RÉSUMÉ

Maintaining the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of flexible perovskite solar cells (fPSCs) while decreasing their weight is essential to utilize their lightweight and flexibility as much as possible for commercialization. Strengthening the interfaces between functional layers, such as flexible substrates, charge transport layers, and perovskite active layers, is critical to addressing the issue. Herein, we propose a feasible and one-stone-for-two-birds method to improve the electron transport layer (ETL), SnO2, and the interface between the ETL and perovskite layer simultaneously. In detail, poly(acrylate ammonium) (PAAm), a low-cost polymer with a long chain structure, is added into the SnO2 aqueous solution to reduce the aggregation of SnO2 nanoparticles, resulting in the deposition of a conformal and high-quality ETL film on the tin-doped indium oxide film surface. Simultaneously, PAAm addition can effectively regulate the crystallization of the perovskite films, strengthening the interface between the SnO2 film and the buried surface of the perovskite layer. The outstanding PCEs of 22.41% on small-scale fPSCs and 18.54% on fPSC mini-modules are among the state-of-the-art n-i-p type fPSCs. Moreover, the fPSC mini-module on the 20 µm-thick flexible substrate shows a comparable PCE with that of the fPSC mini-module on the 125 µm-thick flexible substrate, exhibiting a high power-to-weight of 5.097 W/g. This work provides an easy but essential direction for further applications of fPSCs in diverse scenarios.

RÉSUMÉ

Inverted flexible perovskite solar cells (fPSCs) are promising for commercialization due to their low cost, lightweight, and excellent stability. However, enhancing fPSCs' power conversion efficiency and stability remains challenging. Here, an unprecedented triple cross-linking engineering strategy is innovatively exhibit for efficient and stable inverted fPSCs. First, a carefully designed cross-linker, 4-fluorophenyl 5-(1,2-dithiolan-3-yl) pentanoate (FB-TA), is added to the perovskite precursor solution. During the perovskite film's crystallization at a low temperature, the cross-linking product of FB-TA can passivate the grain boundaries and reduce the film's residual strain and Young's module. Then, FB-TA is also introduced for the bottom- and top-interface modification of the perovskite film. The interfacial treating strategy protects the perovskite from water invasion and strengthens the interfaces. The combination of triple strategies affords highly efficient inverted fPSCs with a champion efficiency of 21.42% among the state-of-the-art inverted fPSCs based on nickel oxides. More importantly, the flexible devices also exhibit superior stabilities with T90 >4000 bending cycles, photostability with T90 >568 h, and ambient stability with T90 >2000 h, especially the stability with T80 >1120 h under harsh damp-heat conditions (i.e., 85 °C and 85% RH). The strategy provides new insights into the industrialization of high-performance and stable fPSCs.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective: To investigate the correlation between serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels and in-hospital major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and establish a risk prediction model based on parameters such as PTH for in-hospital MACE. Methods: This observational retrospective study consecutively enrolled 340 patients who underwent primary PCI for STEMI between January 2016 and December 2020, divided into a MACE group (n=92) and a control group (n=248). The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) and logistic regression analyses were used to determine the risk factors for MACE after primary PCI. The rms package in R-studio statistical software was used to construct a nomogram, to detect the line chart C-index, and to draw a calibration curve. The decision curve analysis (DCA) method was used to evaluate the clinical application value and net benefit. Results: Correlation analysis revealed that PTH level positively correlated with the occurrence of in-hospital MACE. Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses revealed that PTH had a good predictive value for in-hospital MACE. Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that Killip class II-IV, and FBG were independently associated with in-hospital MACE after primary PCI. A nomogram model was constructed using the above parameters. The model C-index was 0.894 and the calibration curve indicated that the model was well calibrated. The DCA curve suggested that the nomogram model was better than TIMI score model in terms of net clinical benefit. Conclusion: Serum PTH levels in patients with STEMI are associated with in-hospital MACE after primary PCI, and the nomogram risk prediction model based on PTH demonstrated good predictive ability with obvious clinical practical value.

