RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a highly aggressive form of brain cancer. This study investigated the clinical predictive value of heat shock protein ß1 (HSPB1) in patients with GBM. METHODS: A correlation was established between HSPB1 expression and GBM progression using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset, Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas dataset, Gene Expression Omnibus dataset, and Human Protein Atlas database. A survival analysis was conducted and an HSPB1-based nomogram was constructed to evaluate the prognostic value of HSPB1 in patients with GBM. RESULTS: Based on TCGA data mining, we discovered that HSPB1 was significantly elevated in patients with GBM and may reflect their response to immunotherapy. In survival analysis, it appeared to have a predictive role in the prognosis of patients with GBM. Five signaling pathways were significantly enriched in the high HSPB1 expression phenotype according to the gene set enrichment analysis. In addition, a significant association was found between HSPB1 expression and immune checkpoints, tumor immune infiltration, tumor immune microenvironment, and immune cell markers in glioma. Overall, our results suggest that HSPB1 may regulate the function of immune cells, serve as a new immunotherapy target, and predict the response to immunotherapy in patients with GBM. CONCLUSION: HSPB1 appears to serve as a potential predictor of the clinical prognosis and response to immunotherapy in patients with GBM. It may be possible to identify patients who are likely to benefit from immunotherapy by assessing the expression level of HSPB1.

Cytokines have attracted sustained attention due to their multi-functional cellular response in immunotherapy. However, their application was limited to their short half-time, narrow therapeutic window, and undesired side effects. To address this issue, we developed a portable smart blue-light controlled (PSLC) device based on optogenetic technology. By combining this PSLC device with blue-light controlled gene modules, we successfully achieved the targeted regulation of cytokine expression within the tumor microenvironment. To alter the tumor microenvironment of solid tumors, pro-inflammatory cytokines were selected as blue-light controlled molecules. The results show that blue-light effectively regulates the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines both in vitro and in vivo. This strategy leads to enhanced and activated tumor-infiltrating immune cells, which facilitated to overcome the immunosuppressive microenvironment, resulting in significant tumor shrinkage in tumor-bearing mice. Hence, our study offers a unique strategy for cytokine therapy and a convenient device for animal studies in optogenetic immunotherapy.

Molting is a key solution to growth restriction in insects. The periodic synthesis and degradation of chitin, one of the major components of the insect epidermis, is necessary for insect growth. MicroRNA (miRNA) have been implicated in molting regulation, yet their involvement in the interplay interaction between the chitin synthesis pathway and 20-hydroxyecdysone signaling remains poorly understood. In this study, soluble trehalase (Tre1) and phosphoacetylglucosamine mutase (PAGM) were identified as targets of conserved miR-8-3p and miR-2a-3, respectively. The expression profiles of miR-8-3p-SfTre1 and miR-2a-3-SfPAGM exhibited an opposite pattern during the different developmental stages, indicating a negative regulatory relationship between them. This relationship was confirmed by an in vitro dual-luciferase reporter system. Overexpression of miR-8-3p and miR-2a-3 by injection of mimics inhibited the expression of their respective target genes and increased mortality, leading to death in the pre-molting, and molting death phenomena. They also caused a decrease in chitin content and expression levels of key genes in the chitin synthesis pathway (SfTre1, SfTre2, SfHK, SfG6PI, SfGFAT, SfGNA, SfPAGM, SfUAP, SfCHS1, SfCHS1a, and SfCHS1b). Conversely, the injection of miRNA inhibitors resulted in the upregulation of the expression levels of these genes. Following 20E treatment, the expression levels of miR-8-3p and miR-2a-3 decreased significantly, while their corresponding target genes increased significantly. These results indicate that miR-8-3p and miR-2a-3 play a regulatory role in the molting of Sogatella furcifera by targeting SfTre1 and SfPAGM, respectively. These findings provide new potential targets for the development of subsequent new control strategies.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic and progressive respiratory disorder characterized by poor prognosis, often presenting with acute exacerbation. The primary cause of death associated with IPF is acute exacerbation of IPF (AE-IPF). However, the pathophysiology of acute exacerbation has not been clearly elucidated yet. This study aims to investigate the underlying pathophysiological molecular mechanism in a mouse AE-PF model. C57BL/6J mice were intratracheally administered bleomycin (BLM, 5 mg/kg) to induce pulmonary fibrosis. After 14 days, lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 2 mg/kg) was injected via the trachea route. Histological assessments, including H&E and Masson staining, as well as inflammatory indicators, were included to evaluate the induction of AE-PF by BLM and LPS in mice. Transcriptomic profiling of pulmonary tissues identified CSF3 as one of the top 10 upregulated DEGs in AE-PF mice. Indeed, administration of exogenous CSF3 protein exacerbated AE-PF in mice. Mechanistically, CSF3 disrupted alveolar epithelial barrier integrity and permeability by regulating specialized cell adhesion complexes such as tight junctions (TJs) and adherens junctions (AJs) via PI3K/p-Akt/Snail pathway, contributing to the aggravation of AE-PF in mice. Moreover, the discovery of elevated sera CSF3 indicated a notable increase in IPF patients during the exacerbation of the disease. Pearson correlation analysis in IPF patients revealed significant positive associations between CSF3 levels and KL-6 levels, LDH levels, CRP levels, respectively. These results provide mechanistic insights into the role of CSF3 in exacerbating of lung fibrotic disease and indicate monitoring CSF3 levels may aid in early clinical decisions for alternative therapy in the management of rapidly progressing IPF.

