Background: Epilepsy ranks among the most common neurological disorders worldwide, frequently accompanied by depression as a prominent comorbidity. This study employs bibliometric analysis to reveal the research of comorbid epilepsy and depression over the past two decades, aiming to explore trends and contribute insights to ongoing investigations. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive search on the Web of Science Core Collection database and downloaded relevant publications on comorbid epilepsy and depression published from 2003 to 2023. VOSviewer and CiteSpace were mainly used to analyze the authors, institutions, countries, publishing journals, reference co-citation patterns, keyword co-occurrence, keyword clustering, and other aspects to construct a knowledge atlas. Results: A total of 5,586 publications related to comorbid epilepsy and depression were retrieved, with a general upward trend despite slight fluctuations in annual publications. Publications originated from 121 countries and 636 institutions, with a predominant focus on clinical research. The United States led in productivity (1,529 articles), while Melbourne University emerged as the most productive institution (135 articles). EPILEPSY & BEHAVIOR was the journal with the highest publication output (1,189 articles) and citation count. Keyword analysis highlighted emerging trends, including "recognitive impairment" and "mental health," indicating potential future research hotspots and trends. Conclusion: This study is one of the first to perform a bibliometric analysis of the 20-year scientific output of comorbid epilepsy and depression. While research has trended upwards, ambiguity in pathogenesis and the absence of standardized diagnostic guidelines remain concerning. Our analysis offers valuable guidance for researchers, informing that this might be a strong area for future collaborations.

BACKGROUND: Understanding the burden of aortic stenosis (AS) across diverse racial and ethnic populations is important to ensure equitable resource allocation. This study explored whether severe AS rate varies by race and ethnicity. METHODS: The rates of severe AS, stratified by race and ethnicity, were calculated among 615,038 adults with a transthoracic echocardiogram. Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify factors associated with severe AS. RESULTS: Severe AS rates ranged from 0.08% in adults < 50 years old to 3.8% in those ≥ 90 years old. Compared to non-Hispanic White and Asian American [adjusted odds ratio (aOR) = 0.47, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.42-0.53] and non-Hispanic Black (aOR = 0.44, 95% CI: 0.39-0.50) patients were less likely to have severe AS, whereas Hispanic patients (aOR = 0.91, 95% CI: 0.87-0.98) had near similar likelihood. Age was the strongest risk factor for severe AS (compared to age < 50 years, aOR = 21.8, 95% CI: 17.8-26.6 for age 80-89 years, and aOR = 43.8, 95% 35.5-54.0 for age ≥ 90 years). Additional factors associated with severe AS included male sex (aOR = 1.38, 95% CI: 1.30-1.46) and diabetes (aOR = 1.23, 95% CI: 1.15-1.31). CONCLUSIONS: Asian American and non-Hispanic Black adults had lower rates of severe AS compared to White and Hispanic patients. The rate of severe AS progressively increases with age in all racial and ethnic groups, with higher rates in men compared with women. With a demographic shift toward an aging and more diverse population, the burden of AS is anticipated to rise. Ensuring adequate allocation of resources to meet the evolving needs of a diverse population remains a shared health care imperative.

Disclosed herein is a rhodium(III)-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization of ynamides with propargyl esters. A variety of highly functionalized 2,5-dihydropyrroles were obtained in moderate to good yields with high E/Z selectivities. Subsequent oxidation of the products gave valuable pyrrole derivatives. Additionally, scale-up reactions and late-stage derivatizations highlight the potential synthetic utility of this methodology.

The development of broad-spectrum coronavirus vaccines is essential to prepare for future respiratory virus pandemics. We demonstrated broad neutralization by a trivalent subunit vaccine, formulating the receptor-binding domains of SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and SARS-CoV-2 XBB.1.5 with Alum and CpG55.2. Vaccinated mice produced cross-neutralizing antibodies against all three human Betacoronaviruses and others currently exclusive to bats, indicating the epitope preservation of the individual antigens during co-formulation and the potential for epitope broadening.

