RESUMEN

With the continuous advancement of sensing technology, applying large amounts of sensor data to practical prediction processes using artificial intelligence methods has become a developmental direction. In sensing images and remote sensing meteorological data, the dynamic changes in the prediction targets relative to their background information often exhibit more significant dynamic characteristics. Previous prediction methods did not specifically analyze and study the dynamic change information of prediction targets at spatiotemporal multi-scale. Therefore, this paper proposes a neural prediction network based on perceptual multi-scale spatiotemporal dynamic changes (PMSTD-Net). By designing Multi-Scale Space Motion Change Attention Unit (MCAU) to perceive the local situation and spatial displacement dynamic features of prediction targets at different scales, attention is ensured on capturing the dynamic information in their spatial dimensions adequately. On this basis, this paper proposes Multi-Scale Spatiotemporal Evolution Attention (MSEA) unit, which further integrates the spatial change features perceived by MCAU units in higher channel dimensions, and learns the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics at different scales, effectively predicting the dynamic characteristics and regularities of targets in sensor information.Through experiments on spatiotemporal prediction standard datasets such as Moving MNIST, video prediction dataset KTH, and Human3.6m, PMSTD-Net demonstrates prediction performance surpassing previous methods. We construct the GPM satellite remote sensing precipitation dataset, demonstrating the network's advantages in perceiving multi-scale spatiotemporal dynamic changes in remote sensing meteorological data. Finally, through extensive ablation experiments, the performance of each module in PMSTD-Net is thoroughly validated.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: This study aims to investigate the association of Chinese visceral adiposity index (CVAI) with incident hyperuricemia (HUA). METHODS AND RESULTS: We included 5186 adults aged ≥45 years from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. Modified Poisson regression model was used to estimate the relative risks (RRs) of incident HUA associated with baseline CVAI, and logistic model was used to estimate the odds ratios (ORs) of HUA for CVAI change. Restricted cubic splines analysis was adopted to model the dose-response associations. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) analysis was used to evaluate the predictive value of CVAI. During 4-year follow-up, a total of 510 (9.8%) HUA cases were identified. The RRs (95%CIs) of incident HUA were 3.75 (2.85-4.93) for quartile 4 versus quartile 1 and 1.56 (1.45-1.69) for per-standard deviation increase in baseline CVAI. For the analyses of CVAI change, compared with stable group, participants in decreased group had 34% lower risk (OR 0.66, 95%CI 0.49-0.87) and those in increased group had 35% (1.35, 1.03-1.78) higher risk of HUA. Linear associations of baseline CVAI and its change with HUA were observed (Pnonlinear >0.05). Besides, the AUC value for HUA was 0.654 (0.629-0.679), which was higher than other five obesity indices. CONCLUSIONS: Our study found linear associations between baseline CVAI and its change and risk of HUA. CVAI had the best predictive performance in predicting incident HUA. These findings suggest CVAI as a reliable obesity index to identify individuals with higher HUA risk.

The study of the outcomes of critically ill patients has been a hard stuff in the field of intensive care. To explore the relationship between changes of severity scores, bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) and outcomes of critically ill patients, we enrolled patients (n = 206) admitted to intensive care unit (ICU) in Jinling Hospital from 2018 to 2021 with records of BIA on the days 1- and 3- ICU. Collected BIA and clinical data including simplified acute physiology score II (SAPS II) and sequential organ failure assessment. According to the baseline and change of severity scores or phase angle (PA) values, the patients were divided into: G-G, baseline good status, 3rd day unchanged; G-B, baseline good status, 3rd day deteriorated; B-G, baseline bad status, 3rd day improved; and B-B, baseline bad status, 3rd day unchanged. According to PA, the mortality of group G-G was 8.6%, and it was greater than 50% in group B-B for severity scores. The new score combining PA and severity scores established. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that PA-SAPS II score was the only independent factor for 90-day mortality (P < 0.05). A linear correlation was found between mortality and PA-SAPS II score (prediction equation: Y ( % ) = 16.97 × X - 9.67 , R2 = 0.96, P < 0.05).