This study examined the difference in volatile flavor characteristics among four different local breeds of chicken by headspace gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS) combined with multivariate analysis. In total, 65 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were identified (17 aldehydes, 12 alcohols, 7 ketones, 5 esters, 2 acids, and 22 unidentified, i.e., 26.15% aldehydes, 18.46% alcohols, 10.77% ketones, 7.69% esters, 3.08% acids, and 33.84% unidentified), of which 43 were annotated. The chicken meats from the four breeds exhibited good separation in topographic plots, VOC fingerprinting, and multivariate analysis. Meanwhile, 20 different volatile components, with variable importance in projection value > 1, were selected as potential markers to distinguish different breeds of chicken by partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA). These findings provide insights into the flavor traits of chicken meat. Also, HS-GC-IMS combined with multivariate analysis can be a convenient and powerful method for characterizing different meats.

RESUMEN

We proposed a parameter-free volume element representation that satisfies the electron counting model and obtains accurate machine learning potential energy and direct force fitting of randomly perturbed hexagonal BN. Our method preserves permutational, translational, and rotational invariance and can be extended to three-dimensional systems, verified by a system of bulk Si. As a result, we obtained 0.57 meV/atom potential energy root mean squared error (RMSE) and 59 meV/Å force RMSE for perturbed bulk BN systems and 0.43 meV/atom potential energy RMSE and 36 meV/Å force RMSE for perturbed Si systems. In addition, an unbiased perturbation-based data set construction scheme is introduced and a continuous population distribution is obtained with a training data set of 4500, which is about 1 order of magnitude smaller than standard methods based on first-principles molecular dynamics simulations and saves a large amount of computing resources. General validity of our model is verified by structure optimization, molecular dynamics simulations, and extrapolations.

