203 road dust samples were conducted across China covering 28 provinces from January to February,2016 to comprehensively investigates the occurrence, distribution and human exposure of 21 phthalic esters (PAEs). The concentration of Σ21PAEs in road dust ranged from 2.3 to 531 mg/kg, with a mean concentration of 64.1 ± 57.2 mg/kg. DEHP, DnBP and DiBP were the dominant components accounting for 63.3 - 97.9% (mean: 92.1%) of the Σ21PAEs. Significant Pearson correlation (r=0.51, p< 0.0001) between Σ21PAEs concentrations and longitude demonstrated a distinguished geographical trend. Higher concentration of PAEs in sidewalk (SW) and trunk road (TR) may reflect influence of human activities such as shoe wear and traffic load. Significant differences were found among different human activities area (urban commercial, urban residential, and suburbs/rural). For total daily intake of Æ©21PAEs via street dust, children had the highest exposure risk followed by teenagers and adults with the median values of 160.8, 43.6, and 37.7 ng/kg-bw/day, respectively. The maximum exposure risk of PAEs calculated based on measurement and simulation were all far below reference values. The sensitivity analysis results demonstrated that concentrations, ingestion rate (IR) and fraction of PAEs absorbed in the skin (AF) were most important parameters on the assessment of exposure risk of PAEs via street dust. Specific parameters based on China and Chinses population is needed to obtain more reliable exposure risk via street dust.

Two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals ferroelectrics provide an unprecedented architectural freedom for the creation of artificial multiferroics and nonvolatile electronic devices based on vertical and coplanar heterojunctions of 2D ferroic materials. Nevertheless, controlled microscopic manipulation of ferroelectric domains is still rare in monolayer-thick 2D ferroelectrics with in-plane polarization. Here we report the discovery of robust ferroelectricity with a critical temperature close to 400 K in SnSe monolayer plates grown on graphene and the demonstration of controlled room-temperature ferroelectric domain manipulation by applying appropriate bias voltage pulses to the tip of a scanning tunneling microscope (STM). This study shows that STM is a powerful tool for detecting and manipulating the microscopic domain structures in 2D ferroelectric monolayers, which are difficult for conventional approaches such as piezoresponse force microscopy, thus facilitating the hunt for other 2D ferroelectric monolayers with in-plane polarization with important technological applications.

Objective and Design: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is an immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated inflammatory respiratory hypersensitivity characterized by elevated Th2 cytokines and infiltration of inflammatory cells to nasal tissues. BX471 is a small-molecule C-C chemokine receptor type 1 (CCR1) antagonist involved in suppression of inflammation via blocking of primary ligands. In this study, we examined the anti-inflammatory effect of BX471 on ovalbumin (OVA)-induced AR mice model. Materials and Methods: Levels of OVA-specific IgE and Th1 cytokines were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Nasal expression of proinflammatory mediators was assessed by real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). Nasal-cavity sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin (HE) and periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) to study eosinophil infiltration and goblet cell metaplasia. Relative protein levels of Nuclear Factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-kB), Toll-like Receptor 4 (TLR4) and Toll-like-receptor 2 (TLR2) were assessed by Western Blot. Percentage of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ T regulatory cells (Treg) was measured by flow cytometry. Results: Mice treated with BX471 showed significantly relieved sneezing and nasal-rubbing behaviors. The expression of nasal proinflammatory factors was significantly downregulated by BX471, and protein levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF- α) and NF-kB were suppressed. Blockade of CCR1 ligands inhibited eosinophil recruitment in nasal cavity. In addition, Treg cells population were upregulated in BX471-treated mice. Conclusion: BX471 exerts anti-inflammatory effects in a mouse model of AR by inhibiting CCR1-mediated TNF-α production, which subsequently suppresses NF-kB activation in inflammatory cells, leading to a decrease in Th2 cytokines, IL-1ß, VCAM-1, GM-CSF, RANTES, and MIP-1α expression levels, thus inhibiting eosinophil recruitment to nasal mucosa. In addition, BX-471 exhibits anti-allergic effect by increasing Treg cell population. Overall, BX471 represents a promising therapeutic strategy against AR.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: To identify the optimal range and the minimum number of lymph nodes (LNs) to be examined to maximize survival time of patients with curatively resected gallbladder adenocarcinoma (GBAC). METHODS: Data were collected from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results database on patients with GBAC who underwent curative resection between 2004 and 2015. A Bayesian network (BN) model was constructed to identify the optimal range of harvested LNs. Model accuracy was evaluated using the confusion matrix and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. RESULTS: A total of 1268 patients were enrolled in this study. Accuracy of the BN model was 72.82%, and the area under the curve of the ROC for the testing dataset was 78.49%. We found that at least seven LNs should be harvested to maximize survival time, and that the optimal count of harvested LNs was in the range of 7 to 10 overall, with an optimal range of 10 to 11 for N+ patients, 7 to 10 for stage T1-T2 patients, and 7 to 11 for stage T3-T4 patients. CONCLUSIONS: According to a BN model, at least seven LNs should be retrieved for GBAC with curative resection, with an overall optimal range of 7 to 10 harvested LNs.

