ABSTRACT

Cellulose membranes have eco-friendly, renewable, and cost-effective features, but they lack satisfactory cycle stability as a sustainable separator for batteries. In this study, a two-step method was employed to prepare a sandwich-like composite membrane of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP)/cellulose/ PVDF-HFP (PCP). The method involved first dissolving and regenerating a cellulose membrane and then electrospinning PVDF-HFP on its surface. The resulting PCP composite membrane exhibits excellent properties such as high porosity (60.71%), good tensile strength (4.8 MPa), and thermal stability up to 160 °C. It also has exceptional electrolyte uptake properties (710.81 wt.%), low interfacial resistance (241.39 Ω), and high ionic conductivity (0.73 mS/cm) compared to commercial polypropylene (PP) separators (1121.4 Ω and 0.26 mS/cm). Additionally, the rate capability (163.2 mAh/g) and cycling performance (98.11% after 100 cycles at 0.5 C) of the PCP composite membrane are superior to those of PP separators. These results demonstrate that the PCP composite membrane has potential as a promising separator for high-powered, secure lithium-ion batteries.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the quality of evidence, potential biases, and validity of all available studies on dietary sugar consumption and health outcomes. DESIGN: Umbrella review of existing meta-analyses. DATA SOURCES: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and hand searching of reference lists. INCLUSION CRITERIA: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses of randomised controlled trials, cohort studies, case-control studies, or cross sectional studies that evaluated the effect of dietary sugar consumption on any health outcomes in humans free from acute or chronic diseases. RESULTS: The search identified 73 meta-analyses and 83 health outcomes from 8601 unique articles, including 74 unique outcomes in meta-analyses of observational studies and nine unique outcomes in meta-analyses of randomised controlled trials. Significant harmful associations between dietary sugar consumption and 18 endocrine/metabolic outcomes, 10 cardiovascular outcomes, seven cancer outcomes, and 10 other outcomes (neuropsychiatric, dental, hepatic, osteal, and allergic) were detected. Moderate quality evidence suggested that the highest versus lowest dietary sugar consumption was associated with increased body weight (sugar sweetened beverages) (class IV evidence) and ectopic fatty accumulation (added sugars) (class IV evidence). Low quality evidence indicated that each serving/week increment of sugar sweetened beverage consumption was associated with a 4% higher risk of gout (class III evidence) and each 250 mL/day increment of sugar sweetened beverage consumption was associated with a 17% and 4% higher risk of coronary heart disease (class II evidence) and all cause mortality (class III evidence), respectively. In addition, low quality evidence suggested that every 25 g/day increment of fructose consumption was associated with a 22% higher risk of pancreatic cancer (class III evidence). CONCLUSIONS: High dietary sugar consumption is generally more harmful than beneficial for health, especially in cardiometabolic disease. Reducing the consumption of free sugars or added sugars to below 25 g/day (approximately 6 teaspoons/day) and limiting the consumption of sugar sweetened beverages to less than one serving/week (approximately 200-355 mL/week) are recommended to reduce the adverse effect of sugars on health. ABSTRACT

Iron is an essential trace element, while excess iron can lead to different levels of physical abnormalities or diseases. This umbrella review aimed to conduct a systematic evaluation of the possible relationships between iron intake and various health outcomes. We retrieved PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews from inception through May 2021. A total of 34 meta-analyses with 46 unique health outcomes were identified. Heme iron intake was positively associated with nine outcomes, including colorectal cancer, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular disease mortality, while dietary total iron intake could decrease the risk of colorectal adenoma, esophageal cancer, coronary heart disease, and depression. Iron supplementation was a protective factor against eight outcomes. However, it was associated with decreased length and weight gain. The quality of evidence for most outcomes was "low" or "very low" with the remaining eleven as "high" or "moderate". All outcomes were categorized as class III, IV, or NS based on evidence classification. Although high iron intake has been identified to be significantly associated with a range of outcomes, firm universal conclusions about its beneficial or negative effects cannot be drawn given the low quality of evidence for most outcomes.