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the dynamic changes in serum (1-3)-ß-D-glucan (BDG) caused by intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) infusion in adults. METHODS: This study included patients who received IVIG infusion from October 2021 to October 2022 during hospitalization. We randomly examined two IVIG samples for every patient. Serum samples were collected at nine time points: before (Tpre), immediately (T1-0), 6h (T1-1) and 12h (T1-2) later on the first day; immediately (T2-0) and six hours later (T2-1) on the second day during IVIG infusion, and within three days after IVIG infusion (Ta1, Ta2, and Ta3, respectively). The Friedman test was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: A total of 159 serum BDG from 19 patients were included in the analysis. The BDG content of IVIG ranged from 249 pg/ml to 4812 pg/ml. Patients had significantly elevated serum BDG on T1-0 (176 (113, 291) pg/ml, p = 0.002) and Ta1 (310 (199, 470) pg/ml, p < 0.001), compared with Tpre (41 (38, 65) pg/ml). The increments of serum BDG (ΔBDG) were associated with BDG concentration of IVIG (Spearman r = 0.59, p = 0.02). Individuals with abnormal renal function indexes showed higher serum ΔBDG values at Ta1 (403 (207, 484) pg/ml) than patients with normal renal function (172 (85, 316) pg/ml, p = 0.036). CONCLUSION: Patients who received IVIG had significantly higher serum BDG values. Elevated BDG levels correlate with BDG content of IVIG and abnormal renal function indexes.

The water source reservoirs are the important urban water source in northern China. Although external pollution has been greatly improved, the internal pollutants in reservoirs continue to accumulate with the complex deposition and release processes, resulting in potential risks to water supply safety. To address the aforementioned issue, this paper proposed a simulation model of water quality named ECOlab EU1-WSR to simulate the spatio-temporal changes of water quality under the influence of internal pollution for the water source reservoirs. Based on the analysis of the water quality characteristics and the distribution of benthic vegetation in the reservoir, a three-dimensional hydrodynamic model was established based on MIKE3, the corresponding parameters and the related state variables were set, the ECOlab EU1-WSR model was established by secondly developing the original ECOlab EU1 template, and the real-time dynamic outputs of pollutant content in sediment were added to link the water quality index with sediment nutrition index for better revealing the impact of the internal pollution on the water quality. The performance of the model was evaluated by the case application on the water quality simulation of Daye reservoir and the optimization of the connection project between Daye reservoir and Xueye reservoir in Shandong Province China. The results showed that the model can accurately and simultaneously simulate the pollution in water and sediment by the comparative verification of hydrodynamics, water temperature, and water quality. Moreover, the model can effectively reflect the influence of the accumulation, deposition, and release of internal pollution on water quality by analyzing the correlation between the content of various pollution in water body and those in sediment, such as the total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the water body at the bottom of the water intake, were negatively correlated with the total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the sediments with correlation coefficients of 0.538 and 0.917, respectively. In addition, the optimal water inlet position and water flow rate of the connection project can be optimized and determined by using the model to effectively control water quality. The established model will be a useful tool for the design and management of a reservoir, the interconnection projects, and other water bodies by adaptively recoded.

Hydrothermal aqueous phase (HAP) contains abundant organics and nutrients, which have potential to partially replace chemical fertilizers for enhancing plant growth and soil quality. However, the underlying reasons for low available nitrogen (N) and high N loss in dryland soil remain unclear. A cultivation experiment was conducted using HAP or urea to supply 160 mg N kg-1 in dryland soil. The dynamic changes of soil organic matters (SOMs), pH, N forms, and N cycling genes were investigated. Results showed that SOMs from HAP stimulated urease activity and ureC, which enhanced ammonification in turn. The high-molecular-weight SOMs relatively increased during 5-30 d and then biodegraded during 30-90 d, which SUV254 changed from 0.51 to 1.47 to 0.29 L-1 m-1. This affected ureC that changed from 5.58 to 5.34 to 5.75 lg copies g-1. Relative to urea, addition HAP enhanced ON mineralization by 8.40 times during 30-90 d due to higher ureC. It decreased NO3-N by 65.35%-77.32% but increased AOB and AOA by 0.25 and 0.90 lg copies g-1 at 5 d and 90 d, respectively. It little affected nirK and increased nosZ by 0.41 lg copies g-1 at 90 d. It increased N loss by 4.59 times. The soil pH for HAP was higher than that for urea after 11 d. The comprehensive effects of high SOMs and pH, including ammonification enhancement and nitrification activity inhibition, were the primary causes of high N loss. The core idea for developing high-efficiency HAP fertilizer is to moderately inhibit ammonification and promote nitrification.

