BACKGROUND: Restless arms syndrome (RAS) is the most common variant of restless legs syndrome (RLS), which is easy to be ignored in clinical practice due to the lack of specific diagnostic criteria. When effective therapeutic agents induced RAS and symptoms persisted after briefly observation, clinicians will face the challenge of weighing efficacy against side effects. CASE PRESENTATION: A 67-year-old woman was admitted to a geriatric psychiatric ward with depression. Upon admission, the escitalopram dose was reduced from 15 mg to 10 mg per day, and the duloxetine dose was increased from 60 mg to 80 mg per day. The next night before bedtime, she developed itching and creeping sensations deep inside bilateral shoulders and arms, with the urge to move, worsening at rest, and alleviation after hammering. The symptoms persisted when escitalopram was discontinued. A history of RLS was confirmed. Treatment with 40 mg of duloxetine and 0.125 mg of pramipexole significantly improved depression, and the paresthesia disappeared, with no recurrence occurring 6 months after discharge. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: This case suggests that psychiatrists should pay attention to RLS variants when increasing doses of duloxetine. Long-term improvement can be achieved through dosage reduction combined with dopaminergic drugs instead of immediate discontinuation.

PURPOSE: There is no consensus in the current literature on the analgesic role of duloxetine after total hip arthroplasty (THA) or total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Thus, we designed this meta-analysis to reveal the analgesic effectiveness and safety of duloxetine in TKA or THA. METHODS: As of October 2022, two authors (L.C. and W.Q.J.) independently searched five main databases (EMBASE, Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar) to find relevant studies. Duloxetine vs. placebo in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for THA or TKA were included. We set perioperative total opioid consumption as the primary outcome. Secondary outcomes included resting or dynamic pain scores over time, gastrointestinal adverse events, neurological adverse events, and other adverse reactions. RESULTS: Eight RCTs with 695 patients were incorporated in our study. This meta-analysis showed high evidence that duloxetine was effective in reducing perioperative opioid consumption (Standard mean difference [SMD] = - 0.50, 95% confidence intervals [CI]: -0.70 to - 0.31, P < 0.00001) and low to moderate evidence that duloxetine could reduce pain within three weeks after surgery. Low to high evidence showed no differences between the two groups for most adverse events. Substantial evidence suggests that duloxetine can reduce nausea and vomiting after surgery (Risk ratio [RR] = 0.69, 95% CI: 0.50 to 0.95, P = 0.02, I2 = 4%). However, moderate evidence suggested that duloxetine might be associated with increased postoperative drowsiness (RR = 1.83, 95% CI: 1.08 to 3.09, P = 0.02, I2 = 0%). CONCLUSION: Duloxetine reduced overall opioid consumption in the perioperative period and relieved pain within three weeks after surgery without increasing the risk of adverse drug events. Duloxetine can be part of a multimodal management regimen in patients with THA and TKA.

BACKGROUND: Although duloxetine has shown a positive effect on pain relief with hip and knee osteoarthritis, there is no pooled analysis of duloxetine for pain relief and opioid consumption in patients after total hip or knee arthroplasty. AIM: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to analyze pain control, opioid consumption, and associated adverse events of perioperative administration of duloxetine after total hip or knee arthroplasty. METHOD: After being registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022323202), the databases of MEDLINE, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and ClinicalTrials.gov were searched from inception until March 20, 2023, for randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Primary outcomes were the visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain scores at rest (rVAS) and upon ambulation (aVAS). Secondary outcomes were postoperative opioid consumption quantified as oral morphine milligram equivalents (MMEs) and adverse effects of duloxetine. RESULTS: Nine RCTs with 806 cases were included. Duloxetine was associated with lower VAS scores at different times after surgery (24 h, two weeks, and ≥ 3 months). Compared to placebo, perioperative daily duloxetine use significantly reduced daily opioid MMEs at 24 h (standard mean deviation [SMD] -0.71, 95% confidence interval [95% CI] -1.19 to -0.24, P = 0.003), three days (SMD -1.10, 95% CI -1.70 to -0.50, P = 0.0003), and one week (SMD -1.18, 95% CI -1.99 to -0.38, P = 0.004) after surgery. The duloxetine group had a significantly lower rate of nausea (odds ratio 0.62, 95% CI [0.41 to 0.94], P = 0.02) and a higher rate of drowsiness and somnolence (odds ratio 1.87, 95% CI [1.13 to 3.07], P = 0.01) compared to the placebo group. No significant differences were observed in the rates of other adverse events. CONCLUSION:  Perioperative duloxetine significantly decreased postoperative pain and opioid consumption with good safety profiles. Further high quality designed and well-controlled randomized trials are warranted.