ABSTRACT

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is an important source of edible oil and protein for human nutrition. The quality of peanut seed oil is mainly determined by the composition of fatty acids, especially the contents of oleic acid and linoleic acid. Improving the composition of fatty acids in the seed oil is one of the main objectives for peanut breeding globally. To uncover the genetic basis of fatty acids and broaden the genetic variation in future peanut breeding programs, this study used genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify loci associated with target traits and developed diagnostic marker. The contents of eight fatty acid components of the Chinese peanut mini-core collection were measured under four environments. Using the phenotypic information and over one hundred thousand single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), GWAS were conducted to investigate the genetics basis of fatty acids under multi-environments. Overall, 75 SNPs were identified significant trait associations with fatty acid components. Nineteen associations were repeatedly identified in multiple environments, and 13 loci were co-associated with two or three traits. Three stable major associated loci were identified, including two loci for oleic acid and linoleic acid on chromosome A09 [mean phenotypic variation explained (PVE): 38.5%, 10.35%] and one for stearic acid on B06 (mean PVE: 23%). According to functional annotations, 21 putative candidate genes related to fatty acid biosynthesis were found underlying the three associations. The allelic effect of SNP A09-114690064 showed that the base variation was highly correlated with the phenotypic variation of oleic acid and linoleic acid contents, and a cost-effective Kompetitive allele-Specific PCR (KASP) diagnostic marker was developed. Furthermore, the SNP A09-114690064 was found to change the cis-element CAAT (-) in the promoter of ahFAD2A to YACT (+), leading dozens of times higher expression level. The enhancer-like activity of ahFAD2A promoter was identified that was valuable for enriching the regulation mechanism of ahFAD2A. This study improved our understanding on the genetic architecture of fatty acid components in peanut, and the new effective diagnostic marker would be useful for marker-assisted selection of high-oleic peanut breeding.

ABSTRACT

Objectives: To report the first series of testicular sex cord-stromal tumors (TSCSTs) with detailed clinicopathologic findings and long-term follow-up in the Chinese population. Patients and Methods: From 2008 to 2018, 15 patients with TSCST were included in our study. The tumors were analyzed for epidemiological parameters, clinical characteristics, tumor markers, therapy, and follow-up data. Results: The median age of the patients was 28 years (range, 13-80 years). Para-aortic lymph node metastases were detected in 2 patients after radiological evaluation. Orchiectomy was performed in all patients, and the median diameter of the tumor was 1.5 cm (range, 0.5-5.0 cm). Nine Leydig cell tumors (LCTs), 5 Sertoli cell tumors (SCTs), and 1 unclassified type were confirmed after pathologic evaluation. Thirteen patients (86.7%) were categorized as stage I, and 2 patients (13.3%) were categorized as stage II. The median clinical follow-up was 39.0 months (range, 5-97 months), which showed 10 alive patients, such as 1 patient with progression at 40 months after orchiectomy. The 3- and 5-year progression-free survivals were 100 and 90.0%, respectively. Conclusion: Testicular sex cord-stromal tumor at stages I and II is a rare subtype with benign behavior and a favorable prognosis in the Chinese population. However, lymph node metastases may be the dominant risk factor for patients with TSCST.

ABSTRACT

In order to enhance the role of Al in the materials, Al-substituted MnAlO catalysts were synthesized via the hydrothermal-redox method at different calcination temperatures for acetone oxidation. There were Al-substituted α-MnO2 and amorphous aluminum oxide existed with homogeneous dispersion of elements in the catalysts. The surface property, reaction rate, CO2 yield and water resistance of MnAlO catalysts were greatly affected by calcination temperatures. MnAlO-450 catalyst exhibited the best catalytic performance (acetone conversion of 90% at 165 °C) with CO2 yield higher than 99.7%, which was mainly related to the weaker Mn-O bond strength, lower temperature reducibility and abundant Lewis acid sites. The acetone conversion of MnAlO-450 increased by as much as 16% in the presence of 1 vol% H2O compared to that in the absence of H2O at T50 (the temperature for 50% conversion of acetone). The acceleration consumption of ethanol as the main by-product by H2O improved the catalytic performance. This work would shed light on the Al substitution based catalysts for OVOC oxidation with highly efficient and water resistance.