Biothiols and SO2 derivatives, as essential reactive sulfur species (RSS), play vital roles in various physiological processes and have a close network of generation and metabolic pathways among them. To clarify their complex correlations, fluorescent probes to simultaneously detect GSH, Cys, and SO2 derivatives are highly desirable. Herein, we develop the first fluorescent probe (BO-HEM) to simultaneously discriminate GSH, Cys, and SO2 derivatives. The fluorescent probe is designed by integration of hemicyanine and BODIPY fluorophores through an ether bond. The ether bond of the probe is rapidly replaced by thiolates through nucleophilic aromatic substitution (SNAr) to generate hemicyanine with NIR fluorescence and sulfur-BODIPY. The amino groups of Cys but not GSH then further replace the thiolate to form amino-BODIPY. As for SO32-, nucleophilic addition to the double bond of BO-HEM generates adduct O-BODIPY with green fluorescence. To further improve the sensing performance, the nanoprobe with increased reactivity and biocompatibility is constructed by encapsulation of BO-HEM into the polymeric micelle. More importantly, by taking advantage of the hydrophilicity of the reaction products, the spectral discrimination was further enhanced to avoid signal interference. The nanoprobe is applied to discriminate biothiols and SO2 derivatives in living cells through three-color fluorescence imaging.

BACKGROUND: Obesity is a major risk factor for the global burden of disease in countries that are economically developed or not. This study aimed to investigate the association between diet quality and obesity indicators applying DASH and aMed. METHODS: This cross-sectional study on adult nutrition and chronic disease in Inner Mongolia (n = 1320). Dietary data were collected using 24-h diet recall for 3 consecutive days and weighing method. DASH and aMed were used to assess the dietary quality. WC, BMI and WC-BMI were used as obesity indicators. Logistic regression models were used to examine the associations between diet quality and obesity indicators. RESULTS: Higher diet quality, assessed by DASH, was only associated with WC. The odds ratio (OR) for abdominal obesity in the highest tertile of DASH scores compared with the lowest was 0.71 (95% confidence interval (CI) 0.53, 0.96; Ptrend = 0.03). Furthermore, aMed was inversely associated with obesity indicators. OR for abdominal obesity in the highest tertile of aMed score compared with the lowest were 0.63 (95% CI 0.47, 0.87; Ptrend = 0.005) and 0.57 (95% CI 0.41, 0.77; Ptrend = 0.02) for overweight and obesity, respectively, and 0.60 (95% CI 0.44, 0.81; Ptrend = 0.02) for high obesity risk. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that dietary quality assessed using aMed is more closely associated with obesity than assessment using DASH in working-age adults in Inner Mongolia. The Mediterranean diet can be recommended as a healthy diet to control weight.

Evaluating the catalytic influence of metal sites on derivates obtained from the calcination of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) is very important for the rational construction of novel MOFs. Based on this catalytic functional guidance, two new Co-MOF and CoNi-MOF crystals were designed and synthesized, and further pyrolyzed to obtain corresponding porous carbon-based catalysts. Interestingly, the derivates exhibited better catalytic performance toward the tandem reaction of dehydrogenation of NH3BH3 and subsequent hydrogenation reduction of nitro/olefin compounds than those of the CoNi-ZIF (a star MOF)-derived CoNi@carbon and most metal catalysts. Significantly, the CoNi@C maintained excellent activity, even after 30 cycles, demonstrating its great longevity and durability, which are especially important for the practical application of metal catalysts in industrial catalysis.

