RESUMO

To investigate the relationship between long-term use of low-dose aspirin and Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection, and its effect on eradication and recurrence of HP. According to the results of C14-Urea Breath Test (C14-UBT), 3256 patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases from March 2019 to December 2020, were divided into HP infection group and non-infection group. Univariate and multivariate was used to investigate the relationship between Low-dose aspirin use and HP infection. 859 patients with hypertension combined with HP infection were divided into aspirin group, non-aspirin group and control group, the eradication rate after 2 weeks of bismuth-containing quadruple drug treatment and the recurrence rate after 1,3 year were compared. The overall infection rate of HP was 53.3%. The results of univariate analysis showed that the infection rate of female, age, BMI, LDL-C, FBG of HP infected group was higher than non-infection. The infection rate of patients who took low-dose aspirin was higher than no-aspirin [56.6% vs. 51.3%, χ2 = 8.548, P = 0.003]. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that long-term aspirin use still increased the risk of infection (OR = 1.433, 95% CI 1.196-1.947, P < 0.001). The Per-Protocol analysis showed that the overall eradication rate was 87.6%, and among the eradication rates of aspirin group, non-aspirin group and control group were not statistically significantly (87.8%, 88.5%, and 86.6%, respectively), The Intention-To-Treat analysis showed that the overall eradication rate was 84.3%, and the eradication rates among the three groups were not statistically significantly. The overall 1-year recurrence rate was 1.3%, and the recurrence rates of the three groups were no statistical significance. The overall 3-years recurrence rate was 3.1%, and the recurrence rate of aspirin group was higher than non-aspirin group and control group (5.30%, 1.90% and 1.70%, respectively, χ2 = 6.118, P < 0.05). The main adverse reactions in the first month of eradication treatment were constipation and mild nausea, and there was no statistical significance between the three groups. Long-term use of low-dose aspirin increases the risk of HP infection and the recurrence rate in 3 years after eradication. It is suggested that HP should be tested and eradicated regularly in long-term users.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the sex differences of Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection rate and 1-year recurrence rate. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted on the prevalence of HP infection in 81,754 people who underwent physical examination in physical examination centers and outpatient clinics of the Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Second People's Hospital of Zhangye City, Tianshui City Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, the First and Second Department of The First Hospital of Lanzhou University Physical Examination Center, from March 2010 to December 2019. Among them, 53,771 (65.77%) were males (18-91 years old) and 27,983 (34.23%) were females (18-94 years old). According to age, they were divided into young group, middle-aged group and old group. 1448 asymptomatic infected patients were selected and treated with bismuth-containing quadruple drug eradication therapy for 2 weeks. The eradication rate and recurrence rate after 1 year were compared between males and females. RESULTS: The overall infection rate was 49.59%, including 49.74% in males and 49.3% in females. The risk of infection in young women was lower than that in men (OR = 0.908, 95%CI: 0.868-0.95, P < 0.01), the risk of infection in older women was higher than that in men (OR = 1.137, 95%CI: 1.041-1.243, P < 0.01). The female infection rate was positively correlated with age from 18 to 60, and Spearman's correlation coefficient was 0.825 (P < 0.01). The overall eradication rate was 84.67% in intention-to-treat analysis (ITT) and 88.46% in protocol analysis (PP). The eradication rates of ITT and PP in the older group were 78.38% and 82.27%, respectively, which were lower than 87.25% and 89.39% in the male group (P < 0.05). The 1-year overall recurrence rate was 3.86%, including 2.82% in males and 5.44% in females (P < 0.05), female was a risk factor for recurrence after eradication after controlling for age (OR = 2.177, 95%CI 1.166-4.066, P < 0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions during the treatment. CONCLUSION: There is a positive linear correlation between HP infection rate and age increase in women. Older women have the characteristics of high HP infection rate, low eradication rate and high recurrence rate.

