RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The proportion of abnormal electrocardiogra (ECG) in patients with coronary artery fistula (CAF) is relatively high, but the correlation between CAF and arrhythmia is mostly reported in individual case studies. This paper analyzes the correlation between imaging features and ECG features. OBJECTIVE: This paper aims to analyze the incidence and distribution characteristics of abnormal ECG in patients with CAF and further explore the difference in ECG characteristics between coronary-cameral fistula (CCF) and coronary-pulmonary artery fistula (CPAF). METHOD: A total of 144,448 patients who underwent coronary computerized tomography angiography (CTA) examination from January 2016 to December 2022 were included in this study, and 284 patients with CAF (excluding coronary atherosclerosis) were selected for analysis of their ECG and image characteristics. And divided them into the CPAF (221 cases) and CCF (63 cases) groups, the differences in ECG between the two groups was compared. The changes in the ECG after the operation were analyzed. RESULTS: The incidence of abnormal ECG in patients with CAF was approximately 72.9%. There were significant differences in the proportion of ECG block, myocardial ischemia and structural ECG changes between the CPAF group and CCF group (P < 0.05). CCF was more likely to cause conduction block and ischemic and structural ECG changes. A total of 53 patients with CAF underwent surgical treatment, 28 patients with improved ECG (52%). CONCLUSION: CCF especially CCF patients often have abnormal ECG findings such as conduction block, myocardial ischemia, and structural changes, which can often be restored to normal through surgery.

RESUMEN

China's prevention and control of parasitic diseases has made remarkable achievements. However, the prevalence and transmission of parasitic diseases is impacted by the complicated natural and social factors of environment, natural disasters, population movements, and so on. Therefore, there are still the risks of the outbreak of emergency parasitic diseases affairs, which may affect the control effectiveness of parasitic diseases and endanger the social stability seriously. In this article, we aim at the analysis of typical cases of emergency parasitic disease affairs and their impacts on public health security in China in recently years, and we also elaborate the disposal characteristics of emergency parasitic disease affairs, and propose the establishment of response system to emergency parasitic disease affairs in China, including the organizational structure and response flow path, and in addition, point out that, in the future, we should strengthen the system construction and measures of the response system to emergency parasitic disease affairs, so as to control the risk and harm of parasitic disease spread as much as possible and to realize the early intervention and proper disposal of emergency parasitic disease affairs.

RESUMEN

Objective To study the application of autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model to predict the monthly reported malaria cases in China, so as to provide a reference for prevention and control of malaria. Methods SPSS 24.0 software was used to construct the ARIMA models based on the monthly reported malaria cases of the time series of 20062015 and 2011-2015, respectively. The data of malaria cases from January to December, 2016 were used as validation data to compare the accuracy of the two ARIMA models. Results The models of the monthly reported cases of malaria in China were ARIMA (2, 1, 1) (1, 1, 0)12 and ARIMA (1, 0, 0) (1, 1, 0)12 respectively. The comparison between the predictions of the two models and actual situation of malaria cases showed that the ARIMA model based on the data of 2011-2015 had a higher accuracy of forecasting than the model based on the data of 2006-2015 had. Conclusion The establishment and prediction of ARIMA model is a dynamic process, which needs to be adjusted unceasingly according to the accumulated data, and in addition, the major changes of epidemic characteristics of infectious diseases must be considered.

RESUMEN

The aim of the present study was to treat retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) with estrogen (E2) so as to elucidate the role of E2 in the pathogenesis of ROP. A total of 120 postnatal 7-day-old (P7) C57BL/6J mice were selected and raised in a high-oxygen environment (75% oxygen) for 5 days, followed by 5 days in normal room air. Different doses of E2 or normal saline (NS) were injected intraperitoneally during different time-periods, and the mice were divided into 14 groups according dose of E2 injection (0.5-1.5 µg/0.05 ml) and dosing time. Blood vessel changes and hyperplasia were evaluated in flat-mounted retina and retinal slices. All mice that were exposed to room air, whether they were administered E2 or NS, showed good vascular development in the flat-mounted retina at P17. No increase in the number of endothelial cell nuclei in the new blood vessels was observed. In ascending order of E2 dose the numbers of cell nuclei were as follows: 0.18±0.129, 0.28±0.086 and 0.55±0.110. The number in the NS group was 2.12±0.373. When the results of the room-air groups were compared with those of the hyperoxia groups, a highly significant difference was found in each comparison (P<0.0001). All mice showed varying degrees of neovascularization and vascular obstruction in the flat-mounted retina at P17, and it was difficult to compare the blood vessels morphologically among these groups. The number of endothelial cell nuclei decreased following E2 injection, and the difference from the NS group exposed to hyperoxia was highly significant (P<0.0001). For all dose levels, the number of cell nuclei was the lowest when the drug was administered during P7-16, and the difference from the other two time-periods was statistically significant (P<0.05). When E2 was administered during P7-16, the number of cell nuclei was 15.5±1.993 in the 0.5-µg group, 14.23±2.49 in the 1.0-µg group and 18.05±1.62 in the 1.5-µg group. No significant difference was found among these three groups (P>0.05). In conclusion, E2 treatment during the development of retinopathy can improve symptoms in neonatal mice, suggesting that E2 plays an important role at the two initial stages in the pathogenesis of ROP. This may indicate new pharmacological measures to prevent and treat ROP.
