RESUMEN

A 56-year-old female presented to us with rheumatic mitral stenosis with a left atrial clot. We found one coronary cameral fistula on the coronary angiography from the posterior left ventricular branch to the left ventricle. She was taken up for surgical mitral valve replacement and clot removal. A residual coronary fistula may increase the risk of infective endocarditis, especially in the presence of mechanical prosthesis. Henceforth, intra-operatively, we used the methylene blue dye injection as an easy technique to detect and safely close the coronary fistula from inside the left ventricular chamber. She recovered smoothly with a successful outcome.

RESUMEN

Background: The accurate preoperative localization of pulmonary nodules is essential for a successful video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS). The aim of this research was to clarify the efficacy and safety of CT-guided localization of pulmonary nodules by mixture of methylene blue and medical adhesive. Methods: Between January 2020 and January 2021, 103 subjects who have received the CT-guidance pulmonary nodules localization operation were included and retrospectively analyzed. The data on efficiency and complications of preoperative localization using medical adhesives mixed with methylene blue mixture were collected and analyzed. Results: 103 patients with 111 localized pulmonary nodules were included, 95 of whom had one nodule and 8 of whom had two nodules. The nodule localization success rate reaches as high as 100 %. The mean diameter of pulmonary nodules was 9.50 ± 3.67 mm. The mean distance of pulmonary nodule and pleural surface was 19.95 ± 14.92 mm. The mean depth of localized adhesive in the lung parenchyma was 18.99 ± 11.62 mm, and the mean time required for localization was 16.98 ± 5.72 min. The average time from the nodule localization to VATS surgery was 16.97 ± 7.34 h. The common complications of localization were minor pulmonary hemorrhage (9.74 %) and mild pneumothorax (15.53 %). Besides, pulmonary hemorrhage was related with depths of medical adhesives and nodules in lung parenchyma (p = 0.018 and 0.002, respectively). Conclusion: Medical adhesive mixed with methylene blue is safe and effective in pulmonary nodules localization for VATS, and surgeons have flexibility in scheduling the procedure.

RESUMEN

The pure conjugated polyarylene azomethine (CPAA) and its nanocomposites (CPAA-TiO2) with different concentrations of TiO2 nanoparticles were successfully prepared by in-situ technique and analyzed by different advanced techniques. XRD has confirmed the structural properties and crystallinity of (CPAA) and nanocomposites. The SEM clearly shows that the (CPAA) is uniform and homogeneous, with tightly connected aggregate layers in shape. However, the amount of TiO2 in the nanocomposites greatly affects their morphology, revealing structural differences and indicating a reaction between (CPAA) and TiO2, especially at a higher concentration of 5% TiO2. A new composite of (CPAA) was introduced and the photocatalytic effect for MB was studied. The removal efficiency of (pure-CPAA) over MB dye under simulated sunlight was 62%. However, (CPAA-TiO2 1%) destroyed 90% of MB dyes. It was discovered that the low band gap of (CPAA-TiO2 1% (2.84 eV)) accelerates high electron-hole recombination, increasing photocatalytic activity.

RESUMEN

A novel mesoporous magnetic biochar (MBC) was prepared, using a randomly growing plant, i.e., common reed, as an exporter of carbon, and applied for removal of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. The prepared sorbent was characterized by nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherm, saturation magnetization, pH of point of zero charges (pHPZC), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The obtained MBC has a specific surface area of 94.2 m2 g-1 and a pore radius of 4.1 nm, a pore volume of 0.252 cm3 g-1, a saturation magnetization of 0.786 emu g-1, and a pHPZC of 6.2. Batch adsorption experiments were used to study the impact of the physicochemical factors involved in the adsorption process. The findings revealed that MB removal by MBC was achieved optimally at pH 8.0, sorbent dosage of 1.0 g L-1, and contact time of 30 min. At these conditions, the maximum adsorption was 353.4 mg g-1. Furthermore, the adsorption isotherm indicated that the Langmuir pattern matched well with the experimental data, compared to the Freindlich model. The ∆G was - 6.7, - 7.1, and - 7.5 kJ mol-1, at 298, 308, and 318 K, respectively, indicating a spontaneous process. The values of ∆H and ∆S were 5.71 kJ mol-1 and 41.6 J mol-1 K-1, respectively, suggesting endothermic and the interaction between MB and MBC is van der Waals type. The absorbent was regenerated and reused for four cycles after elution with 0.1 mol L-1 of HCl. This study concluded that the magnetic biochar generated from common reed has tremendous promise in the practical use of removing MB from wastewater.

