ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:  Online learning has been used to improve students' learning experiences and to allow students to engage with their own learning in various spaces. However, there is a dearth of literature on students' experiences with online learning in the field of audiology. OBJECTIVES:  This study aimed to describe the conditions of online learning, explore the challenges and benefits of online learning and determine strategies that students employ while engaging with online learning. METHOD:  An exploratory qualitative research design was employed. Audiology students from the second to the fourth year participated in the study. Qualitative data were collected online via MS Teams using a semi-structured interview schedule with the participants. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the participants' interviews. RESULTS:  Most of our participants were females in their fourth year of study. The students accessed the online learning platforms procured by the university from their homes, with reported benefits such as the flexibility and independence of learning, and time and cost-effectiveness. However, challenges such as limited internet connectivity, issues with time management and inconsistent power supply restricted positive experiences with online learning. CONCLUSION:  The online learning benefits that were reported by the students and the compensatory strategies they employed facilitated self-regulated learning. The study's findings highlighted the need for continuous checking-in with students regarding their experiences with the learning approaches intended to improve engagement with their courses. These results could be used as a guide for curriculum planning that is student-focused.Contribution: Students' experiences explored in our study provided a guide for online learning approaches that were suitable for audiology students. Student-centred and self-regulated learning practices were highlighted and future studies may further explore these frameworks and theories.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Graduate nursing education plays an important role in the development of an innovative nation. Such education benefits the health of the community by cultivating competent and highly skilled nurses who can provide safe and quality nursing care. The number of students pursuing nursing degrees in China is insufficient, to meet the social demand for advanced practice nurses. The part-time Master of Nursing Specialist program for students offers flexible learning options for working nurses. However, the relatively low level of learning engagement exhibited by this group has raised concerns among policy-makers and nursing educators. An in-depth study of the factors affecting the learning engagement of part-time Master of Nursing Specialist postgraduates, especially with regard to their combined effect, is expected to provide a basis for improving the level of learning engagement among such students. METHODS: This study used ability-motivation-opportunity-theory and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to analyze the relationships between five conditions (i.e., supportive campus environment, supportive work environment, student-faculty interaction, research motivation and time management ability) and learning engagement by reference to data collected from a sample of 225 part-time Master of Nursing Specialist students who were enrolled in China. RESULTS: The fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis results indicated that individual examples of these antecedent conditions were insufficient to influence learning engagement. In contrast, three combinations of the five conditions led to high levels of learning engagement, and substitutability and complementarity were observed among the various elements in the configuration. CONCLUSIONS: Research motivation, student-faculty interaction, a supportive work environment and time management are factors that can influence part-time postgraduates' learning engagement. Supervisors can enhance their research skills and expertise, hospitals can establish supportive environments for students, and students can strengthen their research motivation and time management abilities.

ABSTRACT

The impact of free time management and leisure satisfaction on quality of life is distinct, however, the role of satisfaction in enhancing quality of life through free time management remains uncertain. Hence, the objective of this research is to explore how leisure satisfaction acts as a mediator between free time management and the levels of quality of life among university students. Additionally, this study aims to analyse these concepts in relation to gender, age and the number of days of activity participation. Within this particular framework, a total of 213 university students willingly participated in the survey, which included the administration of the "Free Time Management Scale," "Leisure Satisfaction Scale," and "Quality of Life Scale." The analyses employed the Independent T-Test, Pearson Correlation, and Linear Regression methods. The mediating effect was analysed using Structural Equation Modelling. The study found significant relationships between gender, free time management, and life quality. There was a significant relationship between free time management, leisure satisfaction, and quality of life (p < 0.05). Leisure satisfaction partially mediated the quality of life-free time management relationship. As age and physical activity grow, males have a higher standard of living, and time allocation and quality of life improve. Furthermore, it was found that students who effectively managed their time experienced an enhanced quality of life, as evidenced by their increased satisfaction with leisure activities. Notably, the level of satisfaction with well-managed time was identified as a crucial factor in this association.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the present status of self-management behavior and glycemic control in individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2D), as well as to examine the impact of health quotient (HQ) and time management skills on both self-management behavior and glycemic control. Methods: Between October 2022 and March 2023, a purposive sampling method had been utilized to select 215 participants with type T2D. The survey concluded a general information questionnaire, an HQ scale, a diabetes time management questionnaire and a self-management behavior questionnaire. The health quotient(HQ)encompasses the individuals' knowledge, attitude toward health, and the ability to maintain their own well-being. The diabetes time management questionnaire was reverse-scored, with higher scores indicating an enhanced competence in time management. The path among variables was analyzed using structural equation modeling(SEM). Results: SEM showed that the direct effect of HQ on time management was -0.566 (p < 0.05), the direct effect of time management on the effect of self-management was -0.617 (p < 0.05), the direct effect of HQ on self-management was 0.156, and the indirect effect was 0.349 (p < 0.05); the relationship between health quotient and self-management was partially mediated by time management, with a mediating effect size of 68.8%. In addition, self-management had a direct effect on HbAlc, with a size of -0.394 (p < 0.05); The impacts of both HQ and time management on HbAlc were found to be mediated by self-management, with HQ demonstrating an indirect effect of -0.199 (p < 0.05) and time management showing an indirect effect of 0.244 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Health quotient and time management in patients with T2D serve as catalysts for self-management behavior. They affect HbAlc level indirectly through self-management practices. The suggestion is to prioritize the cultivation of rational time organization and management skills in T2D patients, as well as enhance their health quotient level. This can facilitate a more effective improvement in patients' self-management behaviors, ultimately achieving the objective of maintaining optimal glycemic control.

