It is by now clear that pediatrician's interest about adolescent's matters is very much increasing. The Authors take into consideration vulvovaginitis, a particular matter which is very frequent during this period of life and describe its most important clinical aspects.

The vaginal application of sugar powder after cryotherapy considerably decreased the amount and duration of leukorrhea following cryotherapy of benign alterations of the uterine cervix. The time needed for epithelialization of the surface of the portio became shorter. The method is recommended for the decrease or elimination of the discomfort caused by post-cryotherapeutic leukorrhea.

Fifty patients with cervical erosions causing symptoms were treated with cryosurgery. Healing was complete in 41 (91%) out of 45 patients who were seen six weeks later, and in 21 patients who were followed up in greater detail the rate of symptomatic relief was high. All the patients who were treated without anaesthesia found the procedure acceptable. Only one patient noted post-operative bleeding, and this was minimal.