Development of painful oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy (OIPN) is a major problem in people who receive oxaliplatin as part of cancer treatment. The pain experienced by those with OIPN can be seriously debilitating and lead to discontinuation of an otherwise successful treatment. Duloxetine is currently the only recommended treatment for established painful OIPN recommended by the American Society of Clinical Oncology, but its preventative ability is still not clear. This study examined the ability of duloxetine to prevent signs of chronic OIPN in female (n = 12) and male (n = 21) rats treated with the chemotherapeutic agent oxaliplatin. Using an established model of OIPN, rats were started on duloxetine (15 mg) one week prior to oxaliplatin administration and continued duloxetine for 32 days. Behavioral testing for mechanical allodynia and mechanical hyperalgesia was done with selected von Frey filaments. Significant posttreatment differences were found for allodynia in female (p = .004), but not male rats. Duloxetine was associated with significant differences for hyperalgesia in both female (p < .001) and male (p < .001) rats. These findings provide preliminary evidence of the preventative effects of duloxetine on both oxaliplatin-induced allodynia and hyperalgesia in male and female rats, with a difference noted in response between the sexes.

ABSTRACT: In persons with narcolepsy type 1, sudden withdrawal of antidepressants can cause status cataplecticus. We describe a 77-year-old female patient with long-standing history of narcolepsy type 1 complaining of recurrent short sudden episodes of whole-body paralysis, with preserved consciousness and memory. Episodes started an hour after her family invited her to celebrate Mother's Day. One week prior, patient had abruptly discontinued duloxetine. Cataplectic episodes resolved within 24 hours after resumption of duloxetine and treatment of hypokalemia. Status cataplecticus has been reported after withdrawal of venlafaxine, fluoxetine, and clomipramine. This is the first report of status cataplecticus due to duloxetine withdrawal. We review the pathophysiology of antidepressant withdrawal-induced status cataplecticus. In persons with narcolepsy type 1, physicians discontinuing any antidepressant should counsel on adverse effects of antidepressant withdrawal and reduce the dose in tapering manner.

BACKGROUND: Duloxetine, a serotonin-norepinephrine dual reuptake inhibitor, may improve analgesia after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). However, there is still no consensus on its effectiveness and safety. We conducted the meta-analysis to investigate the analgesic effect and safety of duloxetine for the treatment of patients received total knee or hip arthroplasty. METHODS: Pubmed, Cochrane Central Registry for Clinical Trials, Embase, OVID, Web of Science, and Google Scholar were searched using a predetermined search strategy from inception to September 21, 2022. Only randomized controlled trials of duloxetine in treatment of patients after total knee or hip arthroplasty were included. Data collection and extraction, quality assessment, and data analyses were performed according to the Cochrane standards. RESULTS: A total of 8 randomized controlled trials with 739 patients were included in the literature review of postoperative pain and adverse effects. The result of meta-analysis showed statistically significant lower opioid requirement with duloxetine (P < .05) for the different postoperative period. Duloxetine group had significant reductions in visual analog score for the 24-hour (walking: WMD = -0.98; 95% confidence interval [CI] = -1.69 to -0.26, P = .007; resting: WMD = -1.06; 95%CI = -1.85 to -0.27, P = .008) and 1-week (walking: WMD = -0.96; 95%CI = -1.42 to -0.50, P < .001; resting: WMD = -0.69; 95%CI = -1.22 to -0.16, P = .01); knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score over 3-month (WMD = 2.94; 95%CI = -0.30 to 6.18, P = .008) and complication (odds ratio = 4.74; 95%CI = 0.23 to 96.56, P = .01) postoperative period compared with the control group. However, no difference on numeric rating scale (P > .05) for the different postoperative period; visual analog score (P > .05) for the 6-week or 3-month and knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score (P > .05) for the 6-week postoperative period. Furthermore, it did not increase the incidence of adverse effects (odds ratio = 0.87; 95%CI = 0.72 to 1.05, P = .15). CONCLUSION: Duloxetine could decrease the opioids consumption and relieve early postoperative pain without increasing the risk of adverse medication effects in patients undergoing total knee or hip arthroplasty. Considering the ongoing opioid epidemic, duloxetine could act as a good supplement in multimodal pain management protocol for patients undergoing total joint arthroplasty.