Changes in isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH) lead to the production of the cancer-causing metabolite 2-hydroxyglutarate, making them a cause of cancer. However, the specific role of IDH in the progression of colon cancer is still not well understood. Our current study provides evidence that IDH2 is significantly increased in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells and actively promotes cell growth in vitro and the development of tumors in vivo. Inhibiting the activity of IDH2, either through genetic silencing or pharmacological inhibition, results in a significant increase in α-ketoglutarate (α-KG), indicating a decrease in the reductive citric acid cycle. The excessive accumulation of α-KG caused by the inactivation of IDH2 obstructs the generation of ATP in mitochondria and promotes the downregulation of HIF-1A, eventually inhibiting glycolysis. This dual metabolic impact results in a reduction in ATP levels and the suppression of tumor growth. Our study reveals a metabolic trait of colorectal cancer cells, which involves the active utilization of glutamine through reductive citric acid cycle metabolism. The data suggests that IDH2 plays a crucial role in this metabolic process and has the potential to be a valuable target for the advancement of treatments for colorectal cancer.

Introduction: As effective growth-promoters and immune-modulators, yeast fermented products have shown positive effects in ruminants. To explore the mechanisms of yeast culture promoting growth and regulating immunity, this study investigated the effects of yeast culture, and ß-glucan as one of its main active ingredients, on the growth performance, immune function, antioxidant capacity and hormonal profile in Mongolian ram lambs. Methods: One hundred and five Mongolian ram lambs were randomly assigned to 3 groups, with 35 replicates in each group. The dietary treatments were: total mixed ration (TMR) as the control group, TMR supplemented with 50-70 g/kg yeast culture (YC) or 75 mg/kg ß-glucan. The test period was 137 days. All the sheep were weighed and 6 serum samples were collected in each group on days 0, 30, 60, 90 and 130, respectively. Results: The results showed that both YC and ß-glucan could promote the growth performance with increased average daily gain and decreased feed to weight gain ratio. Moreover, these two feed additives facilitated the immune function by selectively increasing the serum levels of lysozyme, IgG, IgM, INF-γ, TNF-α and some interleukins (IL-1ß, IL-2, IL-6 and IL-8); ameliorated the antioxidant capacity with higher total antioxidant capacity and enzyme activities of catalase and glutathione peroxidase; altered the metabolism-associated hormone levels with higher growth hormone and thyroid hormone T3 but lower cortisol and insulin. Discussion: In conclusion, both YC and ß-glucan could improve the growth performance, immune function and antioxidant capacity, and regulate the serum levels of metabolism-associated hormones, thus exerting effects of promoting growth and improving immune function. Therefore, YC could be considered as a suitable potential alternative strategy to antibiotics and be used as an animal feed additive. This article provides a theoretical basis for the clinical application of such yeast fermented preparations in mutton sheep husbandry.

BACKGROUND AND STUDY AIMS: Immunotherapy has emerged as a hot topic in cancer treatment in recent years and has also shown potential in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori-associated gastric cancer. However, there is still a need to identify potential immunotherapy targets. MATERIAL AND METHODS: We used the GSE116312 dataset of Helicobacter pylori-associated gastric cancer to identify differentially expressed genes, which were then overlapped with immune genes from the ImmPort database. The identified immune genes were used to classify gastric cancer samples and evaluate the relationship between classification and tumor mutations, as well as immune infiltration. An immune gene-based prognostic model was constructed, and the expression levels of the genes involved in constructing the model were explored in the tumor immune microenvironment. RESULTS: We successfully identified 60 immune genes and classified gastric cancer samples into two subtypes, which showed differences in prognosis, tumor mutations, immune checkpoint expression, and immune cell infiltration. Subsequently, we constructed an immune prognostic model consisting of THBS1 and PDGFD, which showed significant associations with macrophages and fibroblasts. CONCLUSION: We identified abnormal expression of THBS1 and PDGFD in cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor immune microenvironment, suggesting their potential as therapeutic targets.

Microorganisms inhabit the gastrointestinal tract of ruminants and regulate body metabolism by maintaining intestinal health. The state of gastrointestinal health is influenced not only by the macro-level factors of optimal development and the physiological structure integrity but also by the delicate equilibrium between the intestinal flora and immune status at the micro-level. Abrupt weaning in young ruminants causes incomplete development of the intestinal tract resulting in an unstable and unformed microbiota. Abrupt weaning also induced damages to the microecological homeostasis of the intestinal tract, resulting in the intestinal infections and diseases, such as diarrhea. Recently, nutritional and functional yeast culture has been researched to tackle these problems. Herein, we summarized current known interactions between intestinal microorganisms and the body of young ruminants, then we discussed the regulatory effects of using yeast culture as a feed supplement. Yeast culture is a microecological preparation that contains yeast, enriched with yeast metabolites and other nutrient-active components, including ß-glucan, mannan, digestive enzymes, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and some other unknown growth factors. It stimulates the proliferation of intestinal mucosal epithelial cells and the reproduction of intestinal microorganisms by providing special nutrient substrates to support the intestinal function. Additionally, the ß-glucan and mannan effectively stimulate intestinal mucosal immunity, promote immune response, activate macrophages, and increase acid phosphatase levels, thereby improving the body's resistance to several disease. The incorporation of yeast culture into young ruminants' diet significantly alleviated the damage caused by weaning stress to the gastrointestinal tract which also acts an effective strategy to promote the balance of intestinal flora, development of intestinal tissue, and establishment of mucosal immune system. Our review provides a theoretical basis for the application of yeast culture in the diet of young ruminants.

