RESUMO

Sulfonylureas (SUs) are a series of anti-diabetic drugs widely used for type 2 diabetes mellitus for clinic treat. However, it is often illegally adulterated in multi-herbal tea to improve the claimed anti-diabetic activity in recent years. In this study, a novel hapten was rationally designed, and a broad-specific monoclonal antibody (anti-SUs mAb) recognizing nine SUs was developed. This mAb was used to develop a colloidal gold lateral flow immunochromatographic assay (CG-LFIA). The anti-SUs mAb demonstrated half inhibitory concentration (IC50) ranged from 0.15 ng/mL to 3.25 ng/ mL for nine SUs by ELISA. The cut-off value of developed CG-LFIA for nine SUs was from 3 to 100 ng/ mL for the spiked samples. LC-MS/MS confirmed the reliability of the new CG-LFIA. The results indicated that the proposed CG-LFIA could be an ideal method in on-site screening surveillance assay for SUs illegally adulterated in multi-herbal tea products.

Research shows that the surface shape of rotary liquid depends on the rotation mode. Mode A is that when the container wall rotates the liquid, the rotating liquid surface is paraboloid. Mode B is that when the rotor in the center of the container rotates the liquid, the rotating liquid surface is vortex. Based on the paraboloid formed by the mode A, the identity between the liquid level parameter and the wall slope K (K ≠ 0) is derived. When K → ∞, with the increase of the container angular spin rate, the liquid level parameter changes are infinite, the liquid level change and volume relationship are fixed. When K > 0, the container is a cylinder with a large upper part and a small lower part and the liquid level parameter changes are limited, and the limit ratio between the liquid level parameters is + 1. In addition, through the vortex experiment by the mode B, it is concluded that the vortex curve can be regarded as composed of three parabolas: the center triggering part, the rising part, and the edge attenuation part. Different from the mode A, the liquid level change and volume relationship caused by the vortex formed by the mode B are both variables. According to the experimental results, the influences of container inner diameter, initial liquid level, rotor size, and rotor speed on the vortex characteristics are discussed in detail. At the same time, based on the experiment, the liquid level change and volume relationship caused by the formation of the vortex are deduced under the ideal condition when a stable liquid surface is formed by the vortex.

Background: NLRP3 inflammasome contributes a lot to sterile inflammatory response and pyroptosis in ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Cardiac fibroblasts (CFs) are regarded as semi-professional inflammatory cells and they exert an immunomodulatory role in heart. Iguratimod provides a protective role in several human diseases through exerting a powerful anti-inflammatory effect. However, it is still unclear whether iguratimod could alleviate myocardial I/R injury and whether inflammation triggered by NLRP3-related pyroptosis of CFs is involved in this process. Methods: Transcriptomics analysis for GSE160516 dataset was conducted to explore the biological function of differentially expressed genes during myocardial I/R. In vivo, mice underwent ligation of left anterior descending coronary artery for 30 min followed by 24 h reperfusion. In vitro, primary CFs were subjected to hypoxia for 1 h followed by reoxygenation for 3 h (H/R). Iguratimod was used prior to I/R or H/R. Myocardial infarct area, serum level of cardiac troponin I (cTnI), pathology of myocardial tissue, cell viability, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) release, and the expression levels of mRNA and protein for pyroptosis-related molecules were measured. Immunofluorescence was applied to determine the cellular localization of NLRP3 protein in cardiac tissue. Results: During myocardial I/R, inflammatory response was found to be the most significantly enriched biological process, and nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain (NOD)-like receptor signaling was a crucial pathway in mediating cardiac inflammation. In our experiments, pretreatment with iguratimod significantly ameliorated I/R-induced myocardial injury and H/R-induced pyroptosis of CFs, as evidenced by reduced myocardial infarct area, serum cTnI level, and LDH release in supernatants, as well as improved pathology of cardiac tissue and cell viability. Immunofluorescence analysis showed that NLRP3 was mainly localized in CFs. Moreover, iguratimod inhibited the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and pyroptosis-related molecules, including NLRP3, cleaved caspase-1, and GSDMD-N. Conclusion: Our results suggested that inflammatory response mediated by NOD-like receptor signaling is of vital importance in myocardial I/R injury. Iguratimod protected cardiomyocytes through reducing the cascade of inflammation in heart by inhibiting cardiac fibroblast pyroptosis via the COX2/NLRP3 signaling pathway.