BACKGROUND: Digital assistive technology (DAT) may support time management in people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment (MCI), but research on DAT for time management is limited. We aimed to explore how everyday could be supported by DAT for time management in persons with dementia or MCI from informal carers' perspectives. This study focused on a DAT device for time management called MEMOplanner (MMP). METHOD: Using a mixed-methods design, we utilized the Time-Proxy© questionnaire and a study-specific interview guide to investigate the perspectives of informal carers (n = 8) regarding the use of MMP by individuals with dementia or MCI. RESULT: The MMP was helpful in keeping track of time and activity. It helped to maintain an active lifestyle and facilitated communication. However, the MMP did not reduce the need for assistance from the informal carers, and it took time to learn the different functions of the device. Further research into employing a more extensive array of DAT for time management or other areas to assist individuals with dementia will yield valuable insights into enhancing and sustaining a higher quality of life despite cognitive decline.

ABSTRACT

In addition to the proper selection of techniques, appropriate treatment sequencing and prioritization are prerequisites for successful periodontal and implant procedures. The aim of this study was to provide evidence-based time frames for various procedures pertaining to periodontal and implant treatment. A literature review was conducted to collect data on tissue healing; in areas in which data were lacking, the viewpoints of experienced clinicians were solicited to establish a consensus. This review reports recommended time frames for the healing processes associated with surgical crown-lengthening procedures (both functional and esthetic), fresh socket management, alveolar ridge management, soft tissue management, sinus floor augmentation, implant loading, and peri-implant defect management.

ABSTRACT

Ischemic priapism is a relatively uncommon genitourinary condition that, if left untreated, can lead to permanent erectile dysfunction. Detumescence should ideally be attained within the first 36 h of onset to avoid irreversible fibrosis and necessary surgery. Opportunities to practice medical management of this condition are scarce, and the risk of iatrogenic injury of vessels, nerves, and urethra can be significant if performed blind. Visualizing these structures through ultrasonography can reduce the risk of injury and aid in the confirmation of drug delivery. This novel utilization of ultrasound guidance in active treatment can help improve physician confidence and success in managing this rare and urgent condition. To our knowledge, this is the first report of point-of-care ultrasound-guided penile nerve block used to manage pain associated with priapism. We present a 44-year-old male presenting with a painful erection lasting for eight hours. Penile doppler ultrasound was performed concurrent with medical management of priapism, with successful detumescence and discharge.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Poor employee mental health and wellbeing are highly prevalent and costly. Time-related factors such as work intensification and perceptions of time poverty or pressure pose risks to employee health and wellbeing. While reviews suggest that there are positive associations between time management behavior and wellbeing, there is limited rigorous and systematic research examining the effectiveness of time management interventions on wellbeing in the workplace. A thorough review is needed to synthesize time management interventions and their effectiveness to promote employee mental health and wellbeing. METHOD: A systematic search will be conducted using the following databases: PsychINFO via OVID (1806-Present), Web of Science, Scopus via Elsevier (1976-Present), Academic Search Complete (EBSCO), Cochrane Library via Wiley (1992-Present), and MEDLINE via OVID (1946-Present). The review will include experimental and quasi-experimental studies that evaluate the effects of time management interventions on wellbeing outcomes on healthy adults in a workplace context. Only studies in English will be included. Two authors will independently perform the literature search, record screening, data extraction, and quality assessment of each study included in the systematic review and meta-analysis. Data will be critically appraised using the Cochrane risk-of-bias tools. Depending on the data, a meta-analysis or a narrative synthesis will be conducted. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were followed in the development of this protocol. The protocol has been registered in PROSPERO (CRD4202125715). DISCUSSION: This review will provide systematic evidence on the effects of time management interventions on wellbeing outcomes in the workplace. It will contribute to our understanding of how time management approaches may help to address growing concerns for employee mental health and wellbeing.

