RESUMO
According to the literature, cerebellopontine angle tumors cause secondary trigeminal neuralgia and other symptoms of neurovascular compression in 1-9.9% of cases. We present a 58-year-old patient with left-sided secondary trigeminal neuralgia caused by ipsilateral posterior petrous meningioma. Stereotactic irradiation was followed by effective tumor growth control. However, residual trigeminal pain paroxysms significantly reduced the quality of life and required subsequent microsurgery. Trigeminal facial pain regressed after total resection of tumor. Considering this clinical case, we would like to discuss several issues: follow-up of meningioma requiring radiosurgery, course of secondary trigeminal neuralgia in a patient with apical petrous meningioma, characteristics of pain before and after radiosurgery, the best treatment option for these patients. Stereotactic radiosurgery seems unreasonable for CPA tumors with secondary trigeminal neuralgia. Indeed, persistent pain is possible even after tumor shrinkage. Moreover, primary stereotactic irradiation significantly complicates subsequent resection of tumor.

Anterior cervical osteophytes are a fairly common X-ray finding in people over 50 years old. Incidence of dysphagia in patients with anterior osteophytes varies from 1% in those aged 40-60 years to 10.6% in patients over 60 years old. The most common causes of anterior cervical hyperosteophytosis causing dysphagia are cervical spondylosis deformans and Forestier disease. We present 2 clinical cases of spondylogenic dysphagia in cervical spondylosis deformans and Forestier disease. The review is devoted to the causes and diagnostic methods for dysphagia caused by anterior cervical osteophytes, as well as surgical options for this pathology. CONCLUSION: Microsurgical resection of anterior osteophytes is an effective method for dysphagia after ineffective therapy for 3 months. Microsurgical osteophytectomy provides stable regression of dysphagia with low recurrence rate.

In experiments on male rabbits with the lack of insulin it is been revealed violations after the past immobilization the intensivity and duration of neutrophilic leukocytosis decrease, contents of lysosomes in neutrophils, activity of acid phosphatase. By lysosomal ferments don't determine the can observer discordance of processes of coagulation, fibrinolysis, kininogenesis.

The assimilation of polyamine, levamine and "new" alvesin has been experimentally assessed by blood and tissue urea concentrations. It has been established that polyamine was best assimilated and was followed by levamine and "new" alvesin.

The retrospective analysis of dysentery morbidity in Blagoveshchensk for the period of 1960-1987 was made. The regularities linking general natural and biological factors triggering the epidemic process with dysentery morbidity among the population are emphasized. The study revealed that under the conditions of Blagoveshchensk dairy products were of major epidemic importance among factors contributing to the transmission of dysentery. Such a factor as flies also had a definite influence on the epidemic process of dysentery. Another risk factor was drinking water which influenced the epidemic process both directly and indirectly through dairy products and, probably, other foodstuffs. Reliable correlation between dysentery morbidity among the population and the quality of dairy products, tap water and the number of flies was established.

The effect of drop infusions of 10% glucose solution for parenteral nutrition, in a dose of 2 g/kg, on bile secretion was studied in experiments on dogs with chronic gallbladder-duodenal fistulas. It was demonstrated that the infusion of hypertonic glucose solution inhibits bile production quantitatively and qualitatively.

Experiments were made on dogs with chronic U-shaped gall bladder-duodenal fistulas. The animals received 10% sorbitol (0.6 g/kg) injections into the peripheral vein. Analysis of total bile acids cholesterol and total bilirubin in hourly portions of the bile showed that sorbitol known to produce a choleretic effect when administered enterally and intraduodenally failed to have a choleretic effect after intravenous injection.

Antitoxic properties of cobamamide, a coenzymic form of vitamin B12, were studied in experimental toxic hepatitis induced by CCl4. The data obtained as a result of the assessment of the bromosulfalene test and activity of sorbitol dehydrogenase and alanine aminotransferase point to a demonstrable hepatoprotective action of cobamamide. Normalization of the indicators studied evidences that the drug intensifies the recovery processes occurring in the liver of rabbits with toxic hepatitis.