Liquid gating membranes have been demonstrated to show unprecedented properties of dynamicity, stability, adaptivity, and stimulus-responsiveness. Most recently, smart liquid gating membranes have attracted increasing attention to bring some brand-new properties for real-world applications, and various environment-driven systems have been created. Here, a self-driven system of a smart liquid gating membrane is further developed, by designing a new liquid gating magnetoelastic membrane-based system with reversible meniscus-shaped deformations, and it is not subject to the complex gating liquid restriction of magnetorheological fluid. Compared with other systems, this magnetic responsive self-driven system has the advantage that it provides a universal and convenient way to realize active regulation of gas/liquid release. Experiments and theoretical calculations demonstrate the stability, the non-fouling behavior, and the tunability of the system. In addition, this system can be used to perfectly open and close gas transport, and the gating pressure threshold for the liquid release can be reduced under the same conditions. Based on the above capabilities, combined with the fast and three-dimensional contactless operation, it will be of benefit in fields ranging from visible gas/liquid mixture content monitoring and energy-saving multiphase separation, remote fluid release and beyond. Previous research in extinction indicates no difference in US expectancies for aversive and non-aversive unconditioned stimuli (USs). In this study, we bridged these topics by examining how concurrent perceptual and conceptual cues influence conditioned generalisation of generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) patients by using non-aversive USs. The study included two consecutive phases: acquisition and generalisation. In the acquisition phase, we used blue and purple images as the perceptually conditioned stimuli, images of animals and household items as the conceptually conditioned stimuli, and non-aversive images as unconditioned stimuli (US). In the generalisation phase, we used images containing both conceptual and perceptual cues (e.g. blue animals) as the generalisation stimuli. Participants rated the US expectancy for all images. We found that compared with the control group, the patients exhibited generalisation in response to stimuli that included conditional conceptual cues. These results reveal novel evidence of generalisation in GAD and may have implications for considering the concept-based information in extinction treatment.

Purpose: To investigate the incidence, characteristics, and risk factors of sports-related eye injuries among athletes in Tianjin, China. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out from March 2018 to October 2018. In this study, the athletes from Tianjin University of Sports, Tianjin Vocational College of Sports, and Tianjin provincial sports teams were selected for general investigation. In total, 1,673 athletes were invited and 1,413 participated in the study (response rate of 84.5%). Results: In total, 1,413 athletes were enrolled; 151 had suffered from sports-related eye injuries, with an incidence of 10.7% (95% CI: 9.1-12.0%). Handball (38.5%) was the sport with the highest incidence of eye injuries, followed by water polo (36.4%) and diving (26.7%). Overall, 42.4% of the athletes were injured by ball and 22.5% of injuries came from teammates. The eye injuries usually occurred during training (64.2%) and competitions (14.6%). Adnexa wound (51.7%) was the most common type of injury. About 11.9% of the athletes with eye injuries had the impaired vision; 66.7% failed to see doctors on time. The athletes <18 years of age had a higher risk of eye injuries (odds ratio [OR] =1.60, 95% CI: 1.06-2.40). The athletes with lower family income (<1,000 RMB) were at risk population for sports-related eye injuries (OR = 3.91, 95% CI: 2.24-6.82). Training >4 h a day increased the risk of eye injuries (OR = 2.21, 95% CI: 1.42-3.43). Conclusion: The incidence of sports-related eye injuries among athletes was 10.7% in Tianjin, China. Handball, water polo, and diving were the most common activities of injury. Age, family income, and training time were the risk factors for sports-related eye injuries.

