RÉSUMÉ
Organization of medical equipment supply-for the Russian Army during the First World War. The article shows that when preparing the army for the war and planning of emergency supplies for military time the Russian military department was guided by the experience gained during the Russo-Japanese War, which turned old by that time, and as a result during the First World War the medical service noticed a significant lack of medications,surgical instruments and other medical equipment. There were few bases of medical equipment in the troop district. The undertaken emergency measures allowed improving supply of medical institutions and troops with medical equipment.

Demand of the army for the pharmaceutical specialists conduced to the organization of the training of the highly qualified Russian specialist. The first licensed specialists didn't have military education but were drafted into the army. As military-medical service advanced, it was found that military-medicine service needed not just druggists, but the organizers of military-medical supply. They should know military science, should be able in peace-time and in time of war to supply with all necessary the first aid actions and treatment of the wounded and ill. As a result of this, in the 20th century was founded and successfully worked the system of military pharmaceutists training and staff development and even with military education.

Rapid and simple calculations make it possible to get precise data for requirements estimate of medical supplies, including opportune replacement of medicaments and other disposables which have a reduced period of storage, etc. The calculations of weight and volume of medical supplies give the possibility to evaluate transport and depot requirements. This mathematical model is destined for projection of automatic information systems in the interests of medical supplies.
