The cutaneous Iymphadenoma is a cutaneous neoplasm formed by lobes of basaloid cells, with peripheral palisading, with a fibrous stroma, and a prominent Iymphoid infiltrate. Typically it affects people of middle or advanced age and it is located mainly in the face. We think that in spite of their controversial histogenesis our cases show a clear follicular differentiation. These tumours show a peculiar immunologic reaction with the presence of T-Iymphocytes and dendritic cells inside the lobes which help us to carry out the differential diagnoses of neoplasms like the trichoblastoma, desmoplastic trichoepitheloma, basal cell carcinomas or syringomas (AU)

RESUMEN

Actinomycosis is a rare chronic infectious disease that usually develops abscesses and fistulas. It can also mimic other diseases such as cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases or diverticulitis. We present the case of a 67-year-old woman with an unusual form of actinomycosis. Clinically, the disease simulated an inflammatory bowel disease. Computerized axial tomography, intestinal transit and colonoscopy were performed and the suspected 1 diagnosis continued to be inflammatory bowel disease. The definitive diagnosis was made after histopathological study of the surgical specimen. We highlight the diagnostic difficulty of this rare disease and the importance of prolonged antibiotic treatment.

RESUMEN

Epidermoid carcinomas account for 9 to 17% of primitive pyelocaliceal tumours. Key predisposing factor are infections and lithiasis, pre-operative diagnosis being difficult due to insidious growth and absence of pathognomonic syndrome. The paper introduces one case of epidermoid pyelocaliceal carcinoma where diagnosis was supported by intravenous urography, ultrasound and CAT, and where the catheter-obtained cytology was definite in terms of diagnostic value. Ureteropyeloscopy can be a crucial examination in case of diagnostic doubt. Choice therapy is nephroureterectomy with vesical collar resection when the tumour's anatomical state or the subtotal nephrectomy allow it. Prognosis of these tumours is very poor, mean survival of patients being of about 4 months. Our patient died one month after surgery.

RESUMEN

Presentation of one case of metastatic renal adenocarcinoma with iliac bone and soft parts involvement which presented as a lumbosciatic picture. A comment is made on the different diseases which can result in painful lumbar syndrome, reaching an agreement on the need to conduct more extensive studies given the lack of response to standard medical treatment.

RESUMEN

Lymphomas comprise a group of diseases of the lymphoreticular system arising from any of the cellular elements of lymph nodes, but they can also affect other organs or systems such as the urogenital system. This is the normal process, but there exist some diseases diagnosed as lymphomas within the urogenital system with no evidence of generalized involvement that are classified as primary lymphomas. We analyzed the different urogenital tract organs that may be affected, with special reference to the most interesting aspects of this pathology. Furthermore, two cases of testicular lymphoma are described. In one of them, testicular involvement was the presenting feature of lymphomatosis. The other case was a patient with a diagnosed prostatic adenocarcinoma. The diagnosis was made on the pathological findings of the orchidectomy specimen. The outcome was poor in both cases.

RESUMEN

We report a case of colloid carcinoma of the prostate, a rare tumor type whose diagnosis is exclusively based on the anatomopathological findings. The case described herein is a primary prostatic tumor. Patient work up revealed no tumor localized to other organs. The total acid phosphatase and prostate acid phosphatase levels were elevated. Subsequent analyses revealed metastases.