Screening and preliminary identification of high DNMT1 expression-related lncRNA, which is involved in various interrelated signaling pathways, has led to the development of a theoretical basis for various types of disease mechanisms. Differential expression profiles of lncRNA and mRNA were identified in a microarray. Ten lncRNAs with high levels of variation were identified by qRT-PCR. KEGG and GO analyses were used to identify differentially expressed mRNAs. Six signaling pathways were selected based on the KEGG results of the lncRNA-mRNA expression network analysis. From the microarrays in the experimental and control groups, we found a total of 6987 differentially expressed lncRNAs, and 7421 differentially expressed mRNAs were obtained (P < 0.05; fold change > 2.0x). GO analysis and KEGG pathway analysis showed high expression of DNMT1 in esophageal epithelial cells. Nine pathways were involved in mRNA upregulation, including natural killer cell-mediated cytotoxicity and many other prominent biochemical pathways. Forty-six pathways were associated with downregulated mRNAs and ribosomes involving multiple biological pathways. Coexpression network analysis showed that 8 mRNAs and 16 lncRNAs were linked to the p53 signaling pathway. In Helicobacter pylori infections, interactions occurred between 22 lncRNAs and 11 mRNAs in the ErbB signaling pathway and between 19 lncRNAs and 8 mRNAs in epithelial cell signal transduction. Interactions were present between 19 lncRNAs and 5 mRNAs in the sphingolipid signaling pathway, along with interactions between 21 lncRNAs and 12 mRNAs in the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. Cytotoxicity interactions occurred between 22 lncRNAs and 9 mRNAs in natural killer cells.

Myopia is a leading cause of visual impairment and blindness worldwide. However, a safe and accessible approach for myopia control and prevention is currently unavailable. Here, we investigated the therapeutic effect of dietary supplements of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFAs) on myopia progression in animal models and on decreases in choroidal blood perfusion (ChBP) caused by near work, a risk factor for myopia in young adults. We demonstrated that daily gavage of ω-3 PUFAs (300 mg docosahexaenoic acid [DHA] plus 60 mg eicosapentaenoic acid [EPA]) significantly attenuated the development of form deprivation myopia in guinea pigs and mice, as well as of lens-induced myopia in guinea pigs. Peribulbar injections of DHA also inhibited myopia progression in form-deprived guinea pigs. The suppression of myopia in guinea pigs was accompanied by inhibition of the "ChBP reduction-scleral hypoxia cascade." Additionally, treatment with DHA or EPA antagonized hypoxia-induced myofibroblast transdifferentiation in cultured human scleral fibroblasts. In human subjects, oral administration of ω-3 PUFAs partially alleviated the near-work-induced decreases in ChBP. Therefore, evidence from these animal and human studies suggests ω-3 PUFAs are potential and readily available candidates for myopia control.

Decaprenylphosphoryl-ß-D-ribose oxidase (DprE1) plays important roles in the biosynthesis of mycobacterium cell wall. DprE1 inhibitors have shown great potentials in the development of new regimens for tuberculosis (TB) treatment. In this study, an integrated molecular modeling strategy, which combined computational bioactivity fingerprints and structure-based virtual screening, was employed to identify potential DprE1 inhibitors. Two lead compounds (B2 and H3) that could inhibit DprE1 and thus kill Mycobacterium smegmatis in vitro were identified. Moreover, compound H3 showed potent inhibitory activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vitro (MICMtb = 1.25 µM) and low cytotoxicity against mouse embryo fibroblast NIH-3T3 cells. Our research provided an effective strategy to discover novel anti-TB lead compounds.

The conazole fungicide propiconazole is frequently found in vegetables although usage is not allowed. To overcome the high-cost and time-consuming labour requirements of instrumental methods, we developed a simple and visual lateral flow immunoassay for the sensitive determination of propiconazole. A hapten was carefully designed to raise a monoclonal antibody against propiconazole. Bal b/c mice were immunised with the hapten-carrier protein conjugate and a specific monoclonal antibody (mAb) was produced. Based on this mAb, a sensitive immunochromatographic strip assay (ICA) was established for rapid screening of propiconazole in vegetable samples. After optimisation of analytical parameters, the ICA strip showed a detection limit of 0.13 ng g-1 and a linear range from 0.5 to 80 ng g-1 using a strip reader. The assay also can be read by the naked eye with a visual limit of detection of 80 ng g-1. The recoveries for spiked vegetable samples by ICA ranged from 85.2% to 114.9%, with a coefficient of variation less than 11.7%. The assay time is within 45 min for a single sample including the sample pre-treatment. For spiked and blind samples, the detection capability of ICA was equivalent to liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