RESUMEN

Green and efficient agro-waste-based activated carbon has been prepared utilizing peanut shells for adsorptive elimination of an industrial dye, methylene blue, and lead from polluted water. The carbonaceous biomass obtained from peanut shells was chemically activated using either NaOH, ZnCl2, or steam and characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and N2 adsorption and desorption studies. The adsorption process was optimal for methylene blue at alkaline pH, while pH 4.5 was optimal for Pb (II) adsorption. The adsorption takes place through pseudo-second-order kinetic, and the rate-governing step of the adsorption procedure are intraparticle diffusion and film diffusion. Furthermore, the thermodynamics of the adsorption process has been studied, and the obtained Gibbs free energy (ΔG°) values are negative (- 35.90 to - 43.59 kJ mol-1) indicating the spontaneous adsorption of the investigated pollutants on the prepared activated carbon. As per the correlation coefficient, the obtained results were best fit by the Langmuir isotherm with maximum adsorption capacity of 303.03 mg g-1 for methylene blue and 130.89 mg g-1 for Pb (II). The activated carbon successfully removed methylene blue and Pb (II) with %removal exceeding 95%. The mechanisms of interaction of Pb (II) with the activated carbon is a combination of electrostatic interaction and ion exchange, while methylene blue interacts with the activated carbon via π-π interaction, hydrogen bonds, and electrostatic interaction. Thus, the prepared activated carbon has been employed to decontaminate wastewater and groundwater samples. The developed agro-waste-based activated carbon is a promising, cost-efficient, green, and accessible tool for water remediation.

RESUMEN

INTRODUCTION: Discussions about the optimal lymph node (LN) count and its therapeutic consequences have persisted over time. The final LN count in colorectal tissues is affected by a variety of variables (patient, tumor, operation, pathologist, immune response). Methylene blue (MB) intra-arterial injection is a simple and inexpensive procedure that can be used to enhance lymph node count. AIM: Analyze whether there is a statistically significant difference between intra-arterial methylene blue injection and conventional dissection for the quantification of lymph nodes and determine if there is a variation in the quality of lymph node acquisition. METHODS AND RESULTS: Between 2015 and 2022, we conducted a retrospective analysis of colon cancer specimens. Data on the tumor's features, the number of lymph nodes, the number of lymph nodes that were positive, and other factors had been collected. The number of identified lymph nodes was highly significantly improved in the study group (P < 0.05). There is not a significant statistical difference between groups regarding the metastatic lymph node harvest. The group with injection of intra-arterial methylene blue shows a significantly decreased (P < 0.05) of the of cases with less than 12 lymph nodes recovered comparing with the control group. CONCLUSION: Colon cancer specimens can be easily evaluated concerning lymph nodes using the methylene blue method. Therefore, we strongly advise this approach as a standard procedure in the histological evaluation of colon cancer specimens in order to maximize the identification of lymph nodes. However, the detection of metastatic lymph nodes was unaffected significantly.

RESUMEN

In the pursuit of efficient photocatalytic materials for environmental applications, a new series of g-C3N4/N-doped CeO2 nanocomposites (g-C3N4/N-CeO2 NCs) was synthesized using a straightforward dispersion method. These nanocomposites were systematically characterized to understand their structural, optical, and chemical properties. The photocatalytic performance of g-C3N4/N-CeO2 NCs was evaluated by investigating their ability to degrade methylene blue (MB) dye, a model organic pollutant. The results demonstrate that the integration of g-C3N4 with N-doped CeO2 NCs reduces the optical energy gap compared to pristine N-doped CeO2, leading to enhanced photocatalytic efficiency. It is benefited from the existence of g-C3N4/N-CeO2 NCs not only in promoting the charge separation and inhibits the fast charge recombination but also in improving photocatalytic oxidation performance. Hence, this study highlights the potential of g-C3N4/N-CeO2 NCs as promising candidates for various photocatalytic applications, contributing to the advancement of sustainable environmental remediation technologies.

