Immuno-photodynamic therapy (IPDT) has emerged as a new modality for cancer treatment. Novel photosensitizers can help achieve the promise inherent in IPDT, namely, the complete eradication of a tumor without recurrence. We report here a small molecule photosensitizer conjugate, LuCXB. This IPDT agent integrates a celecoxib (cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitor) moiety with a near-infrared absorbing lutetium texaphyrin photocatalytic core. In aqueous environments, the two components of LuCXB are self-associated through inferred donor-acceptor interactions. A consequence of this intramolecular association is that upon photoirradiation with 730 nm light, LuCXB produces superoxide radicals (O2-•) via a type I photodynamic pathway; this provides a first line of defense against the tumor while promoting IPDT. For in vivo therapeutic applications, we prepared a CD133-targeting, aptamer-functionalized exosome-based nanophotosensitizer (Ex-apt@LuCXB) designed to target cancer stem cells. Ex-apt@LuCXB was found to display good photosensitivity, acceptable biocompatibility, and robust tumor targetability. Under conditions of photoirradiation, Ex-apt@LuCXB acts to amplify IPDT while exerting a significant antitumor effect in both liver and breast cancer mouse models. The observed therapeutic effects are attributed to a synergistic mechanism that combines antiangiogenesis and photoinduced cancer immunotherapy.

A new species, Astragalusliuaiminii Z. Z. Yang & Q. R. Liu (Fabaceae), is described and illustrated from Xinjiang Province, China. The new species is close to A.wenquanensis S. B. Ho, but differs from the latter by leaves having a single leaflet (vs. 3-5 leaflets), and inflorescences with 1-2 flowers (vs. inflorescences with 5-7 flowers). It is also similar to A.monophyllus Maxim in leaf shape, but differs by its calyx expanding to become saccate and totally enveloping the pod (vs. calyx tubular, and ruptured by pod after flowering).

The infiltration and cytotoxicity of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cells are crucial for effective elimination of solid tumors. While metallo-immunotherapy is a promising strategy that can activate the antitumor immunity, its role in promoting CAR-T cell therapy remains elusive. The first single-element nanomaterial based on chromium nanoparticles (Cr NPs) for cancer photo-metallo-immunotherapy has been reported previously. Herein, an extended study using biodegradable polydopamine as a versatile carrier for these nanoparticles, enabling synergistic CAR-T cell therapy, is reported. The results show that these nanocomposites with or without further encapsulation of the anticancer drug alpelisib can promote the CAR-T cell migration and antitumor effect. Upon irradiation with near-infrared light, they caused mild hyperthermia that can "warm" the "cold" tumor microenvironment (TME). The administration of B7-H3 CAR-T cells to NOD severe combined immunodeficiency gamma mice bearing a human hepatoma or PIK3CA-mutated breast tumor can significantly inhibit the tumor growth after the induction of tumor hyperthermia by the nanocomposites and promote the secretion of serum cytokines, including IL-2, IFN-γ, and TNF-α. The trivalent Cr3+ ions, which are the major degradation product of these nanocomposites, can increase the CXCL13 and CCL3 chemokine expressions to generate tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) in the tumor tissues, facilitating the CAR-T cell infiltration.

Organic solar cells, as a cutting-edge sustainable renewable energy technology, possess a myriad of potential applications, while the bottleneck problem of less than 20% efficiency limits the further development. Simultaneously achieving an ordered molecular arrangement, appropriate crystalline domain size, and reduced nonradiative recombination poses a significant challenge and is pivotal for overcoming efficiency limitations. This study employs a dual strategy involving the development of a novel acceptor and ternary blending to address this challenge. A novel non-fullerene acceptor, SMA, characterized by a highly ordered arrangement and high lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy level, is synthesized. By incorporating SMA as a guest acceptor in the PM6:BTP-eC9 system, it is observed that SMA staggered the liquid-solid transition of donor and acceptor, facilitating acceptor crystallization and ordering while maintaining a suitable domain size. Furthermore, SMA optimized the vertical morphology and reduced bimolecular recombination. As a result, the ternary device achieved a champion efficiency of 20.22%, accompanied by increased voltage, short-circuit current density, and fill factor. Notably, a stabilized efficiency of 18.42% is attained for flexible devices. This study underscores the significant potential of a synergistic approach integrating acceptor material innovation and ternary blending techniques for optimizing bulk heterojunction morphology and photovoltaic performance.