OBJECTIVES: To develop and validate a radiomics model for evaluating treatment response to immune-checkpoint inhibitor plus chemotherapy (ICI + CT) in patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). METHODS: A total of 64 patients with advance ESCC receiving first-line ICI + CT at two centers between January 2019 and June 2020 were enrolled in this study. Both 2D ROIs and 3D ROIs were segmented. ComBat correction was applied to minimize the potential bias on the results due to different scan protocols. A total of 788 features were extracted and radiomics models were built on corrected/uncorrected 2D and 3D features by using 5-fold cross-validation. The performance of the radiomics models was assessed by its discrimination, calibration and clinical usefulness with independent validation. RESULTS: Five features and support vector machine algorithm were selected to build the 2D uncorrected, 2D corrected, 3D uncorrected and 3D corrected radiomics models. The 2D radiomics models significantly outperformed the 3D radiomics models in both primary and validation cohorts. When ComBat correction was used, the performance of 2D models was better (p = 0.0059) in the training cohort, and significantly better (p < 0.0001) in the validation cohort. The 2D corrected radiomics model yielded the optimal performance and was used to build the nomogram. The calibration curve of the radiomics model demonstrated good agreement between prediction and observation and the decision curve analysis confirmed the clinical utility. CONCLUSIONS: The easy-to-use 2D corrected radiomics model could facilitate noninvasive preselection of ESCC patients who would benefit from ICI + CT.

Different from developed countries, there is a paucity of research examining how the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) and Mediterranean diets relate to lipids in less-developed ethnic minority regions (LEMR). A total of 83 081 participants from seven ethnic groups were retrieved from the baseline data of the China Multi-Ethnic Cohort study, which was conducted in less-developed Southwest China between May 2018 and September 2019. Multivariable linear regression models were then used to examine the associations of the DASH and alternative Mediterranean diet (AMED) scores, assessed by modified DASH score and AMED, as well as their components with total cholesterol (TC), LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, TAG and TC/HDL-cholesterol. The DASH scores were negatively associated with TC, HDL-cholesterol and TAG. Comparing the highest quintiles with the lowest DASH scores, TC decreased 0·0708 (95 % CI -0·0923, -0·0493) mmol/l, HDL-cholesterol decreased 0·0380 (95 % CI -0·0462, -0·0299) mmol/l and TAG decreased 0·0668 (95 % CI -0·0994, -0·0341) mmol/l. The AMED scores were negatively associated with TC, LDL-cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol. Comparing the highest quintiles with the lowest AMED scores, TC decreased 0·0816 (95 % CI -0·1035, -0·0597) mmol/l, LDL-cholesterol decreased 0·0297 (95 % CI -0·0477, -0·0118) mmol/l and HDL-cholesterol decreased 0·0275 (95 % CI -0·0358, -0·0192) mmol/l. Although both the DASH diet and the Mediterranean diet were negatively associated with blood lipids, those associations showed different patterns in LEMR, particularly for TAG and HDL-cholesterol.

The spread of multidrug-resistant and virulent Staphylococcus aureus among children is a public health concern, but the actual conditions in Myanmar have not been characterized. In this study, a total of 244 clinical isolates of S. aureus collected from pediatric patients in Yangon Children's Hospital during a 1-year period were analyzed for their drug resistance and genetic features. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) accounted for 19.7% of isolates associated with staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec) type III, IV, or V. Panton-Valentine leukocidin (PVL) genes were detected in 61.5% of all isolates, with a significantly higher prevalence in methicillin-susceptible S. aureus (MSSA; 67.9%) than in MRSA (35.4%) isolates. Sequence type (ST) 239/SCCmec-III was the most common MRSA clone lacking PVL genes, while PVL-positive MRSA belonged to mostly ST361/SCCmec-V and ST772/SCCmec-V. Among MSSA isolates, ST121, ST2990, ST88, and ST1930 were dominant, harboring mostly PVL genes. ST239 MRSA isolates exhibited the highest resistance rates to antimicrobials, and quinolone resistance was found in the dominant MRSA clones (ST239, ST361, and ST772) and some MSSA lineages. The present study revealed the prevalence and clonal diversity of MRSA/MSSA in children in Myanmar in relation to drug resistance and virulence determinants.