Ion transport peptide (ITP), a superfamily of arthropod neuropeptides, serves a crucial role in regulating various physiological processes such as diuresis, ecdysis behavior, and wing expansion. However, the molecular characteristics, expression profile, and role of ITP in Sogatella furcifera are poorly understood. To elucidate the characteristics and biological function of ITP in S. furcifera, we employed reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and RNA interference (RNAi) methods. The identified SfITP gene encodes 117 amino acids. The expression of SfITP gradually increased followed the formation of 3-day-old of 5th instar nymph, peaking initially at 40 min after eclosion, and reaching another peak 24 h after eclosion, with particularly high expression levels in thorax and wing tissues. Notably, SfITP RNAi in 3rd instar nymphs of S. furcifera significantly inhibited the transcript levels of SfITP, resulting in 55% mortality and 78% wing deformity. These findings suggests that SfITP is involved in the regulation of wing expansion in S. furcifera, providing insights into the regulation of insect wing expansion and contributing to the molecular understanding of this process.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of surgery,chemotherapy and surgery combined chemotherapy for retinoblastoma(RB),and analyze the prognostic factors of RB patients.Methods Clinical data of 1188 RB patients registered in the Surveillance,Epidemiology and End Results(SEER)database from January 2000 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.The baseline characteristics of patients treated with surgery,chemotherapy or surgery combined with chemotherapy were balanced by inverse probability of treatment weighting(IPTW).Log-rank test analysis was used to compare the survival probability of patients in the 3 groups,and Cox regression models were used to analyse the factors influencing the prognosis of RB patients.Results A total of 1188 RB cases were included in this study,including 426 cases in surgery group,200 cases in chemotherapy group and 562 cases in surgery combined with chemotherapy group.After IPTW weighting,baseline data such as age,sex and race were balanced(P>0.05).Log-rank test results showed that the survival curves of the three groups were significantly different before and after weighting(P<0.05).After weighted,the survival of patients in surgery group was significantly better than that in chemotherapy group and surgery combined chemotherapy group(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance between chemotherapy group and surgery combined chemotherapy group(P>0.05).The weighted patient survival probability at 1st,3rd and 5th years were 99.7%,98.9%and 98.6%in surgery group;97.4%,95.8%and 95.8%in chemotherapy group;and 97.9%,95.8%and 95.0%in surgery combined chemotherapy group.Cox regression analysis showed that compared with surgery group,the specific risk ratio of death was 1.367(95%CI 1.100-1.700)in chemotherapy group and 1.132(95%CI 0.963-1.330)in combined chemotherapy group.Compared with patients with 1 RB lesion,the patient-specific mortality risk ratio for patients with 2 or more RB lesions was 0.399(95%CI 0.268-0.594).Conclusions Patients with RB have higher survival rates probability after treatment.After controlling the influence of age,sex and other factors,the effect of surgery was better among the three treatment methods.Multifocality may be an independent prognostic factor in RB patients.

OBJECTIVES@#To study the clinical features of children with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) Omicron variant infection.@*METHODS@#A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of 201 children with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) who were hospitalized and diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant infection in Quanzhou First Hospital from March 14 to April 7, 2022. Among the 201 children, there were 34 children with asymptomatic infection and 167 with symptomatic infection. The two groups were compared in terms of clinical features, results of experimental examinations, and outcome.@*RESULTS@#Of all the 201 children, 161 (80.1%) had a history of exposure to COVID-19 patients and 132 (65.7%) had a history of COVID-19 vaccination. Among the 167 children with symptomatic infections, 151 had mild COVID-19 and 16 had common COVID-19, with no severe infection or death. Among the 101 children who underwent chest CT examination, 16 had ground glass changes and 20 had nodular or linear opacities. The mean time to nucleic acid clearance was (14±4) days for the 201 children with Omicron variant infection, and the symptomatic infection group had a significantly longer time than the asymptomatic infection group [(15±4) days vs (11±4) days, P<0.05]. The group vaccinated with one or two doses of COVID-19 vaccine had a significantly higher positive rate of IgG than the group without vaccination (P<0.05). The proportions of children with increased blood lymphocyte count in the symptomatic infection group was significantly lower than that in the asymptomatic infection group (P<0.05). Compared with the asymptomatic infection group, the symptomatic infection group had significantly higher proportions of children with increased interleukin-6, increased fibrinogen, and increased D-dimer (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#Most of the children with Omicron variant infection have clinical symptoms, which are generally mild. The children with symptomatic infection are often accompanied by decreased or normal blood lymphocyte count and increased levels of interleukin-6, fibrinogen, and D-dimer, with a relatively long time to nucleic acid clearance. Some of them had ground glass changes on chest CT.

