The removal of oil from solid surfaces, such as textiles and plates, remains a challenge due to the strong binding affinity of the oil. Conventional methods for surface cleaning often require surfactants and mechanical abrasion to enhance the cleaning process. However, in excess, these can pose adverse effects on the environment and to the material. This study investigated how bulk nanobubble water can clean oil microdroplets deposited on surfaces like glass coverslips and dishes. Microscopy imaging and further image analysis clearly revealed that these microdroplets detached from both hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces when washed with bulk nanobubble water within a fluidic microchannel. Oil contaminant cleaning was also conducted in water as mobile phase to mimic the circumstances that occur in a dishwasher and washing machine. Cleaning on a larger scale also proved very successful in the removal of oil from a porcelain bowl. These results indicate that nanobubble water can easily remove oil contaminants from glass and porcelain surfaces without the assistance of surfactants. This is in stark contrast to negligible results obtained with a control solution without nanobubbles. This study indicates that nanobubble technology is an innovative, low-cost, eco-friendly approach for oil removal, demonstrating its potential for broad practical applications.

BACKGROUND: Chemotherapeutic agents including cisplatin, gemcitabine, and pemetrexed, significantly enhance the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by increasing PD-L1 expression and potentiating T cell cytotoxicity. However, the low response rate and adverse effects limit the application of chemotherapy/ICI combinations in patients. METHODS: We screened for medicinal herbs that could perturb PD-L1 expression and enhance T cell cytotoxicity in the presence of anti-PD-L1 antibody, and investigated the underlying mechanisms. RESULTS: We found that the aqueous extracts of Centipeda minima (CM) significantly enhanced the cancer cell-killing activity and granzyme B expression level of CD8+ T cells, in the presence of anti-PD-L1 antibody. Both CM and its active component 6-O-angeloylplenolin (6-OAP) upregulated PD-L1 expression by suppressing GSK-3ß-ß-TRCP-mediated ubiquitination and degradation. CM and 6-OAP significantly enhanced ICI-induced reduction of tumor burden and prolongation of overall survival of mice bearing NSCLC cells, accompanied by upregulation of PD-L1 and increase of CD8+ T cell infiltration. CM also exhibited anti-NSCLC activity in cells and in a patient-derived xenograft mouse model. CONCLUSIONS: These data demonstrated that the induced expression of PD-L1 and enhancement of CD8+ T cell cytotoxicity underlay the beneficial effects of 6-OAP-rich CM in NSCLCs, providing a clinically available and safe medicinal herb for combined use with ICIs to treat this deadly disease.

A novel microwave-assisted intercalation (MAI) strategy is proposed for fast and efficient intercalation of layered MXene to prepare large-size single-layer MXene. After LiF-HCl etching of Ti3AlC2, the as-prepared multi-layer Ti3C2Tx (M-T) are intercalated with Li3AlF6 as an intercalator and ethylene glycol (EG) as a solvent under microwave irradiation for 5 min. Furthermore, the dispersed high-quality large-sized single-layer Ti3C2Tx (S-T) nanosheets with a thickness of 1.66 nm and a large lateral size over 20 µm are achieved with a yield of over 60% after a further ultrasonic delamination followed by electrostatic precipitation, acid washing, and calcination. In addition, Pd/S-T composite catalyst, which is constructed with Pd nanoparticles supported on the as-prepared S-T nanosheets, exhibits an excellent performance for rapid and efficient selective hydrogenation of nitroarenes with H2 under a mild condition. At room temperature, full conversion of nitrobenzene and 100% aniline selectivity are achieved over Pd/S-T catalyst in 20 min with 0.5 MPa of H2 pressure. This work provides a novel method for facile, fast, and large-scale preparation of single-layer MXene and develops a new approach for constructing efficient nanocatalytic systems.

A number of hardware-based and software-based strategies have been suggested to eliminate motion artifacts for improvement of 3D-optical coherence tomography (OCT) image quality. However, the hardware-based strategies have to employ additional hardware to record motion compensation information. Many software-based strategies have to need additional scanning for motion correction at the expense of longer acquisition time. To address this issue, we propose a motion artifacts correction and motion estimation method for OCT volumetric imaging of anterior segment, without requirements of additional hardware and redundant scanning. The motion correction effect with subpixel accuracy for in vivo 3D-OCT has been demonstrated in experiments. Moreover, the physiological information of imaging object, including respiratory curve and respiratory rate, has been experimentally extracted using the proposed method. The proposed method offers a powerful tool for scientific research and clinical diagnosis in ophthalmology and may be further extended for other biomedical volumetric imaging applications.