RESUMEN

This research focuses on the synthesis of novel low-cost granular sorbents based on bentonite clay of the Navbahor deposit, dust fraction of Angren brown coal, and agricultural wastes such as straw and sawdust to meet the internal needs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The impact of the initial mixture ingredients on the structural and textural properties of bentonite-coal sorbents (BCSs) has been studied using X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, optical microscopy, and nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis. For determining the sorption capacity of BCSs, a standard model substance methylene blue (MB), was applied. It was revealed that the maximum adsorption amount of MB was 5.3 mg∙g-1 during 2 h of contact. Prolonging the contact time to 24 h allowed for more extensive diffusion of dye molecules into the sorbent's pores, increasing the adsorption capacity to 13 mg∙g-1. It was demonstrated that BCSs could be regenerated by strong oxidizing agents such as sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide, with sulfuric acid proving more effective. Regeneration fully restores sorption properties, particularly at low dye concentrations (up to 0.2 mg∙ml-1). Despite slight reductions in adsorption capacity over multiple regeneration cycles, the sorbents maintain their structural integrity and durability. It is shown that compared to imported expensive activated carbon, the gross profitability of the in-house production of such granular BCSs within the territory of Uzbekistan increases from 48 to 78%, while the net income increases almost three times.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Infections are complications in the wound healing process, and their treatment can lead to antibiotic overuse and bacterial resistance. Antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) is used to treat infectious diseases caused by fungi, viruses, or bacteria. Methylene blue (MB) and its derivatives are commonly used dyes in antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT-MB). METHODS: This study is a PRISMA systematic review of animal models used to discuss the usefulness and therapeutic parameters of aPDT-MB or its derivatives for treating infected skin wounds. RESULTS: After an extensive literature review, 13 controlled trials totaling 261 animals were selected to evaluate skin infection by leishmaniasis and cutaneous bacterial and fungal infections. All studies found results favoring the use of aPDT-MB. Great variability in parameters was found for radiant exposure from 12 to 360 J/cm2, MB diluted in saline solution or distilled water, irradiation time from 40 to 3600 s, irradiance most commonly at a maximum of 100 mW/cm2, and wavelength used mainly in the 630-670 nm range. CONCLUSION: MB is a safe and promising agent used as a photosensitizer in aPDT for skin-infected lesions. There is great variability in the parameters found. Comparisons concerning concentration, irradiation time, and light intensity need to be performed.

RESUMEN

This study investigates four phenothiazinium dyes including methylene blue (MB) and three analogues containing auxochrome variation 2-4 as oxygen colorimetric indicators prepared by their incorporation into two types of oxygen permeable materials containing: a) polyvinyl alcohol substrate with additional TiO2 photocatalysts (PhOxIn), and b) carboxymethylcellulose polymer matrix containing glucose and KOH (ChOxIn). In vacuum packages where volumetric concentrations of oxygen were below 0.01 %, the leuco forms of the tested phenothiazinum dyes were readily oxidised, initiating the colour turn from white to blue. The redox processes involved were explored by experimental electron paramagnetic resonance EPR and UV-vis spectroscopic methods and further supported by theoretical quantum chemistry. The EPR experiments showed that the chemical oxidation of the leuco-form of the phenothiazinium dyes 1-4 produced transient aminyl radical species with the single electron mainly located at the nitrogen atom of the heterocyclic core. The formation of these transient aminyl species was also perceived by UV-vis spectroscopy, their absorption maxima situated in the 552-592 nm range being also supported by TD-DFT theoretical calculations.