Purpose: The regularity of epidemic prevention and control measures in China has meant that nursing students have been exposed to more electronic devices, while problematic smartphone use has increased. The purpose of this study is to determine the prospective associations among time management tendency, negative emotions, and problematic smartphone use in nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A longitudinal study was conducted between November 2021 and May 2022. A total of 989 nursing students participated. The convenience sampling method was adopted and the following tools were used: the Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale, the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales - 21, and the Mobile Phone Addiction Index. Multiple parallel mediation models were used by Mplus. Results: Time management tendency had a significantly negative effect on problematic smartphone use (p < 0.05). Further tests using mediation models showed that stress as a negative emotion mediated the relationship between time management tendency and problematic smartphone use (p < 0.05) over time. Conclusion: Nursing educators need to strengthen the stress resistance and time management ability of nursing students.

AIM: As older adults have longer leisure time and the types and influences of leisure activities they participate in are diverse, appropriate management of their leisure time would be important to optimize their subjective well-being. Although greater use of time management in educational and occupational settings is associated with better job performance, academic achievement, and the well-being of workers and students, few studies have investigated time management in leisure settings. This study aimed to examine the longitudinal association between leisure-time management and subjective well-being among older adults. METHODS: Data on 879 individuals in Nada Ward, Kobe, Japan were obtained from a three-wave questionnaire-based longitudinal survey (Wave 1: December 2017 to January 2018; Wave 2: after one year; Wave 3: after three years). In each survey, leisure-time management (newly developed in this study) and subjective well-being (simplified Japanese version of the World Health Organization Five Well-Being Index) were measured. This study used a cross-lagged model to analyze the longitudinal association between leisure-time management and subjective well-being after considering their inverse association. RESULTS: The cross-lagged model indicated that that the standardized path coefficients from leisure-time management in Wave 1 to subjective well-being in Wave 2 (0.13, p<0.001) and from leisure-time management in Wave 2 to subjective well-being in Wave 3 (0.06, p=0.042) were positive and significant. CONCLUSIONS: This study found that leisure-time management is a determinant of subjective well-being among older adults. This finding indicates that the management of leisure time elevates one's subjective well-being among them.

Addictive behaviors related to Internet are becoming more common and this tool has been essential once it enables home office, entertainment, homeschooling, and easy access to information. Despite the easiness brought by technology, the exaggerated use has affected users in different ways, including in the development of psychiatric disorders. This study aimed to assess internet addiction, depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attention, impulsivity, and stress in 48 adolescents (26 young women and 22 young men), aged from 15 to 18 years, with a mean age of 16.74 (0.61), mostly students of public schools, during COVID-19, to investigate correlations between these variables according to sex and sociodemographic aspects. To assess the factors, the Internet Addiction Test (IAT); the Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Rating Scale (SNAP-IV) Questionnaire ; the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress scale for brazilian adolescents (EDAE-A); the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11); and a sociodemographic questionnaire were applied. The data collection was performed in schools located in southern Brazil. The results indicated that 12 out of 48 adolescents were considered addicted to the Internet. Moreover, Internet addiction was a predictor of depression in regression analysis (p<0.001). In addition, participants classified as more addicted to the Internet scored lower averages in general attention (p<0.035) and higher averages in behavioral symptoms of inattention and ADHD (p<0.050), stress (p<0.003), anxiety (p<0.016), and depression (p<0.015), with effect sizes ranging from moderate to high. Therefore, the intense internet use by adolescents might cause psychological consequences such as depression in adolescents. Family support and professional intervention might help in the reduction of symptoms and consequences of internet addiction as well as in its prevention.(AU)