RÉSUMÉ

The purpose of this study is to elucidate the roles and potential underlying mechanisms of long noncoding RNA lnc-ZNF281 in glioma. We performed qRT-PCR to detect the expression levels of lnc-ZNF281 in glioma tissues. The effects of lnc-ZNF281 on the proliferative and migrative abilities of T98G and HS683 glioma cells were examined by cell proliferation assay, colony formation assay, wound-healing assay, and transwell assay. Also, the effects of lnc-ZNF281 on AKT/GSK-3ß/ß-catenin pathway were analyzed. The results showed that the expression of lnc-ZNF281 in glioma tissues was decreased compared with normal tissues. lnc-ZNF281 overexpression inhibited the proliferative and migrative abilities of glioma cells, while lnc-ZNF281 knockdown obtained the opposite findings. Besides, overexpression of lnc-ZNF281 in glioma cells inactivated the AKT/GSK-3ß/ß-catenin signaling pathway. Furthermore, ß-catenin activation reversed the suppressive effects of lnc-ZNF281 on glioma cells. Taken together, lnc-ZNF281 inhibits glioma cell proliferation and migration via AKT/GSK-3ß/ß-catenin pathway and may serve as a potential target for glioma treatment.

RÉSUMÉ

OBJECTIVE: This study was aimed to utilize a modified anterior drawer test (MADT) to detect the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures and investigate its accuracy compares with three traditional tests. METHODS: Four hundred patients were prospectively enrolled between January 2015 and September 2017 preoperatively to undergo knee arthroscopic surgeries. The MADT, anterior drawer test, Lachman test, and pivot shift test were used in the outpatient clinical setting and were compared statistically for their accuracy in terms of ACL ruptures, with arthroscopic findings as the gold standard. RESULTS: The prevalence of ACL ruptures in this study was 37.0%. The MADT demonstrated the highest sensitivity (0.89) and accuracy (0.92) among the four tests and had comparable specificity (0.94) and a positive predictive value (0.90) compared with the anterior drawer test, Lachman test, and pivot shift test. The diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) of MADT was 122.92, with other test values of no more than 55.45. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) for the MADT was 0.92 ± 0.01, with a significant difference compared with that for the anterior drawer test (z = 17.00, p < 0.001), Lachman test (z = 9.66, p = 0.002), and pivot shift test (z = 16.39, p < 0.001). The interobserver reproducibility of the MADT was good, with a kappa coefficient of 0.86. When diagnosing partial tears of ACL, the MADT was significantly more sensitive than the anterior drawer test (p < 0.001), Lachman test (p = 0.026), and pivot shift test (p = 0.013). The MADT showed similar sensitivity in detecting anteromedial and posterolateral bundle tears (p = 0.113) and no difference in diagnosing acute and chronic ACL ruptures (χ2 = 1.682, p = 0.195). CONCLUSIONS: The MADT is also an alternative diagnostic test to detect ACL tear, which is equally superior to the anterior drawer test, Lachman test, and pivot shifting test. It could improve the diagnosis of ACL ruptures combined with other clinical information including injury history, clinical examination, and radiological findings. RÉSUMÉ