RESUMEN

Chronic periodontitis is a ubiquitous inflammatory disease in dental healthcare that is challenging to treat due to its impact on bone and tooth loss. Conventional mechanical debridement has been challenging in eliminating complex subgingival biofilms. Hence, adjunctive approaches like low-level laser antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (A-PDT) utilising methylene blue (MB) have been emerging approaches in recent times. This review evaluates the latest research on the use of MB-mediated A-PDT to decrease microbial count and enhance clinical results in chronic periodontitis. Studies have shown the interaction between laser light and MB generates a phototoxic effect thereby, eliminating pathogenic bacteria within periodontal pockets. Moreover, numerous clinical trials have shown that A-PDT using MB can reduce probing depths, improve clinical attachment levels, and decrease bleeding during probing in comparison to traditional treatment approaches. Notably, A-PDT shows superior antibiotic resistance compared to conventional antibiotic treatments. In conclusion, the A-PDT using MB shows promise as an adjunctive treatment for chronic periodontitis. Additional research is required to standardize treatment protocols and assess long-term outcomes of A-PDT with MB in the treatment of periodontitis.

RESUMEN

In this review, we compare different refractory anaphylaxis (RA) management guidelines focusing on cardiovascular involvement and best practice recommendations, discuss postulated pathogenic mechanisms underlining RA and highlight knowledge gaps and research priorities. There is a paucity of data supporting existing management guidelines. Therapeutic recommendations include the need for the timely administration of appropriate doses of aggressive fluid resuscitation and intravenous (IV) adrenaline in RA. The preferred second-line vasopressor (noradrenaline, vasopressin, metaraminol and dopamine) is unknown. Most guidelines recommend IV glucagon for patients on beta-blockers, despite a lack of evidence. The use of methylene blue or extracorporeal life support (ECLS) is also suggested as rescue therapy. Despite recent advances in understanding the pathogenesis of anaphylaxis, the factors that lead to a lack of response to the initial adrenaline and thus RA are unclear. Genetic factors, such as deficiency in platelet activating factor-acetyl hydrolase or hereditary alpha-tryptasaemia, mastocytosis may modulate reaction severity or response to treatment. Further research into the underlying pathophysiology of RA may help define potential new therapeutic approaches and reduce the morbidity and mortality of anaphylaxis.

RESUMEN

Hydroxyapatite (HAp) stands as an inorganic compound, recognized as a non-toxic, bioactive ceramic, and its composition closely resembles that of bone material. In this study, nHAp was prepared from waste oyster shells, which are biowaste rich in calcium carbonate. nHAp with its unique catalytic property can be used as an adsorbent in various fields, including wastewater treatment. nHAp with an exceptional surface adsorbent with excellent chemical stability, enabling its catalytic function. Nano hydroxyapatite doped with Zinc oxide (ZnO) by wet chemical precipitation and made into a composite with Graphene oxide (GO) by modified hummers method followed by grinding, which was taken as 9:1 ratio (nHAp/ZnO and GO) of weight, enhances its tensile and mechanical strength. The energy band gap of nHAp photocatalyst was evaluated as 3.39 eV and that of the in nHAp/ZnO/GO photocatalyst was narrowed to 1.77 eV. The ternary nanocomposites are very efficient in generating the photogenerated electrons and holes, thereby improving the degradation potential of dye effluents to by-products such as CO2 and H2O. The nanocomposites photocatalyst were characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, XPS, DRS, and BET techniques. The UV-visible study shows the complete dye degradation efficiency of the prepared nanocomposites photocatalyst. In this study, the prepared nanocomposites nHAp/ZnO/GO have studied their efficiency for the removal of MB dye in a batch process by varying the dosage from 0.1 to 0.5 g, and the effects of dosage variations, pH, kinetic, scavenger study were evaluated at a time interval of 30 min. The removal of dye was found to be 99% at 150 min of 0.3 g dosage and pH = 12 is most favorable as it reached the same percentage at 90 min. The as-prepared nanocomposite nHAp/ZnO/GO fits the kinetic rate constant equation and shows a pseudo-first-order reaction model. This study indicates the suitability for dye removal due to the synergistic effect and electrostatic interaction of the synthesized ternary nanocomposite, which shows the potential, socially active, low-cost-effective, eco-friendly, and safe for photocatalytic degradation of MB from wastewater.