Purpose: Galectin-3 is a key regulator of microglial proliferation and activation and may have dual and time-dependent effects on ischemic stroke. This study aimed to prospectively investigate the dynamic changes in Galectin-3 levels in patients with acute ischemic stroke receiving endovascular therapy and its clinical significance. Patients and Methods: A total of 105 patients with acute ischemic stroke who underwent endovascular therapy were prospectively enrolled. Plasma Galectin-3 was quantitatively detected by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay before the operation and at 1 day, 3 days and 7 days after the operation. A linear mixed-effect model, Pearson correlation analysis and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis were used to evaluate the dynamic changes in the plasma Galectin-3 concentration and its relationship with clinical outcomes. Results: Increases in plasma Galectin-3 levels at 1 day and 3 days after surgery were associated with early neurological deterioration and death (both P <0.05). Increased Galectin-3 levels before surgery and at 1 day and 3 days after surgery were associated with poor prognosis (P <0.05). Pearson correlation analysis revealed that Galectin-3 levels before surgery (r =0.318, P =0.002), at 1 day (r =0.318, P =0.001), 3 days (r =0.429, P < 0.001) and 7 days after surgery (r =0.340, P =0.001) were positively correlated with NIHSS scores. The ROC curve results showed that Galectin-3 concentration had a certain predictive value for death at 1 day (AUC=0.707, P=0.013), 3 days (AUC=0.708, P=0.016) and 7 days after the operation (AUC=0.708, P=0.016), but this predictive value was lower than that of the NIHSS score. Conclusion: In acute ischemic stroke patients receiving endovascular therapy, an increase in the plasma Galectin-3 levels were associated with death, poor prognosis, and early neurological deterioration. Galectin-3 levels were significantly correlated with the NIHSS score and had a certain predictive value for death.

Clarifying the spatial distribution of the impact of different human disturbance activities on the net primary productivity (NPP) in regions with single climatic conditions is of considerable importance to ecological protection. Time-series NPP from 2000 to 2020 was simulated in Northwest Hubei, China, and the effects of the climate and human activities on the NPP changes were separated. Research results showed that from 2000 to 2020, the NPP change with an area of 10,166.63 km2 in Northwest Hubei is influenced by climate and human activities. Among them, human activities account for as high as 84.53%. From 2000 to 2020, the NPP in Northwest Hubei showed a slight upward trend at a rate of 1.61 g C m-2 year-1. The significantly increased NPP accounted for 21.4% of the total, which was mainly distributed in north of Northwest Hubei. And the farming of cultivated land led to the increase of NPP in west as well as the reduced human distribution in cultivated land, which was scattered in forests. Only 6.67% of the total area demonstrated a significantly decreased NPP, which was distributed mainly in the central affected by the expansion of rural-urban land and change of broad-leaved forests to shrubs and in southeast regions of Northwest Hubei caused by the increase in potential evapotranspiration. This study refined the driving factors of spatial heterogeneity of NPP changes in Northwest Hubei, which is conducive to rational planning of terrestrial ecosystem protection measures.

OBJECTIVE: Visceral obesity and the lifetime risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) have received increasing attention. However, the relationship between dynamic changes in visceral obesity and CVD has not been studied. We aimed to determine the association of visceral adiposity index (VAI) transition with CVD risk. METHODS: A total of 5395 participants were recruited in 2011-2012 and followed up until 2018 from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. The cut-off value of the VAI was obtained by the receiver-operating characteristic curve. Participants were grouped based on VAI change patterns during the follow-up period (2011-2015): the low-low group, low-high group, high-low group, and high-high group. CVD was defined as a medical diagnosis of heart disease and/or stroke. A Cox proportional hazards model was used to evaluate the correlation between VAI transition and CVD. RESULTS: Over a median follow-up period of 7 years, 969 participants (17.9 %) developed CVD. VAI change patterns were significantly associated with CVD risk after adjustment for demographic characteristics and risk factors. The high-high group (hazard ratio (HR): 1.65, 95 % confidence interval (CI): 1.39-1.97) and the low-high group (HR: 1.29, 95 % CI: 1.04-1.61) were associated with a higher risk of CVD after adjusting for demographic characteristics and traditional risk factors compared to the low-low group, while the effect in the high-low group was not significant. CONCLUSIONS: VAI transition was significantly associated with the risk of CVD. Monitoring the dynamics of the VAI in public health practice would help prevent CVD.

