OBJECTIVES: This study aims to construct and apply a training course system which was scientific and comprehensive to foster the core competence of infectious disease specialist nurses. DESIGN: A two-round Delphi consultation survey was carried out to collect feedback from experts on constructing the training course system of core competence for infectious disease specialist nurses. Besides, a non-randomized controlled experimental study was adopted to check the application effect of the courses. METHODS: This study adopted a series of methods including group discussion, theoretical analysis and Delphi consultation to draft the training course content of core competence of infectious disease specialist nurses. Twenty-one Chinese experts were invited to participate in the Delphi consultation from November 2021 to December 2021. From October 2022 to January 2023, a total of 105 infectious disease specialist nurses from two training bases were selected by the convenience sampling method, of which the nurses in one training base were the control group and the nurses in the other training base were the observation group. The observation group was trained by the constructed core competence training course. Questionnaire evaluation was used to compare the core competence of infectious disease specialist nurses and the training effect. RESULTS: The experts, regarded as the authorities on the subject, were highly motivated in this study. Besides, they reached a consensus on the results. The final training course system of core competence for infectious disease specialist nurses focused on 5 competence modules and was composed of 12 categories of courses with 66 classes and corresponding objectives. The core competence scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group after training (P < 0.05), which proved the training system can effectively enhance the core competence of infectious disease specialist nurses. CONCLUSIONS: The research methods embodied scientific and precise properties. The course system was comprehensive in content and reliable in results. It could serve as a reference for training infectious disease specialist nurses.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective:To construct a training course system for online appointment nurses based on post competence,and to provide references for the training and development of online appointment nurses in China.Methods:From January 2021 to May 2022, based on the theory of post competence, literature review, policy research, questionnaire survey and and expert consultation were used to establish the training course system of online appointment nurses.Results:The effective recovery rates of the two rounds of expert consultation questionnaires were 18/18 and 17/18, respectively; the expert authority coefficient was 0.928 and 0.938, respectively; and the Kendall harmony coefficient was 0.185 and 0.284, respectively, the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.001). The final content of the training course system for online appointment nurses included 4 first-level indicators,which were professional knowledge, professional skills, professional abilities and traits, 19 second-level indicators and 58 third-level indicators. Conclusions:The training course system of online appointment nurses based on post competency is scientific, reasonable and prominent,which can provide reference for training of online appointment nurses in China.

Synthetic biology, a course with a sound theoretical system and a wide application range, plays a role in the cultivation of innovative talents in the field of bioengineering. To this end, we have set up a synthetic biology course in our university. First, according to the concept of imparting basic knowledge, highlighting innovative practice, and keeping up with cutting-edge progress, we assembled a high-level teaching team for synthetic biology. The team constantly adjusted and optimized the course contents and achieved a novel and reasonable course system. Second, we introduced frontier cases of synthetic biology reported in high-level journals, as well as breaking news in this field in classroom teaching, which enriched the teaching contents and aroused students' interest. Third, taking these cases as the breakthrough point, we guided students to in-depth discussions through the learning-centered teaching mode to improve students' abilities of critical thinking and theoretical innovation. In summary, the course has achieved good teaching outcomes and improved the cultivation of innovative talents. Therefore, we share our work with peer teachers, aiming to give new insights into the teaching reform of synthetic biology and other related courses.

Therefore, it is essential to establish a comprehensive experimental course system that adapts to the undergraduate education of environmental science. Here, we introduce the "basic-specialized-comprehensive" experimental course system of Xiamen University, which is established following the principles of being systematic, comprehensive, and modular. To establish this course system, we first increased the investment of lab facilities and enhanced the management of student labs. Then, we improved the contexts of teaching and training according to the requirements of industry and society. Showing how this course system is developed stepwise and the training effects of this system, we hope to provide a reference for the experimental courses of environmental science in colleges and universities.

RÉSUMÉ

Objective To construct a suitable system of professional degree of prevention and health care of TCM postgraduates based on practical ability. Methods Dephi method was used to carry out two rounds of questionnaire survey on 30 experts from top three hospitals and TCM colleges and universities in different regions to evaluate the level of experts' initiative, authority and coordination. Results After 2 rounds of inquiry, it was concluded that the prevention and health care professional postgraduate training practical ability mainly included clinical ability (100%), research ability (73.3%), management ability (76.7%) and education ability (90.0%). On the basis of this, 11 compulsory courses and 5 elective courses were established, and clinical practice was built at the same time. Conclusion This study of professional degree courses for prevention and health care of TCM postgraduates on the construction based on practical ability training is feasible.

RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:Based onchemistry-biology-psychology-society-medicine-pharmacyin the overall framework of pharmacy undergraduate self-examination course system,it was designed with target of cultivating applied talents;related con-tents in public basic courses,humanities basic course and professional ethics course should throughout the whole teaching process;professional main course should be pharmaceutical knowledge-based,supplemented by medical related courses;the school should set vocational elective course to reform based on combining with the own teaching research direction,characteristics and career ori-entation of different self-taught students. The reform can develop applied talents with ability and political integrity,which meets the needs of social development.