Recent expansion of proteomic coverage opens unparalleled avenues to unveil new biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Among 6,361 cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) proteins analysed from the ADNI database, YWHAG performed best in diagnosing both biologically (AUC = 0.969) and clinically (AUC = 0.857) defined AD. Four- (YWHAG, SMOC1, PIGR and TMOD2) and five- (ACHE, YWHAG, PCSK1, MMP10 and IRF1) protein panels greatly improved the accuracy to 0.987 and 0.975, respectively. Their superior performance was validated in an independent external cohort and in discriminating autopsy-confirmed AD versus non-AD, rivalling even canonical CSF ATN biomarkers. Moreover, they effectively predicted the clinical progression to AD dementia and were strongly associated with AD core biomarkers and cognitive decline. Synaptic, neurogenic and infectious pathways were enriched in distinct AD stages. Mendelian randomization did not support the significant genetic link between CSF proteins and AD. Our findings revealed promising high-performance biomarkers for AD diagnosis and prediction, with implications for clinical trials targeting different pathomechanisms.

The genetic contribution of protein-coding variants to immune-mediated diseases (IMDs) remains underexplored. Through whole exome sequencing of 40 IMDs in 350,770 UK Biobank participants, we identified 162 unique genes in 35 IMDs, among which 124 were novel genes. Several genes, including FLG which is associated with atopic dermatitis and asthma, showed converging evidence from both rare and common variants. 91 genes exerted significant effects on longitudinal outcomes (interquartile range of Hazard Ratio: 1.12-5.89). Mendelian randomization identified five causal genes, of which four were approved drug targets (CDSN, DDR1, LTA, and IL18BP). Proteomic analysis indicated that mutations associated with specific IMDs might also affect protein expression in other IMDs. For example, DXO (celiac disease-related gene) and PSMB9 (alopecia areata-related gene) could modulate CDSN (autoimmune hypothyroidism-, psoriasis-, asthma-, and Graves' disease-related gene) expression. Identified genes predominantly impact immune and biochemical processes, and can be clustered into pathways of immune-related, urate metabolism, and antigen processing. Our findings identified protein-coding variants which are the key to IMDs pathogenesis and provided new insights into tailored innovative therapies.

In order to explore the spatiotemporal variation characteristics and driving mechanism of water quality in the Xiangjiang River Basin, the data of 16 water quality parameters at 113 stations over 26 years from 1990 to 2016 in the Xiangjiang River Basin were collected for synthetically assessing the water quality and identifying its main pollutants through the water quality index and other methods. The causal mechanism of water quality, especially the driving effect of water level and land use pattern, was analyzed. The results showed that: ① The overall water quality grade of the Xiangjiang River Basin during the study period was "good." However, the water quality deteriorated first (from 1990 to 2003) and then improved (from 2004 to 2016). The season variation in water quality was not obvious, but the water quality fluctuation of the wet season was larger. The water pollution load of the main stream decreased successively from the middle reaches, downstream reaches, and upstream reaches. The upstream tributaries had the best water quality, whereas areas with poor water quality were mainly distributed at the mouth of the middle and downstream tributaries, especially in areas where multiple tributaries converged. ② Toxic heavy metals had the characteristics of toxicity, persistence, and bioaccumulation. If they exceeded a certain concentration in water, they were difficult to purify, posing great harm to the natural environment and human health. The toxic metal index (CI1) was the leading factor affecting water quality, in which Hg and Cd were the main parameters affecting the overall water quality of the Xiangjiang River Basin. ③ The water level had a positive impact on the water quality of the Xiangjiang River by diluting environmental parameters. Land type had little effect on heavy metal concentration, whereas forest land could improve water quality. Grassland had a negative correlation with permanganate index over a large scale range (≥ 5 km). The increase in water bodies, arable land, and impermeable surface areas within the watershed increased the probability of high fecal coliform concentration in the water body. ④ With the increase in buffer distance, the water quality explained by the land use pattern increased. On the scale of 10 km buffer zone in the riparian zone, the explanation degree by land use pattern on water quality was the highest, which was an effective scale for water quality control of the Xiangjiang River. This research showed that the driving factors of heavy metal pollution and other pollution were different, but their regional differences were all obvious in the Xiangjiang River Basin. Therefore, pollution control should be classified and taken according to local conditions.