Research in sarcopenia has grown exponentially over the last 15 years in geriatrics and gerontology, as well as other specialties, including oncology and hepatology. There is now strong evidence for the role of resistance exercise to prevent declines in muscle strength and function, especially when combined with nutritional optimization with protein supplementation. However, there remains a disparity between research evidence and clinical practice. There are multiple factors for this, which relate to the current diagnostic criteria for sarcopenia, practical and logistical aspects of diagnosis of sarcopenia, clinician knowledge of both diagnosis and management, and the availability of pathways for interventions. Sarcopenia is currently defined based on the identification of muscle strength, in combination with muscle size or quality, below cut-off thresholds at a single timepoint. This defines sarcopenia as a binary process of either present or not present, thus early diagnosis can be challenging. In this article, we summarize current obstacles to early diagnosis and management of sarcopenia in clinical practice, and make recommendations to how these might be overcome. This includes our recommendation of incorporation of handgrip strength measurement into standard care, to enable dynamic assessment and identification of early declines in handgrip strength, so that interventions can be implemented to prevent disability.

Insomnia is highly prevalent among military veterans, with rates nearly double that of civilian populations. Insomnia typically co-occurs with other psychological problems, including substance use (e.g. cannabis) and perceived stress. Much of the research focused on insomnia, stress and cannabis use explores cannabis as a sleep aid and a mechanism for stress relief. However, recent theoretical and empirical evidence suggests a dynamic interplay between insomnia, cannabis use and perceived stress, yet few longitudinal studies exist. Using a sample of 1105 post-9/11 veterans assessed over four time points across 12 months, we used latent difference score modelling to examine proportional change between insomnia, perceived stress and cannabis use. Results revealed a complex interplay between all three constructs. In particular, we show that higher prior levels of insomnia are associated with greater increases in perceived stress, and greater prior levels of stress are associated with greater increases in cannabis use. Perhaps more importantly, our results also point to cannabis use as a catalyst for greater increases in both stress and insomnia severity. Our results suggest there may be both benefits and costs of cannabis use among veterans. Specifically, for veterans who experience chronic sleep problems, perceived stress may become overwhelming, and the benefit of stress reduction from increased cannabis use may come at the cost of increasing insomnia symptomology.

Objective: To assess the association between dynamic patterns of change in body mass or fat mass and stroke. Methods: A population-based cohort of participants was selected from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS). Body mass and fat mass were measured using obesity-related indices, including weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), lipid accumulation product (LAP), and visceral adiposity index (VAI). Five changed patterns were defined: low-stable, decreasing, moderate, increasing, and persistent-high. Logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate the association between obesity-related indices and stroke. Results: A total of 5,834 participants were included, and the median age was 58.0 years. During a 7-years follow-up period, 354 (6.1%) participants developed stroke. The baseline levels of obesity-related indices were significantly associated with incident stroke. Regarding the dynamic change patterns, the low-stable pattern carried the lowest odds for stroke and the persistent-high pattern had the highest odds for stroke, with odds ratios of all the indices ranging from 1.73 to 3.37 (all P < 0.05). The increasing pattern was also associated with a higher odds of stroke, whereas the moderate pattern of weight, BMI, and WHtR was comparable to the low-stable pattern in terms of stroke. Conclusion: Current status and dynamic changes in body mass and fat mass were significantly associated with incident stroke. Maintaining the low-stable pattern of body mass and fat mass as measured by weight, WC, BMI, WHtR, LAP, and VAI may be an alternative strategy for primary stroke prevention.

Microorganisms present on the surface of tobacco leaves play a significant role in shaping the composition of the tobacco microbial ecosystem, which undergoes continuous changes throughout the curing process. In the present study, a total of four distinct tobacco curing periods were selected for sampling, namely the fresh, yellowing, leaf-drying, and stem-drying stages. The bacterial 16S rRNA gene sequences of the collected samples were subsequently analyzed to identify operational taxonomic units (OTUs). The findings indicated that the complete dataset of leaf microbial samples was clustered, resulting in the identification of 1,783 operational taxonomic units (OTUs). Furthermore, the analysis of diversity revealed a pattern of initially increasing and subsequently decreasing community diversity. Redundancy Analysis (RDA) and weighted gene correlation networks for analysis (WGCNA) were employed in conjunction with environmental factors to assign OTUs to 22 modules for functional analysis. Additionally, a classification model utilizing the random forest algorithm was utilized to identify seven marker microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Faecalibacterium, Escherichia-Shigella, Peptostreptococcaceae, Peptostreptococcales-Tissierellales, and Proteobacteria) that exhibited discriminative characteristics across different time periods. This study aimed to investigate the dynamic changes in the bacterial community throughout the curing process and their impact on the community's function. Additionally, certain bacteria were identified as potential markers for detecting changes in the curing stage. These findings offer a novel opportunity to accurately regulate the curing environment, thereby enhancing the overall quality of tobacco leaf curing.

