RESUMEN
A technology for the toxicological monitoring of chemical poisoning cases in Moscow is described. Its results over 2002-2006 are presented. The distribution of poisonings by causes, gender, and age, pattern, and occurrence circumstances is analyzed. A number of difficulties arising from the filling toxicological monitoring record form No. 58-1/y are discussed. The problems facing the participants of monitoring are given.

The paper presents the results of toxicological and sanitary-chemical studies of domestic and imported products subject to sanitary-and-epidemiological assessment. It shows the groups of products that are currently the greatest potential danger to health in terms of toxicological and hygienic parameters. Recommendations are given on programs for manufacturing control over the observance of sanitary rules and the antiepidemic (preventive) actions at the enterprises engaged in the production and turnover of social consumer goods.

The reflex and resorptive effects of crotonaldehyde was studied. The maximum acceptable concentration (MAC) of crotonaldehyde was established to be 0.025 mg/m3, the mean daily MAC recommended to be 0.003 mg/m3, Hazard Class 2. It was shown that nasopharyngeal mucosal morphological changes in laboratory animals might serve as significant criteria for the action of the agent having an irritant effect.

The threshold irritable concentration of 2-allyl oxyethanol (2-AOE) in ambient air was determined at the level of 0.68 mg/m3. The threshold of chronic effect of 2-AOE is 0.075 mg/m3. The mean daily permissible concentration of 2-AOE is suggested at the level of 0.01 mg/m3.
