ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Previous studies have revealed that a high-fat diet (HFD) promotes the progression of colorectal cancer (CRC) in close association with disturbances in the intestinal flora and metabolic disorders. Xianglian pill (XLP) is a well-established traditional prescription with unique advantages in controlling intestinal flora imbalance and inflammation. However, its therapeutic effects on HFD-related CRC remain largely unknown. AIM OF THE STUDY: The primary objective of this research was to investigate the anticancer mechanism of XLP in countering HFD-related CRC. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The protective effect of XLP was evaluated using azoxymethane (AOM) and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced CRC model of mice exposed to a HFD. The degree of colorectal carcinogenesis, including body weight, colon length, and histopathology, was measured in mice treated with XLP and untreated mice. The effect of XLP on gut microbiota and its metabolites was detected using 16s rDNA and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry analysis. Furthermore, a "pseudo-sterile" mouse model was constructed using antibiotics (Abx) to verify whether the gut microbiota and metabolites play a role in the pathogenesis of CRC. RESULTS: XLP inhibited colorectal tumorigenesis in a dose-dependent fashion. Our findings also highlighted that XLP protected the integrity of the intestinal barrier by reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6 and TNF-α, as well as the infiltration of pro-inflammatory macrophages. Mechanistically, XLP inhibited the TLR4/MyD88 pathway. Notably, the XLP treatment increased the proportion of probiotics (particularly Akkermansia) and significantly reduced fecal deoxycholic acid (DCA), a microbiota-derived metabolite of bile acids (BA) closely related to Muribaculaceae. Furthermore, after Abx treatment, XLP showed no clear antitumor effects on CRC. Simultaneously, DCA-supplemented feedings promoted colorectal tumorigenesis and provoked obvious colonic inflammation, M1 macrophage infiltration, and colonic injury. In vitro, the results of RAW-264.7 macrophages and normal intestinal epithelial cells treated with DCA corroborated our in vivo findings, demonstrating consistent patterns in inflammatory responses and intestinal barrier protein expression. CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that XLP inhibits colorectal cancer associated with HFD via inactivating TLR4/MyD88 by remodeling gut microbiota composition and BA metabolism.

Temozolomide (TMZ) is a widely utilized chemotherapy treatment for patients with glioblastoma (GBM), although drug resistance constitutes a major therapeutic hurdle. Emerging evidence suggests that ferroptosis-mediated therapy could offer an appropriate alternative treatment option against cancer cells that are resistant to certain drugs. However, recurrent gliomas display robust ferroptosis resistance, although the precise mechanism of resistance remains elusive. In the present work, we report that proline rich protein 11 (PRR11) depletion significantly sensitizes GBM cells to TMZ by inducing ferroptosis. Mechanistically, PRR11 directly binds to and stabilizes dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH), which leads to glioma ferroptosis-resistant in a DHODH-dependent manner in vivo and in vitro. Furthermore, PRR11 inhibits HERC4 and DHODH binding, by suppressing the recruitment of E3 ubiquitin ligase HERC4 and polyubiquitination degradation of DHODH at the K306 site, which maintains DHODH protein stability. Importantly, downregulated PRR11 increases lipid peroxidation and alters DHODH-mediated mitochondrial morphology, thereby promoting ferroptosis and increasing TMZ chemotherapy sensitivity. In conclusion, our results reveal a mechanism via which PRR11 drives ferroptosis resistance and identifies ferroptosis induction and TMZ as an attractive combined therapeutic strategy for GBM.

Psychological stress affects the neuroendocrine regulation, which modulates mental status and behaviors. Melatonin, a hormone synthesized primarily by the pineal gland, regulates many brain functions, including circadian rhythms, pain, sleep, and mood. Selective pharmacological melatonin agonist ramelteon has been clinically used to treat mood and sleep disorders. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric condition associated with severe trauma; it is generally triggered by traumatic events, which lead to severe anxiety and uncontrollable trauma recall. We recently reported that repeated social defeat stress (RSDS) may induce robust anxiety-like behaviors and social avoidance in mice. In the present study, we investigated whether melatonin receptor activation by melatonin and ramelteon regulates RSDS-induced behavioral changes. Melatonin treatment improved social avoidance and anxiety-like behaviors in RSDS mice. Moreover, treatment of the non-selective MT1/MT2 receptor agonist, ramelteon, markedly ameliorated RSDS-induced social avoidance and anxiety-like behaviors. Moreover, activating melatonin receptors also balanced the expression of monoamine oxidases, glucocorticoid receptors, and endogenous antioxidants in the hippocampus. Taken together, our findings indicate that the activation of both melatonin and ramelteon regulates RSDS-induced anxiety-like behaviors and PTSD symptoms. The current study also showed that the regulatory effects of neuroendocrine mechanisms and cognitive behaviors on melatonin receptor activation in repeated social defeat stress.