RESUMEN

An electrochemical aptasensor was used for the fast and sensitive detection of zearalenone (ZEN) based on the combination of Co3O4/MoS2/Au nanocomposites and the hybrid chain reaction (HCR). The glassy carbon electrode was coated with Co3O4/MoS2/Au nanomaterials to immobilize the ZEN-cDNA that had been bound with ZEN-Apt by the principle of base complementary pairing. In the absence of ZEN, the HCR could not be triggered because the ZEN-cDNA could not be exposed. After ZEN was added to the surface of the electrode, a complex structure was produced on the modified electrode by the combination of ZEN and ZEN-Apt. Therefore, the ZEN-cDNA can raise the HCR to produce the long-strand dsDNA structure. Due to the formation of dsDNA, the methylene blue (MB) could be inserted into the superstructure of branched DNA and the peak currents of the MB redox signal dramatically increased. So the concentration of ZEN could be detected by the change of signal intensity. Under optimized conditions, the developed electrochemical biosensing strategy showed an outstanding linear detection range of 1.0×10-10 mol/L to 1.0×10-6 mol/L, a low detection limit (LOD) of 8.5×10-11 mol/L with desirable selectivity and stability. Therefore, the fabricated platform possessed a great application potential in fields of food safety, medical detection, and drug analysis.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Primary osteoarthritis (OA) occurs without identifiable underlying causes such as previous injuries or specific medical conditions. Age is a major contributing factor to OA, and as one ages, various joint tissues undergo gradual change, including degeneration of the articular cartilage, alterations in subchondral bone (SCB) morphology, and inflammation of the synovium. METHODS: We investigated the prevalence of primary OA in aged, genetically diverse UM-HET3 mice. Articular cartilage (AC) integrity and SCB morphology were assessed in 182 knee joints of 22-25 months old mice using the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) scoring system and micro-CT, respectively. Additionally, we explored the effects of methylene blue (MB) and mitoquinone (MitoQ), two agents that affect mitochondrial function, on the prevalence and progression of OA during aging. RESULTS: Aged UM-HET3 mice showed a high prevalence of primary OA in both sexes. Significant positive correlations were found between cumulative AC (cAC) scores and synovitis in both sexes, and osteophyte formation in female mice. Ectopic chondrogenesis did not show significant correlations with cAC scores. Significant direct correlations were found between AC scores and inflammatory markers in chondrocytes, including matrix metalloproteinase-13, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and the NLR family pyrin domain containing-3 inflammasome in both sexes, indicating a link between OA severity and inflammation. Additionally, markers of cell cycle arrest, such as p16 and ß-galactosidase, also correlated with AC scores. In male mice, no significant correlations were found between SCB morphology traits and cAC scores, while in female mice, significant correlations were found between cAC scores and tibial SCB plate bone mineral density. Notably, MB and MitoQ treatments influenced the disease's progression in a sex-specific manner. MB treatment significantly reduced cAC scores at the medial knee joint, while MitoQ treatment reduced cAC scores, but these did not reach significance. CONCLUSIONS: Our study provides comprehensive insights into the prevalence and progression of primary OA in aged UM-HET3 mice, highlighting the sex-specific effects of MB and MitoQ treatments. The correlations between AC scores and various pathological factors underscore the multifaceted nature of OA and its association with inflammation and subchondral bone changes.

RESUMEN

This work successfully demonstrates a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach for synthesizing Semal-ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) using the aqueous leaf extract of Bombax ceiba L. These NPs exhibit an absorption peak at approximately 390 nm in the UV-visible spectrum and an energy gap (Eg) of 3.11 eV. Detailed analyses of the morphology and particle size using various spectroscopic and microscopic techniques, XRD, FE-SEM with EDS, and HR-TEM reveal crystallographic peaks attributable to the hexagonal phase, with an average crystal size of 17 nm. The Semal-ZnO NPs also exhibit a notable photocatalytic efficiency for degrading methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) under sunlight in different water samples collected from diverse natural sources, indicating that they are promising photocatalysts for environmental remediation. The photocatalytic efficiency of the biofabricated Semal-ZnO NPs is impressive, exhibiting a photodegradation rate of up to 99% for MB and 79% for MO in different water samples under exposure to sunlight. The novel phytofabricated Semal-ZnO NPs are thus a beacon of hope for the environment, with their desirable photocatalytic efficiency, pseudo-first-order kinetics, and ability to break down noxious dye pollutants in various aquatic environments.

