RESUMEN

Autologous cultured epithelium grafting (ACEG) presents a promising treatment for refractory vitiligo, yet concerns regarding infections and immunological reactions hinder its surgical use due to serum and feeder dependencies. Addressing this, we culture autologous epithelium under serum- and feeder-free (SFF) conditions, comparing its safety and efficacy with serum- and feeder-dependent (SFD) conditions in stable vitiligo patients, and we discover no significant differences in repigmentation between the SFF and SFD grafts. Single-cell RNA transcriptomics on SFF- and SFD-cultured epithelium alongside healthy skin reveal increased populations of LAMB3+ basal keratinocytes and ZNF90+ fibroblasts in the SFF sheets. Functional analyses showcase active cellular metabolism in LAMB3+ basal keratinocytes, vital in extracellular matrix homeostasis, while ZNF90+ fibroblasts demonstrate increased differentiation, essential in collagen formation for cell adhesion. Importantly, these cell populations in SFF sheets exhibit enhanced interactions with melanocytes compared to SFD sheets. Further, knockdown experiments of LAMB3 in keratinocytes and ZNF90 in fibroblasts lead to a downregulation in melanocyte ligand-receptor-related genes. Overall, SFF sheets demonstrate comparable efficacy to SFD sheets, offering superior safety. LAMB3+ basal keratinocytes and ZNF90+ fibroblasts act as potential drivers behind repigmentation in ACEG under SFF conditions. This study provides translational insights into ACEG repigmentation and potential therapeutic targets for vitiligo.

Objective: As an important factor tumor regulator,long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have aroused extensive attention via the diverse functional mechanisms that were associated with the pathological and physiological processes of HCC. Here, the main purpose of this study was to provide a clear understanding about the expression, functions and potential mechanism of lncRNA CECR7 (Cat Eye Syndrome Chromosome Region, Candidate 7) in HCC. Methods: RT-qPCR analysis and TCGA database analysis were applied to investigate the expression of CECR7 in HCC cell lines and tissues. Chi-squared Test was employed to explore the correlation between CECR7 expression and HCC clinicopathological features. Besides, Kaplan-Meier curves were constructed to test the effects of CECR7 expression on the prognosis of HCC patients. Transwell assays, MTT assay EdU assay and animal experiments were applied to explore the effects of CECR7 expression on HCC cells migration, invasion, and growth. Furthermore, RNA-seq analysis, luciferase reporter assay and mRNA decay rates assessment were utilized to investigate the mechanism whereby CECR7 regulated EXO1 mRNA. And, rescue experiments were used to determine whether EXO1 was an essential mediator for CECR7 to accelerate HCC cells migration, invasion, and growth. Results: CECR7 was determined to be significantly overexpressed in HCC cell lines and tissues. CECR7 expression was closely correlated with the tumor size, venous infiltration, TNM stage, 5-year overall survival and disease-free survival of HCC. And, CECR7 played a catalytic role in HCC cells migration, invasion, and growth. Furthermore, CECR7 enhanced the stability of EXO1 mRNA by recruiting RNA binding protein U2AF2. And, EXO1 was determined to be an essential mediator for CECR7 to accelerate HCC cells migration, invasion, and growth. Conclusion: In a word, our findings demonstrates that the cancer-promoting gene lncRNA CECR7 motivates HCC metastasis and growth through enhanced mRNA stability of EXO1 mediated by U2AF2, proposing a new insight for targeted therapy of HCC.