ABSTRACT

Androgen plays a significant role in the development and progression of prostate cancer (PCa), one of the commonest malignancies in the male urogenital system. Castration-resistant PCa (CRPC) is the end-result of the majority of prostate cancer cases treated by androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Furthermore, the androgen axis is reactivated due to adaptive intratumoral androgen biosynthesis, which can be driven by adrenal androgens and /or by changes in the androgen receptor (AR) including AR gene amplification. At present, drugs targeting the androgen axis, such as abiraterone and enzalutamide, et al, are used for the first-line therapy for CRPC. Nevertheless, drug resistance and disease progression occur during the treatment of CRPC by anti-androgen therapy. Therefore, an insight into the mechanisms of drug resistance in anti-androgen therapy for CRPC may help surmount the drug reistance and improve the prognosis of the malignancy.

BACKGROUND: Nowadays, most studies of tuberculous epididymo-orchitis (TBEO) are case reports or small sample cohort series. Our study is aimed to present the largest series of TBEO with our management experiences and long-term follow-up outcomes. METHODS: Patients diagnosed with TBEO after surgical procedures at Department of Urology, West China Hospital from 2008 to 2019 were included. All clinical features, auxiliary examination results, treatment and histopathological findings were extracted if available. RESULTS: Eighty-one patients (mean age 50.77 ± 16.1 years) were included. Scrotal swelling (N = 47, 58.0%) and pain (N = 29, 35.8%) were the most common presenting complaint. Pyuria and microscopic hematuria were observed in twenty-two (27.2%) and eight patients (9.9%), respectively. Urine acid fast bacilli cultures were available in 16 patients and all were negative. The mean duration between the onset of symptoms and the definite diagnosis was 6.42 ± 7.0 months. TBEO was considered in 30 (37.0%), tumors in 28 (34.6%) and nonspecific bacterial epididymo-orchitis in 23 (28.4%) patients. All patients received triple therapy of chemotherapy-surgery-pharmacotherapy and definite diagnosis was confirmed through histopathology of surgical specimens. Fifty-five patients were followed up regularly (mean follow-up 82.35 ± 36.6 months). One patient (1.2%) died from liver cirrhosis and no recurrence was observed. Postoperative complications included erectile dysfunction in 4 patients (4.9%), premature ejaculation in 5 patients (6.2%) and sterility in 7 patients (8.6%). CONCLUSIONS: We recommend patients with advanced TBEO to receive triple therapy of chemotherapy-surgery-pharmacotherapy. Physicians should pay more attention to patients' sexual function and fertility during follow up after treatment completed.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: We aimed to report the latest and largest pooled analysis and evidence update to compare the perioperative, renal functional, and oncological outcomes between off-clamp and on-clamp robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) for renal tumors. PATIENTS AND METHODS: We performed a systematic literature search using PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science up to August 2021 for studies that compared the efficacy and/or safety between off-clamp and on-clamp RAPN for renal tumors. Outcomes measured were operating time, estimated blood loss (EBL), conversion rate, length of stay (LOS), complication rate, transfusion rate, long-term % decrease in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), positive surgical margin rate, and recurrence rate. RESULTS: A total of 21 eligible articles involving 4,493 patients (1,274 off-clamp versus 3,219 on-clamp) were included for the evidence synthesis. Baseline characteristics of the two groups were similar in all outcomes except that lower R.E.N.A.L. score and smaller tumor size were observed in the off-clamp group. Pooled analysis showed shorter operative time, higher EBL, and lower complication rate in the off-clamp group. No significant difference was observed in the conversion rate, LOS, and transfusion rate. The recurrence rates were similar in the two groups, while a lower positive surgical margin rate was observed in the off-clamp group. Finally, the off-clamp group had a superior postoperative renal functional outcome. CONCLUSIONS: Given the presence of heterogeneity and potential bias, urologists should select the clamp strategy based on their experience and patient-specific factors.

