RÉSUMÉ

An outbreak of typhoid fever in St. Lucia is described. Some considerations about the treatment are given; we question the value of standard treatments. An attempt is made to explain the low rate of relapses in this epidemic, without success. It might possibly be due to our individual rather than standard treatment. Finally the relationship between typhoid fever and T.A.B. vaccine is discussed; in particular, we express our belief that the number of injections should be increased, in order to achieve a safer protection.