BACKGROUND: Paroxetine therapy has been used for treatment of patients with depression and Parkinson's disease (dPD) in many clinical studies, but, the effects of paroxetine in dPD patients are not completely understood. The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the effects of paroxetine therapy on depressive symptom and motor function in the treatment of dPD, in order to confer a reference for clinical practice. METHODS: Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of paroxetine for dPD published up to October, 2022 were retrieved. Standardised mean difference (SMD), odds ratio (OR), and 95% confidence interval (CI) were calculated and heterogeneity was measured with the I2 test. The outcomes of interest were as follows: the efficacy, Hamilton depression rating scale score, unified Parkinson's disease rating scale score, Hamilton anxiety rating scale score or adverse events. RESULTS: Thirty-four RCTs with 2819 participants were included. Compared with control group, the pooled effects of paroxetine therapy on depression were (22 trials; OR 3.62, 95% CI 2.63 to 4.98, P < .00001) for antidepressant response (25 trials; SMD -2.14, 95% CI -2.73 to -1.56, P < .00001) for Hamilton depression rating scale score, the pooled effects of paroxetine therapy on motor function were (10 trials; OR 4.63, 95% CI 3.15 to 6.79, P < .00001) for anti-PD efficacy (18 trials; SMD -2.02, 95% CI -2.48 to -1.55, P < .00001) for total unified Parkinson's disease rating scale score. The Hamilton anxiety rating scale score showed significant decrease in the paroxetine treatment group compared to control group (10 trials; SMD -1.93, 95% CI -2.65 to -1.22, P < .00001). In addition, paroxetine therapy reduced the number of any adverse events obviously in dPD patients (twenty trials; OR 0.42, 95% CI 0.31 to 0.57, P < .00001). CONCLUSIONS: Paroxetine therapy has clinical benefits for improvement of depressive symptom and motor function in dPD patients, moreover, it is of high drug safety. Further well-designed, multi-center RCTs needed to identify these findings.

BACKGROUND: Airway complications (AC) are one of leading causes of morbidity and mortality after lung transplant (LTx), but their predictors and outcomes remain controversial. This study aimed to identify potential risk factors and prognosis of AC. METHODS: A systematic review was performed by searching PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library. All observational studies reporting outcome and potential factors of AC after LTx were included. The incidence, mortality, and estimated effect of each factor for AC were pooled by using the fixed-effects model or random-effects model. RESULTS: Thirty-eight eligible studies with 52,116 patients undergoing LTx were included for meta-analysis. The pooled incidence of AC was 12.4% (95% confidence interval [CI] 9.5-15.8) and the mean time of occurrence was 95.6 days. AC-related mortality rates at 30-days, 90-days, 6 months, 1 year, and 5 years were 6.7%, 17.9%, 18.2%, 23.6%, and 66.0%, respectively. Airway dehiscence was the most severe type with a high mortality at 30 days (60.9%, 95% CI 20.6-95.2). We found that AC was associated with a higher risk of mortality in LTx recipients (hazard ratio [HR] 1.71, 95% CI 1.04-2.81). Eleven significant predictors for AC were also identified, including male donor, male recipient, diagnosis of COPD, hospitalization, early rejection, postoperative infection, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, mechanical ventilation, telescopic anastomosis, and bilateral and right-sided LTx. CONCLUSION: AC was significantly associated with higher mortality after LTx, especially for dehiscence. Targeted prophylaxis for modifiable factors and enhanced early bronchoscopy surveillance after LTx may improve the disease burden of AC.

Miniaturization of a conventional spectrometer is challenging because of the tradeoffs of size, cost, signal-to-noise ratio, and spectral resolution, etc. Here, a new type of miniaturized infrared spectrometer based on the integration of tunable graphene plasmonic filters and infrared detectors is proposed. The transmittance spectrum of a graphene plasmonic filter can be tuned by varying the Fermi energy of the graphene, allowing light incident on the graphene plasmonic filter to be dynamically modulated in a way that encodes its spectral information in the receiving infrared detector. The incident spectrum can then be reconstructed by using decoding algorithms such as ridge regression and neural networks. The factors that influence spectrometer performance are investigated in detail. It is found that the graphene carrier mobility and the signal-to-noise ratio are two key parameters in determining the resolution and precision of the spectrum reconstruction. The mechanism behind our observations can be well understood in the framework of the Wiener deconvolution theory. Moreover, a hybrid decoding (or recovery) algorithm that combines ridge regression and a neural network is proposed that demonstrates a better spectral recovery performance than either the ridge regression or a deep neural network alone, being able to achieve a sub-hundred nanometer spectral resolution across the 8∼14 µm wavelength range. The size of the proposed spectrometer is comparable to a microchip and has the potential to be integrated within portable devices for infrared spectral imaging applications.