INTRODUCTION: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a devastating neurological disease with complex genetic etiology. Yet most known loci have only identified from the late-onset type AD in populations of European ancestry. METHODS: We performed a two-stage genome-wide association study (GWAS) of AD totaling 6878 Chinese and 63,926 European individuals. RESULTS: In addition to the apolipoprotein E (APOE) locus, our GWAS of two independent Chinese samples uncovered three novel AD susceptibility loci (KIAA2013, SLC52A3, and TCN2) and a novel ancestry-specific variant within EGFR (rs1815157). More replicated variants were observed in the Chinese (31%) than in the European samples (15%). In combining genome-wide associations and functional annotations, EGFR and TCN2 were prioritized as two of the most biologically significant genes. Phenome-wide Mendelian randomization suggests that high mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration might protect against AD. DISCUSSION: The current study reveals novel AD susceptibility loci, emphasizes the importance of diverse populations in AD genetic research, and advances our understanding of disease etiology. HIGHLIGHTS: Loci KIAA2013, SLC52A3, and TCN2 were associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD) in Chinese populations. rs1815157 within the EGFR locus was associated with AD in Chinese populations. The genetic architecture of AD varied between Chinese and European populations. EGFR and TCN2 were prioritized as two of the most biologically significant genes. High mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentrations might have protective effects against AD.

BACKGROUND: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is highly prevalent worldwide, and its global burden is substantial and growing. CKD displays a number of features of accelerated senescence. Tubular cell senescence is a common biological process that contributes to CKD progression. Tubulointerstitial inflammation is a driver of tubular cell senescence and a common characteristic of CKD. However, the mechanism by which the interstitial inflammation drives tubular cell senescence remains unclear. This paper aims to explore the role of exosomal miRNAs derived from macrophages in the development of tubular cell senescence. METHODS: Among the identified inflammation-related miRNAs, miR-155 is considered to be one of the most important miRNAs involved in the inflammatory response. Macrophages, the primary immune cells that mediate inflammatory processes, contain a high abundance of miR-155 in their released exosomes. We assessed the potential role of miR-155 in tubular cell senescence and renal fibrosis. We subjected miR-155-/- mice and wild-type controls, as well as tubular epithelial cells (TECs), to angiotensin II (AngII)-induced kidney injury. We assessed kidney function and injury using standard techniques. TECs were evaluated for cell senescence and telomere dysfunction in vivo and in vitro. Telomeres were measured by the fluorescence in situ hybridization. RESULTS: Compared with normal controls, miR-155 was up-regulated in proximal renal tubule cells in CKD patients and mouse models of CKD. Moreover, the expression of miR-155 was positively correlated with the extent of renal fibrosis, eGFR decline and p16INK4A expression. The overexpression of miR-155 exacerbated tubular senescence, evidenced by increased detection of p16INK4A/p21expression and senescence-associated ß-galactosidase activity. Notably, miR-155 knockout attenuates renal fibrosis and tubule cell senescence in vivo. Interestingly, once released, macrophages-derived exosomal miR-155 was internalized by TECs, leading to telomere shortening and dysfunction through targeting TRF1. A dual-luciferase reporter assay confirmed that TRF1 was the direct target of miR-155. Thus, our study clearly demonstrates that exosomal miR-155 may mediate communication between macrophages and TECs, subsequently inducing telomere dysfunction and senescence in TECs. CONCLUSIONS: Our work suggests a new mechanism by which macrophage exosomes are involved in the development of tubule senescence and renal fibrosis, in part by delivering miR-155 to target TRF1 to promote telomere dysfunction. Our study may provide novel strategies for the treatment of AngII-induced kidney injury.

BACKGROUND: Psoriasis, an autoimmune skin condition, affects 2%-4% of the global population, with significant prevalence among women of childbearing age. Pregnancy presents challenges in managing psoriasis due to hormonal changes and treatment safety concerns. Understanding treatment patterns in pregnant women is crucial, given limited real-world evidence. OBJECTIVES: Explore the utilization patterns of medications among pregnant women diagnosed with psoriasis within a real-world data, utilizing data sourced from a nationwide database in Taiwan. METHODS: This nationwide study utilized Taiwan's National Health Insurance (NHI) database and Birth Certificate Application. It included registered pregnant women diagnosed with psoriasis from 2005 to 2014. Medication usage was tracked three years before conception to three years after delivery. Medications were categorized based on Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) codes, and statistical analyses were conducted using SAS software. RESULTS: A total of 30,267 pregnant women with psoriasis were studied. 11,651 (38.49%) mothers had received at least one prescription during follow-up (exposed group), and >60% had never received medication (unexposed group). Demographics and comorbidities were similar between these two groups. Topical corticosteroids were the most prescribed treatment, followed by phototherapy, with systemic drugs and biologics less common. During the study period, 11,096 women with psoriasis had used topical corticosteroids, 3,376 had used non-steroidal topical agents, 218 had used systemic agents or biologics, and 519 had received treatment with phototherapy. Medication usage declined during pregnancy, reaching its lowest in the third trimester but rebounded postpartum. CONCLUSIONS: Psoriasis medications, systemic, biological, or topical, were largely discontinued during pregnancy, sometimes up to 2 years before and extending postpartum. Research is needed to understand its impact on maternal and child health.

