BACKGROUND: Bladder leiomyomas are rare benign growths in the bladder, comprising less than 0.5% of bladder tumors with only 250 cases reported globally. They are more common in women. This case involves a 70-year-old woman with recurrent leiomyoma, presenting with lower urinary tract symptoms and painless hematuria. A recurrent bladder leiomyoma is rarely reported, making its presence exceptionally rare. CASE PRESENTATION: A 70-year-old Pakistani woman with hypertension and diabetes presented with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and painless hematuria. She had a history of similar symptoms in 2010, leading to a diagnosis of bladder leiomyoma via cystoscopy and biopsy. Imaging studies revealed a substantial 3.7 × 4 × 4.0 cm isodense mass with calcifications at the bladder base, along with bladder wall thickening and diverticula. Pathological examination during Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT) confirmed the presence of bladder tissue with smooth muscle, ruling out malignancy. Immunohistochemical studies supported the diagnosis. A successful TURBT was performed, and the patient recovered well. DISCUSSION: Recurrent bladder leiomyoma is a rarely-discussed topic in medical literature. This article primarily aims to review existing studies and present a detailed case study, shedding light on this rare phenomenon.

Background: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) represent a diverse group of neoplasms that arise from neuroendocrine cells, with Ki-67 immunostaining serving as a crucial biomarker for assessing tumor proliferation and prognosis. Accurate and reliable quantification of Ki-67 labeling index is essential for effective clinical management. Methods: We aimed to evaluate the performance of open-source/open-access deep learning cloud-native platform, DeepLIIF (https://deepliif.org), for the quantification of Ki-67 expression in gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors and compare it with the manual quantification method. Results: Our results demonstrate that the DeepLIIF quantification of Ki-67 in NETs achieves a high degree of accuracy with an intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) = 0.885 with 95% CI (0.848-0.916) which indicates good reliability when compared to manual assessments by experienced pathologists. DeepLIIF exhibits excellent intra- and inter-observer agreement and ensures consistency in Ki-67 scoring. Additionally, DeepLIIF significantly reduces analysis time, making it a valuable tool for high-throughput clinical settings. Conclusion: This study showcases the potential of open-source/open-access user-friendly deep learning platforms, such as DeepLIIF, for the quantification of Ki-67 in neuroendocrine tumors. The analytical validation presented here establishes the reliability and robustness of this innovative method, paving the way for its integration into routine clinical practice. Accurate and efficient Ki-67 assessment is paramount for risk stratification and treatment decisions in NETs and AI offers a promising solution for enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient care in the field of neuroendocrine oncology.

Purpose: The purpose of the research is to highlight the use of social media and information technology in employee recruitment by providing a conceptual recruitment model in the aspects of theoretical foundations and empirical evidence on the factors and outcomes leading to the use of social media recruiting technology (SMART). Design/methodology/approach: A total of 4,481 organizations are listed as the population of the study, and a total of 589 responses are used in the study for data analysis. Selection of the sample is done based on the simple random sampling technique. Appropriateness of sample size is confirmed with the help of G*Power (3.1.9.2) software, which calculated a sample size of 326 with 99% power, a multiple correlation (R) of 0.30, and at a significance level of 0.05. Findings: The paper provides empirical insights into the elements of the extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology; i.e., performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habit, and price value have positive relations with the intention to adopt social media recruiting technology, and the intention impacts use of social media recruiting technology. Furthermore, the use of social media recruiting technology impacts outcome variables, i.e., social media recruiting time, cost, and recruitment quality, which establish the extension of the recruitment model with all factors and outcomes. Originality: This study provides a model of employee recruitment to win the battle of acquiring human capital using social media recruiting technology as a step toward sustainable development, which has been conceptually defined and empirically tested. The comprehensiveness of the model has never been discussed in earlier studies. Practical implications: Through this research, organizations will get an opportunity to experience enhancement in the scope of recruitment as a whole instead of considering recruitment as a traditional procedure, and the use of information technology can be expanded for progressive measures for future purposes and pandemic situations.

BACKGROUND: Immune thrombocytopenic purpura with multimodal incidence having peaks in each age groups is a chronic clinical syndrome in adults, with disease more predominant in females in adults. The aim of the study was to compare the efficacy (response rate) of high dose dexamethasone with conventional prednisolone in the treatment of newly diagnosed adult patients of Immune thrombocytopenic purpura. It was a prospective quasi-experimental study, conducted at the Department of Medicine of a tertiary care hospital from Jan to Dec 2019. METHODS: The sample population comprised of 130 cases of newly diagnosed ITP patients, having platelet count <30,000/ul with or without bleeding symptoms who received either dexamethasone (40 mg/day for 04 days) or prednisolone (0.5-1 mg/kg PSL for 01 week). Treatment response was measured at day 7. RESULTS: Out of 130 patients 65 patients were treated with dexamethasone and 65 patients with prednisolone .83.08% (n=54) cases in Group-A and 33.85% (n=22) in Group-B had response while remaining 16.92% (n=11) in Group-A and 66.15% (n=43) in Group-B had no response. The p value was calculated as 0.000 which shows a significant difference. CONCLUSIONS: We concluded that high dose of dexamethasone shows a significantly higher response when compared with conventional prednisolone in the treatment of newly diagnosed adult patients of Immune thrombocytopenia purpura.

Family motivation as a mediating mechanism is a novel and under-researched area in the field of positive organizational scholarship. Drawing on Social Exchange Theory (SET), this study empirically validates family motivation as a mediator between family support and work engagement. The process by Hayes (2013) was used to analyze time-lagged data collected from 356 employees of the education sector. Results confirm the mediating role of family motivation in the relationship between family support and work engagement and the moderating role of calling in the relationship between family support and family motivation. This study adds to the literature of family-work enrichment accounts by validating family support as a novel antecedent for family motivation and positive attitudes. The implications of the study are discussed.

The mechanism connecting the antecedents to positive attitudes like affective commitment (AC) and positive behaviors like organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) is an under-researched area in the field of positive organizational scholarship. Drawing on Social Exchange Theory (SET), this study empirically validates family motivation and civility as antecedents of affective commitment and organizational citizenship behavior through the mediating mechanism of self-efficacy. The process by Hayes (2013) was used to analyze time-lagged and multi-source data collected from 335 employees of educational and telecom sector. Results indicate that the relationship of affective commitment with family motivation and civility is partially mediated whereas the relationship of organizational citizenship behavior with family motivation and civility is fully mediated by self-efficacy. This study adds to the literature of family-work enrichment accounts by validating family motivation as a novel antecedent for positive behavioral outcomes. The implications of the study are discussed.