Objectives: Self-compassion-focused interventions may be able to decrease posttraumatic stress symptoms. However, previous studies demonstrated mixed effects in which a series of confounders were not systematically quantified. In this study, a systematic review with meta-analysis was conducted to quantify the effects of self-compassion-focused therapies on posttraumatic stress disorder. Methods: Twelve eligible studies were included after a systematic search of databases. Outcome measures were extracted for posttraumatic stress disorder. Results: Our data indicated a medium protective effect on posttraumatic stress symptoms (SMD = - 0.65), with most of the studies (8/12) coming from clinical settings. More importantly, longer interventions were associated with better posttraumatic stress outcomes (p < 0.001). Baseline or changes in self-compassion scores were not associated with posttraumatic stress outcomes post-interventions. Conclusions: Overall, findings from this meta-analysis quantified the complex influence of self-compassion-focused interventions on posttraumatic stress symptoms and may provide insights for optimizing intervention strategies. Background: The modified Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet was a potentially effective treatment for pre-hypertensive and hypertensive patients. The evidence for the effect of the modified DASH diet on blood pressure reduction was inconsistent. The study was designed to assess the effects of the modified DASH diet on blood pressure (BP) in hypertensive and pre-hypertensive adults. Methods: We searched Medline, Embase, CENTRAL, CNKI, VIP, Wanfang Data, SINOMED, Google Scholar, the World Health Organization's International Clinical Trials Registry Platform, and Clinicaltrials.gov from inception to July 1st, 2021. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) assessing the effects of the modified DASH diet on systolic and diastolic BP, cardiovascular risk factors (body weight, body mass index, waist circumference, fasting glucose, blood lipids), cardiovascular events, and all-cause mortality were included. Statistical analysis was performed using Stata software. Risk of bias was assessed with the Cochrane tool and quality of evidence with GRADE. Results: A total of 10 RCTs were included. Compared with control diet, the modified DASH diet could reduce mean systolic (-3.26 mmHg; 95% confidence interval -5.58, -0.94 mmHg; P = 0.006) and diastolic (-2.07 mmHg; 95% confidence interval -3.68, -0.46 mmHg; P = 0.01) BP. Compared with the controlling diet, the modified DASH diet could reduce systolic BP to a greater extent in trials with a mean baseline BP ≥ 140/90 mmHg compared with <140/90 mmHg. Diastolic BP reduction was greater when the mean body mass index was ≥30 kg/m2 than <30 kg/m2. Diastolic BP reduction was more marked in trials with a follow-up time of >8 weeks compared with ≤8 weeks. The modified DASH diet could affect mean waist circumference (difference: 1.57 cm; 95% confidence interval -2.98, -0.15) and triglyceride concentration (difference: 1.04 mol/L; 95% confidence interval -1.47, -0.60). Conclusions: The modified DASH diet can reduce BP, waist circumference, and triglyceride concentration in hypertension patients. A higher baseline BP is associated with more marked systolic and diastolic BP reduction. Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO registration number: CRD42020190860.

Astaxanthin (AST) has a variety of biochemical effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and antihypertensive functions. The aim of the present study was to determine whether AST ameliorates blood pressure in salt-induced prehypertensive rats by ROS/MAPK/NF-κB pathways in hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus.To explore the central effects of AST on the development of blood pressure, prehypertensive rats were induced by a high-salt diet (HS, 8% NaCl) and its control groups were treated with normal-salt diet (NS, 0.3% NaCl). The Dahl salt-sensitive (S) rats with HS diet for 6 weeks received AST or vehicle by gastric perfusion for 6 weeks. Compared to those with NS diet, rats with HS diet exhibited increased mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR). These increases were associated with higher plasma level of norepinephrine (NE), interleukin 1ß (IL-1ß), and interleukin 6 (IL-6); elevated PVN level of reactive oxygen species (ROS), NOX2, and NOX4, that of IL-1ß, IL-6, monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1), tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), phosphorylation extracellular-signal-regulated kinase (p-ERK1/2), phosphorylation Jun N-terminal kinases (p-JNK), nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) activity; and lower levels of IL-10, superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) in the PVN. In addition, our data demonstrated that chronic AST treatment ameliorated these changes in the HS but not NS diet rats. These data suggested that AST could alleviate prehypertensive response in HS-induced prehypertension through ROS/MAPK/NF-κB pathways in the PVN.

