RESUMEN
Three cases of gallstone in children with no apparent predisposing condition are reported. The importance of considering cholelithiasis in the child with abdominal pain is described and the use of ultrasonography in its efficient diagnosis is stressed.

RESUMEN
An 18-year-old black youth with myositis ossificans progressiva recently underwent eye surgery. The clinical, laboratory and radiological findings are described. The problems associated with anaesthesia are presented and their management is discussed. The condition is briefly reviewed.