Effective information extraction of pharmaceutical texts is of great significance for clinical research. The ancient Chinese medicine text has streamlined sentences and complex semantic relationships, and the textual relationships may exist between heterogeneous entities. The current mainstream relationship extraction model does not take into account the associations between entities and relationships when extracting, resulting in insufficient semantic information to form an effective structured representation. In this paper, we propose a heterogeneous graph neural network relationship extraction model adapted to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) text. First, the given sentence and predefined relationships are embedded by bidirectional encoder representation from transformers (BERT fine-tuned) word embedding as model input. Second, a heterogeneous graph network is constructed to associate words, phrases, and relationship nodes to obtain the hidden layer representation. Then, in the decoding stage, two-stage subject-object entity identification method is adopted, and the identifier adopts a binary classifier to locate the start and end positions of the TCM entities, identifying all the subject-object entities in the sentence, and finally forming the TCM entity relationship group. Through the experiments on the TCM relationship extraction dataset, the results show that the precision value of the heterogeneous graph neural network embedded with BERT is 86.99% and the F1 value reaches 87.40%, which is improved by 8.83% and 10.21% compared with the relationship extraction models CNN, Bert-CNN, and Graph LSTM.

Prescription data is an important focus and breakthrough in the study of clinical treatment rules, and the complex multidimensional relationships between Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prescription data increase the difficulty of extracting knowledge from clinical data. This paper proposes a complex prescription recognition algorithm (MTCMC) based on the classification and matching of TCM prescriptions with classical prescriptions to identify the classical prescriptions contained in the prescriptions and provide a reference for mining TCM knowledge. The MTCMC algorithm first calculates the importance level of each drug in the complex prescriptions and determines the core prescription combinations of patients through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) combined with drug dosage. Secondly, a drug attribute tagging strategy was used to quantify the functional features of each drug in the core prescriptions; finally, a Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Network (BiLSTM) was used to extract the relational features of the core prescriptions, and a vector representation similarity matrix was constructed in combination with the Siamese network framework to calculate the similarity between the core prescriptions and the classical prescriptions. The experimental results show that the accuracy and F1 score of the prescription matching dataset constructed based on this paper reach 94.45% and 94.34% respectively, which is a significant improvement compared with the models of existing methods.

Different interacting contexts influence the decision-making process, as revealed by the computational modeling. Through four studies, we investigated how smartphone addiction and anxiety influenced impulsive behaviors, along with the underlying psychological mechanisms and dynamic decision-making processes. In the first and second studies, we found no significant correlation between smartphone addiction and impulsive behavior. However, in the third study, we found that smartphone separation increased impulsive decision-making and purchases, and state anxiety, but not trait anxiety, mediated this effect. We explored the dynamic decision-making process using a multi-attribute drift diffusion model (DDM). The results showed that anxiety triggered by smartphone separation changed the trade-offs between decision weights for the fundamental components of the dynamic choice process. In the fourth study, we investigated why smartphone addiction led to increased anxiety and found that extended-self was a mediating factor. Our findings show that smartphone addiction was not correlated with impulsive behaviors, but was correlated with state anxiety in the context of smartphone separation. Further, this study shows how emotional states triggered by different interacting contexts affect the dynamic decision-making process and consumer behaviors.