Due to the high dissociation energy of carbon dioxide (CO2) and sluggish charge transfer dynamics, photocatalytic CO2 reduction with high performance remains a huge challenge. Herein, we report a novel dual-homojunction photocatalyst comprising of cyano/cyanamide groups co-modified carbon nitride (CN-TH) intramolecular homojunction and 1 T/2H-MoSe2 homojunction (denoted as 1 T/2H-MoSe2/CN-TH) for enhanced photocatalytic CO2 reduction. In this dual-homojunction photocatalyst, the intramolecular CN-TH homojunction could promote the intralayer charge separation and transfer owing to the strong electron-withdrawing capabilities of the two-type cyanamide, while the 1 T/2H-MoSe2 homojunction mainly contributes to a promote interlayer charge transport of CN-TH. This could consequently induce a tandem multi-step charge transfer and accelerate the charge transfer dynamics, resulting in enhanced CO2 reduction activities. Thanks to this tandem multi-step charge transfer, the optimized 1 T/2H-MoSe2/CN-TH dual-homojunction photocatalyst presented a high CO yield of 27.36 µmol·g-1·h-1, which is 3.58 and 2.87 times higher than those of 1 T/2H-MoSe2/CN and 2H-MoSe2/CN-TH single homojunctions, respectively. This work provides a novel strategy for efficient CO2 reduction via achieving a tandem multi-step charge transfer through designing dual-homojunction photocatalyst.

PURPOSE: Early prediction of response to immunotherapy may help guide patient management by identifying resistance to treatment and allowing adaptation of therapies. This analysis evaluated a mathematical model of response to immunotherapy that provides patient-specific prediction of outcome using the initial change in tumor size/burden from baseline to the first follow-up visit on standard imaging scans. METHODS: We applied the model to 600 patients with advanced solid tumors who received durvalumab in Study 1108, a phase I/II trial, and compared outcome prediction performance versus size-based criteria with RECIST version 1.1 best overall response (BOR), baseline circulating tumor (ct)DNA level, and other clinical/pathologic predictors of immunotherapy response. RESULTS: In multiple solid tumors, the mathematical parameter representing net tumor growth rate at the first on-treatment computed tomography (CT) scan assessed around 6 weeks after starting durvalumab (α1) had a concordance index to predict overall survival (OS) of 0.66-0.77 on multivariate analyses. This measurement of early tumor dynamics significantly improved multivariate OS models that included standard RECIST v1.1 criteria, baseline ctDNA levels, and other clinical/pathologic factors in predicting OS. Furthermore, α1 was assessed consistently at the first on-treatment CT scan, whereas all traditional RECIST BOR groups were confirmed only after this time. CONCLUSION: These results support further exploring α1 as an integral biomarker of response to immunotherapy. This biomarker may be predictive of further benefit and can be assessed before RECIST response groups can be assigned, potentially providing an opportunity to personalize oncologic management.

Aberrant activity of NLRP3 has been shown associations with severe diseases. Palmitoylation is a kind of protein post-translational modification, which has been shown to regulate cancer development and the innate immune system. Here, we showed that NLRP3 is palmitoylated at Cys419 and that palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC17 is the predominant enzyme that mediates NLRP3 palmitoylation and promotes NLRP3 activation by interacting with NLRP3 and facilitating NIMA-related kinase 7 (NEK7)-NLRP3 interactions. Blockade of NLRP3 palmitoylation by a palmitoylation inhibitor, 2-bromopalmitate, effectively inhibited NLRP3 activation in vitro. Also, in a dextran sulfate sodium-induced colitis model in mice, 2-bromopalmitate application could attenuate weight loss, improve the survival rate, and rescue pathological changes in the colon of mice. Overall, our study reveals that palmitoylation of NLPR3 modulates inflammasome activation and inflammatory bowel disease development. We propose that drugs targeting NLRP3 palmitoylation could be promising candidates in the treatment of NLRP3-mediated inflammatory diseases.

