Effects of left-behind experience and sleep quality on depression in college students / 中国学校卫生

Objective@#To explore the relationship between left-behind experience, sleep quality and depression in college students and to provide a scientific reference for improving mental health of college students.@*Methods@#The stratified cluster sampling method was used to investigate depression and related factors among undergraduates at two universities in Qiqihar City from November to December 2018, and the effects of left-behind experience and sleep quality on depression were analyzed.@*Results@#Depression detection rate of college students in Qiqihar City was 30.62%, there was no difference in the detection rate of depression among college students of different sex( χ 2=3.15, P >0.05), depression detection rate of college students from rural area was higher than in urban students, non-only child higher than onlychild( χ 2=8.61, 8.98, P <0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression showed that left-behind mode, left-behind age, type of stay-at-home, frequency of contact with parents during stay, and sleep quality were associated with depression( OR =0.28-6.00, P <0.05).@*Conclusion@#Depression of college students is associated with previous left-behind experiences and sleep quality.

Diagnosis and treatment of free floating thrombus in carotid artery / 中华普通外科杂志

Objective To evaluate diagnostic method and treatment strategy for free floating thrombus in carotid artery.Methods From Ju12016 to Oct 2017,7 patients with free floating thrombus in carotid artery was diagnosed at our department.The medical history,symptoms,diagnosis,treatment strategy and prognosis of those patients were analyzed retrospectively.Results Among 7 patients,4 were symptomatic;4 patients were concomitant with severe carotid artery stenosis and 3 with mild to moderate stenosis.3 received carotid endarterectomy and patch angioplasty.4 received carotid artery stenting with distal cerebral protection divice.There was no perioperative and 30-day stroke,myocardial infarction,death or hyperperfusion syndrome occurred.The 12-month follow up showed no restenosis,no free floating thrombus recurrence and no ischemic cerebrovascular event.Conclusion Free floating filling defect in carotid artery is a typical sign for unstable plaque.Both carotid endarterectomy and carotid artery stenting can be used for the treatment of free floating thrombus.

Multiple guided technologies based on radial probe endobronchial ultrasound for the diagnosis of solitary peripheral pulmonary lesions: a single-center study.

Objective To evaluate the value of multiple guided technologies based on radial probe endobronchial ultrasound (R-EBUS) in the application of the diagnosis of solitary pulmonary peripheral lesions (PPLs). Methods Analysis of diagnostic yield in 4 groups patients with different combined multiple guided technologies based on R-EBUS, 94 patients with 94 solitary PPLs from Mar, 2013 to Nov, 2014 in Changhai Hospital. Results The overall diagnostic yield was 75% (70/94), the diagnostic yield of Group A (R-EBUS) was 62%(16/26), Group B (R-EBUS with guided sheath, EBUS-GS) was 76% (34/45), Group C (EBUS-GS with fluoroscopy) was 82% (9/11), Group D (virtual bronchoscopic navigation guided EBUS-GS with fluoroscopy) was 92% (11/12). The overall histopathological diagnostic yield was 56% (53/94. Better histopathological diagnostic yield was associated with application of multiple guided technologies based on EBUS-GS, lesions located in non-lower lobes, lesion's diameter > 2cm, radial probe within the lesions and lidocaine nebulization combined with intravenous anesthesia. There were no severe complications in all the 94 cases. A ultrasonic radial probe was broken when exploring a lesion located in the apical-posterior segment of left upper lobe. Conclusion Multiple guided technologies based on R-EBUS were safe and effective in the diagnosis of solitary PPLs. In practice, the diagnosis yield improved with the application of forcep biopsies combined with bronchial brushing and washing.

Clinical use of the ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula as a long-term vascular access in patients with hemodialysis / 中国综合临床

Objective To study the clinical use of the ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula as a long-term vascular access in patients with hemodialysis.Methods The clinical data of 36 patients with 1-year follow-up who had a wrist ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula formed in China-Japan Friendship Hospital from January 2013 and December 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.The outcomes for this study including the surgical results,complication rate of ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula,immediate patency rate,average maturation time,1-year primary patency rate and true patency rate were analyzed.Results Thirty-four cases patients got successful ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula formed with palpable vascular thrill.There were no death cases and no severe cardio-cerebrovascular complications.No infection,heart failure,distal swelling and ischemia occurred.The immediate patency of ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula was 94.4%(34/36),the average maturation time was (67±4) d,1-year primary patency rate was 63.9%(23/36),and true patency rate was 67.6%(24/36).Conclusion Ulnar-basilic arteriovenous fistula with adequate 1-year primary patency and low risk of infection and complications can be a viable alternative as the hemodialysis vascular access.