Ethylene oxide (EO) is an organic compound known for its high reactivity and negative impact on human health, but its adverse effects on depression remain poorly understood. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 2884 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 2013 and 2016. Participants were classified into four groups according to quartiles of log10-transformed hemoglobin adducts of EO (HbEO) levels. A logistic regression model was used to estimate the association between EO exposure and the risk of depression. Finally, we evaluated whether the association was mediated by inflammatory factors. Individuals with depression exhibited higher levels of hemoglobin adducts of ethylene oxide (HbEO) compared to those without depression. After adjusting for all covariates, patients in the highest quartile of HbEO (Q4 group) had a higher risk of depression, using the lowest quartile (Q1 group) as the reference group [odds ratio (OR) = 2.21, 95% confidence interval (95% CI): (1.47, 3.40)]. Additionally, the relationship between EO levels and the prevalence of depression followed a non-linear U-shaped pattern. Furthermore, inflammatory cells showed a positive correlation with EO levels. Moreover, white blood cells and neutrophils significantly mediated the relationship between HbEO and the risk of depression with mediated proportions of 14.70 and 12.55%, respectively. Exposure to ethylene oxide increases the risk of depression. Inflammatory factors partially mediated the observed association between EO exposure and depression.

This work employs nitrogen plasma immersion ion implantation (PIII) to modify electrospinning polylactic acid membranes and immobilizes basic fibroblast growth factors (bFGF) by forming crosslinking bonds. The study investigates the modified membranes' surface characteristics and the stimulatory effects of crosslinked bFGF polylactic acid membranes on osteoblast and fibroblast proliferation. The PIII process occurs under low vacuum conditions and is controlled by processing time and power pulse width. The experimental results indicate that, within a 400-second N2-PIII treatment, the spun fibers remain undamaged, demonstrating an increase in hydrophilicity (from 117° to 38°/36°) and nitrogen content (from 0% to 7.54%/8.05%). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis suggests the formation of a C-N-C=O crosslinked bond. Cell culture and activity assessments indicate that the PIII-treated and crosslinked bFGF film exhibits significantly higher cell growth activity (p < 0.05) than the untreated group. These intergroup differences are attributed to the surface crosslinking bond content. In osteogenic induction, the results for each day show that the treated group performs better. However, the intergroup disparities within the crosslinked bFGF group disappear with prolonged culture time due to the rapid osteogenesis prompted by bFGF. The findings suggest that PIII treatment of electrospinning polylactic acid membranes holds promise in promoting osteogenesis in bone tissue scaffolds.