RESUMEN

In the current study, a wide range of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) with different properties (hydrophilic, hydrophobic, ionic, and nonionic) were prepared in the initial phase. Subsequently, an assessment was conducted to evaluate some characteristics of the produced DESs, including their stability at room temperature and their capacity to extract three distinct types of analytes (anionic, cationic, and non-ionic) simultaneously through hollow fiber-liquid phase microextraction (HF-LPME) technique. To carry out the extraction procedure, the prepared DESs were inserted into the pores (as supported liquid membrane (SLM)) and lumen of hollow fiber membrane (HF) to apply two-phase and three-phase HF-LPME techniques. After a thorough evaluation, the three-phase HF-LPME technique (HF(3)-LPME) was chosen by using a mixture of menthol/TBAB-based hydrophobic DES (DES-35) as SLM and the mixture of malic acid/citric acid/water-based hydrophilic DES (DES-2) as an extraction solvent in the lumen of HF. All factors affecting the extraction recovery (including pH, extraction time, extraction temperature, stirring speed, and salt effect) were optimized utilizing the one-variable-at-a-time (OVAT) methodology. After applying the extraction procedure, all extracted samples were analyzed using the UV-Vis spectrometer and results were recorded at different wavelengths including 655 nm for Methylene blue, 550 nm for Amaranth, and 375 nm for Quercetin. The calibration graphs showed linearity in the range of 20.0-1500 µg/L, with a limit of detection of 6.2-15.1 µg/L and correlation coefficients higher than 0.9913 for the studied analytes. Moreover, the intra-day RSD, inter-day RSD, preconcentration factor (PF), enrichment factors (EF), and extraction recoveries (ER%) were obtained in the range of 3.1-4.8, 3.8-6.7, 125, 102.9-111.4, and 82.3-89.1 %, respectively. The use of the selected DES in the HF-LPME methodology resulted in an ecologically friendly strategy, as evidenced by the use of green metrics from the SPMS tool. The proposed strategy is also considered environmentally friendly due to its use of minimal solvents, waste reduction, and low energy consumption. The proposed technique effectively and simultaneously extractedmethylene blue, amaranth, and quercetin analytes in different real samples.

RESUMEN

This study employs a combination of mathematical derivation and optimization technique to investigate the adsorption of drug molecules on nanocarriers. Specifically, the chemotherapy drugs, fluorouracil, proflavine, and methylene blue, are non-covalently bonded with either a flat graphene sheet or a spherical C 60 fullerene. Mathematical expressions for the interaction energy between an atom and graphene, as well as between an atom and C 60 fullerene, are derived. Subsequently, a discrete summation is evaluated for all atoms on the drug molecule utilizing the U-NSGA-III algorithm. The stable configurations' three-dimensional architectures are presented, accompanied by numerical values for crucial parameters. The results indicate that the nanocarrier's structure effectively accommodates the atoms on the drug's carbon planes. The three drug types' molecules disperse across the graphene surface, whereas only fluorouracil spreads on the C 60 surface; proflavine and methylene blue stack vertically to form a layer. Furthermore, all atomic positions of equilibrium configurations for all systems are obtained. This hybrid method, integrating analytical expressions and an optimization process, significantly reduces computational time, representing an initial step in studying the binding of drug molecules on nanocarriers.

RESUMEN

Indoxacarb, an oxadiazine insecticide, is known for its selective lethality by blocking neuronal voltage-dependent sodium channels. While primarily developed to target insect populations resistant to other pesticides, its toxicity in humans remains poorly understood. We present a case of methemoglobinemia resulting from indoxacarb ingestion, a rare manifestation of its toxic effects. A 38-year-old farmer attempted suicide by ingesting the insecticide, leading to cyanosis, hypoxemia, and characteristic arterial blood gas findings indicative of methemoglobinemia. Prompt diagnosis was challenging due to the absence of specific tests, necessitating clinical suspicion. Treatment with methylene blue and supportive therapy resulted in significant clinical improvement, highlighting the importance of early intervention in managing indoxacarb poisoning. This case underscores the need for increased awareness among healthcare providers regarding the potential toxic effects of indoxacarb. It emphasizes the importance of prompt recognition and treatment of methemoglobinemia in pesticide-related poisonings.