To explore the mechanism of the classic formula Sanpian Decoction in treating chronic migraine, this study employed the four-dimensional data-dependent acquisition(4D-DIA) proteomics to analyze the effect of the decoction on chronic migraine in rats and experimentally verified the key differentially expressed proteins. Firstly, SD male rats were randomly divided into groups and repeatedly injected with nitroglycerin to prepare a chronic migraine model. After 7 consecutive days of gavage, rat grimace scale(RGS) was employed to evaluate the treatment efficacy. The trigeminal ganglion was collected for 4D-DIA proteomics, on the basis of which the diffe-rentially expressed proteins between groups were screened. Multiple databases were used for the Gene Ontology(GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) enrichment of the differentially expressed proteins. STRING and Cytoscape were employed to establish the protein-protein interaction(PPI) network. Western blot was employed to determine the expression level of the key diffe-rentially expressed protein TRPV1. The results showed that there were 517 differentially expressed proteins between blank group and model group and 221 differentially expressed proteins between model group and medium-dose Sanpian Decoction group. The GO and KEGG enrichment results showed that these differentially expressed proteins were mainly related to inflammatory response, injurious sensory stimulation, triglyceride metabolism, immune regulation, etc., which mainly involved the inflammation-related TRP, AMPK, PI3K-Akt, and TGF-ß signaling pathways. The PPI network showed that the target proteins such as IGF, TOP2A, APOA1, CDK1, TTN, RYR1, and CSRP3 had high degrees. Compared with that in model group, the expression level of TRPV1 altered in medium-and high-dose Sanpian Decoction group(P<0.05). In conclusion, Sanpian Decoction may treat chronic migraine by regulating the inflammation-related pathways such as TRP, AMPK, and PI3K-Akt. It plays an important role in the regulation of TRPV1 protein and potentially modulates the perception of injurious stimuli, lipid metabolism, and immune responses.

OBJECTIVE: To find efficient cuproptosis-related biomarkers to explore the oncogenesis and progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). METHODS: All the original data were downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Univariate Cox analysis and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis were used to identify the gene related to survival. Tumor Immune Estimation Resource 2.0 (TIMER 2.0) was used to reveal the different expression of cuproptosis-related gene lipoyltransferase 1 (LIPT1) in various kinds of tumours. RESULTS: LIPT1, as a cuproptosis-related gene, was found to be differentially expressed in the OSCC group and the control group. It was also found to be related to the prognosis of OSCC. Pan cancer analysis showed LIPT1 was also involved in various kinds of tumours. CONCLUSION: All the results demonstrate that the cuproptosis-related gene LIPT1 is highly involved in the oncogenesis and progression of OSCC. These findings give new insight for further research into the cuproptosis-related biomarkers in OSCC.

The concept of solar geoengineering remains a topic of debate, yet it may be an effective way for cooling the Earth's temperature. Nevertheless, the impact of solar geoengineering on regional or local climate patterns is an active area of research. This study aims to evaluate the impact of solar geoengineering on precipitation and temperature extremes of the Muda River Basin (MRB), a very important agricultural basin situated in the northern Peninsular Malaysia. The analysis utilized the multi-model ensemble mean generated by four models that contributed to the Geoengineering Model Intercomparison Project (GeoMIP6). These models were configured to simulate the solar irradiance reduction (G6solar) and stratospheric sulfate aerosols (G6sulfur) strategies as well as the moderate (SSP245) and high emission (SSP585) experiments. Prior to the computation of extreme indices, a linear scaling approach was employed to bias correct the daily precipitation, maximum and minimum temperatures. The findings show that the G6solar and G6sulfur experiments, particularly the latter, could be effective in holding the increases in both annual and monthly mean precipitation totals and temperature extremes close to the increases projected under SSP245. For example, both G6solar and G6sulfur experiments project increases of temperature over the basin of 2 °C at the end of the 21st century as compared to 3.5 °C under SSP585. The G6solar and G6sulfur experiments also demonstrate some reliability in modulating the increases in precipitation extreme indices associated with flooding to match those under SSP245. However, the G6sulfur experiment may exacerbate dry conditions in the basin, as monthly precipitation is projected to decrease during the dry months from January to May and consecutives dry days are expected to increase, particularly during the 2045-2064 and 2065-2084 periods. Increases dry spells could indirectly affect agricultural and freshwater supplies, and pose considerable challenges to farmers.