A tumor microenvironment (TME) is composed of various cell types and extracellular components. It contains tumor cells and is nourished by a network of blood vessels. The TME not only plays a significant role in the occurrence, development, and metastasis of tumors but also has a far-reaching impact on the effect of therapeutics. Continuous interaction between tumor cells and the environment, which is mediated by their environment, may lead to drug resistance. In this review, we focus on the key cellular components of the TME and the potential strategies to improve the effectiveness of drug therapy by changing their related factors.

Agricultural mulch film pollution has become a prevailing concern. Studies have shown that the thickness of mulch film is a key factor affecting mulch film recycling, but research about farmers' choice on mulch film thickness is lacking. Based on survey data from 2025 households in five Chinese provinces in 2018, the Heckman two-stage model was used to analyze the influencing factors of farmers' choice on mulch film thicknesses. Mulch film had been used by 21.98% of the sample households, and 41.47% of the used mulch film did not meet the national thickness standard. The econometric results showed that farmers' product cognition and market factors were the two most important factors, and there was a significant negative correlation with the choice of film thickness. In addition, the choice of mulch film with different thicknesses was affected by household characteristics, subjective norms, and farmland property rights. Strengthening and stabilizing farmland property rights is a long-term mechanism to promote farmers to choose thicker mulch film. In addition to strengthening the production and sale of substandard film supervision, farmers' choice of film thickness should be included in village regulations and other rural grass-roots governance systems, especially in the mechanism design between agricultural farmland protective subsidies and the prevention of mulch film pollution, rather than just considering the recycling itself.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this umbrella review was to evaluate the quality of evidence, validity and biases of the associations between red and processed meat consumption and multiple cancer outcomes according to existing systematic reviews and meta-analyses. The umbrella review identified 72 meta-analyses with 20 unique outcomes for red meat and 19 unique outcomes for processed meat. Red meat consumption was associated with increased risk of overall cancer mortality, non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), bladder, breast, colorectal, endometrial, esophageal, gastric, lung and nasopharyngeal cancer. Processed meat consumption might increase the risk of overall cancer mortality, NHL, bladder, breast, colorectal, esophageal, gastric, nasopharyngeal, oral cavity and oropharynx and prostate cancer. Dose-response analyses revealed that 100 g/d increment of red meat and 50 g/d increment of processed meat consumption were associated with 11%-51% and 8%-72% higher risk of multiple cancer outcomes, respectively, and seemed to be not correlated with any benefit.

ABSTRACT

The enhanced toughness of flame-retardant polymer composites is still a big challenge due to the deterioration of their mechanical properties. In this work, polypropylene (PP)/nanohybrid expandable graphite (nEG) flame-retardant composites toughened by octene-ethylene copolymer (POE) were fabricated for obtaining good mechanical properties and flame retardancy. The structure, rheological and crystallization behaviors, morphology, flame retardancy, and mechanical property of PP/nEG/POE composites with different contents of POE were investigated. Results show that the elongation at break and impact strength of PP composites were significantly improved due to the incorporation of POE. The elongation at break and notched impact strength of toughened PP composites with only 20% POE were increased to 521.6% and 22.9 kJ m-2 from 16.1% and 9.3 kJ m-2 for untoughened PP composites, respectively. The scanning electron micrography (SEM) images showed that POE droplets were dispersed finely and uniformly in the PP matrix, exhibiting a typical two-phase structure. Additionally, the interfacial adhesion between the matrix and inorganic particles was enhanced due to the addition of POE. The rheological behaviors of PP composites showed improved elasticity and longer relaxation times, and a stress-yield behavior appeared with the addition of POE. The interfacial interaction in PP composites was enhanced and the formation of an interparticle network was further proved. Additionally, the toughened PP/nEG20 composites with different contents of POE exhibited excellent flame retardancy. Therefore, the toughened flame-retardant PP composites should possess a wider range of application potential.