INTRODUCTION: Eucommia ulmoides is a unique monophyletic and tertiary relict in China and is listed as a national second-class precious protected tree species. Eucommia ulmoides, recognized as a traditional Chinese medicine, can tonify the liver and kidneys and strengthen bones and muscles. Modern pharmacological research has proved that Eucommia ulmoides has multiple osteoprotective effects, including prohibiting the occurrence of osteoporosis and arthritis and enhancing the healing of bone fractures and bone defects. AIM: To check its osteotropic effects, which may provide ideas for its potential use for the development of novel drugs to treat osteoporosis, this study evaluated the effect of total flavonoids from Eucommia ulmoides leaves (TFEL) on the acquisition of Peak Bone Mass (PBM) in young female rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS: TFEL was isolated, and its purity was confirmed by using a UV spectrophotometer. TFEL with a purity of 85.09% was administered to 6-week-old female rats by oral gavage at a low (50), mid (100), or high (200 mg/kg/d) dose, and the control group was administrated only with the same volume of water. After 13 weeks of treatment, the rats were sacrificed, and serum, different organs, and limb bones (femurs and tibias) were harvested, and the bone turnover markers, organ index, Bone Mineral Density (BMD), biomechanical property, and microstructure parameters were assayed. Furthermore, molecular targets were screened, and network pharmacology analyses were conducted to reveal the potential mechanisms of action of TFEL. RESULTS: Oral administration of TFEL for 13 weeks decreased the serum level of bone resorption marker TRACP-5b. As revealed by micro-computer tomography analysis, it elevated BMD even at a low dose (50 mg/kg/d) and improved the microstructural parameters, which were also confirmed by H&E histological staining. However, TFEL showed no effects on body weights, organ index, and micromorphology in the uterus. In our network pharmacology study, an intersection analysis screened out 64 shared targets, with quercetin, kaempferol, naringenin, and apigenin regulating the greatest number of targets associated with osteoporosis. Flavonoids in Eucommia ulmoides inhibited the occurrence of osteoporosis potentially through targeting signaling pathways for calcium, VEGF, IL-17, and NF-κB. Furthermore, AKT1, EGFR, PTGS2, VEGFA, and CALM were found to be potentially important target genes for the osteoprotective effects of flavonoids in Eucommia ulmoides. CONCLUSION: The above results suggested that TFEL can be used to elevate the peak bone mass in adolescence in female individuals, which may prevent the occurrence of postmenopausal osteoporosis, and the good safety of TFEL also suggests that it can be used as a food additive for daily life to improve the bone health.

Fleagrass, a herb known for its pleasant aroma, is widely used as a mosquito repellent, antibacterial agent, and for treating colds, reducing swelling, and alleviating pain. The antifungal effects of the essential oils of fleagrass and carvacrol against Candida albicans were investigated by evaluating the growth and the mycelial and biofilm development of C. albicans. Transmission electron microscopy was used to evaluate the integrity of the cell membrane and cell wall of C. albicans. Fleagrass exhibited high fungicidal activity against C. albicans at concentrations of 0.5% v/v (via the Ras1/cAMP/PKA pathway). Furthermore, transmission electron microscopy revealed damage to the cell wall and membrane after treatment with the essential oil, which was further confirmed by the increased levels of ß-1,3-glucan and chitin in the cell wall. This study showed that fleagrass exerts good fungicidal and hyphal growth inhibition activity against C. albicans by disrupting its cell wall, and thus, fleagrass may be a potential antifungal drug.

R-loop, a chromatin structure containing one RNA:DNA hybrid and one unpaired single-stranded DNA, plays multiple biological roles. However, due to technical limitations, the landscapes and potential functions of R-loops during embryogenesis remain elusive. Here, we developed a quantitative and high-resolution ultra-low input R-loop profiling method, named ULI-ssDRIP-seq, which can map global R-loops with as few as 1000 cells. By using ULI-ssDRIP-seq, we reveal the R-loop dynamics in the zebrafish from gametes to early embryos. In oocytes, the R-loop level is relatively low in most regions of the nuclear genome, except maternal-inherited rDNA and mitochondrial genome. The correlation between R-loop and CG methylation dynamics during early development is relatively weak. Furthermore, either up- or down-regulation of global R-loops by knockdown or overexpression of RNase H1 causes a delay of embryonic development with dramatic expression changes in zygotic and maternal genes. This study provides comprehensive R-loop landscapes during early vertebrate embryogenesis and demonstrates the implication of R-loops in embryonic development.