BACKGROUND: Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) is one of the most common causes of mortality and disability worldwide, which has become a global health concern due to the high prevalence, mortality, and disability rate. Naoxintong capsule is an oral Chinese patent preparation used extensively to treat AIS in China. However, the systematic evaluation on the clinical efficacy and safety of Naoxintong capsule is still absent. Therefore, we attempt to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis based on the existing evidence, in order to provide solid support for the clinical practice of Naoxintong capsule in the treatment of AIS. METHODS: We will search both English and Chinese databases, including Scopus, EMBASE, PubMed, Cochrane library, Google Scholar, Web of Science, CNKI, VIP, Wanfang, and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, for randomized controlled trials which focus on Naoxintong capsule treating AIS. The retrieving time was from inception to August 2021. According to eligibility criteria, 2 researchers will independently screen information and assess the quality of selected articles. The RevMan 5.3 (Copenhagen, The Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboration) software will be used for meta-analysis. RESULTS: The clinical efficacy and safety of Naoxintong capsule in the treatment of AIS will be systematically evaluated or descriptive analyzed. CONCLUSION: The study will provide rigorous evidence to identify whether the application of Naoxintong capsule for treating AIS appeared to be adequate reliability regarding on the efficacy and safety. BACKGROUND: To explore the association of cigarette smoking with retinal thickness and vascular structure in an elderly Chinese population. METHODS: This cross-sectional study enrolled employees and retirees aged over 50 years at Tianjin University of Sport from October 2020 to December 2020. Information on smoking status and lifestyle was obtained using a detailed questionnaire. All participants underwent full ophthalmic examination. OCTA image was acquired. Vascular and the thickness parameters in central fovea and peripapillary parameters were automatically calculated. Multiple linear regression analyses were utilized to assess the association of smoking with retinal thickness and vascular structure after controlling potential confounders. RESULTS: Compared with non-smoking adults, current smokers (ß=-36.78; P = 0.01) and ever smokers (ß=-35.45; P = 0.00) tended to have thinner macular fovea. Cigarettes daily, pack-years of smoking and CSI were negatively related to macular thickness (cigarettes daily: ß=-1.43; pack-years: ß=-14.73; CSI: ß=-14.70), while they were positively associated with the circumference (cigarettes daily: ß=0.03; pack-years: ß=0.30; CSI: ß=0.31) and the area of FAZ (cigarettes daily: ß=0.01; pack-years: ß=0.07). CONCLUSIONS: Cigarette smoking seems associated with decreased macular fovea thickness and elevated circumference and area of the FAZ compared to non-smokers. Our data add to evidence of smoking on retinal thickness and the microvascular system in the macular area.

The cumulative effect of positive or negative feedback on subsequent emotional experiences remains unclear. Elucidating this effect could help individuals to better understand and accept the change in emotional experience, irrespective of when they or others receive consecutive positive or negative feedback. This study aimed to examine this effect on 37 participants using self-reported pleasantness and event-related potential data as indicators. After completing each trial, the participants received predetermined false feedback; they were then assessed on a nine-point pleasantness scale. There were 12 false feedback conditions categorized into three valence types. The positive type consisted of three consecutive positive feedbacks and a fourth medium feedback; the medium type contained four consecutive medium feedbacks; the negative type consisted of three consecutive negative feedbacks and a fourth medium feedback. We abbreviated medium false feedback after three positive, medium, and negative false feedbacks as 3 pm, 3 mm, and 3 nm, respectively. The results showed that the score of self-reported pleasantness of 3mm was significantly lower than that of 3 pm and higher than that of 3 nm. The feedback-related negativity amplitude of 3 pm was significantly greater than that of 3 mm and 3 nm, and the late-positive potential amplitude of 3 nm was significantly greater than that of 3 pm and 3 mm. We found that individuals experienced medium feedback more positively and negatively after continuous positive and negative feedback, respectively. Our findings suggest that individuals should seek continuous positive feedback and avoid continuous negative feedback; this strategy may contribute to increased positive emotional experiences in the future.