A dependência de internet é cada vez mais comum, pois essa ferramenta tem se tornado imprescindível, uma vez que possibilita home office, entretenimento, educação domiciliar e fácil acesso às informações. No entanto, o uso exagerado da tecnologia afeta os usuários de diversas formas, inclusive no desenvolvimento de transtornos psiquiátricos. Este estudo visou avaliar a dependência de internet, depressão, ansiedade, hiperatividade, atenção, impulsividade e estresse em 48 adolescentes (26 meninas e 22 meninos) de 15 a 18 anos, com idade média de 16,74 (0,61), estudantes de escolas públicas do Sul do Brasil durante a covid-19, para investigar correlações entre as variáveis anteriores de acordo com gênero e aspectos sociodemográficos. Para avaliar, aplicou-se o Internet Addiction Test (IAT), um teste de atenção, escala SNAP IV, escala de depressão, ansiedade e estresse para adolescentes (EDAE-A), escala de impulsividade de Barratt e um questionário sociodemográfico. Os resultados indicaram que 12 adolescentes foram considerados viciados em internet, e que a dependência desta foi preditora da depressão na análise de regressão (p < 0,001). Ainda, os participantes classificados como adictos tiveram médias mais baixas em atenção geral (p < 0,035) e mais altas em sintomas comportamentais de desatenção e hiperatividade (p < 0,050), estresse (p < 0,003), ansiedade (p < 0,016) e depressão (p < 0,015), com efeitos que variaram de moderado a alto. Portanto, o uso intenso da internet por adolescentes pode ter consequências psicológicas, como a depressão. Bom apoio familiar e intervenção profissional podem ajudar na redução dos sintomas e consequências, bem como na prevenção da dependência.(AU)


La adicción a Internet es cada vez más habitual, puesto que esta herramienta es esencial para el trabajo remoto, el entretenimiento, la educación domiciliar y el fácil acceso a la información. Sin embargo, su uso exagerado afecta a la vida de las personas de diferentes maneras, incluso en el desarrollo de trastornos psiquiátricos. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la adicción a Internet, depresión, ansiedad, hiperactividad, atención, impulsividad y estrés en 48 adolescentes (26 muchachas y 22 muchachos), de entre 15 y 18 años, con una edad promedio de 16,74 (0,61), en su mayoría estudiantes de escuelas públicas del Sur de Brasil, durante la pandemia de la COVID-19, para investigar las correlaciones entre las variables mencionadas según género y aspectos sociodemográficos. Para evaluar los factores, se aplicaron el Test de Adicción a Internet (TAI), un test de atención, la escala SNAP IV, la Escala de Depresión, Ansiedad y Estrés para adolescentes (EDAE-A), la escala de impulsividad de Barratt y un cuestionario sociodemográfico. Los resultados indicaron que 12 adolescentes fueron considerados adictos a Internet, además, la adicción a Internet fue un predictor de la depresión en el análisis de regresión (p<0,001). Igualmente, los participantes clasificados como más adictos a Internet tuvieron promedios más bajos en atención general (p<0,035), y más altos en síntomas conductuales de falta de atención e hiperactividad (p<0,050), estrés (p<0,003), ansiedad (p<0,016) y depresión (p<0,015), con efectos que varían de moderado a alto. Por lo tanto, el uso intenso podría producir consecuencias psicológicas como la depresión en los adolescentes. Tener un buen apoyo familiar e intervención profesional puede ayudar a reducir los síntomas y las consecuencias de la adicción a Internet, así como prevenirla.(AU)