Objective: To estimate the incidence and mortality of esophageal cancer in 2016 and their changing trend during 2010-2016 according to the cancer registration data in Henan province. Methods: The data quality including completeness, validity, and reliability of local registries which submitted the cancer registration data of 2016 were assessed according to the criteria of Guideline on Cancer Registration in China and IARC/IACR. Esophageal cancer cases (ICD10: C15) were extracted from the database, and the incidence and mortality stratified by gender, age, and areas (urban/rural) were calculated, the incidence and mortality of provincial cancer were estimated combined with provincial population data. China's 2000 census population and Segi's population were used to calculate the age-standardized rate. Joinpoint model was used to estimate the changing trend of age standardized incidence and mortality along with the calendar year. Results: Approximately 40.10 thousand new esophageal cancer cases were diagnosed in Henan in 2016, accounting for 13.46% of all new cancer cases, and it ranked the third among cancer of all sites. The crude incidence of esophageal cancer was 37.21/100 000 with an age-standardized incidence rate by China standard population (ASIRC) of 26.74/100 000 and an age-standardized incidence rate by world standard population (ASIRW) of 27.12/100 000. The incidence of esophageal cancer in males was higher than that in females, with the ASIRC of 34.53/100 000 and 19.19/100 000, respectively. It was higher in rural areas than that in urban areas, with the ASIRC of 28.13/100 000 and 20.90/100 000, respectively. About 29.30 thousand deaths of esophageal cancer in Henan in 2016, accounting for 15.61% of all cancer deaths in Henan, which ranked the third among cancer of all sites. The crude mortality rate was 27.14/100 000 with an age-standardized mortality rate by China standard population (ASMRC) of 18.74/100 000 and an age-standardized mortality rate by world standard population (ASMRW) of 18.78/100 000. The mortality in males was higher than that in females, with the ASMRC of 24.78/100 000 and 13.12/100 000, respectively. It was also higher in rural areas than that in urban areas, with the ASMRC of 19.48/100 000 and 15.73/100 000, respectively. The ASIRC and ASMRC were declining with annual percent change (APC) of 3.12% (APC=-3.12%; 95%CI: -5.30%, -0.90%; P=0.015) and 2.47% (APC=-2.47%; 95%CI: -4.70%, -0.20%; P=0.039) during 2010-2016. However, the significant declining trend was only observed in rural areas in Henan, and the changing trend was same between males and females. Conclusions: The incidence and mortality of esophageal cancer are declining since 2010, however, the disease burden remains large in Henan. Therefore, comprehensive prevention and control efforts should be strengthened according to its epidemic characteristics and risk factors.