Nipah virus (NiV), a highly pathogenic Henipavirus in humans, has been responsible for annual outbreaks in recent years. Experiments involving live NiV are highly restricted to biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratories, which impedes NiV research. In this study, we developed transcription and replication-competent NiV-like particles (trVLP-NiV) lacking N, P, and L genes. This trVLP-NiV exhibited the ability to infect and continuously passage in cells ectopically expressing N, P, and L proteins while maintaining stable genetic characteristics. Moreover, the trVLP-NiV displayed a favourable safety profile in hamsters. Using the system, we found the NiV nucleoprotein residues interacting with viral RNA backbone affected viral replication in opposite patterns. This engineered system was sensitive to well-established antiviral drugs, innate host antiviral factors, and neutralizing antibodies. We then established a high-throughput screening platform utilizing the trVLP-NiV, leading to the identification of tunicamycin as a potential anti-NiV compound. Evidence showed that tunicamycin inhibited NiV replication by decreasing the infectivity of progeny virions. In conclusion, this trVLP-NiV system provided a convenient and versatile molecular tool for investigating NiV molecular biology and conducting antiviral drug screening under BSL-2 conditions. Its application will contribute to the development of medical countermeasures against NiV infections.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are a promising target for cancer immunotherapy, but delivering therapeutic agents to TAMs within the tumor microenvironment (TME) is challenging. In this study, a photosensitive, dual-targeting nanoparticle system (M.RGD@Cr-CTS-siYTHDF1 NPs) was developed. The structure includes a shell of DSPE-modified RGD peptides targeting integrin receptors on tumor cells and carboxymethyl mannose targeting CD206 receptors on macrophages, with a core of chitosan adsorbing m6A reading protein YTHDF1 siRNA and chromium nanoparticles (Cr NPs). The approach is specifically designed to target TAM and cancer cells, utilizing the photothermal effect of Cr NPs to disrupt the TME and deliver siYTHDF1 to TAM. In experiments with tumor-bearing mice, M.RGD@Cr-CTS-siYTHDF1 NPs, when exposed to laser irradiation, effectively killed tumor cells, disrupted the TME, delivered siYTHDF1 to TAMs, silenced the YTHDF1 gene, and shifted the STAT3-STAT1 equilibrium by reducing STAT3 and enhancing STAT1 expression. This reprogramming of TAMs towards an anti-tumor phenotype led to a pro-immunogenic TME state. The strategy also suppressed immunosuppressive IL-10 production, increased expression of immunostimulatory factors (IL-12 and IFN-γ), boosted CD8 + T cell infiltration and M1-type TAMs, and reduced Tregs and M2-type TAMs within the TME. In conclusion, the dual-targeting M.RGD@Cr-CTS-siYTHDF1 NPs, integrating dual-targeting capabilities with photothermal therapy (PTT) and RNA interference, offer a promising approach for molecular targeted cancer immunotherapy with potential for clinical application.

The pavement asphalt properties are susceptible to deterioration under environmental factors, and the deterioration product will affect its surrounding aqueous environment. For this reason, the idealized asphalt-aggregate mixture was treated with coupled temperature, ultraviolet and aqueous solutions based on self-made multifactorial coupled simulation device. Subsequently, the deterioration of asphalt chemical properties was analyzed by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and saturate-aromatic-resin-asphaltene tests. Meanwhile, the effect of environmental factors on leachate properties was explored based on organic matter contents and chemical elements. Based on that, the grey correlation method was adopted to correlate asphalt chemical properties and leachate properties. The results clearly showed that environmental factors increased the sulfoxide and carbonyl group content of asphalt and transformed the chemical components within it into polar substances. The asphalt chemical properties were gradually improved when coupling ultraviolet with sodium carbonate, sodium chloride and distilled water sequentially. Compared to neutral solution, alkaline solution exacerbated the effect of asphalt precipitates on leachate properties. The environmental factors increased the organic matter contents and chemical elements of leachate with time. The interaction mechanism between asphalt and aqueous environment involved the deterioration of asphalt properties caused by the presence of water, as well as the release of precipitates from aged asphalt into surrounding aqueous environment.

BACKGROUND: Tacheng tick virus 2 (TcTV-2) is an emerging tick-borne virus belonging to the genus Uukuvirus in the family Phenuiviridae. Initially isolated in 2019 from a patient in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR), northwestern China, who developed fever and headache after a tick bite, TcTV-2 was concurrently molecularly detected in hard ticks across various countries, including China, Kazakhstan, Romania, and Turkey. This study conducted a retrospective epidemiological investigation of TcTV-2 infection. METHODOLOGY: In this retrospective cohort study, we collected samples from 47 tick-bitten patients, 984 herdsmen, 7 Asian badgers, 13 red foxes, and 168 Hyalomma asiaticum tick egg batches. Patients' samples were primarily analyzed by using high-throughput sequencing, targeting the V3-V4 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene and viral cDNA libraries. Typical tick-borne pathogens were further confirmed using RT-PCR and detected in Asian badgers, red foxes and Hy. asiaticum tick egg batches. We also conducted enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to detected specific IgM and IgG antibodies against TcTV-2 in herdsmen. Phylogenetic analysis was performed to genetically characterize TcTV-2 detected in this study. PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: TcTV-2 was detected in various samples, including blood, urine, and throat swabs from 12.77% (6/47) tick-bitten patients. It was found in blood samples of 14.29% (1/7) of wild badgers, 7.69% (1/13) of red foxes, and 13.69% (23/168) of Hy. asiaticum egg batches. Furthermore, ELISA results revealed that 9.55% (94/984) of the serum samples (34 from males and 60 from females) were tested positive for TcTV-2-specific IgG, while 2.95% (29/984, 7 males and 22 females) showed positivity for TcTV-2-specific IgM. Additionally, 1.02% (10/984, 4 males and 6 females) of the sera tested positive for both TcTV-2-specific IgM and IgG. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that the TcTV-2 strains detected in this study were genetically similar, regardless of their origin and host species. CONCLUSIONS: Clinical symptoms of TcTV-2 infection in patients are nonspecific, with common symptoms including headache, fever, asthenia, vomiting, myalgia, rash, and meningitis-like signs. TcTV-2 can be detected in blood, urine, and throat swab samples of infected patients. Among local herdsmen, 9.55% tested positive for TcTV-2-specific IgG and 2.95% for TcTV-2-specific IgM. Importantly, TcTV-2 can be transovarially transmitted in Hy. asiaticum ticks, and the Asian badgers and red foxes are potential reservoirs of TcTV-2.