An Ru-doped spinel-structured LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) cathode has been prepared via a simple hydrothermal synthesis method. The as-prepared cathode is characterized via Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), laser particle size distribution analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemistry performance tests. The FTIR spectroscopy and XRD analyses show that the Ru-doped LNMO has a good crystallinity with a disordered Fd3̄m space group structure. The disordered structure in the cathode increased and the Li x Ni1-x O impurity phase decreased when Ru addition increased. SEM shows that all samples are octahedral particles with homogeneous sizes distribution, and the particle size analysis shows that the Ru-doped samples have smaller particle size. XPS confirms the existence of Ru ions in the sample, and reveals that the Ru induce to part of Mn4+ transfers to Mn3+ in the LNMO. The electrochemical property indicated that the Ru-doped cathode exhibits better electrochemical properties in terms of discharge capacity, cycle stability and rate performance. At a current density of 50 mA g-1, the discharge specific capacity of the Ru-4 sample is 140 mA h g-1, which is much higher than that of the other samples. It can be seen from the rate capacity curves that the Ru-doped samples exhibit high discharge specific capacity, particularly at high current density.

BACKGROUND: To retrospectively investigate the clinical characteristics, initial treatment, relapse, therapy outcome, and prognosis of Chinese patients with primary testicular lymphoma (PTL) through analysis of the cases of our institute. METHODS: From December 2008 to July 2018, all patients with PTL were included in this study. Kaplan-Meier method was used to estimate PFS and OS. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to compare the survival times for groups of patients differing in terms of clinical and laboratory parameters. RESULTS: All 28 PTL patients (24 DLBCL, three NK/T lymphomas, and one Burkkit's lymphoma) with a median age of 65.5 years were included in this study. Six patients were observed recurrence among all the 22 individuals evaluated. Following orchiectomy and systemic chemotherapy, with or without intrathecal prophylaxis, complete response was achieved in 15 (68%) patients. For DLBCL patients, the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 44.63 months (95% CI 17.71-71.56 months), and the median overall survival (OS) was 77.02 months (95% CI, 57.35-96.69 months). For all the DLBCL patients, the 5-year PFS and 5-year OS were 35.4% (95%CI, 14.8-56.0%) and 53.4% (95%CI, 30.1-76.7%). Without further chemotherapy following orchiectomy (HR = 3.4, P = 0.03) were associated with inferior PFS of DLBCL patients. Advanced Ann Arbor stage (HR =5.9, P = 0.009) and high (international prognostic index, IPI) score: 3-5 (HR =3.9, P = 0.04) were correlated with shorter OS of DLBCL patients. CONCLUSION: This study confirms that PTL is an aggressive malignant with a poor prognosis. Limited Ann Arbor stage, further chemotherapy following orchiectomy, and low IPI score (less than 2) are correlated with superior survival for DLBCL patients.

ABSTRACT

Soybean oil is beneficial to improve the compatibility between polylactide (PLA) and succinylated lignin (SAL), which leads to the preparation of a host of biobased composites containing PLA, SAL, and epoxidized soybean oil (ESO). The introduction of SAL and ESO enables the relatively homogeneous morphology and slightly better miscibility obtained from triply PLA/SAL/ESO composites after dynamic vulcanization compared with unmodified PLA. The rigidity of the composites is found to decline gradually due to the addition of flexible molecular chains. According to the reaction between SAL and ESO, the Tg of PLA/SAL/ESO composites is susceptible to the movement of flexible molecular chains. The rheological behaviors of PLA/SAL/ESO under different conditions, i.e., temperature and frequency, exhibit a competition between viscidity and elasticity. The thermal stability of the composites displays a slight decrease due to the degradation of SAL and then the deterioration of ESO. The elongation at break and notched impact strength of the composites with augmentation of ESO increase by 12% and 0.5 kJ/m2, respectively. The triply biobased PLA/SAL/ESO composite is thus deemed as a bio-renewable and environmentally friendly product that may find vast applications.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Measured resection and gap balancing are two distinct methods for proper femoral component alignment in total knee arthroplasty. Decision-making between the two techniques is controversial. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to compare measured resection and gap balancing with regard to the radiological and clinical benefits, and to examine whether this change the conclusions from previous trails. METHODS: A systematic literature search of the medical literature from January 1990 to February 2015 was performed. We selected six randomized controlled trials and five prospective cohort studies comparing gap balancing and measured resection in patients undergoing primary total knee arthroplasty. Data from included studies were pooled with use of fixed-effects and random-effects models with standard mean differences and risk ratios for continuous and dichotomous variables, respectively. Heterogeneity across studies was assessed with calculation of the I2 statistic. RESULTS: A total of 857 knees from 11 trials were included. Four hundred and forty-one knees were treated with gap balancing and 416 were treated with measured resection. In contrast to previous studies, we found that gap balancing demonstrated better patient-reported outcomes with regard to Knee Society score for pain (WMD 2.75, p = 0.004) and Knee Society score for function (WMD 5.47, p < 0.0001) at two-year follow-up. Gap balancing showed more precise limb alignment in terms of post-operative value of mechanical axis (WMD 0.40°, p = 0.01) and risk of mechanical alignment outliers (RR 0.350, p < 0.0001). However, gap balancing was associated with more joint line elevation (WMD 1.27 mm, p < 0.0001) and longer operative time (WMD 16.18 min, p < 0.0001). No significant difference was observed in rotation of the femoral component (p = 0.07). CONCLUSIONS: The meta-analysis demonstrated that gap balancing was able to achieve more precise coronal alignment with better short-term patient-reported outcomes compared with measured resection. Measured resection was more desirable than gap balancing with regard to restoration of the joint line and operative time. Comparable femoral rotational alignment was observed.