The clinical outcomes comparison of combined versus staged approach on concomitant carotid and coronary severe stenosis patients / 中华胸心血管外科杂志

Objective To compare the outcome of combined and staged approach on concomitant carotid and coronary severe stenosis.Methods From March 2013 to May 2015,27 patients with concomitant carotid and coronary severe stenosis were treated by carotid endarterectomy and coronary artery bypass grafting,15 cases received one-stage operation and 12 staged.The basic characteristics,details during surgery,complications,quality of life score,hospital stay and cost were compared.Results 27 patients received carotid endarterectomy and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting under general anesthesia.Revascularization were performed on 27 carotid and 82 coronary artery.The characteristics of patients were similar between two groups,reflected with WIC,combined approach subgroup was (5.27 ± 0.88) and staged subgroup was (4.92 ± 1.24).The operation time was significantly decreased in the synchronous group [(295.33 ± 49.73)min vs (390.83 ± 73.45) min,P ＜ 0.001].Hospital stay days was also reduced [(30.20 ± 12.91) days vs(44.67 ± 6.34) days,P =0.002],the medical cost was lower in combined approach group,but no significant statistical difference.The complications including 1 case TIA,1 recurrent nerve injury in one-stage group and 1 case myocardial infarction,1 mediastinal bleeding post-operation and 1 pulmonary infection in stage group.No cerebral infarction and death.Quality of life scores(SF-36) of the two groups was 5.53 ± 1.30 and 5.75 ± 1.36 respectively,no significant difference.Conclusion The efficacy and safety of treatment for concomitant carotid and coronary severe stenosis patients with combined or staged approach was similar.But the combined approach program can reduce the hospital stay time and cost in some degree.

Use of endoscopic vessel harvesting system for the treatment of lower limb varicose veins / 中华普通外科杂志

Objective To study the clinical outcome of endoscopic vessel harvesting system (EVH) for the treatment of lower limbs varicose veins.Methods Patients (n =41) with varicose veins admitted from Jan 2011 to May 2013 were randomly divided into EVH group (n =20) and stripping group (n =21).Indexes as postoperative VAPS (48 hours and 1 week),subcutaneous ecchymosis (1 week),hematoma(1 week),skin numbness (1 week),CEAP classification (3 months),surgery effect and satisfaction scores(3 months) were compared between the two groups.Results 48 hours and 1 week VAPS was lower in EVH group(P ＜0.01).After EVH there was less subcutaneous ecchymosis (1 week),hematoma(1 week) and skin numbness (1 week) (all P ＜ 0.01).Postoperative CEAP classification improved significantly in both groups (P ＜ 0.01),while surgery effect and satisfaction scores (3 months) were better in EVH group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions EVH is a safe and minimally invasive technique in treatment of varicose veins of the lower limbs.

Effects of mustard seed on 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene-induced allergic contact dermatitis in BALB/c mice / 南方医科大学学报

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the therapeutic effect of mustard seed on allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) in mice and explore the mechanism.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Eighteen BALB/c mice were randomly divided into normal control group, model group and mustard seed group. The mice in the normal control group and model group were fed with normal chow, and those in mustard seed group were given 5% mustard seed mixed in the chow. Three weeks later, ACD was induced on the ear using 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene. After 24 h, the swelling of the ear was examined, and the rats were sacrificed to collect the ear tissue ears and blood for histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations, RT-PCR and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>In mice with ACD, feeding with mustard seeds significantly lessened the ear swelling, improved the tissue histopathology, lowered the number of infiltrating Langerhans cells, and reduced the expressions of IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA in the ear, but did not cause significant changes in serum levels of IL-4, IFN-γ and IL-17.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Mustard seed inhibits ACD in mice possibly by suppressing the expressions of IL-1β, TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA and inhibiting Langerhans cell migration in the epidermis.</p>

Endovenous laser treatment,radiofrequency endovenous occlusion and conventional stripping combined with transilluminated powered phlebectomy for lower extremity varicose vein / 中华普通外科杂志

Objective To compare the clinical results of endovenous laser treatment(EVLT),radiofrequency endovenous occlusion(RFO)and conventional stripping combined with transilluminated powered phlebectomy(TIPP)for lower extremity varicose vein.Methods From Jun 2004 to Jan 2007,200 cases(232 limbs)were treated by EVLT with TIPP,80 cases(88 limbs)by RFO with TIPP,and 180 cases(202 limbs)by conventional stripping with TIPP.Operation time,number of the incision made,intraoperative bleeding,postoperative hospital stay,complications,and one-year recurrence rate were compared with each other. Results Operation time was longer(41±8)min in RFO group than that in other two groups.Postoperative hospital stay was shorter in EVLT group(1.2±0.4 d)and RFO group (2.1±0.8 d)than that in stripping and TIPP group(P＜0.05).Patients in stripping group also suffered from more intra-operative bleeding more often incidental nervus saphenus injury and more incision numbers when compared with other two groups(P＜0.05).There was no significant difierence in one-year recurrence rate among patients in the three groups. Conclusions The clinical efficacy is almost the same among the three groups in terms of eradication of the varicose veins.EVLT and RFO are safe and minimal invasive for the treatment of lower extremity varicose vein.

Drug Sensitivity Test for Mycoplasma Urethritis: An Analysis of 263 Cases / 中华医院感染学杂志

OBJECTIVE To collect the document about drug sensitivity in mycoplasma-infected cases in Beijing area and to instruct drug-selecting in clinic treatment. METHODS Drug sensitivity test on 263 Mycoplasma-positive non-gonococcal urethritis(NGU)(mucopurulent cervicitis,MPC)cases was conducted. RESULTS Tetracyclines and minocycline performed the highest sensitivity(94.68%),followed by josamycin(94.30%) and doxycycline(91.63%).Lomefloxacin had the lowest sensitivity(15.59%). CONCLUSIONS Tetracyclines and macrolides can be employed as the first-choice drugs in NGU(MPC)treatment.