Mastering nuclear fusion, which is an abundant, safe, and environmentally competitive energy, is a great challenge for humanity. Tokamak represents one of the most promising paths toward controlled fusion. Obtaining a high-performance, steady-state, and long-pulse plasma regime remains a critical issue. Recently, a big breakthrough in steady-state operation was made on the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST). A steady-state plasma with a world-record pulse length of 1056 s was obtained, where the density and the divertor peak heat flux were well controlled, with no core impurity accumulation, and a new high-confinement and self-organizing regime (Super I-mode = I-mode + e-ITB) was discovered and demonstrated. These achievements contribute to the integration of fusion plasma technology and physics, which is essential to operate next-step devices.

Objective: We aimed to construct and validate machine learning models for endotracheal tube (ETT) size prediction in pediatric patients. Methods: Data of 990 pediatric patients underwent endotracheal intubation were retrospectively collected between November 2019 and October 2021, and separated into cuffed and uncuffed endotracheal tube subgroups. Six machine learning algorithms, including support vector regression (SVR), logistic regression (LR), random forest (RF), gradient boosting tree (GBR), decision tree (DTR) and extreme gradient boosting tree (XGBR), were selected to construct and validate models using ten-fold cross validation in training set. The optimal models were selected, and the performance were compared with traditional predictive formulas and clinicians. Furthermore, additional data of 71 pediatric patients were collected to perform external validation. Results: The optimal 7 uncuffed and 5 cuffed variables were screened out by feature selecting. The RF models had the best performance with minimizing prediction error for both uncuffed ETT size (MAE = 0.275 mm and RMSE = 0.349 mm) and cuffed ETT size (MAE = 0.243 mm and RMSE = 0.310 mm). The RF models were also superior in predicting power than formulas in both uncuffed and cuffed ETT size prediction. In addition, the RF models performed slightly better than senior clinicians, while they significantly outperformed junior clinicians. Based on SVR models, we proposed 3 novel linear formulas for uncuffed and cuffed ETT size respectively. Conclusion: We have developed machine learning models with excellent performance in predicting optimal ETT size in both cuffed and uncuffed endotracheal intubation in pediatric patients, which provides powerful decision support for clinicians to select proper ETT size. Novel formulas proposed based on machine learning models also have relatively better predictive performance. These models and formulas can serve as important clinical references for clinicians, especially for performers with rare experience or in remote areas.

The mitochondrial protein sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) can counteract cell damage caused by oxidative stress and inflammation, and contribute to cell survival primarily by improving mitochondrial function. However, the effects of SIRT3 in dopaminergic neuronal cells (DACs) remain unclear. In our previous studies, microglia activation-associated cytotoxicity was observed to promote the apoptosis of DACs, along with the decrease of SIRT3 expression. The aim of the present study was to explore the potential neuroprotective effect of SIRT3 expression against dopaminergic neuron injury caused by microglia activation, and clarify its possible mechanisms. SIRT3 overexpression in DACs reduced the production of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS), cell apoptosis rate, mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm) depolarization, opening of mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP) and cyclophilin D (CypD) protein level, and promoted cell cycle progression. However, SIRT3 siRNA-mediated knockdown further aggravated microglia activation-mediated cytotoxicity, including ROS accumulation, increased cell apoptosis and mPTP opening, elevated the CypD level, enhanced mitochondrial ΔΨm depolarization, concomitant to cell cycle arrest at G0/G1 phase. The mechanisms of SIRT3 mitigated microglia activation-induced DAC dysfunction, which included decreased mPTP opening and Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, inhibition of mitochondrial cytochrome c release to the cytoplasm, reduced caspase-3/9 activity, increased LC3II/LC3I and beclin-1 protein expression levels, and decreased nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain, leucine rich repeat and pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3), caspase-1, IL-1ß and IL-18 protein expression. In conclusion, these results indicated that SIRT3 expression attenuated cell damage caused by microglia activation through the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway in DACs. The mitophagy-NLRP3 inflammasome pathway may also be associated with this neuroprotection. These findings may provide new intervention targets for the survival of dopaminergic neurons and the prevention and treatment of Parkinson's disease.