Hearing loss ranks fourth among the principal causes of disability worldwide, and manipulation of progenitor cells may be a key strategy for hair cell regeneration. The present study investigated the role and mechanism of miR125 on the proliferation of cochlear progenitor cells (CPCs). CPCs were isolated from the cochleae of neonatal rats, and their morphology was observed. Furthermore, the differentiation ability of CPCs was determined by assessing the expression of 5bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU), nestin and myosin VII by immunofluorescence. The expression levels of miR125 and cyclindependent kinase 2 (CDK2) as well as the cell proliferation of CPCs were assessed. In addition, following gain and lossoffunction assays, the cell cycle was examined by flow cytometry, and the expression levels of miR125, CDK2, proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and nestin were determined by reverse transcriptionquantitative PCR and western blotting. The binding sites between miR125 and CDK2 were predicted by TargetScan and identified by the dual luciferase reporter assay. The results demonstrated that different types of progenitor spheres were observed from CPCs with positive expression of BrdU, nestin and myosin VII. Following in vitro incubation for 2, 4 and 7 days, the spheres were enlarged, and CPC proliferation gradually increased and reached a plateau after further incubation for 3 days. Furthermore, the expression levels of nestin and PCNA in CPCs increased and then decreased during in vitro incubation for 2, 4 and 7 days. Following this incubation, the expression levels of miR125 in CPCs decreased; thereafter, its expression increased, and the expression pattern was different from that of CDK2. In addition, miR125 overexpression in CPCs decreased the expression of CDK2 and the number of cells in the S phase. Different expression patterns were found in CPCs in response to the miR125 knockdown. In addition, miR125 directly targeted CDK2. Simultaneous knockdown of miR125 and CDK2 enhanced CPC proliferation compared with CDK2 knockdown alone. Taken together, the findings from the present study suggested that miR125 may inhibit CPC proliferation by downregulating CDK2. The present study may provide a novel therapeutic direction for treatment of hearing loss.

RÉSUMÉ

Iron-based Prussian blue analogs are promising low-cost and easily prepared cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries. Their materials quality and electrochemical performance are heavily reliant on the precipitation process. Here we report a controllable precipitation method to synthesize high-performance Prussian blue for sodium-ion storage. Characterization of the nucleation and evolution processes of the highly crystalline Prussian blue microcubes reveals a rhombohedral structure that exhibits high initial Coulombic efficiency, excellent rate performance, and cycling properties. The phase transitions in the as-obtained material are investigated by synchrotron in situ powder X-ray diffraction, which shows highly reversible structural transformations between rhombohedral, cubic, and tetragonal structures upon sodium-ion (de)intercalations. Moreover, the Prussian blue material from a large-scale synthesis process shows stable cycling performance in a pouch full cell over 1000 times. We believe that this work could pave the way for the real application of Prussian blue materials in sodium-ion batteries.

RÉSUMÉ

Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is a novel cardiovascular biomarker which is particularly useful for detection and assessment of heart failure (HF). However, previous studies examining PTH in heart failure have primarily focused on left HF; thus, the relationship between PTH and right HF remains unclear. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the serum PTH levels in patients with chronic right HF. A total of 154 patients with chronic right HF were enrolled in the present study. A binary logistic regression analysis model was used to assess the independent predictive value of PTH levels in chronic right HF. Partial correlative analysis was used to demonstrate the relevance of PTH levels on the parameters of assessment of right heart function. A multiple linear regression analysis model was used to evaluate the independent factors of PTH levels in patients with right HF. The results showed that the serum PTH levels in the right HF group were significantly higher compared with the control group. After adjusting for predictors of right HF, serum PTH levels were associated with right HF with an odds ratio of 1.066 (95% confidence interval: 1.030-1.102, P<0.001. Serum PTH levels were independently correlated with plasma N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide levels, right ventricular end-diastolic diameter and severity of lower extremity edema (all P<0.05). Therefore, based on the results of the present study, PTH may be a useful biomarker for detection and assessment of right HF.