Authors report on an interesting case of a teenager with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and comorbid generalized anxiety disorder, who developed takotsubo cardiomyopathy subsequent to pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions between atomoxetine, a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, and the antidepressant duloxetine. Clinicians should be mindful of the potential for cardiovascular adverse effects when prescribing agents that target noradrenergic receptors.

INTRODUCTION: Refractory cough, a chronic cough with an unclear diagnosis or poor treatment response. The symptoms are often stubborn and persistent, causing serious complications and lowering the patient's quality of life. Cough hypersensitivity syndrome (CHS) is proposed as a potential cause, and reducing sensory nerve hyperresponsiveness is suggested as an effective treatment. However, current drugs have low efficacy and benefit rates and numerous side effects. This trail proposes using duloxetine, a selective 5-HT and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, as a potential treatment for refractory cough, which has shown promise in treating pain and depression. Duloxetine may inhibit pain conduction and oxidative stress in peripheral nerves by inhibiting the activity of TRPV1 channels, which play an important role in the peripheral afferent pathway of refractory cough. Meanwhile, the antidepressant effects of duloxetine may also play a role in the treatment of refractory cough. METHODS AND ANALYSIS: This is a single-center, prospective, randomized, double-blind, and controlled trial. A total of 98 individuals will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to duloxetine group and placebo control group (starting with 20 mg QD, increasing 20 mg daily until 20 mg TID). After a screening period, the second stage runs from baseline to the 42nd (last) day of treatment, with follow-up visits on the 3rd, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, 35th, 42nd and 49th days. The main end-stage observation indicators include objective cough frequency, cough visual analog scale (VAS), cough symptom score, Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ), and cough evaluation test (CET); the secondary end-stage observation indicators include capsaicin cough sensitivity, Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Major Depression Inventory (MDI), the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale (GAD-7), Life Events Scale (LES-32), induced sputum supernatant. The safety measures will be AEs/SAEs, vital signs, liver and kidney function, fecal occult blood test. DISCUSSION: This study is the first randomized, double-blind, and controlled clinical trial investigating the use of duloxetine in the treatment of refractory coughs. The study aims to provide a high-quality basis for evaluating the efficacy and safety of duloxetine for this condition. TRIAL REGISTRATION: Our study was registered in the Chinese Clinical Trials Register ( www.chictr.org.cn/ ) (ChiCTR2000037429) in 28/08/2020.