Objective: To estimate stomach cancer incidence and mortality in Henan, 2016 and analyze the trend of stomach cancer incidence and mortality from 2010 to 2016. Methods: Stomach cancer related data in 2016 was extracted from Henan cancer registration and follow-up system. All data were qualified in validity, reliability and completeness according to the Guideline on Cancer Registration in China and International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/IACR). The incidence and mortality of stomach cancer were estimated by areas, gender and age based on the quality data and the registered population data of Henan province in 2016. The epidemic trend of stomach cancer was also been evaluated based on the age-standardized incidence and mortality by Chinese population (ASR China) from 2010 to 2016. Results: In 2016, the estimated incident cases of stomach cancer were 44 311. The incidence was 41.07/100 000, ASR China was 30.17/100 000, ASR by world population (ASR world) was 30.36/100 000, and the cumulative incidence rate was 3.84%. The incidences of male and female were 55.65/100 000 and 25.35/100 000, respectively. Meanwhile, 32 927 people died of stomach cancer in Henan. The mortality was 30.52/100 000, ASR China was 21.45/100 000, ASR world was 21.54/100 000, and the cumulative mortality was 2.53%. From 2010 to 2016, both the ASR China for incidence and mortality of stomach cancer in Henan showed a steady downward trend. In rural, the ASR China for incidence and mortality decreased rapidly, while the stable trend was observed in urban. Nevertheless, the incidence and mortality of stomach cancer in rural were still higher than those in urban. Conclusions: The incidence and mortality of stomach cancer in Henan province showed steadily declining trend from 2010 to 2016, and the geographical distribution difference between rural and urban areas was gradually narrowing. However, the disease burden was still high in 2016.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of Linggui Zhugantang (LG) on the blood-brain barrier (BBB) model of Alzheimer's disease (AD) in vitro and to explore the mechanism of LG in repairing the BBB injury in AD. MethodA total of 50 male SPF rats were randomized into five groups: high-dose (4.8 g·kg-1), medium-dose (2.4 g·kg-1), and low-dose (1.2 g·kg-1) LG groups, western medicine (0.5 g·kg-1 donepezil hydrochloride) group, and normal group (normal saline of equivalent volume). They received (ig) corresponding drugs twice a day for 7 d. Drug-containing serum was respectively collected from the abdominal aorta 1 h after the last administration. The BBB injury of AD in vitro was induced with the cell co-culture method, and 6 groups were designed: normal group, model group, high-, medium-, and low-dose LG groups, and western medicine group. The model group was added with 100 μL amyloid β1-42 (Aβ1-42, final concentration: 5 μmol·L-1), and high-dose, medium-dose, and low-dose LG groups and the western medicine group were added with corresponding 10% drug-containing serum in addition to the 100 μL Aβ1-42 (final concentration: 5 μmol·L-1). Cell survival rate was detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay, expression of BBB-related skeleton proteins (claudin-5, ZO-1, occludin), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) by Western blot, and content of inflammatory factors interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BBB Aβ transporter low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP-1) and advanced glycation end product receptor (RAGE) at different time points in high-dose, medium-dose, and low-dose LG groups were determined by Real-time PCR and Western blot. ResultCell survival rate of the model group was lower than that of the normal group (P<0.05) and the survival rates of the western medicine group and high-dose LG group was higher than that in the model group (P<0.05). The skeleton proteins were down-regulated and MMP-2 and MMP-9 were up-regulated in the model group compared with those in the normal group (P<0.05). The expression of skeleton proteins was higher (P<0.05) and that of MMP-2 and MMP-9 was lower (P<0.05) in the western medicine group and high-dose LG group than in the model group. Compared with the model group, only the medium-dose LG group showed the up-regulation (P<0.05) of claudin-5 (P<0.05) and the decrease (P<0.05) of MMP-2. IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in the model group were up-regulated (P<0.05) compared with those in the normal group, and those inflammatory factors in the western medicine group and high-dose and medium-dose LG groups were lower (P<0.05) than those in the model group. LRP-1 expression was up-regulated and RAGE expression was down-regulated at 3 h compared with those at 0 h (P<0.05), while the expression of the two became stable at 6, 12, 24, 36 h. At 3 h, LRP-1 expression was down-regulated and RAGE expression was up-regulated in model group compared with those in the normal group at 3 h (P<0.05). Moreover, the LRP-1 content was higher and RAGE content was lower in the western medicine group and high-dose LG group than in the model group. ConclusionLG can repair the BBB injury in vitro by inhibiting the expression of inflammatory factors and MMP-2, MMP-9, promoting the expression of skeletal proteins, and regulating the balance of transporters.

Due to its complex pathogenesis and lack of effective therapeutic methods, Alzheimer's disease (AD) has become a severe public health problem worldwide. Recent studies have discovered the function of central nervous system lymphatic drainage, which provides a new strategy for the treatment of AD. Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) has been considered as a cure for AD for hundreds of years in China, and its effect on scavenging β-amyloid protein in the brain of AD patients has been confirmed. In this review, the mechanism of central nervous system lymphatic drainage and the regulatory functions of CHM on correlation factors were briefly summarized. The advances in our understanding regarding the treatment of AD via regulating the central lymphatic system with CHM will promote the clinical application of CHM in AD patients and the discovery of new therapeutic drugs.