Adaptive information seeking is essential for humans to effectively navigate complex and dynamic environments. Here, we developed a gaze-contingent eye-tracking paradigm to examine the early emergence of adaptive information-seeking. Toddlers (N = 60, 18-36 months) and adults (N = 42) either learnt that an animal was equally likely to be found in any of four available locations, or that it was most likely to be found in one particular location. Afterwards, they were given control of a torchlight, which they could move with their eyes to explore the otherwise pitch-black task environment. Eye-movement data and Markov models show that, from 24 months of age, toddlers become more exploratory than adults, and start adapting their exploratory strategies to the information structure of the task. These results show that toddlers' search strategies are more sophisticated than previously thought, and identify the unique features that distinguish their information search from adults'.

The fermentation process has a significant impact on the aromatic profile of wines, particularly in relation to the difference in fermentation matrix caused by grape varieties. This study investigates the leaching and evolution patterns of aroma compounds in Vitis vinifera L. Marselan and Merlot during an industrial-scale vinification process, including the stages of cold soak, alcohol fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and one-year bottle storage. The emphasis is on the differences between the two varieties. The results indicated that most alcohols were rapidly leached during the cold soak stage. Certain C6 alcohols, terpenes, and norisoprenoids showed faster leaching rates in 'Marselan', compared to 'Merlot'. Some branched chain fatty-acid esters, such as ethyl 3-methylbutyrate, ethyl 2-methylbutyrate, and ethyl lactate, consistently increased during the fermentation and bottling stages, with faster accumulation observed in 'Marselan'. The study combines the Orthogonal Partial Least Squares-Discriminant Analysis (OPLS-DA) model based on odor activity values to elucidate the accumulation of these ethyl esters during bottle storage, compensating for the reduction in fruity aroma resulting from decreased levels of (E)-ß-damascenone. The 'Marselan' wine exhibited a more pronounced floral aroma due to its higher level of linalool, compared to the 'Merlot' wine. The study unveils the distinctive variation patterns of aroma compounds from grapes to wine across grape varieties. This provides a theoretical framework for the precise regulation of wine aroma and flavor, and holds significant production value.

BACKGROUND: Weight loss can improve the metabolic complications of obesity. However, it is unclear whether insulin resistance persists despite weight loss and whether any protective benefits are preserved following weight regain (weight cycling). The impact of genetic background on weight cycling is undocumented. We aimed to investigate the effects of weight loss and weight cycling on metabolic outcomes and sought to clarify the role of genetics in this relationship. METHOD: Both C57BL/6 J and genetically heterogeneous Diversity Outbred Australia (DOz) mice were alternately fed high fat Western-style diet (WD) and a chow diet at 8-week intervals. Metabolic measures including body composition, glucose tolerance, pancreatic beta cell activity, liver lipid levels and adipose tissue insulin sensitivity were determined. RESULTS: After diet switch from WD (8-week) to chow (8-week), C57BL/6 J mice displayed a rapid normalisation of body weight, adiposity, hyperinsulinemia, liver lipid levels and glucose uptake into adipose tissue comparable to chow-fed controls. In response to the same dietary intervention, genetically diverse DOz mice conversely maintained significantly higher fat mass and insulin levels compared to chow-fed controls and exhibited much more profound interindividual variability than C57BL/6 J mice. Weight cycled (WC) animals were re-exposed to WD (8-week) and compared to age-matched controls fed 8-week WD for the first time (LOb). In C57BL/6 J but not DOz mice, WC animals had significantly higher blood insulin levels than LOb controls. All WC animals exhibited significantly greater beta cell activity than LOb controls despite similar fat mass, glucose tolerance, liver lipid levels and insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipose tissue. CONCLUSION: Following weight loss, metabolic outcomes return to baseline in C57BL/6 J mice with obesity. However, genetic diversity significantly impacts this response. A period of weight loss does not provide lasting benefits after weight regain, and weight cycling is detrimental and associated with hyperinsulinemia and elevated basal insulin secretion.