The demographic structure is an important factor influencing the development of the services industry. As the country with the world's most serious aging problem, China's service industry structure is likely to undergo profound changes in response to the rapid demographic transition. Therefore, this paper examines the effect of population aging on the development of the service industry in the context of China's accelerating population aging. The study found that: (1) Population aging has a significant "inverted U" effect on the development of the services industry. (2) The impact of population aging on the development of the service industry has obvious regional and industry heterogeneity. The study of regional heterogeneity found that population aging in economically developed regions has a more obvious effect on the development of the service industry than in economically less developed regions. Industry heterogeneity studies found that population aging has an obvious promotional effect on the development of medical and other rigid demand industries, while the effect on other non-rigid demand industries is not significant. (3) The threshold effect test found that when the degree of population aging exceeds the threshold, the stimulating effect of population aging on the development of the services industry is no longer significant. The research in this paper provides useful insights into the likely response to changes in the industrial structure of the services industry, and offers some implications for countries with similar demographic profiles to China.

Background: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a nervous system disease leading to motor and sensory dysfunction below the injury level, and can result in paralysis. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play a key role in SCI treatment, and related research provides insights for SCI diagnosis and treatment. Bibliometrics is an important tool for literature statistics and evaluation, objectively summarizing multidimensional information. This study comprehensively overviews the field through bibliometric analysis of miRNA and SCI research, providing contemporary resources for future collaboration and clinical treatment. Materials and methods: In this study, we searched the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) database. After careful screening and data import, we extracted annual publications, citation counts, countries, institutions, authors, journals, highly cited articles, co-cited articles, keywords, and H-index. Bibliometrics and visualization analyses employed VOSviewer, CiteSpace, the R package "bibliometrix," and online analytic platforms. Using Arrowsmith, we determined miRNA-SCI relationships and discussed potential miRNA mechanisms in SCI. Results: From 2008 to 2024, the number of related papers increased annually, reaching 754. The number of yearly publications remained high and entered a period of rapid development. Researchers from 50 countries/regions, 802 institutions, 278 journals, and 3,867 authors participated in the field. Currently, China has advantages in the number of national papers, citations, institutions, and authors. However, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation among different authors, institutions, and countries to promote the production of important academic achievements. The research in the field currently focuses on nerve injury, apoptosis, and gene expression. Future research directions mainly involve molecular mechanisms, clinical trials, exosomes, and inflammatory reactions. Conclusion: Overall, this study comprehensively analyzes the research status and frontier of miRNAs in SCI. A systematic summary provides a complete and intuitive understanding of the relationship between SCI and miRNAs. The presented findings establish a basis for future research and clinical application in this field.

Seven different substrates were prepared by mixing red soil, humus and river sand in different volume ratios and the growth and yield of Amorphophallus muelleri bulbils in different substrates was investigated. The growth of A. muelleri seedlings were tracked during the reproductive period, with measurements taken of indicators such as petiole length, petiole basal diameter and leaf size during the late period of leaf expansion. Number of surviving plants, weights and sizes of corms, and leaf bulbils were recorded after lodging. The results showed that there were differences in the physical and chemical properties of the seven substrates, but all met the growth requirements of A. muelleri. T1 (river sand), T2 (river sand: humus 1:1), T3 (humus), and T7 (river sand: humus: red soil 1:1:1) had higher emergence rates, reaching 95 %. T4 (humus: red soil 1:1) and T7 had better growth, with larger petiole and leaf sizes than other substrates. T3, T4, and T7 had higher yields, with a bulbil yield of 0.30 t hm-2 and a corm yield of 22.06 t hm-2. Compared to the use of a single substrate, whether river sand, humus, or red soil, the proportional mixture of the three test materials improved the physical structure and chemical composition of the substrate, contributing to the growth of A. muelleri. T7 (river sand: humus: red soil 1:1:1) was was found to be the best nursery substrate for A. muelleri.

Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV) has been traditionally treated using glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants. However, these treatment modes are associated with high recurrence AAV rates and adverse reactions. Therefore, treatment strategies for AAV need to be urgently optimized. The efficacy and safety of biological agents in the treatment of vasculitis have been clinically validated. This review comprehensively summarizes the evidence-based support for the clinical use of existing biological agents in AAV. The findings reveal that multiple biological agents not only effectively reduce the adverse reactions associated with glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants but also demonstrate significant therapeutic efficacy. Notably, rituximab, an anti-CD20 antibody, has emerged as a first-line treatment option for AAV. Mepolizumab has shown promising results in relapsed and refractory eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis. Other biological agents targeting cytokines, complement, and other pathways have also demonstrated clinical benefits in recent studies. The widespread application of biological agents provides new insights into the treatment of AAV and is expected to drive further clinical research. These advancements not only improve patient outcomes but also offer more possibilities and hope in the field of AAV treatment.

This study aims to explore the optimal driving speed for ground vibration in suburban railway underground sections. We focused on the ground surface of suburban railway underground sections and developed a 3D finite element dynamic coupling model for the tunnel-soil system. Subsequently, considering factors such as train speed and passenger load, we analyzed the propagation characteristics of ground vibration responses in urban railway underground sections. The research results indicate a significant amplification phenomenon in the peak power spectrum of measurement points near the tunnels in underground sections. The high-frequency components of the power spectrum between measurement points are noticeably higher between the two tunnels. Furthermore, as the train speed increases, this amplification phenomenon becomes more pronounced, and the power spectrum of each measurement point mainly concentrates on several frequency bands, with the amplitude of the power spectrum near the prominent frequencies also increasing. However, when the train speed is between 100 and 120 km/h, the impact on the amplitude of the power spectrum at measurement points above the running tunnel is minimal. Additionally, the amplitude of the middle-to-high frequency components in the power spectrum increases with the increase in passenger numbers. The impact on the peak acceleration amplitude at each measurement point is minimal when the train speed is 80 km/h or below. However, once the train speed exceeds 80 km/h, the peak acceleration amplitude above the running tunnel rapidly increases, reaching its maximum value at 113 km/h, and then gradually decreasing.

BACKGROUND: Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a complex disease with pathogenic mechanisms that remain to be elucidated. Previous observational studies with small sample sizes have reported associations between PSC, dyslipidemia, and gut microbiota dysbiosis. However, the causality of these associations is uncertain, and there has been no systematic analysis to date. METHODS: The datasets comprise data on PSC, 179 lipid species, and 412 gut microbiota species. PSC data (n = 14,890) were sourced from the International PSC Study Group, while the dataset pertaining to plasma lipidomics originated from a study involving 7174 Finnish individuals. Data on gut microbiota species were derived from the Dutch Microbiome Project study, which conducted a genome-wide association study involving 7738 participants. Furthermore, we employed a two-step Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to quantify the proportion of the effect of gut microbiota-mediated lipidomics on PSC. RESULTS: Following a rigorous screening process, our MR analysis revealed a causal relationship between higher levels of gene-predicted Phosphatidylcholine (O-16:1_18:1) (PC O-16:1_18:1) and an increased risk of developing PSC (inverse variance-weighted method, odds ratio (OR) 1.30, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.03-1.63). There is insufficient evidence to suggest that gene-predicted PSC impacts the levels of PC O-16:1_18:1 (OR 1.01, 95% CI 0.98-1.05). When incorporating gut microbiota data into the analysis, we found that Eubacterium rectale-mediated genetic prediction explains 17.59% of the variance in PC O-16:1_18:1 levels. CONCLUSION: Our study revealed a causal association between PC O-16:1_18:1 levels and PSC, with a minor portion of the effect mediated by Eubacterium rectale. This study aims to further explore the pathogenesis of PSC and identify promising therapeutic targets. For patients with PSC who lack effective treatment options, the results are encouraging.