RESUMEN

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Qingkailing injection in the treatment of children with sepsis and heat syndrome, and investigate its anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant and protective effects. Method:Eighty patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group with forty cases in each group according to the number table. Both groups received comprehensive treatment measures such as fluid resuscitation, anti-infection, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulation, vasoactive drugs, and protection of vital organ functions. While patients in observation group additionally took Qingkailing injection, 5-10 mL each time, intravenous drip after dilution, 1 time/day. Treatment course was five days in both groups. Before and after treatment, the scores of quick sequential organ failure assessment (qSOFA), pediatric critical illness score (PCIS) and acute physiology and chronic health evalution Ⅱ (APACHEⅡ) were graded; procalcitonin (PCT), serum amyloid A protein (SAA) before and after treatment, heparin-binding protein (HBP), tumor necrosis factor-<italic>α</italic> (TNF-<italic>α</italic>), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-10, N-terminal brain sodium Peptide precursor (NT-proBNP), high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) level, cardiac troponin I (cTnI), creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB), <italic>D</italic>-dimer (<italic>D-</italic>D ), fibrinogen (FIB) and antithrombin Ⅲ (AT-Ⅲ) levels were detected. Result:The APACHEⅡ and qSOFA scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (<italic>P</italic><0.05), while the PCIS score was higher than that in the control group (<italic>P</italic><0.05). The levels of PCT, SAA,HBP,TNF-<italic>α</italic>, hs-CRP and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (<italic>P</italic><0.01), while the IL-10 level was higher than that in the control group (<italic>P</italic><0.01). The levels of NT-proBNP, hs-cTnT, cTnI, CK-MB, <italic>D</italic>-D and FIB in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (<italic>P</italic><0.01), while the AT-Ⅲ activity was higher than that in the control group (<italic>P</italic><0.01). Conclusion:Qingkailing injection as the adjuvant therapy in children with sepsis and fever syndrome, can play the role of anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, reducing infection and myocardial damage, thereby reducing the severity of the disease and improving the prognosis.

RESUMEN

CRISP R/Cas9 is an emerging gene editing technique, which plays an important role in life science research.It is of great significance to introduce this cutting-edge scientific technique into the experimental teaching for undergraduates.Therefore, we established an undergraduate experiment system based on CRISPR/Cas9 technology.This experiment system focuses on the application of CRISPR/Cas9- mediating gene editing in mammalian cells.An engineered mouse embryonic fibroblast which genome were inserted with fluorescein mCherry gene was selected as the experimental model, and called STO-82.Firstly, sgRNAs targeting mCherry gene were designed to construct CRISPR-Cas9/sgRNA co-expression plasmids.After being confirmed by sequencing, they were transfected into STO-82 cells.Two groups of cells with mCherry negative and positive signals were detected by fluorescence-activated cell sorting.Single cells with negative fluorescence were separated and then cultivated to become monoclonal cells.The mutation status of mCherry gene in monoclonal cell lines was detected by sequence analysis.The result showed that there were mutations of insertion or deletion at target sites, indicating that the experimental system was successfully established.Therefore, this comprehensive experiment is comprised of sgRNA design, construction of CRISPR-Cas9/sgRNA co-expression plasmids, cell transfection, cell sorting, monoclonal cell cultivation and sequence analysis.This experiment system is used for experimental teaching for senior undergraduates.Teaching practice can either be decomposed into content modules or be taken as a whole program in light of actual situation.In the teaching practice at 3 classes (13 groups in total, two students every group), which adopted the model of small-class teaching (about 10 students per class), the majority completed the content modules and the expected outcomes were achieved.Through the design and teaching practice of this experiment system, the students acquire a deeper understanding for the principle and experimental procedure of CRISPR/Cas9 technology, an enhanced experimental ability and rigorous scientific thinking and also some knowledge in the risk of its medical application.

OBJECTIVE@#To analyze the literature knowledge structure and acupoint matching rules of acupuncture for depression.@*METHODS@#The articles regarding acupuncture for depression published from January 1 of 1984 to October 19 of 2020 were searched in CNKI database. CiteSpace5.7.R2 software was used to import the literature data, and the keyword cluster analysis, emergence analysis and time-zone analysis of articles and acupoints were conducted, and the map of scientific knowledge was draw.@*RESULTS@#A total of 3524 articles were included to the knowledge structure analysis, while 601 articles into the acupoint matching rules analysis. There were 13 keyword clusters of acupuncture for depression, with "post-stroke depression" and "electroacupuncture treatment" as high-frequency keywords, and "electroacupuncture treatment" and "Hamilton depression scale" had high centrality, and "electroacupuncture treatment" had the highest emergence intensity. The keywords such as "electroacupuncture treatment" and "Hamilton depression scale", etc. appeared the earliest, followed by "post-stroke depression", "fluoxetine" and "auricular point therapy", etc. According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, acupoint keywords were divided into four clusters: ①core acupoint, ②replenishing-spleen and dispelling phlegm, dispersing-liver and relieving depression, reinforcing @*CONCLUSION@#The main knowledge structure of acupuncture for depression includes five parts: treatment method, depression type, TCM-related diseases, literature type and curative effect index. Clinical acupoint matching should adhere to the principle of "focusing the disease before syndrome" and "combination of disease and syndrome", and treatment should be modified for the syndromes of phlegm stagnation blocking, liver-stagnation and