OBJECTIVES: Fibromyalgia (FM) is characterised by a form of debilitating pain that is unresponsive to standard analgesics. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of supplementing ongoing pregabalin (PGB) and duloxetine (DLX) treatment with palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) for 24 weeks in FM patients. METHODS: After undergoing three months of stable treatment with DLX+PGB, FM patients were randomised to continue the same treatment (Group 1) or to add PEA 600 mg b.i.d + ALC 500 mg b.i.d. (Group 2) for a further 12 weeks. Every two weeks throughout the study, cumulative disease severity was estimated using the Widespread Pain Index (WPI) as the primary outcome measure; the secondary outcomes were the fortnightly scores of the patient-completed revised Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQR) and the modified Fibromyalgia Assessment Status (FASmod) questionnaire. All three measures were expressed as time-integrated area under the curve (AUC) values. RESULTS: One hundred and thirty (91.5%) of the initial 142 FM patients completed the study: 68 patients in Group 1 and 62 in Group 2. Twenty-four weeks after randomisation, the Group 2 patients showed additional significant improvements in all three outcome measures. Although there was some fluctuation in both groups during the study period, the AUC values of the WPI scores steadily decreased in Group 2 (p=0.048), which also showed better outcomes in terms of the AUC values of the FIQR (p=0.033) and FASmod scores (p=0.017). CONCLUSIONS: This is the first randomised controlled study demonstrating the effectiveness of the adding on therapy of PEA+ALC to DLX+PGB in FM patients.

BACKGROUND: Chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMP) is a complex condition that is mainly treated with analgesic drugs. However, antidepressant intervention is also an important factor in the treatment of CMP. Duloxetine is an effective treatment option for patients with CMP as its antidepressant effect. The purpose of this article is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of duloxetine in treating CMP. DATABASES AND DATA TREATMENT: We searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library from inception to May, 2022. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the efficacy and safety of duloxetine versus placebo in patients with CMP were included. We identified 13 articles and studied a population of 4201 participants in 4 countries. RESULTS: This meta-analysis showed that the duloxetine has statistically significant compared with the placebo control, benefits on 24-hour average pain, living quality, physical function, and global impressions and there was no difference in the incidence of serious adverse event. In general, duloxetine can improve mood and pain level at the same time. CONCLUSIONS: This review shows a significant contribution of duloxetine to CMP symptom relief. This meta-analysis improved that duloxetine can significantly reduce the pain level of patients, improve depressive symptoms and global impression, and has no obvious serious adverse reactions. However, additional studies are required to confirm the relationship between psychological diseases and chronic pain and explore their internal links.

BACKGROUND: Desvenlafaxine and duloxetine are selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. Their efficacy has not been directly compared using statistical hypotheses. This study evaluated the non-inferiority of desvenlafaxine extended-release (XL) to duloxetine in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). METHODS: In this study, 420 adult patients with moderate-to-severe MDD were enrolled and randomly assigned (1:1) to receive 50 mg (once daily [QD]) of desvenlafaxine XL (n = 212) or 60 mg QD of duloxetine (n = 208). The primary endpoint was evaluated using a non-inferiority comparison based on the change from baseline to 8 weeks in the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD17) total score. Secondary endpoints and safety were evaluated. RESULTS: Least-squares mean change in HAM-D17 total score from baseline to 8 weeks was -15.3 (95% confidence interval [CI]: -17.73, -12.89) in the desvenlafaxine XL group and - 15.9 (95% CI, -18.44, -13.39) in the duloxetine group. The least-squares mean difference was 0.6 (95% CI: -0.48, 1.69), and the upper boundary of 95% CI was less than the non-inferiority margin (2.2). No significant between-treatment differences were found in most secondary efficacy endpoints. The incidence of the most common treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) was lower for desvenlafaxine XL than for duloxetine for nausea (27.2% versus 48.8%) and dizziness (18.0% versus 28.8%). LIMITATIONS: A short-term non-inferiority study without a placebo arm. CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrated that desvenlafaxine XL 50 mg QD was non-inferior to duloxetine 60 mg QD in efficacy in patients with MDD. Desvenlafaxine had a lower incidence of TEAEs than duloxetine did.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Duloxetine on electrodiagnostic findings of Paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with breast cancer. This randomized, double-blind clinical trial was conducted on 40 patients with breast cancer who received Paclitaxel as their first chemotherapy session. All the patients were randomly allocated into two groups, intervention (20 subjects) and placebo (20 subjects). The intervention group received 30 mg duloxetine/day in the first week, followed by 60 mg (twice daily) until 8 weeks. The patient neurotoxicity questionnaire (PNQ) was used to evaluate the severity of neuropathy. Nerve conduction study was also performed. The evaluations were performed at the baseline and 8 weeks after the treatment. Out of 20 subjects in the placebo group, 10 (50%) patients had neurotoxicity (two milds, three moderate, four severe, and one incapacitated), according to PNQ. However, in the duloxetine group, two patients had mild neurotoxicity ( P = 0.03). Significant differences between groups related to the mean of Median Sensory Latency ( P <0.001), Median Motor Latency ( P < 0.001), and Median Motor velocity ( P = 0.001) were reported. However, the relative risk of polyneuropathy between the two groups (relative risk: 1) was not significant. Regarding the results, duloxetine could be an effective treatment for preventing paclitaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with breast cancer, and an electrodiagnostic study confirmed this effect.