Human activities emitting carbon dioxide (CO2) have caused severe greenhouse effects and accelerated climate change, making carbon neutrality urgent. Seawater mineral carbonation technology offers a promising negative emission strategy. This work investigates current advancements in proposed seawater mineral carbonation technologies, including CO2 storage and ocean chemical carbon sequestration. CO2 storage technology relies on indirect mineral carbonation to fix CO2, involving CO2 dissolution, Ca/Mg extraction, and carbonate precipitation, optimized by adding alkaline substances or using electrochemical methods. Ocean chemical carbon sequestration uses natural seawater for direct mineral carbonation, enhanced by adding specific materials to promote carbonate precipitation and increase CO2 absorption, thus enhancing marine carbon sinks. This study evaluates these technologies' advantages and challenges, including reaction rates, costs, and ecological impacts, and analyzes representative materials' carbon fixation potential. Literature indicates that seawater mineral carbonation can play a significant role in CO2 storage and enhancing marine carbon sinks in the coming decades.

This study aimed to investigate the cross-sectional associations between regional Alzheimer's disease (AD) biomarkers, including tau, ß-amyloid (Aß), and brain volume, within the Papez circuit, and neuropsychological functioning across the preclinical and clinical spectrum of AD. We utilized data from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) database, including 251 Aß-positive participants. Participants were categorized into three groups based on the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR): 73 individuals with preclinical AD (CDR = 0), 114 with prodromal AD (CDR = 0.5), and 64 with clinical AD dementia (CDR ≥ 1). Linear regression analyses, adjusted for age, gender, and education years, were employed to evaluate the associations between five regions of interest (the hippocampus, para-hippocampus, entorhinal cortex, posterior cingulate cortex, and thalamus) and five neuropsychological tests across the three imaging modalities. In the preclinical stage of AD, flortaucipir PET was associated with impaired global cognition and episodic memory (range standardized ß = 0.255-0.498, p < 0.05 corrected for multiple comparisons), while florbetapir PET and brain volume were marginally related to global cognition (range standardized ß = 0.221-0.231, p < 0.05). In the clinical stages of AD (prodromal and dementia), both increased flortaucipir uptake and decreased brain volume were significantly associated with poorer global neuropsychological and episodic memory performance (range standardized ß = 0.222-0.621, p < 0.05, most regions of interest survived correction for multiple comparisions). However, a slight relationship was observed between florbetapir uptake and poorer global cognitive function. The regions most affected by flortaucipir PET were the hippocampus, para-hippocampus, and posterior cingulate cortex. During the clinical stages, the hippocampus and entorhinal cortex exhibited the most significant volumetric changes. Tau PET and brain volume measurements within the Papez circuit are more sensitive indicators of early cognitive deficits in AD than Aß PET. Furthermore, during the clinical stages of AD, both flortaucipir PET and brain volume of the Papez circuit are closely correlated with cognitive decline. These findings underscore the importance of integrating multiple biomarkers for the comprehensive evaluation of AD pathology and its impact on cognition.

