RESUMEN

The goal of this paper is to solve the problems of large volume, slow dynamic response and poor intelligent controllability of traditional gait rehabilitation training equipment by using the characteristic that the shear yield strength of magnetorheological fluid changes with the applied magnetic field strength. Based on the extended Bingham model, the main structural parameters of the magnetorheological fluid damper and its output force were simulated and optimized by using scientific computing software, and the three-dimensional modeling of the damper was carried out after the size was determined. On this basis and according to the design and use requirements of the damper, the finite element analysis software was used for force analysis, strength check and topology optimization of the main force components. Finally, a micro magnetorheological fluid damper suitable for wearable rehabilitation training system was designed, which has reference value for the design of lightweight, portable and intelligent rehabilitation training equipment.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Although tumors of the lacrimal sac are rare, they represent a potentially life-threatening situation that can easily be overlooked since patients present with features consistent with chronic dacryocystitis. Lacrimal sac squamous cell carcinoma is the most common lacrimal sac malignancy, but no definitive treatment is currently available. CASE SUMMARY: We describe a 34-year-old unmarried male who presented with a red and swollen right lower eyelid, which gradually developed into a mass of the lower eyelid that obstructed vision in his right eye. He was treated with transcatheter arterial infusion chemotherapy and interventional embolization based on the tumor characteristics, and we also administered intensity-modulated radiotherapy and targeted therapy after tumor shrinkage. The tumor treatment demonstrated good efficacy, and the patient's condition was stable after 10 mo of follow-up. CONCLUSION: To our knowledge, this is the first report of lacrimal sac squamous cell carcinoma treated with transcatheter arterial infusion chemotherapy and interventional embolization, which might expand clinical treatment options for lacrimal sac carcinoma.

Rhinoncus sibiricus Faust, a major pest of buckwheat, has invaded the buckwheat cultivation areas of China for years. This pest was first found in Russia in 1940, causing great damage during the entire buckwheat-growing season. In China, there are few records on R. sibiricus, and studies regarding pest damage on buckwheat are unknown. The occurrence and distribution of this species in China is still not clear. We therefore conducted field surveys for 6 yr to identify the distribution range and the degree of pest damage caused by R. sibiricus in the buckwheat-planting areas of China and tested its preference for two Fagopyrum species in common garden experiments. The results showed that R. sibiricus had a larger distribution range in the Northern rather than the Southern part of China, and that pest damage was more serious in northern China. The pest preferred F. tataricum (Tartary buckwheat, Polygonales: Polygonaceae) over F. esculentum (Common buckwheat, Polygonales: Polygonaceae), but caused damage to both, indicating its potential for distribution in southern China. This study clarified the occurrence, distribution, and damage traits of R. sibiricus in the buckwheat cultivation areas of China, which will help explain the pest attack traits and inform strategies for pest control and prediction.

RESUMEN

Frame and fusion frame high-resolution image fusion formulations are presented. These techniques use the physical point spread function (PSF) of cameras as the building block of the mathematical frames in the fusion process. Cameras producing the low-resolution images are allowed to be different, and thereby possess different PSFs. Fused image reconstructions are carried out by a dimension invariance principle and by a set of iterative reconstruction algorithms. These frame fundamental approaches are also seen to be robust to realistic fusion problems from inhomogeneous image measurements (taken at different space or time or by different cameras), which is one of the main focuses of this paper. The effectiveness of this approach is demonstrated through both simulated and realistic examples. The results are quite encouraging.