Diabetic kidney disease is one of the most severe chronic microvascular complications of diabetes and a primary cause of end-stage renal disease. Clinical studies have shown that renal inflammation is a key factor determining kidney damage during diabetes. With the development of immunological technology, many studies have shown that diabetic nephropathy is an immune complex disease, and that most patients have immune dysfunction. However, the immune response associated with diabetic nephropathy and autoimmune kidney disease, or caused by ischemia or infection with acute renal injury, is different, and has a com-plicated pathological mechanism. In this review, we discuss the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy in immune disorders and the intervention mechanism, to provide guidance and advice for early intervention and treatment of diabetic nephropathy.

INTRODUCTION: The DESyne novolimus-eluting coronary stent (NES) is a new-generation drug-eluting stent (DES) that is widely used, but clinical data are rarely reported for this stent. We compared the safety and effectiveness of the DESyne NES and the Orsiro bioresorbable polymer sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). METHODS: This was a retrospective, single-center, observational study. Between July 2017 and December 2022, patients who presented with chronic or acute coronary syndrome undergoing PCI with DESyne NES or Orsiro SES were consecutively enrolled in the present study. The primary endpoint, major adverse cardiovascular event (MACE), was a composite of cardiovascular death, target-vessel myocardial infarction, or clinically driven target-lesion revascularization. RESULTS: A total of 776 patients (age 68.8 ± 12.2; 75.9% male) undergoing PCI were included. Overall, 231 patients with 313 lesions received NES and 545 patients with 846 lesions received SES. During a follow-up duration of 784 ± 522 days, the primary endpoint occurred in 10 patients (4.3%) in the NES group and in 36 patients (6.6%) in the SES group. After multivariate adjustment, the risk of MACE did not significantly differ between groups (NES vs. SES, hazard ratio 0.74, 95% CI, 0.35-1.55, p = 0.425). The event rate of individual components of the primary endpoint was comparable between the two groups. CONCLUSIONS: Favorable and similar clinical outcomes were observed in patients undergoing PCI with either NES or SES in a medium-term follow-up duration. Future studies with adequately powered clinical endpoints are required for further evaluation.

Patients with hemorrhagic stroke have high rates of morbidity and mortality, and drugs for prevention are very limited. Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis can increase the success rate of drug development by providing genetic evidence. Previous MR analyses only analyzed the role of individual drug target genes in hemorrhagic stroke; therefore, we used MR analysis to systematically explore the druggable genes for hemorrhagic stroke. We sequentially performed summary-data-based MR analysis and two-sample MR analysis to assess the associations of all genes within the database with intracranial aneurysm, intracerebral hemorrhage, and their subtypes. Validated genes were further analyzed by colocalization. Only genes that were positive in all three analyses and were druggable were considered desirable genes. We also explored the mediators of genes affecting hemorrhagic stroke incidence. Finally, the associations of druggable genes with other cardiovascular diseases were analyzed to assess potential side effects. We identified 56 genes that significantly affected hemorrhagic stroke incidence. Moreover, TNFSF12, SLC22A4, SPARC, KL, RELT, and ADORA3 were found to be druggable. The inhibition of TNFSF12, SLC22A4, and SPARC can reduce the risk of intracranial aneurysm, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and intracerebral hemorrhage. Gene-induced hypertension may be a potential mechanism by which these genes cause hemorrhagic stroke. We also found that blocking these genes may cause side effects, such as ischemic stroke and its subtypes. Our study revealed that six druggable genes were associated with hemorrhagic stroke, and the inhibition of TNFSF12, SLC22A4, and SPARC had preventive effects against hemorrhagic strokes.

The aviation industry's emissions have had a significant impact on global climate change. This study focuses on carbon emission trading schemes, sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs), and hydrogen energy, as vital means for the aviation industry to reduce emissions. To evaluate the climate effects of global routes under four scenarios (24 sub-scenarios) until 2100, this study proposes the Aviation-FAIR (Aviation-Finite Amplitude Impulse Response) method. The findings reveal that while CO2 emissions and concentrations are significant, other emissions, such as N2O and CH4, have a greater effective radiative forcing (ERF) and contribute significantly to climate change. Moreover, SAFs are more effective in mitigating airline pollutant emissions than relying solely on carbon trading schemes. The effectiveness of hydrogen fuel cells may be hindered by technical limitations compared to hydrogen turbine engines. The findings of this study provide reference for the global aviation industry to adopt emission reduction measures.