Studies have demonstrated the detrimental effects of overt hyperthyroidism on sexual functioning.Here,we comprehensively reviewed the studies that focused on the association between overt hyperthyroidism and erectile dysfunction (ED).After the systematic searching for relevant studies,we find that overt hyperthyroidism is significantly associated with the high risk of ED.The prevalence of ED in patients with hyperthyroidism ranges from 3.05% to 85%,while that in general population is 2.16% to 33.8%.A study reported that the erectile functioning of the hyperthyroidism patients was improved (International Index of Erectile Function:22.1±6.9 vs. 25.2±5.1) after the achievement of euthyroidism.The underlying mechanism of the increase in the risk of ED by overt hyperthyroidism might be correlated to the dysfunction of hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid axis,dysregulation of sex hormones,abnormal expression of thyroid hormone receptors,and psychiatric or psychological disturbances (e.g.,depression,anxiety,and irritability).Since limited clinical trials have been conducted,additional well-designed cohorts with sizable samples are warranted to elucidate the evidence and mechanism of hyperthyroidism predisposing to ED.The present review indicates that overt hyperthyroidism and the risk of ED are associated,which reminds the clinicians should assess the thyroid stimulating hormone in hyperthyroidism patients presenting with ED,especially in those without positive conventional laboratory findings for causing ED.

In recent years, hazardous wastewater treatment has been a complex and global problem. In this work, by considering the antimicrobial activity of Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO), we constructed an antibacterial device (G-AgNP) with AgNPs conformably deposited onto a 3D scaffold of reduced graphene oxide in situ. The major limitation, which is difficult to recycle, of two-dimensional graphene-silver composite materials in previous studies is improved. Characterization techniques, SEM, TEM, XRD, and XPS, confirmed the synthesis of nanocomposites. Attributed to its larger specific area, more active sites, and synergistic enhancement, the G-AgNP device demonstrated the best bacterial removal capacity, with an antibacterial rate for both E. coli and S. aureus as high as 100% at quite low AgNP contents. The reported G-AgNP has potential application as a wearable sewage treatment device and for the protection of wearable sensors as a promising sterilizing candidate based on its high and stable antibacterial efficiency.

Gastric cancer is a leading cause of tumor-associated death worldwide. Metastasis and chemoresistance are crucial barriers for gastric cancer treatment. The Forkhead Box M1 (FOXM1) transcription factor has been reported as a promising treatment target for various types of tumors, but its effects on gastric cancer progression are not fully understood. In the present study, we found that FOXM1 expression levels were significantly up-regulated in human gastric cancer cell lines and tissues, and its expression was much higher in patients with metastasis. We then found that suppressing FOXM1 with its inhibitor thiostrepton (THIO) significantly reduced the proliferation of gastric cancer cells, while induced G0/G1 and apoptosis. Moreover, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, mitochondrial impair and autophagy were remarkably provoked in gastric cancer cells treated with THIO, which were required for the regulation of apoptotic cell death. Furthermore, THIO exposure considerably suppressed the migration, invasion and angiogenesis in gastric cancer cells. The inhibitory effects of THIO on tumor growth and metastasis were confirmed in an established gastric cancer xenograft mouse model without detectable toxicity. Intriguingly, our in vitro studies showed that the anti-cancer effects of THIO on gastric cancer were almost abolished upon FOXM1 over-expression, indicating the necessity of FOXM1 suppression in THIO-inhibited tumor growth. In addition, higher FOXM1 expression was detected in gastric cancer cells with chemoresistance. Both in vitro and in vivo studies illustrated that THIO strongly promoted the drug-resistant gastric cancer cells to chemotherapies, proved by the considerably decreased cell proliferation and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process. Together, these findings revealed that FOXM1 was a promising therapeutic target for gastric cancer treatment, and THIO exerted potential as an therapeutic agent for the disease.

Hypospadias is one of the most common congenital malformations in boys. Due to abnormal appearance in the penis with abnormal urination and erection, patients with hypospadias were vulnerable to suffering from stress and psychiatric difficulties. The present study aims to summarize all the current evidence of the association between hypospadias and the risk of psychiatric disorders by a comprehensive review. Seventeen clinical studies were identified in the four electronic databases. A total of 953,872 participants were involved, while 15,729 of them were hypospadiac patients and the remaining 938,143 were normal controls. The standard age for surgery for hypospadias ranged from 20.4 months to 21.5 years. Eight out of seventeen (8/17, 47%) included studies explicitly showed that patients with hypospadias had a significantly higher risk of psychosocial disorders (all P < 0.05). Specific types of psychiatric disorders included depression, anxiety, shyness, timidness, isolation, fear of ridicule, attention-deficit hyperactivity, autism spectrum, behavioral/emotional disorders, temper tantrums, emotionality, affective, psychosexual problems, and suicidal tendencies. Based on this review, psychiatric illnesses are frequently detected in hypospadiac patients' childhood, thus proper psychiatric guidance and early interventions from physicians, nurses, and parents may help these children to grow into less affected men.