RÉSUMÉ

From March 2019 to May 2019, panel interviews were conducted with 39 representatives of 10 community health service centers in Shanghai Changning District, each took 30 to 90 min. The relevant information of interviews was coded, classified, streamlined, and the interview topics were sorted out. The interviews showed the following problems of continuing education in community health care setting currently: there were lack of updated disease-related clinical guidelines and other knowledge, lack of uniform regulations on rational drug use; the contents or forms of training did not match the needs of the community; and training in psychology and nutrition therapy could not be transformed into practical application. The participants made the following suggestions for continuing medical education: to build a database of clinical guidelines for diseases; to provide information-based support and guidance for rational drug use; to design training contents and training forms based on community needs; to provide training support in psychology, nutrition and other subjects; to increase trainings in research, teaching and health management and other aspects. Continuing medical education for community general practioners faces problems from knowledge users, knowledge providers, and the policy environment. The contents and forms of training needs should be optimized. These can be strengthened by communicating with the community and following up with the needs of the community in establishing diversified training forms, supporting assessment and incentive mechanisms for different types of training contents.

RÉSUMÉ

A survey on clinical skill application and training needs of general practitioners (GPs) was conducted in the community health service centers of Shanghai Changning District from March to May 2019. The heads of the medical/prevention departments of 10 community health service centers (CHS) in Changning District were invited to evaluate the application frequency of clinical skills and training needs of GPs. According to Residency Training Standards for General Practitioners (trial), Training Standards for Assistant General Practitioners (trial), Training Program for General Practitioners in Primary Medical and Health Institutions (trial), 369 clinical skills for general practitioners were included for evaluation. The application frequency of above 369 clinical skills among 198 general practitioners were evaluated and training needs were also assessed. The overall application frequency score of GPs for 369 clinical skills was 1.00 (0.30, 1.70) points, and the training needs score was 1.40 (1.10, 1.70) points. The application frequency of different clinical skills was positively correlated with training needs ( r=0.462, P<0.01). And the four-quadrant analysis results show that among the 369 clinical practice skills, 116 (31.4%) items were used by GPs with high frequency and high training needs, and 80 (21.7%) items were used with low frequency but high training needs. There were 45 (12.2%) items with high application frequency but low training needs, and 128 (34.7%) items with low application frequency and low training needs. The survey indicates that the training of clinical skills listed in the three major training standards or outlines should be strengthened in continuing education for general practitioners, and the practice skills with high application frequency and high training needs should be focused in training program to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of training.

RÉSUMÉ

Based on literature analysis and conference discussion, the index system of the competence and performance of general practitioners (GPs) was developed, which consisted of 4 dimensions and 59 indicators. Based on the indicator system, the questionnaire was designed. From March 2019 to May 2019, a questionnaire survey on the ability, performance and training needs of GPs was conducted among the managers of 10 community health service centers in Shanghai Changning District. The dependent variables were analyzed through descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and quadrant mapping methods. The median of overall evaluation score of the performance of GPs in 10 community health service center was 2.7(2.4,2.9); and the mean of training demand score was (1.4±0.5). The performance scores was negatively correlated with the degree of training needs ( r=-0.654, P<0.01). Among the 59 capacity assessment indicators, there were 25 (42.4%) with poor performance but high training demand. The overall ability of general practitioners was common from the perspective of the community health service center managers, suggesting that it is important to strengthen the capacity development for community GPs, and those with poor performance and high training needs should be included in training priority, such as disease diagnosis and treatment, emergency management ability, rehabilitation service ability and medical law.