Background: We conducted an overview to assess immune adverse effects associated with the COVID-19 vaccine, guiding safer choices and providing evidence-based information to clinicians. Methods: Forty-three studies on adverse effects of vaccines were reviewed from PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science. Single-arm meta-analyses estimated summary effects, incidence, presentation, etc. An overview using single-arm meta-analysis and reported the findings following the guidelines outlined in the 'Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) specifically focusing on myocarditis and thrombosis. After screening 2,591 articles, 42 studies met the inclusion criteria. Methodological quality was evaluated using AMSTAR 2. Disagreements were resolved via consensus. Data analysis utilized a random-effects model in R software to estimate incidence rates of selected adverse events. Results: After removing 1,198 duplicates and screening out irrelevant articles from a total of 2,591, we included 42 studies. Adverse reactions to vaccinations include myocarditis, thrombosis, skin reactions, GBS, etc. thrombosis and myocarditis are the most dangerous diseases associated with vaccination. Myocarditis occurred in 6% of Vector vaccine recipients, compared to 61% of mRNA vaccine recipients. Thrombosis was more common after Vector vaccination (91%) than after mRNA vaccination (9%). Furthermore, eight studies conducted anti-PF4 antibody tests and yielded a positivity rate of 67%. Meta-analysis showed that among all patients with Vaccine-induced Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis occurred in 66%, and intracranial hemorrhage occurred in 43%. The rates of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism in vaccinated patients were 13% and 23%, respectively, with a pooled case fatality rate of 30%. Conclusion: The results of this overview indicate the majority of adverse reactions are self-limiting and require minimal intervention, while rare occurrences such as myocarditis and thrombosis pose a potentially fatal threat.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, the research on symptom management in peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients has shifted from a single symptom to symptom clusters and network analysis. This study collected and evaluated unpleasant symptoms in PD patients and explored groups of symptoms that may affect PD patients with a view to higher symptom management. METHODS: The symptoms of PD patients were measured using the modified Dialysis Symptom Index. The symptom network and node characteristics were assessed by network analysis, and symptom clusters were explored by factor analysis. RESULTS: In this study of 602 PD patients (mean age 47.8 ± 16.8 years, 47.34% male), most had less than 2 years of dialysis experience. Five symptom clusters were obtained from factor analysis, which were body symptom cluster, gastrointestinal symptom cluster, mood symptom cluster, sexual disorder symptom cluster, and skin-sleep symptom cluster. Itching and decreased interest in sex may be sentinel symptoms, and being tired or lack of energy and feeling anxious are core symptoms in PD patients. CONCLUSIONS: This study emphasizes the importance of recognizing symptom clusters in PD patients for better symptom management. Five clusters were identified, with key symptoms including itching, decreased interest in sex, fatigue, and anxiety. Early intervention focused on these symptom clusters in PD patients holds promise for alleviating the burden of symptoms.

Although Chalcidoidea is one of the megadiverse superfamilies in Hymenoptera, numerous species are still being discovered and described. However, the difficulties in delimiting intra- and interspecific variation hinder this process. In this study, DNA barcoding methods using the COI gene were employed to investigate the morphological variation within Dzhanokmenia Kostjukov, 1977. The nuclear locus, 28S D2, was used to infer a phylogeny to gain an understanding of the relationship of Dzhanokmenia with other potentially close genera. Through a preliminary DNA barcode library established here, including eight species, we calibrated the intraspecific variation in certain diagnostic characters for the new species described here, D. brevifunis Ganbaatar & Cao sp. nov. Maximum likelihood results show that Dzhanokmenia is clustered with the genera associated with Tetrastichus, such as Chaenotetrastichus Graham, 1987, Baryscapus Förster, 1856, Tetrastichus Haliday, 1844, and Oomyzus Rondani, 1870 involved in this study. Our results indicate that the species diversity of Dzhanokmenia is understudied and tentatively confirm that Dzhanokmenia has a potential close relationship with Baryscapus. Along with the DNA barcode library, the referenced phylogeny datasets improve the understanding of the systematic position of Dzhanokmenia within the subfamily Tetrastichinae and the definition of this genus in terms of morphology, thereby facilitating species delimitation, discovery, and description within Dzhanokmenia.

The escalating global consumption of tetracyclines (TCs) as broad-spectrum antibiotics necessitates innovative approaches to mitigate their pervasive environmental persistence and associated risks. While initiatives such as China's antimicrobial reduction efforts highlight the urgency of responsible TC usage, the need for efficient degradation methods remains paramount. Microbial degradation emerges as a promising solution, offering novel insights into degradation pathways and mechanisms. Despite challenges, including the optimization of microbial activity conditions and the risk of antibiotic resistance development, microbial degradation showcases significant innovation in its cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, and simplicity of implementation compared to traditional degradation methods. While the published reviews have summarized some aspects of biodegradation of TCs, a systematic and comprehensive summary of all the TC biodegradation pathways, reactions, intermediates, and final products including ring-opening products involved with enzymes and mechanisms of each bacterium and fungus reported is necessary. This review aims to fill the current gap in the literature by offering a thorough and systematic overview of the structure, bioactivity mechanism, detection methods, microbial degradation pathways, and molecular mechanisms of all tetracycline antibiotics in various microorganisms. It comprehensively collects and analyzes data on the microbial degradation pathways, including bacteria and fungi, intermediate and final products, ring-opening products, product toxicity, and the degradation mechanisms for all tetracyclines. Additionally, it points out future directions for the discovery of degradation-related genes/enzymes and microbial resources that can effectively degrade tetracyclines. This review is expected to contribute to advancing knowledge in this field and promoting the development of sustainable remediation strategies for contaminated environments.