Background: The Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment-Patella (VISA-P) questionnaire is a widely accepted instrument for measuring the severity of symptoms and pain in patients having sustained patellar tendinopathy. Purpose: To adapt the VISA-P questionnaire cross-culturally to a traditional Chinese version (VISA-P-Ch) and validate its psychometric properties. Study Design: Cohort study (diagnosis); Level of evidence, 3. Methods: The VISA-P questionnaire was adapted to a traditional Chinese version following international recommended guidelines, including translation, synthesis, back translation, revision by expert committee, pretesting, and validation. The psychometric properties were tested in 15 healthy controls and 15 participants with patellar tendinopathy. Face validity was judged by the authors and participants. Known-groups validity was tested by comparing the VISA-P-Ch scores between symptomatic and asymptomatic participants using an independent t test. Concurrent validity was determined by comparing the Blazina classification of the participants against VISA-P-Ch scores using the Spearman correlation coefficient. Test-retest reliability was assessed by calculating the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) following a 24- to 48-hour interval. Internal consistency was determined by the Cronbach alpha. Results: The expert committee and participants reported good face validity of the VISA-P-Ch. Significantly higher scores were found in the control group than in the patellar tendinopathy group (98.47 ± 3.04 vs 65 ± 11.9; P < .001). Concurrent validity showed a high correlation between VISA-P-Ch and the Blazina classification system (r = -0.899; P < .01). The test-retest reliability was excellent (ICC = 0.964). Internal consistency was found to be good for both the first and second assessments (Cronbach α = 0.834 and 0.851). Conclusion: The VISA-P-Ch was proven to be a reliable and valid questionnaire with similar psychometric properties as the original VISA-P.

Psychiatric disorders are highly heritable yet polygenic, potentially involving hundreds of risk genes. Genome-wide association studies have identified hundreds of genomic susceptibility loci with susceptibility to psychiatric disorders; however, the contribution of these loci to the underlying psychopathology and etiology remains elusive. Here we generated deep human brain proteomics data by quantifying 11,608 proteins across 268 subjects using 11-plex tandem mass tag coupled with two-dimensional liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Our analysis revealed 788 cis-acting protein quantitative trait loci associated with the expression of 883 proteins at a genome-wide false discovery rate <5%. In contrast to expression at the transcript level and complex diseases that are found to be mainly influenced by noncoding variants, we found protein expression level tends to be regulated by non-synonymous variants. We also provided evidence of 76 shared regulatory signals between gene expression and protein abundance. Mediation analysis revealed that for most (88%) of the colocalized genes, the expression levels of their corresponding proteins are regulated by cis-pQTLs via gene transcription. Using summary data-based Mendelian randomization analysis, we identified 4 proteins and 19 genes that are causally associated with schizophrenia. We further integrated multiple omics data with network analysis to prioritize candidate genes for schizophrenia risk loci. Collectively, our findings underscore the potential of proteome-wide linkage analysis in gaining mechanistic insights into the pathogenesis of psychiatric disorders.

BACKGROUND: With less than 90 reported cases to date, stercoral perforation of the colon is a rare occurrence. Stercoral ulceration is thought to occur due to ischemic pressure necrosis of the bowel wall, which is caused by the presence of a stercoraceous mass. To underscore this urgent surgical situation concerning clinical presentation, surgical treatment, and results, we present the case of a 66-year-old man with a stercoral perforation. CASE SUMMARY: A 66-year-old man with a history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and gout presented at the emergency department with lower abdominal pain and a low-grade fever lasting for a few hours. Abdominal computed tomography indicated a suspected bezoar (approximately 7.6 cm) in the dilated cecum, accompanied by pericolic fat stranding, mild proximal dilatation of the ileum, pneumoperitoneum, and minimal ascites. Intraoperatively, feculent peritonitis with isolated cecal perforation were observed. Consequently, a right hemicolectomy with peritoneal lavage was performed. A histopathological examination supported the intraoperative findings. CONCLUSION: In stercoral perforations, a diagnosis should be diligently pursued, especially in older adults, and prompt surgical intervention should be implemented.

Introduction: Peripheral sensory neurons serve as the initial responders to the external environment. How these neurons react to different sensory stimuli, such as mechanical or thermal forces applied to the skin, remains unclear. Methods: Using in vivo two-photon Ca2+ imaging in the lumbar 4 dorsal root ganglion (DRG) of awake Thy1.2-GCaMP6s mice, we assessed neuronal responses to various mechanical (punctate or dynamic) and thermal forces (heat or cold) sequentially applied to the paw plantar surface. Results: Our data indicate that in normal awake male mice, approximately 14 and 38% of DRG neurons respond to either single or multiple modalities of stimulation. Anesthesia substantially reduces the number of responsive neurons but does not alter the ratio of cells exhibiting single-modal responses versus multi-modal responses. Following peripheral nerve injury, DRG cells exhibit a more than 5.1-fold increase in spontaneous neuronal activity and a 1.5-fold increase in sensory stimulus-evoked activity. As neuropathic pain resulting from nerve injury progresses, the polymodal nature of sensory neurons intensifies. The polymodal population increases from 39.1 to 56.9%, while the modality-specific population decreases from 14.7 to 5.0% within a period of 5 days. Discussion: Our study underscores polymodality as a significant characteristic of primary sensory neurons, which becomes more pronounced during the development of neuropathic pain.