Panarchy is a heuristic of complex system change rooted in resilience science. The concept has been rapidly assimilated across scientific disciplines due to its potential to envision and address sustainability challenges, such as climate change and regime shifts, that pose significant challenges for humans in the Anthropocene. However, panarchy has been studied almost exclusively via qualitative research. Quantitative approaches are scarce and preliminary but have revealed novel insights that allow for a more nuanced understanding of the heuristic and resilience science more generally. In this roadmap we discuss the potential for future quantitative approaches to panarchy. Transdisciplinary development of quantitative approaches, combined with advances in data accrual, curation and machine learning, may build on current tools. Combined with qualitative research and traditional approaches used in ecology, quantification of panarchy may allow for broad inference of change in complex systems of people and nature and provide critical information for management of social-ecological systems.

AIMS: The association of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) slope with progression of complications in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and early-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) is less clear. METHODS: We identified 115,139 T2D participants without decreased eGFR (>60 mL/min/1.73 m2) between 2008 and 2015 from the electronic database of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority. eGFR slope calculated by linear-mixed effects model using 3-year eGFR measurements was categorized into quintiles. With Quintile 3 of eGFR slope as the reference group, we used Cox proportional or cause-specific models to investigate the association between eGFR slope and all-cause mortality, macrovascular and microvascular complications, as appropriate. RESULTS: Over a median follow-up of 7.8 years, fastest eGFR declines (Quintile 1 with median eGFR slope: -4.32 mL/min/1.73 m2/year) were associated with increased risk of all adverse outcomes (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 1.36 to 2.97, all P < 0.0001), compared with less steep eGFR declines (Quintile 3: -1.08 mL/min/1.73 m2/year). Substantial eGFR increases (Quintile 5: 1.34 mL/min/1.73 m2/year) were associated with decreased risk of CKD and ≥ 40 % decline in eGFR (aHR [95 % CI] 0.65 [0.63, 0.67] and 0.85 [0.82, 0.89], respectively) and higher risk of death, CVD, DR and DN (aHR [95 % CI] 1.48 [1.40, 1.56], 1.19 [1.14, 1.25], 1.07 [1.004, 1.15] and 1.62 [1.37, 1.91], respectively). CONCLUSIONS: In a cohort of T2D people without decreased eGFR, accelerated declines and increases in eGFR were associated with all-cause mortality, macrovascular and microvascular complications, supporting the potential prognostic utility of eGFR slope in T2D people with early-stage CKD.

Introduction: Recently, the research on pig intestinal microbiota has become a hot topic in the field of animal husbandry. There are few articles describing the dynamic changes of porcine fecal microbiota and metabolites at different time points from birth to market. Methods: In the present study, 381 fecal samples were collected from 633 commercial pigs at 7 time points, including the 1st day, the 10th day, the 25th day, the 45th day, the 70th day, the 120th day, and the 180th day after the birth of swine, were used for microbiome analysis by Illumina MiSeq sequencing methods while 131 fecal samples from 3 time points, the 10th day, the 25th day, and 70th day after birth, were used for metabolome analysis by LC-MS methods. Results: For the microbiome analysis, the fecal microbial richness increased over time from day 1 to 180 and the ß-diversity of fecal microbiota was separated significantly at different time points. Firmicutes were the main phyla from day 10 to 180, followed by Bacteroides. The abundance of Lactobacillus increased significantly on day 120 compared with the previous 4 time points. From day 120 to day 180, the main porcine fecal microbes were Lactobacillus, Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1, Terrisporobacter and Streptococcus. Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1 and Terrisporobacter increased over time, while Lactobacillus, Escherichia-Shigella, Lachnoclostridium decreased with the time according to the heatmap, which showed the increase or decrease in microbial abundance over time. For the metabolome analysis, the PLS-DA plot could clearly distinguish porcine fecal metabolites on day 10, 25, and 70. The most different metabolic pathways of the 3 time points were Tryptophan metabolism, Sphingolipid signaling pathway, Protein digestion and absorption. Some metabolites increased significantly over time, such as Sucrose, L-Arginine, Indole, 2,3-Pyridinedicarboxylic acid and so on, while D-Maltose, L-2-Aminoadipic acid, 2,6-diaminohexanoic acid, L-Proline were opposite. The correlation between fecal metabolites and microbiota revealed that the microbes with an increasing trend were positively correlated with the metabolites affecting the tryptophan metabolic pathway from the overall trend, while the microbes with a decreasing trend were opposite. In addition, the microbes with an increasing trend were negatively correlated with the metabolites affecting the lysine pathway. Discussion: In conclusion, this study elucidated the dynamic changes of porcine fecal microbiota and metabolites at different stages from birth to market, which may provide a reference for a comprehensive understanding of the intestinal health status of pigs at different growth stages.