Fusion energy is a promising source of clean energy, which could solve energy shortages and environmental pollution. Research into controlled fusion energy has been ongoing for over half a century. China has created a clear roadmap for magnetic confinement fusion development, where superconducting tokamaks will be used in commercial fusion reactors. The Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) is the world's first fully superconducting tokamak with upper and lower divertors, which aims at long-pulse, steady-state, H-mode operation, and 101-s H-mode discharge had been achieved. In 2007, China joined the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) and became one of its seven members. Thirteen procurement packages are undertaken by China, covering superconducting magnets, power supplies, plasma-facing components (PFCs), diagnostics, etc. To bridge the gap between the ITER and fusion demonstration power plants (DEMOs), China is planning to build the Chinese Fusion Engineering Testing Reactor (CFETR) to demonstrate related technologies and physics models. The engineering design of the CFETR was completed in 2020, and Comprehensive Research Facilities for Fusion Technology (CRAFT) are being constructed to explore the key technologies used in the CFETR.

Obesity has become an epidemic in several regions globally; it may lead to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and dyslipidemia. Despite many therapies, all bariatric procedures fail in some patients. There is a lack of literature comparing treatment effects on specific metabolic indexes. PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were searched for relevant articles. GeMTC and R software were used to perform a network meta-analysis, draw forest plots, investigate the possibility of statistical heterogeneity, generate I2 statistics, rank probabilities, and evaluate relative effects of surgical procedures. All analyses were based on a Bayesian consistency model. We included 35 randomized controlled trials, comprising 2198 individuals and 13 interventions. For patients with high insulin resistance, single-anastomosis (mini-) gastric bypass (SAGB) and sleeve gastrectomy (SG) may be effective options, with mean differences (95% confidence intervals [CIs]) of -4.45 (-9.04 to -.34) and -4.23 (-6.74 to -2.22), respectively, compared with control groups. For patients with severe dyslipidemia, in addition to SAGB and SG, duodenal switch (DS) may be an effective surgery, with mean differences (95% CIs) of -.97 (-1.39 to -.55), -1.98 (-3.76 to -.19), .53 (.04 to 1.04), and -.94 (-1.66 to -.16) compared with control groups in terms of triglycerides, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) concentrations, respectively. In adult overweight patients with or without diabetes, SAGB and SG are most effective at ameliorating insulin resistance. SAGB, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass + omentectomy, and DS are useful for reducing triglycerides, total cholesterol, and LDL-C. SG + omentectomy elevates HDL-C concentrations best. Adjustable gastric band and biliopancreatic diversion may not control insulin resistance or dyslipidemia well.

Tokamak diagnostic window glass is an indispensable optical medium in fusion research. The transmittance of the device affects the optical performance and accuracy of the diagnostic system. Especially, the window glass serves as the entrance of the light source while performing the sealing function for the active diagnosis method represented by Thomson scattering diagnostics. In this work, we studied the influence of the laser irradiation and tokamak discharge on the EAST (Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak) Thomson scattering diagnostic borosilicate glass window. Using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman scattering, we found that carbon-based impurities in the device aggravated the film damage due to laser irradiation, reducing the performance of the coating of the glass. Besides, the laser and the various rays of tokamak discharge generated many point defects in the glass, increasing the light absorption of the glass. These two factors caused the glass transmittance to drop significantly (from 99.99% to 77.62%). In addition, the long-term laser irradiation primarily reduced the transmittance, while environmental rays had a minor impact on the same. This work provides valuable insights into the selection and effective use of glass in optics-based diagnostics.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of pramipexole plus levodopa/benserazide (P+LB) combination therapy in the treatment of Parkinson's disease (PD) compared to that of LB monotherapy, in order to confer a reference for clinical practice. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of P+LB for PD published up to April 2020 were retrieved. Heterogeneity and sensitivity analysis were executed. Twenty-nine RCTs with 3017 participants were included. Clinical efficacy of P+LB combination therapy was significantly better than LB monotherapy (RR 1.27, 95% CI 1.22 to 1.32, P<0.00001). Compared with LB monotherapy, the pooled effects of P+LB combination therapy on UPDRS score were (SMD -1.41, 95% CI -1.71 to -1.11, P<0.00001) for motor UPDRS score, (SMD -1.65, 95% CI -2.25 to -1.04, P<0.00001) for activities of daily living UPDRS score, (SMD -2.20, 95% CI -3.32 to -1.09, P=0.0001) for mental UPDRS score, and (SMD -1.60, 95% CI -2.06 to -1.15, P<0.00001) for complication UPDRS score. The HAMD score showed significant decrease in the P+LB combination therapy compared to LB monotherapy (SMD -1.32, 95% CI -1.80 to -0.84, P<0.00001). In contrast to LB monotherapy, P+LB combination therapy decreased the number of any adverse events obviously in PD patients (RR 0.53, 95% CI 0.45 to 0.63, P<0.00001). In conclusion, P+LB combination therapy is superior to LB monotherapy for improvement of clinical symptoms in PD patients. Moreover, the safety profile of P+LB combination therapy is better than that of LB monotherapy. Further well-designed, multi-center RCTs needed to identify these findings.

