RESUMO

The article presents a case of ischemic stroke after SARS-CoV-2 infection in a patient with dyscirculatory encephalopathy and schizophrenia. Patient 44 years old, was hospitalized due to a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and diagnosed bilateral pneumonia with a damage to 65% of the lung parenchyma. The patient has a history of dyscirculatory encephalopathy and paranoid schizophrenia, a continuous type of course. A fatal outcome occurs on the 2nd day of inpatient treatment. A brain autopsy revealed pericellular and perivascular edema, looseness of neuroglia with necrobiotic changes in the brain substance. Neuronal damage, small-focal gliosis, basophilic balls, destructive-productive vasculitis, ischemic small-focus necrosis were revealed. In the lungs, areas of atelectasis, disatelectasis, hyaline membranes, and edematous fluid were found. Epithelium of the convoluted tubules showed dystrophic and necrotic changes. The cause of death of the patient was a new coronavirus infection COVID-19, which caused bilateral viral pneumonia, complicated by the development of acute respiratory failure and COVID-associated ischemic cerebral infarction complicated by neuromorphological changes in the brain.

RESUMO

The histamine content in bioamine-containing cells and the content of NSE+ cells of the lymph nodes were studied in rats in 40 min and in 2 and 4 h after bone marrow allotransplantation by using the cross luminescence-histochemical method and immunohistochemical method, respectively. Within 2 h after allotransplantation of the bone marrow, a significant increase in histamine content in bioamine-containing cells and an increase in the number of NSE+ cells in the period were observed. Both APUD and NSE+ cells were found to be heterogeneous by staining and luminescence.

RESUMO

We studied the effect of bone marrow autotransplantation on the morphofunctional properties and numerical population of mast cells. The experiments were performed on 4-monthold male mice. The animals received an injection of a suspension of bone marrow obtained from the femoral epiphyses of these animals into the caudal vein. In 40 min and 2 h after autotransplantation, the number of tryptase-positive mast cells increased by 1.1 times. The formation of groups of mast cells near erythroid-neutrophil islets and near blood vessels was observed. The proportion of metachromatic mast cells significantly increased. By the degree of mast cells degranulation, we detected non-degranulated up to 48.0±1.4% (vs 55.2±1.2% in intact mice) and moderately degranulated mast cells 22.0±1.2% (vs 18.2±0.9% in intact mice); the percentage of actively degranulated cells was 10.0±0.8% (vs 3.6±0.9% in intact mice; p<0.05). Morphometric parameters of mast cells were changed, with a slight increase in their diameter and distance between the cells. The number of histamine-containing mast cells increased significantly (by 3.2 times in 40 min and by 5.9 times in 2 h) and histamine content in these cells also increased. Thus, bone marrow autotransplantation led to intensification of degranulation and sulfation of mast cells and the release of histamine from them.

RESUMO

We studied the effect of bioactive compounds Trepel and Suvar on proliferation and enzyme activity of hepatocytes. It was noted that the bioactive compounds activated enzymes in hepatocytes and stimulated their proliferation after mechanical injury to the liver in 18-day-old rats.

RESUMO

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of biologically active drugs (BAD) "Trepel" and "Suvar" on the hepatocyte ploidy during the restoration of liver structure in rat fetuses and newborn pups after mechanical injury, inflicted on days 16-17 of intrauterine development (n = 112), and to determine the association of polyploidization with the other manifestations of regeneration. It was found that during the healing of mechanical liver injury in fetuses and newborn rat pups, along with hepatocytes proliferation, their polyploidization occured. This suggests that polyploidization is one of manifestations of a regenerative process. This study has also shown that BAD "Trepel" and "Suvar" activated both hepatocyte proliferation and their polyploidization. The authors believe that the stimulating effect of these substances is associated with their growth-stimulating effect which results in the change in hormonal status of rat organism.

RESUMO

The effect of biologically active substances (BAS) "Trepel" and "Suvar" on liver regeneration 1-30 days after its mechanical injury was studied using histological and morphometric methods in 110 rat pups aged 18 days. The control group comprised 90 animals that received no treatment following liver injury. It was shown that both BAS studied inhibited the inflammatory reaction around the injury focus, suppressed collagenogenesis and activated hepatocyte proliferation. This resulted in the significant substitution of the damaged area by the hepatocytes, that was absent in the control animals. In animals treated with BAS, the numbers of binucleated and mitotically dividing hepatocytes was increased, while the amount of hepatocytes with dystrophic changes was reduced. Authors associate the positive effect of BAS on liver structure regeneration with their growth-promoting activity, resulting in the hypertrophy of different organs, including the thyroid and the adrenal glands, that is accompanied by an excessive production of the respective hormones displaying their physiological actions.