Identifying developmental patterns in intergroup contact and its relation with bias is crucial for improving prevention strategies around intergroup relations. This study applied time-varying effects modeling (TVEM) to examine age-based changes in relations between contact and bias in a divided community that included 667 youth (M age = 15.74, SD = 1.97) from Belfast, Northern Ireland, a conflict-affected setting. The results suggest no change in the relation between contact frequency and bias; however, the relation between contact quality and bias increases from ages 10-14 and then levels off. Differences between Catholics, the historic minority group, and Protestants, the historic majority group, also emerged. The article concludes with implications for future research and interventions for youth growing up amid conflict.

Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) plays a crucial role in the assessment of greenhouse gas emission and carbon balance in peatlands. However, limited research has been conducted on the seasonal variations and properties of soil water DOC content at different depths in the permafrost peatlands of the Great Hing'an Mountains. In this study, we analyzed the seasonal patterns of soil water DOC contents (surface, 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, and permafrost layer) the permafrost peatlands of the Great Hing'an Mountains (Tuqiang Forestry Bureau), and investigated the influencing factors, such as electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, HCO3- concentration, pH value, oxidation-reduction potential, and CO2 content. The stability of DOC was assessed by using UV-Vis spectrum. There were significant seasonal dynamics of DOC content in soil water, with higher contents in autumn and lower content in summer, ranging from 55.7 to 188.1 mg·L-1. There were significant differences in DOC content among different soil depths, with the highest levels detected in the permafrost layer. The DOC content showed a significantly positive correlation with pH value and electrical conductivity, while showed a significantly negative correlation with redox potential, HCO3- concentration, and dissolved oxygen content. Additionally, there was a significantly positive correlation between DOC and CO2 contents. The dissolved CO2 content in soil water increased with soil depth, with the highest content observed in the permafrost layer. Results of spectral analysis showed higher aromaticity in autumn compared to summer, indicating greater stability of DOC during the autumn season. Our results clarified the seasonal variations of soil water DOC in permafrost peatlands of the Great Hing'an Mountains and could provide important data to understand the carbon cycling in the region.

Acupuncture and moxibustion therapies are widely used in the field of anti-inflammation, but the dynamic characteristics of inflammatory response with time in the modern biological mechanism research has been ignored to some extent. Therefore, the body surface intervention system represented by acupuncture-moxibustion urgently needs to rebuild the research perspective oriented to the complex immune regulation model, and then to explore the opportunity of acupuncture-moxibustion anti-inflammatory intervention according to the dynamic change process of inflammatory response. Through comparative analysis on the ancient and modern acupuncture-moxibustion immune regulation, and starting from the construction of clinical body surface intervention system, we propose that grasping the appropriate "intervention opportunity" is an important entry point that cannot be ignored to effectively "pry" inflammatory response.

Deinococcus radiodurans (D. radiodurans) can tolerate various extreme environments including radiation. Protein phosphorylation plays an important role in radiation resistance mechanisms; however, there is currently a lack of systematic research on this topic in D. radiodurans. Based on label-free (phospho)proteomics, we explored the dynamic changes of D. radiodurans under various doses of heavy ion irradiation and at different time points. In total, 2359 proteins and 1110 high-confidence phosphosites were identified, of which 66% and 23% showed significant changes, respectively, with the majority being upregulated. The upregulated proteins at different states (different doses or time points) were distinct, indicating that the radio-resistance mechanism is dose- and stage-dependent. The protein phosphorylation level has a much higher upregulation than protein abundance, suggesting phosphorylation is more sensitive to irradiation. There were four distinct dynamic changing patterns of phosphorylation, most of which were inconsistent with protein levels. Further analysis revealed that pathways related to RNA metabolism and antioxidation were activated after irradiation, indicating their importance in radiation response. We also screened some key hub phosphoproteins and radiation-responsive kinases for further study. Overall, this study provides a landscape of the radiation-induced dynamic change of protein expression and phosphorylation, which provides a basis for subsequent functional and applied studies.