The minimum amount of tooth preparation that can be fully controlled is crucial in achieving long-term, stable, and effective aesthetic restoration, which is also a major difficulty in aesthetic restoration. The tooth preparation can be imple-mented efficiently and accurately through digital technology based on the fixed-deep hole guiding technology. Prior the actual tooth preparation, the technology first designs the virtual contour, layering, and virtual occlusion of the prosthesis on the computer. Then, virtual tooth preparation is carried out by cutting back according to the virtual prosthesis. Next, the virtual drilling operation plan is designed according to the shape of the virtual tooth preparation and the contour of the abutment tooth. Finally, the tooth preparation guide plate is designed and printed in 3D. It realizes the whole process of quantitative and precise guidance of dental preparation, visualizes the restoration space, reduces the clinical operation time, and guarantees the quality of dental preparation. It also promotes the improvement of the teaching quality of digital practical exercises.

RESUMO

Due to their unique physicochemical properties, nanoparticles (NPs) have been increasingly developed for use in various fields. However, there has been both growing negative concerns with toxicity and positive realization of opportunities in nanomedicine, coming from the growing understanding of the associations between NPs and the human body, particularly relating to their cellular autophagic effects. This review summarizes NP-induced autophagy via the modulation of the mTOR signaling pathway and other associated signals including AMPK and ERK and also demonstrates how reactive oxygen species generation greatly underlies the regulation processes. The perspectives in this review aim to contribute to NP design, particularly in consideration of nanotoxicity and the potential for the precise application of NPs in nanomedicine.

Ursolic acid (UA) is found in multiple anticancer herbs and has shown anticancer effects in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells. The present study aimed to observe the effects of a combination of UA and oxaliplatin (Oxa), a frequently used chemotherapeutic drug in CRC, on human CRC RKO cells. The results showed that UA and Oxa synergistically inhibited the proliferation of RKO cells. A combination of UA and Oxa induced apoptosis in RKO cells and increased the activities of caspase-3, caspase-8, and caspase-9. Z-VAD-FMK, a caspase inhibitor, significantly antagonized UA- and Oxa-activated caspase-3, caspase-8, and caspase-9 and induced apoptosis. In addition, UA and Oxa downregulated the expression of X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) and Survivin in RKO cells. These observations suggested that a combination of UA and Oxa elicited synergistically anticancer effects in RKO cells and provided new evidence for potential application of UA and Oxa for CRC treatment.

OBJECTIVES: This study assessed the effect of adjunctive intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) on venous thromboembolism incidence in hospitalized patients receiving pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis. METHODS: We searched Medline, Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register with no language restrictions from inception until May 15, 2019, for randomized clinical trials comparing adjunctive IPC in pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis and pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis for venous thromboembolism. Two researchers extracted data from published reports independently. A meta-analysis was conducted to calculate the risk ratio (RR) using random-effects models. Primary outcomes were deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). RESULTS: Eight trials with a total of 7,354 participants were eligible for analysis. Addition of IPC to pharmacologic prophylaxis compared to pharmacologic prophylaxis alone reduced the risk of DVT by 43% (RR 0.57, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.35-0.93; I2 = 0%), with benefit only seen in surgical patients (RR 0.30, 95% CI 0.15-0.59; I2 = 0%) and not in medical patients (RR 0.80, 95% CI 0.60-1.07; I2 = 0%; p for interaction = .008). Addition of IPC reduced the risk for PE by 54% (RR 0.46, 95% CI 0.30-0.72; I2 = 0%), with benefit only seen in surgical patients (RR 0.40, 95% CI 0.24-0.65; I2 = 0%) and not in medical patients (RR 0.82, 95% CI 0.32-2.26; I2 = 0%; p for interaction = .18) CONCLUSIONS: Addition of IPC to pharmacologic prophylaxis confers moderate benefit on venous thromboembolism, with benefit confined to surgical patients. For medical patients, there was a trend toward reduced DVT with adjunctive IPC, which warrants further investigation. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Venous thromboembolism is not unusual among hospitalized patients despite pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis. Nursing personnel should use adjunctive IPC in surgical patients receiving pharmacologic thromboprophylaxis to prevent venous thromboembolism.