BACKGROUND: Quantitative reports suggest that the assessment and management of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in practice is suboptimal. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this qualitative analysis was to explore clinician-related perspectives of CIPN assessment, management, and the use of a CIPN decision support tool. METHODS: Clinicians from the breast oncology, gastrointestinal oncology, or multiple myeloma disease centers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute who interacted with a CIPN clinician decision support algorithm were eligible to participate in the semi-structured interviews. The interview guide included questions about CIPN assessment, management, and clinician-decision support tool use. All interviews were audio-recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using inductive content analysis. RESULTS: Of the 39 eligible clinicians, 15 agreed to be interviewed. Interviewed clinicians were mainly physicians (73.3) and White, non-Hispanic (93.3%). Main themes from the interviews included (1) CIPN management practice patterns (eg, endorsement of non-recommended management strategies or lack of standardization for chemotherapy dose reduction) and barriers (eg, insurance prior authorizations required for duloxetine prescription), (2) CIPN assessment practice patterns (eg, use of subjective instead of objective CIPN assessment approaches) and barriers (eg, difficult to interpret patients' CIPN report between visits), and (3) utilization of the clinician decision support tool (eg, all assessment tasks lead to same management options). CONCLUSIONS: There are several barriers to clinicians' use of evidence-based CIPN assessment and management strategies. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE: Future work should be focused on addressing barriers to duloxetine prescription, developing evidence-based CIPN assessment and management strategies, improving symptom monitoring, and facilitating referrals to existing supportive care services.

PURPOSE: The following case report discusses probable clitoral priapism secondary to duloxetine and pregabalin. While this is a rare adverse effect, it is possible given the mechanism of action and potentiating effects of the combined therapy. This adverse drug reaction was reported to MedWatch and shows that additional research into the physiology of clitoral erection is warranted given the scarcity of information on how drugs influence this reaction. SUMMARY: A 53-year-old African American female with uncontrolled anxiety was started on duloxetine. Pregabalin was added 1 month later due to continued feelings of anxiety. Three weeks later, the patient reported symptoms of clitoral pain, as well as a swollen, tender, and erect clitoris. These adverse effects remained for 4 days, prompting the patient to present to the emergency department where a physical exam was completed with no significant finding except as noted above. Pregabalin was immediately discontinued by the attending physician based on the probability that the swelling was likely drug-induced clitoral priapism. During follow-up, the patient continued to note clitoral erection and pain. The psychiatric pharmacist tapered off duloxetine over 2 weeks with resolution of symptoms. In an examination of the mechanism of action of both drugs, pregabalin can amplify duloxetine's inhibitory effects on voltage-dependent calcium channels. It is likely this mechanism that causes smooth muscle relaxation and led to clitoral priapism. CONCLUSION: This case suggests that pharmacological agents affecting vasoconstriction through serotonergic receptors or calcium-dependent channels can also influence clitoral erection.