BACKGROUND: The purpose of the study was to evaluate whether KRAS mutation could be an independent prognostic biomarker in patients undergoing pulmonary metastasectomy (PM) for colorectal cancer (CRC). METHODS: A systemic review was performed by searching online databases to identify studies reporting overall survival (OS) and recurrence free survival (RFS) of CRC patients undergoing PM. Pooled HRs were calculated for OS and RFS. RESULTS: A total of 15233 patients from 60 studies were included. Pooled analysis showed that KRAS mutation was associated with worse OS (HR: 1.86, 95 % Cl: 1.35-2.57) and RFS (HR: 1.68, 95 % Cl: 1.38-2.04). A significant effect on OS and/or RFS was also shown by other 18 factors. CONCLUSIONS: This meta-analysis found that KRAS mutation is an important prognostic predictor for OS and RFS in CRC patients undergoing PM, supporting a comprehensive model including clinicopathological and biological factors for optimal patients selection and prognosis for surgical treatment.

The spin Hall effect of light (SHEL), as a photonic analogue of the spin Hall effect, has been widely studied for manipulating spin-polarized photons and precision metrology. In this work, a physical model is established to reveal the impact of the interface pitch angle on the SHEL accompanied by the Imbert-Fedorov angular shift simultaneously. Then, a modified weak measurement technique is proposed in this case to amplify the spin shift experimentally, and the results agree well with the theoretical prediction. Interestingly, the amplified transverse shift is quite sensitive to the variation of the interface pitch angle, and the performance provides a simple and effective method for precise pitch angle sensing with a minimum observable angle of 6.6 × 10-5°.

Metasurfaces have been widely studied for manipulating light fields. In this work, a novel metasurface element is achieved with a high circular polarization amplitude conversion efficiency of 88.5% that creates an opposite phase shift ranging from -180° to 180° between incidence and reflection for different spin components. By arranging the elements according to different requirements, spin-dependent reflection, focusing and scattering are demonstrated. It is also demonstrated that tuning of the Fermi energy is an viable way to active control the circular polarization conversion efficiency and expand the applicable bandwidth. The results open a new route for modifying and designing the wavefront of circular polarized light.