Whether intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) is a more effective form of thromboprophylaxis than anticoagulants in individuals undergoing neurosurgery remains controversial. Relevant studies are sparse and inconsistent. Therefore, direct comparisons are difficult to perform and impractical. Hence, we summarized and compared the efficacy and safety of IPC and anticoagulants for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in adults undergoing cranial or spinal procedures. Several electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials on the use of IPC and anticoagulants for thromboembolism prevention in neurosurgical patients, from inception to August 6, 2019. Studies reporting the selected endpoints were included in direct and Bayesian network meta-analyses to estimate the relative effects of the interventions. Overall, our analysis included 18 trials comprising 2474 patients. Both IPC (RR, 0.41; 95% CrI, 0.26-0.60) and chemical prophylaxis (RR, 0.48; 95% CrI, 0.28-0.68) were found to be more efficacious than the placebo in reducing the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). In addition, our analysis also demonstrated that both IPC (RR, 0.10; 95% CrI, 0.01-0.60) and chemical prophylaxis (RR, 0.31; 95% CrI, 0.05-1.00) reduced the risk of pulmonary embolism (PE) significantly more than the placebo. Based on the available evidence of moderate-to-good quality, IPC is equivalent to anticoagulants for thromboprophylaxis in terms of efficacy. Evidence to support or negate the use of pharmacological prophylaxis in terms of safety is lacking. The results of ongoing and future large randomized clinical trials are needed.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the differential gene expression of Shufeng Xuanfei Jiedu formula on whole expression profiles of the inflammation-related cytokines in mice infected with influenza virus by the gene chip technology. METHODS: Male ICR mice were divided into normal group (N group), influenza virus pneumonia model group (M group), oseltamivir control group (C group) and Shufeng Xuanfei Jiedu formula high, medium and low dose groups (SH, SM, SL groups) according to the random number table method, with 10 mice in each group. A mouse model of influenza virus pneumonia was established by nasal drip of influenza virus strain FM1 (0.05 mL); in group N, 0.05 mL normal saline was used. In SH, SM and SL groups, Shufeng Xuanfei Jiedu formula was prescribed after 2 hours of intranasal infection (drug concentration approximately 3.8, 1.9 and 1.0 kg/L), 0.2 mL once a day for 4 days; in group C, the dosage of oseltamivir was 2.5 kg/L; in group N and group M, distilled water was given. On the 5th day, the whole lung of mice was harvested, and the total RNA of lung tissue was extracted and detected after hybridization with mice whole gene expression spectrum chip. Differential expressed genes of cytokines involved in inflammatory pathways were selected. The intensity expression ratio of the chip probe signal in each group vs. M group was calculated, and P < 0.05 and log2 ratio > 1 were defined as up-regulated genes, while P < 0.05 and log2 ratio < -1 were down-regulated genes. The mRNA expressions of interleukin (IL-1, IL-8) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RESULTS: Compared with group N, the differential gene expressions of IL-1, IL-8 and ICAM-1 in group M were significantly up-regulated [log2(N/M) were 2.62, 2.07, 1.41, respectively, all P < 0.05]. Compared with group M, the gene expressions of IL-1, IL-8, ICAM-1 were significantly down-regulated in SH, SM, SL and C groups [log2(SH/M) were -1.91, -1.85, -0.88; log2(SM/M) were -3.10, -1.74, -1.84; log2(SL/M) were -1.89, -1.39, -0.53; log2(C/M) were -2.46, -1.52, -1.44, respectively, all P < 0.05]. RT-PCR showed that the mRNA expressions of IL-1, IL-8 and ICAM-1 in group M were significantly higher than those in group N [IL-1 (2-ΔΔCT): 4.63±0.24 vs. 1.01±0.13, IL-8 (2-ΔΔCT): 6.28±0.13 vs. 1.02±0.09, ICAM-1 (2-ΔΔCT): 2.90±0.18 vs. 1.02±0.12, all P < 0.05]. The mRNA expressions of IL-1, IL-8, ICAM-1 in SH, SM, SL and C groups were lower than those in group M [IL-1 (2-ΔΔCT): 2.12±0.32, 1.71±0.07, 2.05±0.16, 1.66±0.13 vs. 4.63±0.24; IL-8 (2-ΔΔCT): 3.89±0.13, 2.08±0.19, 2.98±0.20, 2.02±0.12 vs. 6.28±0.13; ICAM-1 (2-ΔΔCT): 1.72±0.93, 1.34±0.14, 1.53±0.25, 1.17±0.12 vs. 2.90±0.18, all P < 0.05]. There was no significant difference among the SH, SM, SL and C groups. CONCLUSIONS: Shufeng Xuanfei Jiedu formula inhibits inflammatory damage in mice after influenza virus infection by down-regulating the expressions of IL-1, IL-8, and ICAM-1 inflammatory cytokine-related genes.

