RESUMEN

The results of ultrasonic investigation and the following phlebosclerosing treatment of an incompetent saphenofemoral anastomosis were analyzed in two groups of patients with initial stages of varicose disease of the lower extremity veins. The first group included 48 patients treated by injection-sclerosing therapy by the technology of "empty vein". The second group consisted of 82 patients treated by catheter sclerotherapy of the sapheno-femoral anastomosis. In the first group the treatment was effective in 73.1%, in the second group - in 91.5%. The terminal hemodynamic criteria of performing the injectional and catheter sclerotherapy were determined in elimination of high sapheno-femoral reflux of blood.

RESUMEN

Results of diagnosis and treatment of 270 patients with varicose disease were analyzed. Based on duplex scanning two groups of patients were divided: group 1 consisted of 164 patients with low-intensity reflux, group 2 consisted of 106 patients with high-intensity reflux. Patients of group 1 were treated with ultrasound-assisted puncture sclerotherapy. In group 2 sclerosurgical procedures were used: sclerosant was injected into great saphenous vein trough catheter after crossectomy. For obliteration of varicose subcutaneous veins and perforants of shank the Irish technique was used. In group 1 recurrence of the disease was revealed in 9.1% patients, in group 2 -- in 9.4% patients.

RESUMEN

Results of treatment of two groups of patients were analyzed. The first (investigation) group included 106 patients with varicose disease who were given injection-sclerosing therapy by two original methods of elimination of high and low veno-venous refluxes under ultrasound control. The second group consisted of 82 patients treated by traditional methods of sclerotherapy without a purposeful elimination of veno-venous refluxes. The method developed by the authors allowed to make the effectiveness of treatment of refluxes better: that of saphenous-femoral by 41.6%, saphenous-popliteal and perforant by 7.9% that resulted in 35.9% lower recurrence of the disease.

RESUMEN

A new system of non-invasive diagnosis of neurogenic dysfunction of the lower urinary tracts (LUT) is proposed. It is based on the patient's complaints and uroflowmetry evidence. Each complaint and index is scored (-2-3) according to the special scale of defects. Each type of the urinary tracts dysfunction is estimated by specially designed algorithms. The diagnosis of certain dysfunction is made in the score sum > 3. The trial of the system showed that its specificity was 96.2-96.3%, sensitivity 87.5-96%, diagnostic efficiency 92.2-96.1%. The system in applicable in practical urology.

RESUMEN

The developed multifactorial assessment schedule is sufficiently valid and can be successfully applied to dynamic studying the psychosocial factors, which are connected with the rehabilitation of the patients who have survived myocardial infarction. Owing to its simplicity and universality the schedule can be easily introduced into health care practice and applied according to the study tasks.