INTRODUCTION: Duloxetine has previously been reported to be promising in the setting of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). The aim of this study was to conduct a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis, on the use of duloxetine in prevention and treatment of CIPN. METHODS: PubMed, Embase and Cochrane CENTRAL were searched from database inception up until April 2022. Articles were included in this review if they reported on duloxetine use in the setting of CIPN, in a multiarm comparative human trial. A random effects DerSimonian-Laird model was used to calculate summary risk ratios (RR) and corresponding 95% CIs, comparing duloxetine to placebo. This review was registered on. RESULTS: Seven randomised controlled trials that included 645 patients were identified. Five reported on duloxetine for treatment of CIPN, and two for prevention of CIPN. Two studies had some concern for bias. Duloxetine was statistically similar to placebo in its efficacy, both in the treatment (RR 0.92, 95% CI 0.84 to 1.01) and prevention (RR 1.02, 95% CI 0.87 to 1.19) of CIPN. Safety profile was similar, in the treatment (RR 1.31, 95% CI 0.90 to 1.89) and prevention (RR 1.52, 95% CI 0.98 to 2.38) setting. CONCLUSION: There is currently limited evidence supporting duloxetine's use for CIPN. There is a need for more comprehensive and higher-quality trials assessing duloxetine in the setting of CIPN, before further clinical practice recommendations. Background: Treatment of neuropathic pain is challenging. Pregabalin and duloxetine are used as first-line therapy. Various international guidelines recommend a combination of first-line agents for the management of neuropathic pain. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a fixed-dose combination (FDC) of low-dose pregabalin and duloxetine compared to pregabalin monotherapy at week 7 in patients with moderate to severe neuropathic pain. Methods: This was a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, double-dummy parallel-group non-inferiority study conducted at 17 sites across India. Three hundred and twenty-eight adult patients with moderate to severe neuropathic pain were randomized in a ratio of 1:1 to receive a FDC of pregabalin and duloxetine or pregabalin monotherapy for 7 weeks followed by a one-week follow-up. The pregabalin-duloxetine combination was initiated at 50 plus 20 mg per day and gradually titrated to a maximum of 75mg plus 30mg twice daily. Pregabalin was initiated at 75mg/day and gradually titrated to a maximum of 150mg twice daily. The main efficacy outcome was a mean change in pain intensity at the end of 7 weeks. Results: Two hundred and ninety-eight patients completed the study, 148 in the pregabalin-duloxetine group and 150 in the pregabalin group. The mean change in daily pain at 7 weeks was as follows: -4.49 with FDC and -4.66 with pregabalin (p<0.0001). The non-inferiority of a low-dose FDC compared to pregabalin monotherapy was demonstrated at the end of the study. The incidence of dizziness and somnolence was comparable between both treatments. A higher frequency of peripheral oedema was observed with pregabalin monotherapy than in the FDC group (p>0.05). Conclusions: A FDC of low doses of pregabalin and duloxetine and high dose of pregabalin monotherapy achieved similar analgesia with dizziness, and somnolence as the most frequent adverse event. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of pharmacotherapies for chronic pain due to osteoarthritis (OA) between a group with duloxetine (DLX) and S-flurbiprofen plaster (SFPP) (the SFPP group) and a group with DLX and conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (the control group). The subjects were 49 patients (17 men and 32 women). The evaluation of factors associated with treatment termination due to symptoms improvement showed that significantly more women terminated treatment than did men, and significantly more members of the SFPP group terminated treatment than did members of the control group. The visual analogue scale (VAS) score in the SFPP group was significantly improved from 6.6 ± 1.7 before treatment to 3.6 ± 2.1 one month later and showed significant difference until nine months later. The VAS score in the control group was significantly improved from 6.7 ± 1.9 to 4.1 ± 2.8 one month later. The VAS score improvement rate was significantly higher in the SFPP group than in the control group, suggesting that the DLX-SFPP combination had higher efficacy than the DLX-conventional NSAIDs combination. The incidence of adverse drug reactions was 55% in the SFPP group, which is not significantly different from 50% incidence in the control group. The treatment discontinuation rate due to adverse drug reactions, however, was 60% in the control group and 19% in the SFPP group. It was suggested that the efficacy and safety of the DLX-SFPP combination for chronic pain due to OA are equal to or higher than that of the DLX-conventional NSAIDs combination.
