RESUMEN

This study investigated the effects of ultrasound-assisted water thawing (UWT) at different power levels (0, 100, 150, 200, and 250 W) on the thawing rate and gel properties of frozen tofu made using three different salt coagulants (CaCl2, CaSO4, and MgCl2). Tofu produced with CaCl2 and CaSO4 elicited gel structures with dense and homogeneous networks, while that with MgCl2 had rough pores and irregular networks. UWT treatment significantly decreased thawing time by 30.9-53.5% compared to the control. Water holding capacity and scanning electron microscopy analyses demonstrated that UWT-100, UWT-150, and UWT-200 should be used to increase the amount of fixed water for CaCl2, CaSO4, and MgCl2. These findings suggest that appropriate ultrasonic treatment could improve the water retention capacity of the tofu network and make the gel network structure more compact. Additionally, protein structural analysis showed a decrease in the exposure of hydrophobic groups and reduced protein denaturation when tofu prepared with all the coagulants were thawed with UWT energies of 100-200 W ultrasonication. These findings offer theoretical support for improving the frozen tofu thawing process while ensuring optimal final product quality.

RESUMEN

Intestinal metaplasia refers to the replacement of the differentiated and mature normal mucosal epithelium outside the intestinal tract by the intestinal epithelium. This paper briefly describes the etiology and clinical significance of intestinal metaplasia in Barrett's esophagus. This article summarizes the impact of intestinal metaplasia on the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of Barrett's esophagus according to different guidelines. We also briefly explore the basis for the endoscopic diagnosis of intestinal metaplasia in Barrett's esophagus. The identification techniques of goblet cells in Barrett's esophagus are also elucidated by some scholars. Additionally, we further elaborate on the current treatment methods related to Barrett's esophagus.

RESUMEN

Numerous types of molecular mechanisms mediate the development of cancer. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are being increasingly recognized to play important role in mediating the development of diseases, including cancer. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) are the two most widely studied ncRNAs. Thus far, lncRNAs are known to have biological roles through a variety of mechanisms, including genetic imprinting, chromatin remodeling, cell cycle control, splicing regulation, mRNA decay and translational regulation, and miRNAs regulate gene expression through the degradation of mRNAs and lncRNAs. Although ncRNAs account for a major proportion of the total RNA, the mechanisms underlying the physiological or pathological processes mediated by various types of ncRNAs, and the specific interaction mechanisms between miRNAs and lncRNAs in various physiological and pathological processes, remain largely unknown. Thus, further research in this field is required. In general, the interaction mechanisms between miRNAs and lncRNAs in human cancer have become important research topics, and the study thereof has led to the recent development of related technologies. By providing examples and descriptions, and performing chart analysis, the present study aimed to review the interaction mechanisms and research approaches for these two types of ncRNAs, as well as their roles in the occurrence and development of cancer. These details have far-reaching significance for the utilization of these molecules in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

RESUMEN

Esophageal cancer is a malignant digestive tract cancer with high mortality. Although studies have found that esophageal cancer is involved in a complex and important gene regulation network, the pathogenesis remains unclear. The recently described long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are one effective part of the gene regulation network. However, in past decades, lncRNAs were thought to be "transcript noise" or "pseudogenes" and were thus ignored. Early studies indicated that lncRNAs play pivotal roles during evolution. However, in recent years, increasing research has revealed that many lncRNAs are associated with tumorigenesis. In particular, lncRNAs may act as important elements for epigenetic regulation, transcription, post-transcriptional regulation and post-translational modification of proteins. Additionally, they may be novel biomarkers for tumors and therapeutic targets in cancer. Here, we summarize the functions of lncRNAs in esophageal cancer, with an emphasis on lncRNA-mediated regulatory mechanisms that affect the biological characteristics of esophageal cancer.

RESUMEN

This paper researches the stability of the nonlinear system taking the hydraulic system of double-side rolling shear as an example. The hydraulic system of double-side rolling shear uses unsymmetrical electro-hydraulic proportional servo valve to control the cylinder with single piston rod, which can make best use of the space and reduce reversing shock. It is a typical nonlinear structure. The nonlinear state-space equations of the unsymmetrical valve controlling cylinder system are built first, and the second Lyapunov method is used to evaluate its stability. Second, the software AMEsim is applied to simulate the nonlinear system, and the results indicate that the system is stable. At last, the experimental results show that the system unsymmetrical valve controlling the cylinder with single piston rod is stable and conforms to what is deduced by theoretical analysis and simulation. The construction and application of Lyapunov function not only provide the theoretical basis for using of unsymmetrical valve controlling cylinder with single piston rod but also develop a new thought for nonlinear stability evaluation.