The peripherical protons of the dye molecule hypericin can undergo structural interconversion (tautomerization) between different isomers through separated by a low energy barrier with rates that depends sensitively on the interaction with local chemical environment defined by the nature of host material. We investigate the deuterium (D) isotope effect of hypericin tautomerism at the single-molecule level to avoid ensemble averaging in different polymer matrices by a combined spectroscopic and computational approach. In the 'innocent' PMMA matrix only intramolecular isotope effects on the internal conversion channel and tautomerization are observed; while PVA specifically interacts with the probe via H- and D-bonding. This establishes a single molecular picture on intra- and intermolecular nano-environment effects to control chromophore photophysics and -chemistry.

The parapharyngeal space, a complex fascial compartment within the head and neck region, encompasses crucial anatomical structures including blood vessels and nerves. Tumors occurring within this space are rare, with the majority being benign in nature. Surgical intervention remains the primary treatment modality; however, managing parapharyngeal space tumors poses significant challenges due to their intricate anatomical configuration. Conventional open surgical approaches have been associated with significant tissue damage and a high prevalence of postoperative complications. Recently, advancements in anatomical studies and surgical techniques have led to significant progress in understanding parapharyngeal space anatomy and improving surgical management. This article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of these developments.

Integration of atomically thin nonlinear optical (NLO) devices demands an out-of-plane (OP) emission dipole of second harmonic generation (SHG) to enhance the spontaneous emission for nanophotonics. However, the research on van der Waals (vdWs) materials with an OP emission dipole of SHG is still in its infancy. Here, by coupling back focal plane (BFP) imaging with numerical simulations and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, we demonstrate that vdWs Janus Nb3SeI7, ranging from bulk to the monolayer limit, exhibits a dominant OP emission dipole of SHG owing to the breaking of the OP symmetry. Explicitly, even-layered Nb3SeI7 with C6v symmetry is predicted to exhibit a pure OP emission dipole attributed to the only second-order susceptibility coefficient χzxx. Meanwhile, although odd-layered Nb3SeI7 with C3v symmetry has both OP and IP dipole components (χzxx and χyyy), the value of χzxx is 1 order of magnitude greater than that of χyyy, leading to an approximate OP emission dipole of SHG. Moreover, the crystal symmetry and OP emission dipole can be preserved under hydrostatic pressure, accompanied by the enhanced χzxx and the resulting 3-fold increase in SHG intensity. The reported stable OP dipole in 2D vdWs Nb3SeI7 can facilitate the rapid development of chip-integrated NLO devices.

