[Peculiarities of the cellular blood composition of the rats, receiving mare's milk fat during immunization].

The influence of polyunsaturated fatty acids of mare 's milk fat on the cellular composition of the peripheral blood was investigated in male rats after a prolonged period of feeding. Animals were fed with isocaloric purified diet, part fats which on 30% (on caloricity) of fat marers milk (in experements group), in control groups - combination of lard and sunflower oil in which the ratio of fatty acids omega-6/omega-3 was equal to 0,76. At the end of the 6-th week of feeding (on the 6-th day after a single immunization with a 5% sheep erythrocyte suspension) the immunized animals have demonstrated leucocytosis that was marked by a considerable rise in the level of neutrophils and lymphocytes and a twofold increase of monocyte number. Such characteristic changes in leucocytogram exept low monocytosis were not revealed in immunized rats at the end of the 8-th week of feeding (on the 13-th day after a repeated immunization).

[Epidemiological characterisation of acute and chronic hepatitis B in Uzbekistan]. / Epidemiologicheskaia kharakteristika ostrogo i khronicheskogo gepatita B v Uzbekistane.

The epidemiological survey of 126 foci with patients having acute hepatitis B (AHB) and 120 foci with patients having chronic hepatitis B (CHB) was conducted. The observation of the susceptible members of the family showed that a significantly higher level of infection was found in persons having contacts with CHB patients (44.4 +/- 2.3%) in comparison with the members of the families of AHB patients (33.2 +/- 2.3%). The study revealed that children under 14 years were actively involved into the epidemic process; in these children the highest levels of infection were observed in the families of AHB patients (40.2 +/- 3.7%) and CHB patients (57.1 +/- 3.5%). High detection rate of HbsAg were noted in brothers and sisters in the foci of AHB (42.3 +/- 6.4%) and the foci of CHB (52.3 +/- 5.4%), also in parents: 32.4 +/- 5.2% and 46.5 +/- 4.2%, in children: 28.8 +/- 3.4% and 35.6 +/- 3.6% respectively.

Salmonella infection in children caused by polyresistant S. typhimurium strains is characterized by a highly severe course with possible complications. In the treatment of young children with salmonellosis the use of the locally manufactured biologically active additive Bektit-M, possessing adsorption capacity, is recommended. The use of this preparation in complex treatment has made it possible to establish its clinical effect and positive influence on the biochemical characteristics of the blood.

The influence of essential fatty acids of mare's milk fat on the immunocompetent system and nonspecific resistance was investigated after 6 and 8 weeks of feeding. Rats were fed with isocaloric purified diets containing 15% of test fat (combination of lard and sunflower oil--in control) which provide the ratio of omega-6/omega-3 fatty acids equal to 0.76. After 6 weeks of feeding an increase of immune responsiveness and nonspecific resistance in the group fed with the diet with mare's milk fat on the 6th day a single immunization of the animals with 5% sheep erythrocyte suspension was noted but that increase of secondary immune responsiveness was not noted after 8 weeks of feeding, an increase of nonspecific resistance is kept.

The influence of essential fatty acids of mare's milk fat on the immunocompetent system and nonspecific resistance of male rats weighing 135-145 g was investigated after 6 weeks of feeding. Rats were fed with isocaloric purified diets containing 15% of test fat (in control--combination of lard and sunflower oil) which provide the ratio of omega-6/omega-3 fatty acids equal to 0.76. An increase of immune responsiveness and nonspecific resistance in the group fed with the diet with mare's milk fat on day 6 after a single immunization of the animals with 5% sheep erythrocyte suspension was noted.

[Method of determination of Salmonella and Yersinia antigens adsorbed on on the surface of erythrocytes of the patients]. / Sposob opredeleniia antigenov sal'monell i iersinii, adsorbirovannykh na poverkhnosti éritrotsitov bol'nykh.

The method is based on the fact that patients' red cells with the specific antigens adsorbed on their surface, interacting with the specific antibodies, enter the hemagglutination reaction. 8% red cell suspension with diluted commercial sera hyperimmune to Salmonellae and Yersinia, serovars O3 and O9, are used in the test. The hemagglutination test was found sufficiently specific and sensitive for the detection of even the lowest concentrations of the specific antigen on the surface of red cell membranes in the patients with salmonellosis and yersiniosis.

[Lipid and fatty acid composition and lipid peroxidation of sublimated mare's milk after its long term preservation using antioxidants]. / Lipidnyi, zhirno-kislotnyi sostav i sostoianie perekisnogo okisleniia lipidov sublimirovannogo kobyl'ego moloka pri dlitel'nom khranenii s antioksidantami.

Sublimated mare's milk was stored with and without antioxidants during one year. The antioxidants quercetin and bisalcophen were introduced before drying in a dose of 0.02% relative to milk fat. Lipid, fatty acid composition and lipid peroxidation (LPO) parameters (diene and triene conjugates, total lipid oxidation) were studied immediately after drying and after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of storage. No significant changes were detected in lipid, fatty-acid composition and LPO rate after 3 months of dried milk storage without additives. Significant deterioration of lipid, fatty-acid composition, increase of LPO and oxidation of milk were recorded after 6 months. Addition of quercetin and bisalcophen promoted stabilization of fatty-acid composition and prolonged the term of sublimated mare's milk storage.

[Evaluation of the effects of lipids isolated from sublimated mare's milk on the indicators of lipid metabolism and fatty acid composition of blood plasma, erythrocyte stroma and liver tissue in rats]. / Otsenka vliianiia lipidov, vydelennykh iz sublimirovannogo kobyl'ego moloka, na pokazateli lipidnogo obmena i sostav zhirnykh kislot plazmy krovi, stromy éritrotsitov i tkani pecheni krys.

During six weeks rats were given a ration containing, as the only source of fat, lipids of sublimated mare's milk that had been stored with or without antioxidants (quercitrol, bisalcophen) during 3 months. The influence of specific quality of the ration fat on lipids and fatty acid composition of lipids in blood plasma, erythrocytic stroma and liver tissue, as well as on lipid peroxidation in the tissues was studied in the test animals. No changes induced by the lipids from sublimated mare's milk were detected in the parameters studied.