Digoxin, a commonly used drug for congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias, has been reported to exert cytotoxic and apoptosis-inducing effects on prostate cancer (PCa) cells. In this study, we aimed to perform a pooled analysis to summarise all the evidence related to the effects of digoxin on PCa development. Four electronic databases were systematically searched to filter the eligible studies. The hazard ratio (HR) with its 95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated. This study was registered on PROSPERO (ID: CRD42021226885). Ten clinical studies with a total of 108,444 participants (15,835 individuals were digoxin users) were included. The pooled result from 6 included studies demonstrated that digoxin usage was correlated with a significant decrease in PCa risk (adjusted RR = 0.892, 95% CI: 0.799-0.997, p = .044) when compared with the nonusers. Synthetic result of 4 eligible studies revealed that digoxin significantly correlated with higher prostate cancer-specific mortality than the controls (adjusted HR = 1.142, 95% CI: 1.005-1.297). No statistical heterogeneity was detected during this analysis (all I2  < 50%, p > .1). Our study confirmed a preventive effect of digoxin usage for the risk of PCa in men. However, digoxin use was associated with a significantly elevated risk of prostate cancer-specific mortality. This finding needs more well-designed studies to better interpret the causality.

PURPOSE: Proviral integration of Moloney murine leukemia virus (PIM) family kinases can promote the survival and movement of carcinoma cells and the metastatic growth of various types of carcinoma. However, there are few studies on PIM1 in colorectal carcinoma (CRC), so we decided to investigate this issue. METHODS: Data about PIM1 expression and clinical and mutation information were downloaded from The Carcinoma Genome Atlas (TCGA). Survival analysis was performed by Kaplan-Meier method and the cumulative incidence of survival events was calculated. The correlation of PIM1 mRNA expression and immune infiltration score with the mutation index (TMB; tumor mutational burden), MSI (microsatellite instability)) was tested by Spearman's method. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis of PIM1 enrichment and carcinoma-related pathways in CRC were performed. RESULTS: PIM1 was elevated in most carcinomas, especially CRC. In CRC, PIPM1 had a correlation with the overall survival (OS), disease-specific survival (DSS), disease-free interval (DFI), and progression-free interval (PFI). They indicated that PIPM1 acts in the progression of CRC. PIM1 was correlated with MSI, immune score and immune cell infiltration. Thereby it linked its expression with the evaluation of treatment response. CONCLUSIONS: Bioinformatics analysis confirmed PIM1 as a good biomarker for the prognosis and treatment evaluation of CRC.

As an emerging language variant, practitioners have extensively used Internet slang in advertising and other communication activities. However, its unique characteristics that differ from standard language have yet to be explored. Drawing upon interdisciplinary theories on schema and communication styles, this research makes the first attempt to conceptualize and measure these characteristics by introducing a new multi-dimensional construct, "Internet slang style," in the marketing context. It develops and validates a new scale to measure Internet slang style along the dimensions of amiability, overtness, candor, and harshness through a series of in-depth interviews, two surveys, and one experiment with consumers. In addition, this research investigates the impact of Internet slang styles on brand personality and brand attitude. The results indicate that different Internet slang style dimensions positively correspond to different brand personality dimensions but exert no influence on brand attitude. Practically, the scale provides an easy-to-use instrument to evaluate Internet slang styles from a consumer perspective to help companies appropriately employ Internet slang in marketing communication activities.

To date, how to select an appropriate strategy to treat advanced prostate cancer (PCa) patients with tumor progression after abiraterone acetate (AA) intervention is still confusing. Here, we conducted a case report and review of the literatures focused on this issue. A 63-year-old man presented initially with dysuria. Multiple pelvic bone metastases but no other lesions were detected. He was subsequently diagnosed with PCa after biopsies, the initial clinical staging was cT2cNxM1. This patient was treated with two periods of AA (first treatment: 16-month; secondary treatment: 19-month) combined with other therapeutic regimens [i.e., goserelin acetate, bicalutamide, docetaxel, and radical prostatectomy (RP), etc.], followed by a significant biochemical response during over 5 years of follow-up. In the present case report with 63 months of the treatment course, we found that patient with metastatic PCa who early received AA as the initial regimen could gain benefit from the retreatment of AA: minor progression and gain long-time survival. This "sandwich method" with AA administered initially, withdrawal, and sequentially following Bicalutamide, Docetaxel, RP, and retreatment of AA may prolong the response time of AA retreatment and delay the progression of metastatic PCa, which reminds clinicians should pay attention to this phenomenon and explore the underlying mechanisms.