In this work, the poly(d-lactic acid)-polyethylene glycol-poly(d-lactic acid) (PDLA-PEG-PDLA) triblock copolymer as a novel modification agent was incorporated into poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA) to improve the thermal and mechanical properties of PLLA. The influences of molecular weight of PEG in the triblock copolymer on the structure, crystallization behaviors, heat resistance and tensile properties of PDLA-PEG-PDLA/PLLA blends were investigated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarized optical microscopy (POM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and tensile testing. The results from FTIR, XRD and DSC confirm the formation of a polylactide stereocomplex in the PLLA blends. The structure and properties of the stereocomplex crystals are different from those of pure PLLA. The melting temperature (T m) of the stereocrystal is near 200 °C, which is significantly higher than that of the homogeneous crystal of PLLA. The effect of molecular weight of PEG on the crystal morphology of PLLA blends is also obvious. The improvement of tensile properties for PLLA blends is attributed to the crystal morphological features, which will potentially enhance the utility of the PLLA based polymer.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To assess the clinical characteristics of testicular seminoma (TS). PATIENTS AND METHODS: A testicular cancer (TC) survey was conducted by the Department of Urology, West China Hospital, between 2008 and 2018. Tumors were classified according to the NCCN criteria such as age, tumor size, tumor marker levels, histopathology, clinical stage, initial treatment, follow-up, and clinical outcomes, were obtained from the database of our center. RESULTS: Among 155 registered cases of TC with seminomatous element, 127 cases of pure TS were analyzed. All 127 patients with a median age of 37 years were pathologically diagnosed with orchiectomy specimens. Orchiectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy were the main treatments for these patients. Patients with clinical stages I, II, and III testicular cancer of accounted for 81.1% (n=103), 15.7% (n=20), and 3.2% (n=4) of all patients, respectively. After a median follow-up time of 50 months, five patients presented with relapse during follow-up, and one among them died. Of the patients with stage I TS (T1N0M0S0 CS IA), three patients who only underwent orchiectomy relapsed. Among patients with stage II TS (T1N1M0S1 CS IIA), one patient relapsed after orchiectomy, post-surgery chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In four patients with stage III disease (T2N1M1aS1 CS IIIA), one relapsed after orchiectomy and chemotherapy, and died shortly after salvage chemotherapy and radiotherapy due to recurrence. The median overall survival time was 50 months. In all patients, the 2-year overall survival and progression-free survival probabilitis were 98.6% and 98.8%, respectively. CONCLUSION: The present study shows that patients with TS have good prognosis even at an advanced stage. Surveillance after orchiectomy was important for patients with CSI seminoma, and we recommend cisplatin-based chemotherapy as salvage therapy for patients with CSI seminoma. In addition, patients with a maximal tumor diameter >4 cm should undergo post-surgery chemotherapy.