BACKGROUND: Modular reconstruction systems based on porous tantalum (PT) prosthetic components have been increasingly used for the treatment of complex acetabular bone defects in revision total hip arthroplasty. We report a novel technique that applies a revision cup as a "super-augment" to form a "double-cup" construct for Paprosky type III defects. METHODS: A retrospective review was conducted on revision total hip arthroplasty cases, comparing those treated with double-cup constructs (DC group, n = 48) to those treated with PT shells and augments (PT group, n = 48). All procedures were performed at the same institute between 2017 and 2022. Clinical outcome evaluation utilized the Harris Hip Score, Oxford Hip Score, and the 36-Item Short Form Survey. Preoperative and postoperative radiographic assessments measured hip center of rotation (COR) position and leg length discrepancy. Additionally, postoperative complications and implant survivorship were monitored during the follow-up period. RESULTS: The clinical outcomes improved substantially in both groups, which showed no significant difference in the Harris Hip Score (P = .786), the Oxford Hip Score (P = .570), and the 36-Item Short Form Survey (P = .691). Compared to the PT group, the reconstruction COR was significantly closer to the anatomic COR (vertical distance: 2.630 versus 7.355 mm, P = .0034; horizontal distance: 1.881 versus -6.413 mm, P < .0001) in Paprosky 3B type defects. Additionally, postoperative leg length discrepancy was less in the DC group (-8.252 versus -1.821 mm, P = .0008). Dislocation was the main complication in the DC group, and only 1 patient received re-revision due to repeated dislocation. The cumulative survival rate of the DC group (100%; 95% confidence interval 100) was better than the PT group (83.4%; 95% confidence interval 70.5 to 98.6) when re-revisions for aseptic loosening were the endpoint (P = .046). CONCLUSIONS: The DC is a reliable revision technique for the reconstruction of Paprosky type III bone defects. Although dislocation remains challenging, the biomechanically superior restoration achieved by this technique lowers the risk of aseptic loosening.

OBJECTIVE: The genomic and molecular ecology involved in the stepwise continuum progression of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) from adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) to minimally invasive adenocarcinoma (MIA) and subsequent invasive adenocarcinoma (IAC) remains unclear and requires further elucidation. We aimed to characterize gene mutations and expression landscapes, and explore the association between differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and significantly mutated genes (SMGs) during the dynamic evolution from AIS to IAC. METHODS: Thirty-five patients with ground-glass nodules (GGNs) lung adenocarcinomas were enrolled. Whole-exome sequencing (WES) and transcriptome sequencing (RNA-Seq) were conducted on all patients, encompassing both tumor samples and corresponding noncancerous tissues. Data obtained from WES and RNA-Seq were subsequently analyzed. RESULTS: The findings from WES delineated that the predominant mutations were observed in EGFR (49%) and ANKRD36C (17%). SMGs, including EGFR and RBM10, were associated with the dynamic evolution from AIS to IAC. Meanwhile, DEGs, including GPR143, CCR9, ADAMTS16, and others were associated with the entire process of invasive LUAD. We found that the signaling pathways related to cell migration and invasion were upregulated, and the signaling pathways of angiogenesis were downregulated across the pathological stages. Furthermore, we found that the messenger RNA (mRNA) levels of FAM83A, MAL2, DEPTOR, and others were significantly correlated with CNVs. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) showed that heme metabolism and cholesterol homeostasis pathways were significantly upregulated in patients with EGFR/RBM10 co-mutations, and these patients may have poorer overall survival than those with EGFR mutations. Based on the six calculation methods for the immune infiltration score, NK/CD8+ T cells decreased, and Treg/B cells increased with the progression of early LUAD. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings offer valuable insights into the unique genomic and molecular features of LUAD, facilitating the identification and advancement of precision medicine strategies targeting the invasive progression of LUAD from AIS to IAC.

RÉSUMÉ

We investigated Alongshan virus infection in reindeer in northeastern China. We found that 4.8% of the animals were viral RNA-positive, 33.3% tested positive for IgG, and 19.1% displayed neutralizing antibodies. These findings suggest reindeer could serve as sentinel animal species for the epidemiologic surveillance of Alongshan virus infection.

Reversible adhesion with on-demand attachment and detachment is used by many animals for their locomotion. However, achieving robust and switchable adhesion on rough surfaces in artificial adhesives remains a significant challenge. Here, we present a snail mucus-inspired touch-initiate adhesive (TIA), showing robust adhesions on various surfaces. TIA is a polymeric hydrogel photo-cured with the presence of supersaturated sodium acetate (NaAc) in the precursor solution. TIA is soft and flexible at room temperature, allowing it to form conformal contact with objects with various surfaces. The contact with the target surface immediately initiates the crystallization of TIA, increasing the elastic modulus of TIA by an order of magnitude. The increased modulus and the interlocking with the target surfaces thus results in an adhesion strength up to 465.56 ± 84.05 kPa. TIA can be easily detached from the surface by heating to a temperature above 58 °C, showing an adhesion strength of 12.71 ± 2.73 kPa. The detached TIA, even cooled down to and kept at room temperature, is readily used for the subsequent adhesion. The study here not only provides a highly adhesive material for on-demand attachment to various surfaces, but also proposes a new design strategy to compose smart materials.

