[Organization of medical support for troops, defending Leningrad and the people of the blockaded city].

The data on the composition of forces of medical services and organization of medical-evacuation support for troops defending the blockaded Leningrad are presented. The information about the health losses among the population of Leningrad as a result of bombing, shelling and disease is given. Extremely high rates of morbidity and mortality in residents were associated with hunger, hypothermia and emotional stress. The clinical picture of some diseases has different peculiarities because of alimentary dystrophy background. The city health service suffered huge losses: 482 medical institutions were destroyed, only about 300 people from 1.5 thousand of medical personnel in 1942 saved working capability. The health care service of the local air defense played an essential role in delivery of medical aid. The contribution of civil and military health workers in saving residents lives in the blockaded Leningrad was appreciated.

[Famous scientist in the area of military-medical geography (to the 100th anniversary of the birth of A.A. Shoshin)].

The articale is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of famous domestic scientist in the area of military-medical geography, organization of health care and pedagogy, laureate of USSR state prize, Ph.D.Med, professor colonel of medical service Aleksei Alekseevich Shoshin (1913-1978). In 1953 he published his study guide "Short course in military-medical geography" and determined aims and tasks of course, clued peculiarities of the influence of physiographic conditions on health, sanitary status and medical support of the forces; gave military medical-geographic characteristics of the main landscape zones and methodology of territory research for possible unit sites. In 1962 AN USSR Publisher published his monograph "Principle of medical geography". In 1964 was published his book "Military-medical geography". In January 1966 A.A.Shoshin was elected as Head of social hygiene and public health organization Chair of the Leningrad pediatric medical institute. He chaired till the end of his life.

The result of scientific study was mathematical basis selected and adjusted for the nine criteria of the most effective alternative version of the implementation of the system to assist injured with fractures of long bones. On the basis of information was developed the concept of trauma service of Defense Ministry of Russia.

The article is devoted to the life journey and professional activity of Lipa Avrumovich Khodorkov, one of the most famous organizer of native military medicine. Great attention is paid to his work in office as a chief of medical-evacuation headquarter of the Main army medical department of the Red Forces during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. Stages of service of L.A. Khodorkov in offices as a deputy chief of the Main army medical department, hief medical officer of Baltic military district, chief of Department of training of physicians (for Missile Forces and Army) of Military-medical Academy n. a. S.M. Kirov and his actiity as a instructor of faculty of organization and tacticts of medical service of the academy.

This article evaluates military and political situation in the world and operational-strategic environment on the West Theater of operations on the eve of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). We analyze structure and overall condition of sanitary service of West Special Military District of the Workers and Peasants Red Army and causes of failure of mobilization, organization and deployment of military units and establishments from the beginning of aggression of Fascist Germany to the Soviet Union.

[Information technology in the management of medical support NATO's force].

The analysis of various control systems of troops (forces) of NATO's force is performed. It is shown that much experience in building automated control systems for operational and strategic level as the rear, and medical services. [Functional status of organism in the process of routine military-professional activity in women serving in armed forces].

The functional status of 143 female soldiers the Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are studied in order to predict the success of the military profession (CPA) through the use of a set of psychological and socio-psychological methods. [Medical standards of dispensary guarantee of call-up aged persons by ambulatory stomatological aid].

The article presents results of epidemiological research of dental morbidity among persons of call-up age and indexes of their need in different types of dental aid. Were calculated medical standards for dispensary supply, elaborated propositions in standard of medical survey of persons of call-up age on specialization "stomatology" during registering on military registration and proximately during the call-up on military service in determination of fitness for military service. These data could be used in improvement of organizational structure of dental institutes of Health Ministry of social development of the Russian Federation.
