimization.

RESUMEN Objetivo: Verificar los factores asociados al tipo de trabajo desempeñado por trabajadores universitarios técnico-administrativos jubilados por invalidez. Método: Studio transversal con 68 trabajadores, realizada mediante cuestionario electrónico entre noviembre de 2019 y septiembre de 2020. Se recolectaron datos sociodemográficos, ocupacionales y causas de discapacidad. Los datos se analizaron de forma descriptiva y mediante regresiones logísticas múltiples. Resultados: Los profesionales de la salud tenían mayor probabilidad de presentar trastornos mentales y del comportamiento, asociados al sexo femenino e independientemente de la edad. Las posibilidades de enfermedades del sistema nervioso fueron mayores en los trabajadores que realizaban labores administrativas. Los servidores operativos tenían más probabilidades de tener enfermedades musculoesqueléticas asociadas a la educación primaria y secundaria y eran del sexo masculino, independientemente de la edad. Conclusión: Hubo asociación entre el trabajo realizado antes de la jubilación y las enfermedades responsables de la invalidez, con diferencias entre sexo, edad y nivel educativo.
RESUMO Objetivo: Verificar os fatores associados ao tipo de atividade laboral exercida por trabalhadores técnico-administrativos universitários aposentados por invalidez. Método: Pesquisa transversal com 68 trabalhadores, realizada por meio de questionário eletrônico entre novembro de 2019 e setembro de 2020. Foram coletados dados sobre a caracterização sociodemográfica, ocupacional e causas da invalidez. Os dados foram analisados descritivamente e por regressões logísticas múltiplas. Resultados: Os profissionais da saúde tiveram mais chances de apresentarem os transtornos mentais e comportamentais, associados ao sexo feminino e independentemente da idade. As chances de doenças do sistema nervoso foram maiores em trabalhadores que exerceram trabalho administrativo, sendo associadas ao ensino superior. Servidores operacionais apresentaram maiores chances de doenças osteomusculares associadas ao ensino fundamental e médio e ao sexo masculino, independentemente da idade. Conclusão: Houve associação da atividade laboral exercida anteriormente à aposentadoria com as doenças responsáveis pela invalidez, com diferenças entre sexo, idade e níveis educacionais.

Objetivo: identificar as percepções dos trabalhadores do centro cirúrgico quanto ao uso da máscara N95 como Equipamento de Proteção Individual em relação à fumaça cirúrgica. Método: pesquisa qualitativa mediante entrevistas áudio-gravadas, com nove trabalhadores do Centro Cirúrgico de um hospital no norte do Paraná, Brasil. Questionou-se: qual a percepção dos trabalhadores expostos à fumaça cirúrgica em relação ao uso das máscaras N95? Foi utilizada a técnica de análise de conteúdo. Resultados: o estudo revela a fragilidade do conhecimento dos profissionais sobre a utilização da máscara N95 e sobre os riscos que estão expostos durante sua jornada de trabalho, quando expostos à fumaça cirúrgica. Assim como o desconforto pelo uso da máscara. Conclusão: sugere-se capacitação aos profissionais da saúde expostos à fumaça cirúrgica, onde possa ser esclarecido sobre o uso de Equipamento de Proteção Individual de forma correta e sua importância na prevenção para o desenvolvimento de doenças ocupacionais.
Objetivo: identificar las percepciones de los trabajadores del centro quirúrgico en cuanto al uso de la máscara N95 como Equipo de Protección Individual en relación al humo quirúrgico. Método: investigación cualitativa mediante entrevistas audio-grabadas, con nueve trabajadores del Centro Quirúrgico de un hospital en el norte de Paraná, Brasil. Se preguntó: ¿cuál es la percepción de los trabajadores expuestos al humo quirúrgico con respecto al uso de las máscaras N95? Se utilizó la técnica de análisis de contenido. Resultados: el estudio revela la fragilidad del conocimiento de los profesionales sobre la utilización de la máscara N95 y sobre los riesgos que están expuestos durante su jornada de trabajo, cuando están expuestos al humo quirúrgico. Así como la incomodidad por el uso de la máscara. Conclusión: se sugiere capacitación a los profesionales de la salud expuestos a humo quirúrgico, donde pueda ser esclarecido sobre el uso de Equipo de Protección Individual de forma correcta y su importancia en la prevención para el desarrollo de enfermedades ocupacionales.
Objective: to identify the perceptions of surgical center workers regarding the use of the N95 mask as Personal Protection Equipment in relation to surgical smoke. Method: qualitative research through audio-recorded interviews with nine workers from the Surgical Center of a hospital in northern Paraná, Brazil. It was questioned: what is the perception of workers exposed to surgical smoke in relation to the use of N95 masks? The technique of content analysis was used. Results: the study reveals the fragility of professionals' knowledge about the use of the N95 mask and the risks they are exposed during their working day, when exposed to surgical smoke. As well as discomfort from wearing the mask. Conclusion: training for health professionals exposed to surgical smoke is suggested, where it can be clarified about the use of Personal Protective Equipment correctly and its importance in preventing the development of occupational diseases.

The permanence of a dog in a household is relevant in terms of public health and animal welfare because it implies that the animal is receiving better care and is unlikely to be abandoned. We have performed a survey in a medium-sized city in southeastern Brazil in order to identify predictors associated with the non-permanence of dogs in households as determined one year after the first visit. During the first of two visits to randomly selected domiciles, guardians were asked to complete a structured questionnaire regarding the traits and history of each dog in the household, features of the domicile, characteristics of the guardian and adherence to the principles of responsible companion animal guardianship (RCAG). A second visit to each domicile was performed one year later in order to establish in loco whether the dog still resided in the domicile and, where appropriate, to apply a further questionnaire concerning the fate of the missing animal. The total sample population comprised 513 dogs, of which 98 (19.1%) were verified as no longer resident in the domicile on the occasion of the second visit. Of the absent dogs, 59 had died as a result of fights with stray animals, traffic accidents, diseases or old age, 13 had been sent to alternative addresses, 8 had been donated to third parties and 7 had escaped from the domicile. The fates of the remaining 11 animals were not divulged by the guardians. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the risk of non-permanence was significantly higher (p < 0.05) among male dogs, those that were infested with ticks, had free access to the streets or resided in domiciles near a wooded area, but was significantly lower among wormed and neutered dogs. The adoption of RCAG principles is associated with the permanence of dogs in households and, consequently, in reduction of the stray population, animal well-being and prevention of zoonoses. On this basis, it is important to raise awareness about the concepts of RCAG and to strengthen accountability of guardians that do not take proper care of their animals.
