Articulando os espaços privado e público: gênero e famílias monoparentais femininas / Articulating the private and public area: female monorelatives families and gender

Esta pesquisa visa a compreender a dimensão socioespacial da reorganização das famílias de baixa renda, após a dissolução conjugal, em Ponta Grossa – PR. Tem como prioridade a análise das famílias monoparentais femininas de baixa renda, com filhos entre 0 e 14 anos, residentes na área urbana. Para cumprir as metas de trabalho, foram investigados os arquivos da 2ª Vara de Família, a partir de processos de Divórcio, Separação e Alimentos, no período entre 2003 e 2007. Como resultados da pesquisa, evidenciou-se que o acesso à justiça, pelas mulheres de baixa renda, é limitado e há incompatibilidades entre dinâmicas sociais e políticas de Estado e as demandas da sociedade contemporânea, bem como o desamparo relacionado à infância pobre. This research seeks to comprehend the social and spacial dimensions of the reorganization of low-income families after the conjugal dissolution in the city of Ponta Grossa, PR. It prioritizes analysis of female monorelative low- income families with underage children in the urban area. To achieve the project goals, files from the Family Court were screened and classified by divorce, separation and child support lawsuits between 2003 and 2007. It was demonstrated, as a result of this research, that the access to justice by low- income women is limited and there is incoherence between social and policy dynamics of the State, and the contemporary societal needs. It was also observed disregard for poor childhood. (AU)

Espaço urbano, poder e gênero: uma análise da vivência travesti / Urban space, power and gender: an analysis of the transvestite's life style

O texto tem por objetivo explorar a relação entre espaço urbano, poder e gênero, por meio da vivência de pessoas que se autodefinem travestis na cidade de Ponta Grossa- PR. Através da colaboração de treze pessoas que realizaram relatos de sua vivência urbana, foi evidenciado que a cidade é experienciada de diferentes formas por diversos grupos sociais que produzem o espaço urbano de forma a tensionar a hegemonia da heterossexualidade compulsória. As identidades das travestis são instituídas por suas espacialidades, assim como o espaço é instituído por suas identidades. Nesse sentido, o espaço urbano é paradoxal, plurilocalizado e multidimensional, possibilitando tanto a hegemonia heteronormativa como a resistência aos poderes pretensamente naturalizados da ordem de gênero. The article aims at exploring the relationship between urban space, power and gender through the experience of people who define themselves as transvestites and whose empirical object of analysis is the city of Ponta Grossa, state of Paraná. Thirteen people who have collaborated in accomplishing reports of their urban experience revealed that the city has experimented with different ways of diverse social groups that produce urban space in order to tighten the hegemony of compulsory heterosexuality. The identities of the transvestites are established by its spatialities and the space is organized by its identities as well. In this sense, urban space is paradoxical,multilocated and multidimensional, enabling both the heteronormative hegemony and resistance to the powers supposedly naturalized to the gender order. (AU)