Tanshinone IIA (Tan IIA), a main active ingredient of salvia miltiorrhiza, has a wide range of antitumor effects, while its specific role and mechanism in head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) is not fully understood. Totally 59 primary HNSCC patients underwent two courses of induction chemotherapy before surgery. The association between expression of Fas-Associated Death Domain (FADD) and receptor interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1) and chemotherapy resistance and survival were evaluated. The cell counting kit-8 was used to detect the effect of Tan IIA on the activity of cisplatin in chemoresistant HNSCC cells through a series of in vitro experiments. The quantitative real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction, Western blot analysis and flow cytometry were used. FADD and RIPK1 expressions were differentially expressed in Chemosensitive and drug-resistant patients. Furthermore, patients with tumors exhibiting high expression of FADD and RIPK1 had significantly greater risk for chemoresistance and mortality than patients with tumors that had low levels of these proteins. Moreover, Tan IIA reduced the expression of RIPK1 and FADD in HNSCC chemoresistant cell lines, which could increase the chemosensitivity of cisplatin and promote apoptosis. Overexpression of RIPK1 led to attenuation of therapeutic effects of Tan IIA, which were mainly realized through regulation of the RIPK1-FADD-Caspase 8 complex. This study is the first to demonstrate the clinical value and role of FADD and RIPK1 in the treatment of HNSCC. This work establishes the proapoptotic effects of Tan IIA and its potential to enhance chemosensitivity in HNSCC by modulating the RIPK1-FADD-Caspase 8 complex.

Immersive 360° videos are of interest to educators because of their ability to provide immersive sensory experience and other features. This study examined the effects of four cue conditions on 360° video learning performance, attention, cognitive load, and mood using eye-tracking devices, brainwave meters, and subjective questionnaires. The randomly assigned participants (n = 62) did go to the experimental group (visual cues only, auditory cues only, and audiovisual cues) or the control group (no cues). The results showed that visual and audiovisual cues effectively guide learners' attention to the related learning content, reduce cognitive load during learning, and improve retention performance but have no significant effect on knowledge transfer or long-term memory. Auditory cues increase the number of times learners look at the related learning content but do not affect gaze duration and distract their attention, hindering the acquisition of relevant learning content. The study also found that visual cues effectively increase the number of times learners looked at the content. However, they do not affect gaze duration. The study also revealed that visual cues effectively increase learners' relaxation when viewing 360° videos. The study's findings can provide a reference for the instructional processing of information related to 360° video design and its practical application in teaching.

Liver fibrosis is characterized by excessive deposition of extracellular matrix (ECM) as a wound healing process. Activated hepatic stellate cells (HpSCs) are the major producer of the ECM and play a central role in liver fibrogenesis. It has been widely accepted that elimination of activated HpSCs or reversion to a quiescent state can be a feasible strategy for resolving the disease, further highlighting the urgent need for novel therapeutic targets. Calreticulin (CRT) is a molecular chaperone that normally resides in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), important in protein folding and trafficking through the secretory pathway. CRT also plays a critical role in calcium (Ca2+) homeostasis, with its Ca2+ storage capacity. In the current study, we aimed to demonstrate its function in directing HpSC activation. In a mouse liver injury model, CRT was up-regulated in HpSCs. In cellular experiments, we further showed that this activation was through modulating the canonical TGF-ß signaling. As down-regulation of CRT in HpSCs elevated intracellular Ca2+ levels through a form of Ca2+ influx, named store-operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE), we examined whether moderating SOCE affected TGF-ß signaling. Interestingly, blocking SOCE had little effect on TGF-ß-induced gene expression. In contrast, inhibition of ER Ca2+ release using the inositol trisphosphate receptor inhibitor 2-APB increased TGF-ß signaling. Treatment with 2-APB did not alter SOCE but decreased intracellular Ca2+ at the basal level. Indeed, adjusting Ca2+ concentrations by EGTA or BAPTA-AM chelation further enhanced TGF-ß-induced signaling. Our results suggest a crucial role of CRT in the liver fibrogenic process through modulating Ca2+ concentrations and TGF-ß signaling in HpSCs, which may provide new information and help advance the current discoveries for liver fibrosis.

