RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Dangke is a traditional food product sourced from high-quality cow's milk from Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The nutrients contained in Dangke are a source of calories needed by the body and can help meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women. The present study was conducted to validate the organoleptic instrument of Deppamil Dangke through validity, reliability, and factor analysis; the organoleptic test of Deppamil Dangke was carried out. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This type of research is a mix method with an explanatory sequential design approach. Qualitative analysis was done using Atlas Ti software. RESULTS: The results of the instrument validation showed a reliable level of instrument validity with Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin results (0.747), and the Cronbach's coefficient alpha values of each of the two types of Deppamil Dangke were 0.84 and 0.91. Exploratory factor analysis identified two main factors using the varimax rotation and excluded items with a factor loading below 0.3, which included taste (2 items), color (2 items), aroma (2 items), and texture (2 items), which explains 52.7% of the general variance of the Deppamil Dangke organoleptic test. The confirmatory factor analysis results showed that the factor structure of the Deppamil Dangke organoleptic instrument matched the data (CFI = 0.948, TLI = 0.936, RMSEA = 0.069, and WRMSR = 0.891). The factor loading of the model ranged from 0.691 to 0.825 and was statistically significant. The organoleptic test results of the Deppamil Dangke on 30 panelists of pregnant women showed that pregnant women really liked the taste as much as 63.3%, texture as much as 53.3%, and color as much as 50%, and those who really liked the aroma were as much as 46.7%. CONCLUSION: Recommendation: Deppamil Dangke is liked by pregnant women and is very suitable to be used as an additional food product for pregnant women. It is necessary to make changes and innovations from the Dangke Deppamil product in terms of both texture and appearance and especially in the variety of flavors so that pregnant women can choose flavors according to their wishes and needs.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: This study aims to identify scientific evidence and knowledge currently available related to clinical laboratory management in the face of disasters with the literature review method. METHOD: This is a literature review study. Various references were collected from online databases, including reports, scientific journals, and books in the last ten years. Articles are screened according to the research objectives. The keywords used are laboratories, hospitals, disasters, Point of Care Testing (POCT). RESULTS: POCT is defined as the tools of a laboratory diagnostic test used in a disaster situation effectively. It can be operated by anyone who has been trained. However, it is quite constrained by temperature, earthquake shocks, and battery life. Storage and reagents supply, such as the strip test, might be prepare before the disaster. Moreover, maintenance and validation of POCT tools in disaster preparation is necessary. Hospitals must prepare POCT to conquer the limitation of electricity sources, human resources, and buildings situation was using a laboratory diagnostic analyzer not possible. The POCT was suitable to be conveyed anywhere both within the hospital and to disaster sites using the vehicle. CONCLUSION: POCT has the enormous potential as an emergency laboratory examination tool both at the hospital and at the disaster site to grip patient safety.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: Knowing the effectiveness of peer tutoring methods in pharmacology learning for medical students. METHOD: This was a quasi-experimental study with a post-test only design. Subjects were second-year medical students who were divided into four control groups and four experimental groups. Students in the experimental group experienced peer tutoring methods. The difference in motivation and performance scores in both groups was analyzed using t-tests. RESULTS: Motivation in the experimental group was higher than in the control group, for interest motivation (79.09±13.11 vs 75.24±13.46; p=0.411), value motivation (80.89±11.57 vs 76.54±12.20; p=0.292), perceived motivation (66.26±7.44 vs 666.20±10.09; p=0.977), and as well as total (76.33±9.33 vs 73.31±10.30; p=0.159). The performance score in the control group was higher than the treatment group (60.45±6.39 vs 60.67±4.72; p=0.649). CONCLUSION: Quality control, monitoring, and evaluation are required to produce an effective peer tutoring program. One of which is through rigorous peer tutor recruitment, tutor training, and ensuring the commitment of the peer tutors.