OBJECTIVES: To compare the efficacy and safety of levetiracetam and phenytoin for the treatment of established status epilepticus. METHODS: In this systematic review, we searched Medline, Embase, and Cochrane databases from their inception with no language restrictions until May 8, 2019 and updated on February 5, 2020, for randomized controlled trials comparing the efficacy and safety of levetiracetam and phenytoin for the treatment of established status epilepticus. A Meta-analysis was conducted to calculate the risk ratio (RR) using random-effects models. RESULTS: We identified 7 trials with a total of 1028 participants. Levetiracetam was not associated with an increased rate of clinical seizure cessation within 60 min compared with phenytoin (RR, 1.02; 95 %CI, 0.92-1.13; I2 = 3%; 60.0 % [309/515] vs 59.3 % [275/463];12 more events [95 % CI, -48 to 77] per 1000 participants; moderate-quality evidence). Results were similar in the subgroup analysis of adults and children. The sample size met the optimum size in trial sequential analysis. There were also no statistically significant effects on good functional outcome (RR, 1.05; 95 % CI, 0.90-1.23), admission to critical care (RR, 1.09; 95 % CI, 0.95-1.24), or all-cause mortality (RR, 1.09; 95 % CI, 0.55-2.16). CONCLUSIONS: Moderate-quality evidence suggested that levetiracetam was not significantly superior to phenytoin in seizure cessation in patients with established status epilepticus.

Identifying the ideal implantation site is important for the long-term stability and effectiveness of follow-up restorations. Implant surgical guide and navigation are used to determine the implantation site in clinic and improve the precision of implantation. However, due to difficulties in digital methods, such as multiple procedures, high cost, and actual accuracy of more than 1 mm, many physicians still prefer to operate with free hand. In preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative procedures, time-saving and practical methods for implant site evaluation are lacking. In many cases, oral physicians found that the position deviates only by cone beam CT, which was costly to modify the position. In this article, we presented a precise implantation insertion technology that is guided by a measurable technique throughout the implantation application for all implant systems. This method was guided by a dynamic control measuring ruler, which functions together with the measuring and intraoperative locating rulers. The 3D space of the operative area was measured by a measuring ruler prior to operation, and the implant plan and quantitative guidance design were conducted according to the measured and cone beam CT data. The whole implantation process was guided by the dynamic control measuring ruler, and measuring verification results were also considered. This method can realize the quantification of the entire preoperative space analysis, intraoperative precise implantation guidance, and postoperative site measurement and evaluation. This practical technique also helps to adjust the position, improve the implantation accuracy and is suitable in generalizing dental implantation.

SO2, an important gasotransmitter, plays significant roles in human physiological activities. The reported probes for the detection of SO2 derivatives are mostly based on the quenching or blue-shift of fluorescence, leading to interference from the background signal. Herein, we develop a novel FRET-based nanoprobe that shows turn-on fluorescence at 615 nm in the presence of SO32-/HSO3-. The nanoprobe consists of N,O,B-chelated dipyrromethene (BDP) as the energy donor, and hemicyanine derivatives of HEM-CO-Ph with a responsive site to SO32-/HSO3- as the energy acceptor. Initially, the fluorescence of BDP is quenched by HEM-CO-Ph due to the efficient FRET process. In the presence of sulfites, the nucleophilic addition interrupts the conjugation of HEM-CO-Ph and results in a 200 nm blue-shift of the absorption, leading to the suppression of the FRET process and recovery of the red fluorescence of BDP. The nanoprobe shows fast response to SO32-/HSO3- with high selectivity, great biocompatibility and cellular uptake. It is the first supramolecular nanoprobe for the detection of SO32-/HSO3- by using intermolecular energy transfer, ingeniously turning the nanoprobe from "OFF" state to "ON" state. The nanoprobe is applied to monitor exogenous and endogenous SO2 derivatives in the mitochondria of living cells.