Para-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHBA) is extensively used as an additive in the food and cosmetics industries, significantly enhancing product shelf life and stability. While microbial fermentation offers an environment-friendly and sustainable method for producing PHBA, the titer and productivity are limited due to product toxicity and complex metabolic flux distributions. Here, we initially redesigned a L-phenylalanine-producing Escherichia coli by employing rational metabolic engineering strategies, resulting in the production of PHBA reached the highest reported level of 14.17 g/L. Subsequently, a novel accelerated evolution system was devised comprising deaminase, the alpha subunit of RNA polymerase, an uracil-DNA glycosylase inhibitor, and the PHBA-responsive promoter PyhcN. This system enabled us to obtain a mutant strain exhibiting a 47% increase in the half-inhibitory concentration (IC50) for PHBA within 15 days. Finally, the evolved strain achieved a production of 21.35 g/L PHBA in a 5-L fermenter, with a yield of 0.19 g/g glucose and a productivity rate of 0.44 g/L/h. This engineered strain emerges as a promising candidate for industrial production of PHBA through an eco-friendly approach.

AIMS: Despite islet transplantation has proved a great potential to become the standard therapy for type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM), this approach remains limited by ischemia, hypoxia, and poor revascularization in early post-transplant period as well as inflammation and life-long host immune rejection. Here, we investigate the potential and mechanism of human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs)-islet organoid to improve the efficiency of islet engraftment in immunocompetent T1DM mice. MAIN METHODS: We generated the hAMSC-islet organoid structure through culturing the mixture of hAMSCs and islets on 3-dimensional-agarose microwells. Flow cytometry, whole-body fluorescent imaging, immunofluorescence, Calcein-AM/PI staining, ELISA, and qPCR were used to assess the potential and mechanism of shielding hAMSCs to improve the efficiency of islet transplantation. KEY FINDINGS: Transplant of hAMSC-islet organoids results in remarkably better glycemic control, an enhanced glucose tolerance, and a higher ß cell mass in vivo compared with control islets. Our results show that hAMSCs shielding provides an immune privileged microenvironment for islets and promotes graft revascularization in vivo. In addition, hAMSC-islet organoids show higher viability and reduced dysfunction after exposure to hypoxia and inflammatory cytokines in vitro. Finally, our results show that shielding with hAMSCs leads to the activation of PKA-CREB-IRS2-PI3K and PKA-PDX1 signaling pathways, up-regulation of SIL1 mRNA levels, and down-regulation of MT1 mRNA levels in ß cells, which ultimately promotes the synthesis, folding and secretion of insulin, respectively. SIGNIFICANCE: hAMSC-islet organoids can evidently increase the efficiency of islet engraftment and might develop into a promising alternative for the clinical treatment of T1DM.

Despite recent technological advancements in cell tumor DNA (ctDNA) mutation detection, challenges persist in identifying low-frequency mutations due to inadequate sensitivity and coverage of current procedures. Herein, we introduce a super-sensitivity and specificity technique for detecting ctDNA mutations, named HiCASE. The method utilizes PCR-based CRISPR, coupled with the restriction enzyme. In this work, HiCASE focuses on testing a series of EGFR mutations to provide enhanced detection technology for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), enabling a detection sensitivity of 0.01% with 40 ng cell free DNA standard. When applied to a panel of 140 plasma samples from 120 NSCLC patients, HiCASE exhibits 88.1% clinical sensitivity and 100% specificity with 40 µL of plasma, higher than ddPCR and Super-ARMS assay. In addition, HiCASE can also clearly distinguish T790M/C797S mutations in different positions at a 1% variant allele frequency, offering valuable guidance for drug utilization. Indeed, the established HiCASE assay shows potential for clinical applications.