Expression level of miR-98 in diabetic colon cancer (CRC) tissues and the regulation mechanism of colon cancer cell proliferation and invasion ability were studied. Forty patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with colon cancer, 40 colon cancer patients, and 40 patients with diabetic colonoscopy were enrolled between January 2017 and January 2018. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to detect the expression level of miR-98. After SW480 cells were transfected with miR-98 mimics or control simulants, the proliferation of cancer cells was detected by MTT assay, and the invasion ability of cancer cells was detected by Transwell cell invasion assay. The dual luciferase assay was used to detect the binding relationship between miR-98 and IGF1R. Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression of IGF1R protein in tumor tissues of patients with diabetes mellitus and colon cancer. Compared with diabetic patients, the expression level of miR-98 was decreased in colon cancer patients. Compared with tumor tissues of colon cancer patients, the expression level of miR-98 was significantly decreased in diabetic colon cancer tissues. Compared with the commonly cultured colon cancer SW480 cells, the expression level of miR-98 was significantly decreased in SW480 cells cultured under high glucose conditions. Increased expression of miR-98 inhibits colon cancer cell proliferation and invasion. miR-98 can target and bind to IGF1R and inhibit its expression level. IGF1R is upregulated in diabetic colon cancer tissue. miR-98 inhibits proliferation and invasion of diabetic colon cancer by targeting IGF1R. The expression level of miR-98 in diabetic colon cancer tissues is lower than that in colon cancer tissues. miR-98 can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of colon cancer cells by targeting the target gene IGF1R. miR-98 may be a potential biological target for the treatment of patients with diabetes and colon cancer.

Internet slang is a new language with innovative and novel characteristics, and its use can be considered a form of creative advertising. Embedding internet slang into advertisements can thus enhance their creative quality and increase the attention paid to them. In this study, we examined the effect of the characteristics of internet slang on attention to advertisements, brand awareness, product evaluation, and attitudes toward advertising by conducting two empirical studies, one utilizing eye-tracking experiments and the other utilizing questionnaires. We found that using internet slang in advertising significantly increased audience attention compared with standard language but did not necessarily improve product evaluation and brand awareness for various types of goods. We discovered code-switching effects of psycholinguistics existed in standard language and its variant (internet slang). Our findings can guide advertisers in selecting the embedded language that can be effective in achieving their desired advertising effect. Our findings also indicate that the excessive use of internet slang may have a negative effect on brand and product evaluation.

Differences in inflammatory factors IL-6 and miR-1271 expression levels between elderly and young gastric cancer patients were investigated. A retrospective analysis of 146 cases of gastric cancer tissue and normal fresh tissue specimens diagnosed in The First Hospital of Lanzhou University from January 2013 to January 2015, was performed. Patients aged ≥60 years were the elderly group (76 cases), and patients ≤40 years were the youth group (70 cases). RT-qPCR was used to detect the relative expression levels of IL-6 and miR-1271, and Kaplan-Meier for a postoperative 3-year survival analysis of young and elderly gastric cancer patients. The expression level of IL-6 and miR-1271 was significantly higher in young gastric cancer tissues than that in elderly gastric cancer tissues (P<0.001). The expression levels of IL-6 and miR-1271 were correlated with age, tumor size, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, clinical stage and differentiation degree of gastric cancer patients (P<0.05). The 3-year overall survival rate of patients with a low expression of IL-6 and miR-1271 was better than that of patients with a high expression in young and elderly gastric cancer (P<0.05). IL-6 was highly expressed but miR-1271 expression was low in gastric cancer tissues. The 3-year overall survival rate of patients with the low expression of IL-6 was better than that of patients with the high expression in young and elderly gastric cancer. The high expression of miR-1271 was better than that of patients with the low expression in young and elderly gastric cancer. Findings of the present study provide data support for the clinical evaluation of differences between young and elderly gastric cancer and their prognosis.