RÉSUMÉ

The present study investigated the role of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (CM) and its underlying mechanism. A total of 30 Sprague-Dawley male rats were randomly divided into a control group (n=6) and an experimental group (n=24). To induce CM in the rats of the experimental group, 2 mg/kg Adriamycin (ADR) was administered intraperitoneally with 5 equal injections every third day followed by 5 weekly injections resulting in a cumulative dose of 20 mg/kg. Following establishment of the model, rats in the experimental group were subdivided into a PTH-untreated CM group that received daily normal saline subcutaneous injections for 7 days and three treated CM groups that received daily subcutaneous injections of 5, 10, or 20 µg/kg of recombinant PTH for 7 days. Rats in the control group accordingly received intraperitoneal and subcutaneous injections of normal saline. Blood sample analysis revealed that B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), troponin T, C-reactive protein (CRP), creatinine and phosphorus concentrations were increased in the PTH-untreated CM group compared with that in the control group, whereas PTH and calcium concentrations were decreased. Administration of PTH dose-dependently decreased BNP, CRP, creatinine and phosphorus levels, and increased PTH and calcium levels. Notably, there were significant differences in PTH, BNP, troponin T, CRP, creatinine, calcium, and phosphorus levels among the rats in the five groups (P<0.01). Cardiac ultrasonography results indicated that the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was significantly decreased in rats treated with ADR compared with the rats from the control group (P<0.01). However, the LVEF gradually recovered with elevated PTH treatment doses. The overall differences of LVEF and left ventricular end-systolic volume in the five experimental groups were statistically significant (P<0.01). Furthermore, there were dose-dependent increases in LV mass and left ventricular end-diastolic volume in PTH-treated rats; however, the differences between any two groups did not reach statistical significance (P>0.05). Immunohistochemical staining and western blot analysis using an anti-PTH polyclonal antibody was performed to evaluate the protein expression levels of PTH in myocardial tissues. The mRNA expression levels of PTH and BNP were measured using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The results demonstrated that the mRNA and protein expression levels of PTH in myocardial tissues were significantly decreased in ADR-treated rats compared with the levels in the control group rats. Injection of recombinant PTH significantly increased PTH expression and reduced BNP expression in dose-dependent manners (P<0.05). These findings demonstrated that PTH can improve cardiac function in rats with ADR-induced CM, suggesting a potential therapeutic application for PTH in non-ischemic CM.

RÉSUMÉ

Vascular calcification (VC) occurs in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and contributes to cardiovascular dysfunction and mortality. Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is a crucial regulator of VC. High PTH serum levels constitute as a major risk factor for patients with CKD. However, the effect and mechanism of PTH on osteoblastic differentiation in endothelial cells have not been fully elucidated. In the present study, the role of PTH in VC was investigated using an in vitro calcification model. Endothelial cells were stimulated with PTH in the femto- to picomolar range. As determined by western blot analysis and ELISA, osteoblastic differentiation, as indicated by the BMP2 marker, occurred with maximum effect at 1×10-10 mmol/l PTH. The results indicate that PTH promotes osteoblastic differentiation of endothelial cells, as demonstrated by the increased expression of bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) 2 and BMP4. In addition, western blot analysis revealed that PTH activated the extracellular signal-regulated protein kinase (Erk)1/2 and nuclear factor (NF)-κB signaling pathways. However, reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction demonstrated that inhibitors specific to Erk1/2 and NF-κB eradicated the effect of PTH treatment on BMP2, BMP4, ALP and RUNX2 expression. These results demonstrate that PTH promotes the osteoblastic differentiation of endothelial cells via the Erk1/2 and NF-κB signaling pathways, which suggests a potential role of PTH in the promotion of VC. These findings provide an insight into the association between PTH and cardiovascular disease.

RÉSUMÉ

Jet fuel was prepared from low-temperature coal tar (LTCT) via two-stage fixed beds that were filled with two commercial catalysts. The effects of temperature (340-400 °C), pressure (6-12 MPa) and liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV) (0.4-1.0 h-1) on the hydrogenation performance and properties of the product were investigated, while the H2/oil ratio was maintained at a constant 1600 : 1 in all cases. In this study, the freezing point and the heat value increased with increasing pressure and LHSV over the catalysts. However, the freezing point decreased and then increased, while the heat value increased and then decreased with the increase of temperature. The jet fuel (180-280 °C) fraction was separated from the product and analyzed. The density, the freezing point and the heat value of the jet fuel were 0.815 g mL-1, -56 °C and 42 MJ kg-1, respectively. The main components of jet fuel were cycloalkanes and isoalkanes. The results showed that the jet fuel obtained from the LTCT had a series of advantages such as lower freezing point and higher heat value.