Background: Ophthalmological screening for cytomegalovirus retinitis (CMVR) for HIV/AIDS patients is important to prevent lifelong blindness. Previous studies have shown good properties of automated CMVR screening using digital fundus images. However, the application of a deep learning (DL) system to CMVR with ultra-wide-field (UWF) fundus images has not been studied, and the feasibility and efficiency of this method are uncertain. Methods: In this study, we developed, internally validated, externally validated, and prospectively validated a DL system to detect AIDS-related from UWF fundus images from different clinical datasets. We independently used the InceptionResnetV2 network to develop and internally validate a DL system for identifying active CMVR, inactive CMVR, and non-CMVR in 6960 UWF fundus images from 862 AIDS patients and validated the system in a prospective and an external validation data set using the area under the curve (AUC), accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. A heat map identified the most important area (lesions) used by the DL system for differentiating CMVR. Results: The DL system showed AUCs of 0.945 (95 % confidence interval [CI]: 0.929, 0.962), 0.964 (95 % CI: 0.870, 0.999) and 0.968 (95 % CI: 0.860, 1.000) for detecting active CMVR from non-CMVR and 0.923 (95 % CI: 0.908, 0.938), 0.902 (0.857, 0.948) and 0.884 (0.851, 0.917) for detecting active CMVR from non-CMVR in the internal cross-validation, external validation, and prospective validation, respectively. Deep learning performed promisingly in screening CMVR. It also showed the ability to differentiate active CMVR from non-CMVR and inactive CMVR as well as to identify active CMVR and inactive CMVR from non-CMVR (all AUCs in the three independent data sets >0.900). The heat maps successfully highlighted lesion locations. Conclusions: Our UWF fundus image-based DL system showed reliable performance for screening AIDS-related CMVR showing its potential for screening CMVR in HIV/AIDS patients, especially in the absence of ophthalmic resources.

OBJECTIVE: Many diabetes mellitus (DM) patients suffer from multimorbidity. Understanding the DM multimorbidity network should be given priority. The purpose of this study is characterize the DM multimorbidity network in people over 50 years. METHODS: Data on 75 non-communicable diseases (NCDs) were extracted from electronic medical records of 309,843 hospitalized patients older than 50 years who had at least one NCD. The association rules analysis was used as a novel classification method and combined with the Chi-square tests to identify associations between NCDs and DM. RESULT: A total of 12 NCDs were closely related to DM, {cholelithiasis, DM} was an unexpected combination. {dyslipidemia, DM} and {gout, DM} had the largest lift in the male and female groups, respectively. The negative related group included 7 NCDs. There were 9 NCDs included in the strong association rules. Most combinations were different by age and sex. In males, the strongest rule was {peripheral vascular disease (PVD), dyslipidemia, DM}, while {hypertension, dyslipidemia, chronic liver disease (CLD), DM} was the strongest in females. In patients younger than 70 years, hypertension, CLD, and dyslipidemia were the most dominant NCDs in the DM multimorbidity network. In patients 70 years or older, chronic kidney disease (CKD), CVD, CHD, and heart disease (HD) frequently co-occurred with DM. CONCLUSION: Future primary healthcare policies for DM should be formulated based on age and sex. In patients younger than 70 years, more attention to hypertension, CLD, and dyslipidemia is required, while attention to CKD, CVD, CHD and HD is needed in patients older than 70 years.

Based on (10087±44)×10^{6} J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'} is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)_{-94}^{+26}(syst) MeV/c^{2} and 188_{-17}^{+18}(stat)_{-33}^{+124}(syst) MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f_{0}(980)η^{'}]×B[f_{0}(980)→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}]=(1.31±0.22(stat)_{-0.84}^{+2.85}(syst))×10^{-5}. The statistical significance of the X(2370) is greater than 11.7σ and the spin parity is determined to be 0^{-+} for the first time. The measured mass and spin parity of the X(2370) are consistent with the predictions of the lightest pseudoscalar glueball.