BACKGROUND: With the widespread adoption of smartphones, there has been a notable increase in problematic mobile phone use (PMPU), particularly prevalent among college students. Research suggests that apart from being associated with various problematic behaviors, this excessive mobile phone use might also have an impact on individual personality traits, such as time management disposition (TMD), which plays a significant role in individual motivation and psychological well-being. While previous literature has identified a negative relationship between PMPU and TMD, few studies have delved into the underlying mediating mechanism. Thus, the main aim of this study was to examine the chain mediating effect of sleep quality and cognitive flexibility on the relationship between PMPU and TMD. METHODS: A total of 921 Chinese college students completed the questionnaire. We collected basic information about the participants and assessed their PMPU, TMD, sleep quality, and cognitive flexibility using the Problematic Mobile Phone Use Scale-10, Adolescence Time Management Disposition Inventory, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale and Cognitive Flexibility Inventory. RESULTS: The results indicated a significant correlation among all the variables. Moreover, we noted that both sleep quality and cognitive flexibility fully mediated the association between PMPU and TMD. Additionally, a chain mediating effect involving sleep quality and flexibility in this relationship was also identified. CONCLUSION: We found that sleep quality and cognitive flexibility had a series of multiple mediating effects in the pathway from PMPU to TMD, and both significantly mediated TMD. These findings indicated that impaired cognitive function and sleep quality may contribute to time management difficulties resulting from PMPU, suggesting that problematic behaviors like PMPU can impact one's personality traits. Therefore, interventions should be enhanced to mitigate the adverse effects of PMPU.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: The efficiency of the management of an outpatient clinic largely depends on the administration of patient flows and waiting times increase costs and affect clinical quality. In this study, we verify if the visit acceptance times are influenced by demographic or geographical factors in a large cohort of patients referred to a city and suburban private outpatient multidisciplinary clinic. METHODS: We included all scheduled visits of patients aged from 18 to 75 years who arrived in 2021, 2022 and 2023 in our private outpatient clinics, consisting of 34 medical clinics scattered in Milan metropolitan city and hinterland. The variables collected were age, visit time, check-in time, address of the medical clinic and its distance from the closest underground station, patient typology (new business vs. follow-up patient), and the medical branch of the visit. Outcome is'punctuality', defined as check-in time minus visit time (in minutes). RESULTS: We considered a sample of 410.808 visits from January 2021 to April 2023. The majority of patients check-in early (84.4%) and we found that the percentage of punctual patients increases linearly with age. Earlier hours in the morning show the worst punctuality pattern as well as Blood Draws in the analysis of different medical branches. We also observed that patients who already had some activity recorded in our systems show the worst pattern of punctuality. No particular differences emerged considering the geographical location of the clinics. CONCLUSIONS: Younger patients have worse punctuality than older patients. Moreover, earlier hour slots are the most disadvantaged and the medical specialty has an influence on the arrival habits. This data should be considered for better clinical quality and efficiency.

ABSTRACT

Addressing mental health concerns within the time constraints of a busy pediatric practice can be challenging. Increasingly, pediatricians are tasked to cover even more during a routine checkup, including any sleep and dietary concerns as well as screening for mental health problems, social influencers of health, and hand-on-door queries. Since the start of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic, primary care physicians have reported an increase in anxiety and depression in their pediatric patients. We present time management strategies that facilitate the clinician's ability to confront these problems together with the family. These include setting an agenda, acknowledging the limited time, using shared decision-making to prioritize topics, and offering an opportunity for further discussion at a follow-up visit. Using the mnemonic HEL2P3 can provide guidance to balance a visit with competing issues. [Pediatr Ann. 2023;52(11):e426-e429.].

BACKGROUND: While progressing towards universal health coverage, poor time management in the healthcare system had significant effect on an individual such as imbalance, job dissatisfaction, and work ineffectiveness and finally poor productivity of the organization will be resulted. Information about time management practice in the healthcare system is limited. Therefore, the objective of this study was to assess time management practice and associated factors among employees working in public health centers, Dabat District, Northwest Ethiopia. METHODS: A facility-based cross-sectional mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) study was conducted in Dabat District from May 27 to June 22, 2022. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 413 study subjects and for the qualitative data, six key informants were selected. Self-administered questionnaire was used for the quantitative study, and an interview guide was employed for the qualitative study. Epi-data version 4.6 and SPSS 26 software were used for data entry and analysis, respectively. Open Code 4.6 software was used for qualitative data analysis. Variables with p-value of < 0.05 in multivariable analysis were considered as significant associated factors. RESULTS: A total of 396 employees participated in the study with a response rate of 95.8%. The result showed that overall, 54.8% (95% CI: 49.5-59.6) of health employees had practiced good time management. The likelihood of good time management was higher among those health workers who had planning experience (AOR = 2.04, 95% CI: 1.22-3.4), low procrastination habit (AOR = 1.65 95% CI: 1.04-2.65), satisfied with performance appraisal (AOR: 1.7, 95% CI: 1.05-2.81), and satisfied with organizational policy and strategy (AOR: 2.6, 95% CI: 1.6-4.3). The qualitative result also showed that the existing performance appraisal practices were not linked to rewards or sanction planning. CONCLUSION: The overall time management practice of public health center employees was low compared with prior studies. Organizational policies, prior planning experience, procrastination, and performance appraisal were all significantly associated factors with time management practice. Therefore, health center managers need to set an intervention to address all of the following factors to enhance employees' time management skills at public health centers like evidence-based performance appraisals, sharing organizational policies, and engaging in capacity building activities such as training in time management and planning.