OBJECTIVES: The homeostasis of oral pathogenic bacteria and probiotics plays a crucial role in maintaining the well-being and healthy status of human host. Our previous study confirmed that imbalanced oral microbiota could impair mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) proliferation capacity and delay wound healing. However, the effects of balanced oral pathogenic bacteria and probiotics on MSCs and wound healing are far from clear. Here, the balance of pathogenic bacteria Porphyromonas gingivalis and probiotics Lactobacillus reuteri extracts was used to investigate whether balanced oral microbiota modulate the physiological functions of MSCs and promote wound healing. METHODS: The effects of balanced pathogenic bacteria P. gingivalis and probiotics L. reuteri extracts on gingival MSCs (GMSCs) were tested using the migration, alkaline phosphatase activity, alizarin red staining, cell counting kit-8, real-time PCR, and western blot assays. To investigate the role of balanced pathogenic bacteria P. gingivalis and probiotics L. reuteri extracts in the wound of mice, the wounds were established in the mucosa of palate and were inoculated with bacteria every 2 days. RESULTS: We found that the balance between pathogenic bacteria and probiotics enhanced the migration, osteogenic differentiation, and cell proliferation of MSCs. Additionally, local inoculation of the mixture of L. reuteri and P. gingivalis promoted the process of wound healing in mice. Mechanistically, we found that LPS in P. gingivalis could activate NLRP3 inflammasome and inhibit function of MSCs, thereby accelerating MSC dysfunction and delaying wound healing. Furthermore, we also found that reuterin was the effective ingredient in L. reuteri which maintained the balance of pathogenic bacteria and probiotics by neutralizing LPS in P. gingivalis, thus inhibiting inflammation and promoting wound healing. CONCLUSIONS: This study revealed that the homeostasis of oral microbiomes played an indispensable role in maintaining oral heath, provided hopeful methods for the prevention and treatment of oral diseases, and had some referential value for other systemic diseases caused by dysfunction of microbiota and MSCs.

Vegetation plays an important role in the energy exchange, water cycle, carbon cycle, biogeochemical cycle, and maintenance of surface ecosystems. In recent years, regional vegetation cover has changed significantly. This study used statistical analyses, including the Mann-Kendall trend test, the Hurst exponent, and Pettitt test, to analyze the characteristics of temporal and spatial variation of vegetation coverage in the Xijiang River basin from 2000 to 2013. The results showed that vegetation coverage of 98.76% of the Xijiang River basin is weakly variable (Cv < 0.1). The area with significantly increased vegetation accounts for 43.45% of the total area (p < = 0.05). A total of 19.47% of vegetation coverage in the Xijiang River basin had significant change-points from 2004 to 2008 (p < = 0.05), and the area of concave change-points accounted for 25.99% of the total area of point increased the vegetation coverage. At an altitude of 500-2000 m, the altitude has an inhibitory effect on vegetation coverage. When the slope is less than 35 degrees, the slope has a promoting effect on vegetation coverage. Rich precipitation resources are the main source of soil water supply, and higher temperature provides better thermal energy resources, which may have a significant impact on vegetation growth in the future and cause time lag effects of climatic factors on vegetation coverage. The vegetation coverage and the area affected by the precipitation and temperature (time lag factors) accounted for 32.99% and 31.47% of the total watershed, respectively. The correlation between climatic factors, topographic factors, and vegetation coverage increased over time. The results from this study will help to further deepen the understanding of vegetation cover and its influencing factors, and provide a scientific basis for ecological restoration projects such as vegetation restoration in the Xijiang River basin of China.

Objectives: We evaluated the epidemiological features and various inflammatory markers in hospitalized children with influenza virus infection in China. Methods: The real-time RT-PCR assay was performed for detection and genotyping of influenza A and B virus. Th1/Th2 cytokines, WBC, and CRP were determined in influenza virus positive children. Results: H1N1 and Yamagata were the prevalent genotypes of influenza A and B virus in Hangzhou, respectively. IL-2, IL-10, and CRP were significantly increased and IFN-γ was decreased in children with severe Influenza A virus infection, and TNF-α and IFN-γ levels were found to be significantly lower in children with severe Influenza B virus infection. Conclusion: Increased IL-2, IL-10, and CRP with decreased IFN-γ may indicate a severe influenza A virus infection, and decreased TNF-α and IFN-γ may indicate a severe influenza B virus infection in children.

Involuntary mental time travel (MTT) refers to the phenomenon of mentally reliving past experiences or pre-living possible future events in an involuntary form. Few studies have explored involuntary MTT in individuals with schizotypal personality features. The present study aimed to first explore the psychometric properties of the Involuntary Autobiographic Memory Inventory (IAMI) in a Chinese sample (Study 1), and then to explore whether individuals with schizotypal personality features experience involuntary MTT more frequently than individuals without schizotypal features. Moreover, the study explored whether the aberrant frequency of involuntary MTT is correlated with positive schizotypal features (Study 2). The results showed that the IAMI had good structural validity and reliability in a Chinese sample. Individuals with schizotypal traits reported a significantly higher frequency, less positive emotion, and stronger emotional intensity for both involuntary memories and future thoughts compared with individuals without schizotypal features. Further analyses in individuals with schizotypal personality features showed that the frequencies of both involuntary memories and future thoughts were significantly correlated with positive schizotypal traits. These results have potential theoretical and clinical implications for a comprehensive understanding of involuntary MTT among individuals with schizotypal personality features.