BACKGROUND: Acute kidney injury (AKI) resulting from ureteral stones in the emergency department is typically accompanied with anxiety and sleep issues in patients, which can have adverse effects on their mental health and quality of life. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is helpful in improving mental health and sleep. This work aims to analyse the effects of CBT on mental health and sleep of AKI patients caused by ureteral calculi in the emergency department. METHODS: The clinical data of patients with AKI caused by ureteral calculi in the emergency department of our hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into the control group (routine nursing) and observation group (cognitive behavioural nursing) according to the different nursing methods of data recording. Propensity Score Matching (PSM) was used to balance the confounding factors of the two groups. After matching, the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Mishel Uncertainty in Illness Scale-Adult (MUIS) and 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36) were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: After matching at a ratio of 1:1, 130 patients were included in the observation group and the control group, with 65 cases in each group. No significant difference was observed in STAI, ISI, MUIS and SF-36 scores between the two groups before nursing (p > 0.05). After nursing, the STAI, ISI and MUIS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the SF-36 score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Cognitive behavioural nursing for patients with AKI caused by ureteral calculi in the emergency department may help in retrieving patients' anxiety, reducing the severity of disease uncertainty and insomnia, improving the quality of life of patients and providing theoretical reference for clinical practice.

Prokaryotes are effective biosorbents for the recovery of uranium and other heavy metals. However, the potential mechanism of uranium bioaccumulation by filamentous strain (actinobacteria) remains unclear. This study demonstrates the potential for and mechanism of uranium bioaccumulation by living (L-SS) and inactivated (I-SS) Streptomyces sp. HX-1 isolated from uranium mine waste streams. Uranium accumulation experiments showed that L-SS and I-SS had efficient uranium adsorption potentials, with removal rates of 92.93 and 97.42%, respectively. Kinetic and equilibrium data indicated that the bioaccumulation process was consistent with the pseudo-second-order kinetic, Langmuir, and Sips isotherm models. FTIR indicated that the main functional groups of L-SS and I-SS binding uranium were uranyl, carboxyl, and phosphate groups. Moreover, the results of XRD, XPS, SEM-EDS, and TEM-EDS analyses revealed for the first time that L-SS has biomineralization and bioreduction capacity against uranium. L-SS mineralize U(VI) into NH4UO2PO4 and [Formula: see text] through the metabolic activity of biological enzymes (phosphatases). In summary, Streptomyces sp. HX-1 is a novel and efficient uranium-fixing biosorbent for the treatment of uranium-contaminated wastewater.

Immunogenic cell death (ICD) is a newly discovered form of cellular demise that triggers adaptive immune responses mediated by T cells. However, the immunogenic cell death-related lncRNAs (ICDRLs) involved in bladder cancer (BC) development and progression remain to be further elucidated. Molecular profiling data and clinicopathological information for BC patients were obtained from TCGA, and the ICDRGs list was obtained from published literature. For the identification of ICDRLs, Pearson co-expression analysis was performed, and a prognostic signature based on 13 ICDRLs was constructed by univariate assays and LASSO assays. Herein, an ICDRLSig consisting of 13 ICDRLs was constructed. KM curves and ROC curves demonstrated that the constructed signature in the TCGA training, testing, entire and external sets have good predictive performance. Multivariate assays illuminated that the signature is an independent predictor for BC patients' OS, exhibiting greater predictive power for the survival than traditional clinicopathological features. Additionally, patients in the high-ICDRLSig risk subgroup had more abundant immune infiltration, higher immune checkpoint gene expression, lower TMB and poorer response to immunotherapy. We have developed a novel ICDRLSig that can be exploited for survival prediction and provide a reference for further individualized treatment.