The crystal structures of boron hydrides in a pressure range of 50-400 GPa were studied using the genetic algorithm (GA) method combined with first-principles density functional theory calculations. BH4 and BH5 are predicted to be thermodynamically unstable. Two new BH2 structures with Cmcm and C2/c space group symmetries, respectively, were predicted, in which the B atoms tend to form two-dimensional sheets. The calculated band structures showed that in the pressure range of 50-150 GPa, the Cmcm-BH2 phase has very small gaps, while the C2/c-BH2 phase at 200-400 GPa is metallic. The superconductivity of the C2/c-BH2 structure was also investigated, and electron-phonon coupling calculations revealed that the estimated Tc values of C2/c-BH2 are about 28.18-37.31 K at 250 GPa.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of immune regulatory molecules TGF-ß1 and IL-10 on the immunoregulatory activities of extracellular vesicles(EV) secreted from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). METHODS: MSC were isolated from human umbilical cord and expanded, then were treated with TGF-ß1 and IL-10 for 72h, and MSC-EVs in supernatants were isolated. The total protein content of all samples was determined by BCA methed. The morphological structure was observed by transmission electron microscopy. The surface markers of MSC-EV were analyzed by flow cytometry. The apoptosis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMNC) stimulated by ConA and the proportion of CD4+CD25+/CD127- (Treg) cells were detected by flow cytometry after incubation with MSC-EV for 72 h. The CBA and ELISA kit were used to detect the contents of IL2, IL4, IL6, IL10, IFN-γ, TNF-α, Th17A and TGF-ß1 in PBMC supernatants and MSC-EV. RESULTS: All the samples showed that the typical cup-shaped membrane-like structure was observed by transmission electron microscopy, and CD9, CD44, CD63 and CD81 expressed. After TGF-ß1 treatment, the MSC-EV displayed the strongest ability to promote PBMNC apoptosis(P<0.01), and in all the samples the proportion of Treg cells increased. MSC-EV could increase the content of IL-10 in the supernatants of PBMNC culture, the content of TGF-ß1 in PBMNC supernatants after MSC treatment with TGF-ß1 was lower than that in untreated group(P<0.05). The content of IL-6 in MSC-EV increased significantly after treatment with TGF-ß1, and the content of TGF-ß1 decreased. CONCLUSION: TGF-ß1 alters the immnomodulatory function of MSC-EV and its underlying mechanisms need to be clarified in further investigations.

A Cu(II) complex [Cu(bipy)(H2O)2(SO4)] n (bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine) was synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized structurally by elemental analyses, single crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectra, and thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. The Cu(II) was hexacoordinated by two N atoms from bipy, two O atoms from different sulfate radical anions, and two O atoms from two water molecules, forming a slightly distorted octahedral geometry, and bridged by sulfato groups into polymeric chains. Under the condition of physiological pH, the interaction mechanism between the complex and hsDNA was explored with acridine orange as a fluorescence probe by spectroscopic methods. The binding modes between the complex and hsDNA were the electrostatic and embedded modes.

Studies have shown that satins and herbal products have potential to treat non-alcohol fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in clinic. However, no study has compared their effects, and their mechanisms remain unresolved. Here, we choose lovastatin and two herbal products including berberine and curcumin to compare their effects in treating NAFLD. NAFLD model was established by high fat food, and rats were administrated with lovastatin, berberine, curcumin, berberine + curcumin at the dosage of 100, 100, 100, 50 + 50 mg/kg bw, respectively. The body weight, visceral fat gain, histological inspection and serum parameters were studied to exam the curative effects. In addition, mediators including SREBP-1c, caveolin-1, pERK, NF-κB, TNF-α, and pJNK were studied. Results showed that berberine + curcumin group exhibited lower body and fat weigh compared with lovastatin group. Biochemical assays showed that LDL-c, ALT, AST, ALP, MDA, LSP level were lower in berberine + curcumin group compared with lovastatin group. Lower expression of SREBP-1c, pERK, TNF-α, and pJNK were also observed in berberine + curcumin group. We conclude that combination of curcumin and berberine exhibited better ameliorative effects in treating NAFLD than lovastatin, and this enhanced effect is associated with oxidative stress, hepatic inflammation and lipid metabolism.

The optical absorption spectra of Si2-Si33 clusters were systematically studied by a time-dependent density functional theory approach. The calculations revealed that the absorption spectrum becomes significantly broad with increasing cluster size, stretching from ultraviolet to the infrared region. The absorption spectra are closely related to the structural motifs. With increasing cluster size, the absorption intensity of cage structures gradually increases, but the absorption curves of the prolate and the Y-shaped structures are very sensitive to cluster size. If the transition energy reaches ∼12 eV, it is noted that all the clusters have remarkable absorption in deep ultraviolet region of 100-200 nm, and the maximum absorption intensity is ∼100 times that in the visible region. Further, the optical responses to doping in the Si clusters were studied.