OBJECTIVE@#To compare clinical efficacy between anatomical locking plate (ALP) and ordinary steel plate (OSP) in treating closed calcaneal fractures with SandersⅡ and Ⅲ.@*METHODS@#From May 2016 to May 2018, 68 patients with closed Sanders typeⅡ and Ⅲ calcaneal fractures were retrospectively analyzed, and were divided into anatomical locking plate group (ALP group) and ordinary steel plate group (OSP group) according to two kinds of plate fixation, and 34 patients in each group. In ALP group, there were 21 males and 13 females aged from 20 to 63 years old with average of (35.16±8.45) years old; 14 patients were typeⅡand 20 patients were type Ⅲaccording to Sanders classification;treated with ALP. In OSP group, there were 20 males and 14 females aged from 19 to 63 years old with average of (35.05±8.39) years old;19 patients were typeⅡand 15 patients were type Ⅲ according to Sanders classification;treated with OSP. Operative time, intraoperative blood loss and complications between two groups were observed and compared;preoperative and postoperative Böhler angle and gissane angle were also compared;American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle and hind foot scores, foot and ankle disability index (FADI) scores were applied to evaluate clinical effect.@*RESULTS@#All patients were followed up from 11 to 14 months with an average of (12.06±0.81) months. There were no statistical differences in opertive time, intraoperative blood loss, incision infection and refracture rate in complications between two groups (@*CONCLUSION@#Compared with OSP, ALP in treating SandersⅡ and Ⅲ calcaneal fractures could achieve better therapeutic effect, avoid screw loosening, reduce complications, and improve limb function in further.

RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the efficacy, advantages and disadvantages of internal and external elbow joint approach and olecranon osteotomy approach for the treatment of intercondylar fracture of humerus.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>From October 2012 to May 2016, 18 cases of intercondylar fracture of humerus were treated by operation including 12 males and 6 females with a mean age of 33.5 years old (ranged from 4 to 56 years old); 8 cases were operated by internal and external elbow joint approach, 10 cases were operated by olecranon osteotomy approach. According to AO classification, 3 cases were type C1, 8 cases were type C2, 7 cases were type C3. All patients were excluded from neurologic and vascular injuries.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>All patients were followed up from 12 to 26 months with an average of 15 months. The incision healed well and no heterotopic ossification was found. According to the modified Cassebaum elbow function score, the result was excellence in 14 cases, good in 3 cases, fair in 1 case.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>According to the fracture type, the appropriate surgical approach and fixation were selected in order to get anatomic reduction. Rigid fixation, and early functional exercise is important condition for successful operation and satisfactory functional recovery in intercondylar fracture of the humerus.</p>

RESUMEN

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the influential factors of total blood loss during unilateral artificial total hip arthroplasty (THA).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>From January 2014 to July 2016, 131 patients undergwent primary unilateral total hip arthroplasty, including 55 males and 76 females, ranging in age from 40 to 89 years old, with an average of 64.5 years old. The data of patients with unilateral total hip arthroplasty were collected, and the data of hemodynamics, coagulation function, hemoglobin and hematocrit values were recorded according to the observation data. The blood loss of the patients was calculated by Gross equation, and the data were analyzed by a statistical software.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The total blood loss of the patients was significantly affected by the factors of pathogenesis and deep venous thrombosis of the lower limbs. The results were statistically significant(<0.05). The gender, age, body mass index, prosthesis and anesthesia had little effects on the blood loss volume after replacement.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>The data in this study indicate that the volume of actual blood loss can be controlled by adjusting non-surgical factors such as gender, age, body mass index, prosthetic material, and risk factors, and surgical factors(postoperative complications, anesthesia).</p>