AIM/OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the association between perceived clinical competence and time management among nursing students. BACKGROUND: Given the close relationship between clinical competence and nursing care quality, it is important to investigate the nursing students' status in relation to the acquisition of nursing skills. Time management also as a framework for planning, setting goals, prioritizing goals and activities can be regarded as an important factor contributing to the clinical competence of nursing students. DESIGN: A cross-sectional and correlational study SETTINGS/PARTICIPANTS: This study included 221 undergraduate nursing students in Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in Iran in the 2022-2023 academic year. METHOD: The data were collected online through a demographic information questionnaire, the clinical competency inventory, and the time management questionnaire. RESULTS: Students' mean scores for the clinical-competency, and time management were 120.38 ± 22.15, and 77.91 ± 15.15, respectively. Regression models showed that overall time management (ß = 0.454, p < 0.001) and interest in the field of nursing (ß = 0.171, p = 0.004) were predictors for overall clinical competence in nursing students. This model explained 25 % of the variance in clinical competence (F= 38.707, p < 0.001). CONCLUSION: Time management can affect nursing students' competence in providing quality nursing care to patients. Therefore, it seems that holding training workshops on time management skills for nursing students can be an effective and pioneering step in improving these skills.

BACKGROUND: The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between postgraduates' time management disposition and mental health. As such, it constructed a moderated mediation model to examine the mediating role of life satisfaction on the relationship between graduate students' time management disposition and mental health and examine whether this role was moderated by core self-evaluations. METHODS: 455 postgraduates were surveyed by the Adolescence Time Management Disposition Inventory, the Adolescent Students' Life Satisfaction Scale, the revised version of the Chinese Core Self-Evaluation Scale, and the revised version of the Chinese General Health Questionnaire. RESULTS: Time management disposition, life satisfaction, core self-evaluation, and mental health were significantly correlated. Time management disposition indirectly affected mental health through the mediating effect of life satisfaction. Core self-evaluation moderated the second half of the mediating effect of time management disposition on mental health via life satisfaction. CONCLUSION: The findings reveal the mechanism between time management disposition and mental health, which will help school educators to guide postgraduates in developing good time management disposition and improving life satisfaction and core self-evaluation, and thus improve their mental health.

BACKGROUND: Good attitude towards to time management is the backbone to bring a change at individual and organizational levels in different sectors across the globe. But it has been ignored by different institutions, particularly in low and middle-income countries including Ethiopia. However, this can be alleviated if there are punctual, committed, and accessible health professionals that could translate the national aspirations and the desire of the community into reality. This study aims to determine the magnitude and associated factors of attitude towards time management among health professionals working in public hospitals of Dessie City, Northeast Ethiopia, METHODS: Institution-based cross-sectional study was conducted from March 24 -April 24, 2021 among 409 health professionals using a stratified sampling technique, Frequency and percentage were used to describe the study population. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent predictors. A p-value of < 0.05 with 95% CI were used to declare statistically significant associations. RESULTS: The overall good time management attitude among sample was 67%(95%CI:66.77-67.22%). Satisfaction with organizational policy and strategy (AOR: 2.69, 95%CI: 1.42-5.09), satisfaction with supervisor support (AOR: 2.12, 95% CI: 1.19-3.77), and managers' good attitude towards time management (AOR: 2.00, 95%CI: 1.23-3.25) were significantly associated with good attitude towards time management among health professionals. CONCLUSION: The attitude towards time management in public hospitals of Dessie City was low. Satisfaction with organizational policies and strategies, satisfaction with supervisor support, and managers' good attitude towards time management were delineated factors. This low attitude towards time management could affect the practice and it compromise the health service coverage and quality unless timely and appropriate interventions should be taken. Strengthening strategies aimed at maximizing job satisfaction and emphasizing an attitude towards time might have a substantial contribution.
