RESUMEN

Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams (CRHTTs) provide 24-hour, seven day per week support for people in crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has placed significant demand on urgent care and increased the need for brief interventions in CRHTT settings with flexible methods of delivery. This evaluation aimed to examine client satisfaction with the 'Crisis Toolbox' (CTB), a brief, skills-based intervention delivered in one CRHTT during COVID-19. All participants who received the CTB completed a satisfaction questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were calculated to quantify acceptability and qualitative themes were generated using thematic analysis. Fifty-eight people participated, all of whom reported high levels of satisfaction with the CTB. Four qualitative themes also emerged relating to 'Active ingredients of the CTB', 'The therapeutic relationship', 'Service-user preferences' and 'Expectations and continuity of care'. The CTB appears to be a valued intervention. Further research is now needed to assess its clinical impact and effect on operational indicators.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: We do not yet know how best to design, implement, and use health information technology (IT). A comprehensive framework that captures knowledge on the implementation, use, and optimization of health IT will help guide more effective approaches in the future. METHODS: The authors conducted a targeted review of existing literature on health IT implementation and use, including health IT-related theories and models. By crosswalking elements of current theories and models, the authors identified five major facets of an organizational framework that provides a structure to organize and capture information on the implementation and use of health IT. RESULTS: The authors propose a novel organizational framework for health IT implementation and use with five major facets: technology, use, environment, outcomes, and temporality. Each major facet is described in detail along with associated categories and measures. CONCLUSION: The proposed framework is an essential first step toward ensuring a more consistent and comprehensive understanding of health IT implementation and use and a more rigorous approach to data collection, measurement development, and theory building.

RESUMEN

This publication represents the quality of health care received by the people of the United States falls far short of what it should be. There is a gap between the health care services that should be provided based on current professional knowledge and technology and those that many patients actually receive. It is clear that all resources are not used effectively or safety. Study after study documents are overuse of many services-the provisions of services when the potential for harm overweighs possible benefits. At the same time studies also documents underuse of other services-the failure to provide services from which the patient would likely have benefited.
